101 Lacrosse Teaches Lacrosse to the Youth in Northern California
“Play Hard. Play Smart. Play Together. Have Fun,” is the motto of Northern California based lacrosse organization, 101 Lacrosse. One year after being founded in 2015, 101 Lacrosse is gaining significant traction as a developmental organization for youth lacrosse players in the San Francisco area.
101 Lax believes in developing the passion for lacrosse in their youth athletes. The organization is a developmental, off-season lacrosse program that offers youth and high school teams and tournaments for boys and girls.
“We operate with the mission to give local players the opportunity to improve their game and develop their skill set in a fun, competitive atmosphere that is close to their home,” the organization says.
“We believe our players will be challenged to improve their lacrosse skills, face difficult situations, and develop lasting relationships with their peers and coaches.”
The organization promotes life lessons through hard work, a challenging competitive environment and learning the intangibles of lacrosse. 101 Lax also promotes strong relationships between the coaches and players. “To accomplish this we have a rigorous practice philosophy. We believe in holding regular practices to create consistent contact with coaches and teammates,” the organization says.
“This allows the bond to form between players and coaches, which in turn creates an environment more conducive to learning from each other.”
Panchito Ojeda founded 101 Lacrosse in 2015. Ojeda has made it his mission to bring in quality coaches from high school and college levels to coach athletes in their program. “We hire coaches who share the same core values we do and will develop our players both as lacrosse players and as young people,” the organization says.
With experienced coaches, passionate players and a dedicated owner at the helm, 101 Lacrosse is making a strong impact in Northern California.
To join 101 Lacrosse’s program, players must tryout and register for the respective season, which includes summer, fall and winter seasons. 101 Lax has upcoming tryouts for their U11, U13 and U15 team, being held on August 27th and 28th.
101 Lacrosse operates teams in both San Francisco and Sonoma, California.
