A man who killed his wife for correspondence in Whatsapp was sentenced to 13 years – PHOTO
Bagirova reported that she had had sexual intercourse with another man.
The Baku Grave Crimes Court has completed the process of considering the criminal case of Rabil Abbasov (born 1979), a resident of Baku, accused under article 120.1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (premeditated murder).
According to Oxu.Az , on October 5, 2014 at about 17:00 Ramil Abbasov, during a quarrel, stabbed his wife Saadet Bagirova in an apartment at Nasimi district, st. R.Akhundova, 10, apt. 6, causing her death.
The investigation established that Rabil Abbasov found out about his wife’s telephone correspondence with another man. When he asked his wife who she corresponded with, the latter stated that his name was Tamerlane, and she was dating him.
The humiliated Rabil got angry and, out of jealousy, first hit Saadet with his fist, then grabbed a kitchen knife and inflicted 18 stab wounds on her in various parts of the body, thereby deliberately killing her.
During the investigation, it turned out that Rabil Abbasov, who is engaged in individual labor, in 2005, by the verdict of the Baku Military Court, was sentenced to 2 years under Articles 177 (theft) and 221 (hooliganism), in 2009year, by the verdict of the Nasimi district court – under article 234. 1 (Illegal acquisition or possession without the purpose of selling narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances in an amount exceeding what is necessary for personal consumption) for 2 years and 6 months.
At the trial, Rabil Abbasov fully pleaded guilty and said that he met Saadet Bagirova in 2012 near the Memar Ajami metro station. They got married in the same year, and began to live together with the son of Rabil from his first marriage, Agil, then their son Gadir was born.
On October 5, Rabil came home tired, lay down on the sofa and fell asleep. Around 21:00, he woke up and heard that a message had arrived on his wife’s phone. Saadet saw that he woke up and quickly hid the phone under the covers.
Rabil pretended not to notice anything and asked her to bring him tea. When his wife left the room, he picked up the phone and saw that she was chatting with some man on Whatsapp.
Returning, Saadet saw that the phone was in Rabil’s hands. She approached him and asked for forgiveness.
