How can you watch Altitude Sports. Which providers carry Altitude Sports. Can you access Altitude Sports via streaming services. What to do if your provider doesn’t offer Altitude Sports.
Understanding Altitude Sports and Its Importance for Colorado Sports Fans
Altitude Sports plays a crucial role in bringing live sports action to fans across a 10-state region in the western United States. This regional sports network is the primary broadcaster for several major professional teams based in Colorado, including the Denver Nuggets (NBA), Colorado Avalanche (NHL), and Colorado Rapids (MLS). For devoted fans of these teams, access to Altitude Sports is essential for staying connected to their favorite franchises throughout the year.
What Does Altitude Sports Offer?
Altitude Sports provides comprehensive coverage of Colorado’s professional sports teams, including:
- Over 200 live games featuring the Nuggets, Avalanche, Rapids, and Colorado Mammoth (National Lacrosse League)
- Pre-game and post-game analysis
- Exclusive insider content and behind-the-scenes features
- Coverage of local college sports, including University of Denver athletics
With award-winning production and in-depth coverage, Altitude Sports aims to be the definitive source for Colorado sports fans looking to follow their teams throughout the season.
Current Availability of Altitude Sports
The availability of Altitude Sports has been a topic of concern for many fans in recent years due to disputes with some major television providers. As of now, the network is carried by several providers across its broadcast territory.
Which Providers Offer Altitude Sports?
Altitude Sports is currently available through the following providers:
- DIRECTV
- AT&T TV
- Charter Communications
- Various regional cable providers
The network’s broadcast territory covers Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Utah. However, availability may vary depending on your specific location within these states.
Are There Ongoing Disputes with Any Major Providers?
Yes, Altitude Sports is currently not available on two major providers:
- Comcast (Xfinity) – Agreement expired on August 31, 2019
- DISH Network – Agreement expired on August 28, 2019
Altitude Sports has stated that they are continuing to seek resolutions with both Comcast and DISH Network to restore carriage of the network. These ongoing disputes have left many fans without easy access to their favorite teams’ games.
Options for Watching Altitude Sports
For fans looking to access Altitude Sports, there are several options available depending on your location and current television provider.
Traditional Cable and Satellite Options
If you’re a DIRECTV subscriber, you’re in luck – Altitude Sports reached an agreement with DIRECTV on October 31, 2019, ensuring continued access for their customers. AT&T TV and Charter Communications also carry the network in applicable areas.
To find out which providers offer Altitude Sports in your specific area, you can use the Channel Finder tool available at www.altitudesports.com/channel-finder/.
Streaming Options
For those who prefer streaming, Altitude Sports offers AltitudeNOW, a streaming service available to authenticated subscribers of participating television providers. This allows fans to watch live games and additional programming through the AltitudeNOW website or mobile app on iOS and Android devices.
Is There a Direct-to-Consumer Streaming Option?
Unfortunately, Altitude Sports does not currently offer a standalone streaming service that fans can subscribe to directly. The network has stated that a financially viable model for such a service does not exist at this time, leaving fans dependent on traditional television providers for access.
Navigating Blackouts and Geographic Restrictions
Understanding the rules around blackouts and geographic restrictions is crucial for fans trying to access Altitude Sports content, especially for those living within the network’s broadcast territory.
Can You Use NBA League Pass or NHL Center Ice to Watch Local Teams?
For fans living within Altitude Sports’ broadcast territory, services like NBA League Pass and NHL Center Ice are not a solution for watching Nuggets or Avalanche games. These packages are designed for out-of-market viewing and do not provide access to local team broadcasts.
This means that a Nuggets or Avalanche fan living in Denver cannot use these services to watch their local teams. However, a fan living outside of Altitude’s 10-state territory (for example, in Los Angeles) could potentially use NBA League Pass or NHL Center Ice to watch Nuggets or Avalanche games.
Taking Action: What Fans Can Do
If you’re a fan affected by the ongoing disputes between Altitude Sports and providers like Comcast or DISH Network, there are steps you can take to make your voice heard.
How Can Fans Express Their Concerns?
Altitude Sports encourages fans to reach out to their providers through various channels:
- Phone calls to customer service
- Email communications
- Social media platforms
- Online chat support
- Customer feedback forms
By expressing your desire to have Altitude Sports included in your television package, you may help influence the negotiations between the network and these providers.

Exploring Alternative Viewing Options
While Altitude Sports remains the primary source for local coverage of Colorado’s professional sports teams, fans without access to the network may need to explore alternative options for following their favorite teams.
National Broadcasts
Many Nuggets, Avalanche, and Rapids games are broadcast nationally throughout the season. Networks like ESPN, TNT, ABC, and NBC often carry high-profile matchups, providing an opportunity for fans to catch some games even without Altitude Sports.
Radio Broadcasts
Local radio stations typically carry live broadcasts of games, offering play-by-play commentary that can help fans stay connected to the action. While not a visual medium, radio broadcasts can still provide an engaging way to follow games in real-time.
Social Media and Team Websites
Official team social media accounts and websites often provide live updates, highlights, and post-game recaps. While not a substitute for watching full games, these platforms can help fans stay informed about their team’s performance and key moments.
The Future of Regional Sports Networks and Altitude Sports
The ongoing disputes between Altitude Sports and major providers like Comcast and DISH Network reflect broader challenges facing regional sports networks (RSNs) across the United States.
What Challenges Do Regional Sports Networks Face?
Regional sports networks are grappling with several industry-wide issues:
- Cord-cutting trends reducing traditional cable subscriptions
- Rising costs of sports rights
- Pressure from providers to reduce carriage fees
- Competition from national sports networks and streaming services
These factors have led to increased tension between RSNs and television providers, resulting in carriage disputes like the one affecting Altitude Sports.
Potential Future Developments
As the media landscape continues to evolve, several potential developments could impact the future of Altitude Sports and similar networks:
- Increased integration with streaming platforms
- Partnerships with national sports networks or tech companies
- Development of sustainable direct-to-consumer models
- Changes in league-wide broadcasting strategies
While the exact future remains uncertain, it’s clear that regional sports networks like Altitude Sports will need to adapt to changing viewer habits and industry dynamics to ensure long-term viability and continued access for fans.
Staying Informed: Resources for Altitude Sports Viewers
As the situation with Altitude Sports continues to evolve, it’s important for fans to stay informed about the latest developments and potential changes in availability.
Where Can Fans Find Updates?
To stay up-to-date on Altitude Sports availability and programming, fans can utilize the following resources:
- Altitude Sports official website (www.altitudesports.com)
- Altitude Sports social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
- Official team websites and social media for the Nuggets, Avalanche, and Rapids
- Local sports media coverage in Colorado and surrounding states
Regularly checking these sources can help fans stay informed about any changes in carriage agreements, new viewing options, or updates on ongoing negotiations with providers.
Community Forums and Fan Groups
Engaging with other fans through online forums, social media groups, or local fan clubs can also be a valuable way to share information and stay connected to your favorite teams. These communities often quickly disseminate news and can be a source of creative solutions for accessing games and content.
As the landscape of sports broadcasting continues to change, staying informed and engaged will be crucial for fans looking to maintain their connection to Colorado’s professional sports teams through Altitude Sports.

Access to AltitudeNOW is made available to Altitude subscribers that are authenticated through their television providers at no additional cost. Users can stream live games and additional Altitude programming by visiting AltitudeNOW.com or downloading the AltitudeNOW app on IOS/Android mobile devices/tablets.
Do other cable and satellites providers carry Altitude?
Yes, they do. Please review the list of cable & satellite providers at the end of this document that continue to carry Altitude.
Please use our Channel Finder tool https://www.altitudesports.com/channel-finder/ to find other carriage options within your area.
If the dispute is not resolved, does this mean I will not be able to watch Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Mammoth or Colorado Rapids preseason or regular season games on Altitude?
At this time, you can find Altitude available on DIRECTV, AT&T TV, Charter Communications and other cable providers in a 10-state region that includes Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, South Dakota, Wyoming and Utah. For additional information on cable and satellite providers in your area, visit www.altitudesports.com/channel-finder/.
I live within Altitude’s broadcast territory, can I access Nuggets games via NBA League Pass and Avalanche games via NHL’s Center Ice?
No, you cannot. NBA League Pass and NHL Center Ice packages are services designed to provide out-of market games. These services do not provide games of the local NHL/NBA team. (e.g. a Nuggets/Avs fan living in L.A. anywhere outside Altitude’s 10 state territory can receive Nuggets/Avs games via NBA League Pass/NHL Center Ice)
What does Altitude Sports offer its viewers?
Every year Altitude Sports looks forward to providing fans with the ability to view award-winning coverage of more than 200 Nuggets, Avalanche, Rapids and Mammoth games to viewers in our 10-state territory (Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas, Idaho, Northern New Mexico, Nevada). Altitude Sports will provide live and insider coverage of the upcoming Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets seasons as both come off thrilling playoff runs and have high expectations for the seasons ahead.
Can I access Altitude via a direct-to-consumer streaming option?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. Today a model does not exist that can support a direct-to-consumer streaming option. A direct-to-consumer offering would be very expensive to the consumer and would not raise sufficient revenue for Altitude and the other Regional Sports Networks to remain in business. If this model did not exist, the Regional Sports Networks, including Altitude, would disappear as they would not have sufficient revenue to pay for the rights fees for the wide array of sports programming they provide to their subscribers. As a result, sports fans would not be able to watch their favorite local teams.
There is not a Regional Sports Network in the country that provides a direct-to-consumer streaming option. In fact, both Comcast, which owns the NBC SportsNet Regional Sports Networks in Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Bay Area, Portland/Seattle, and DIRECTV (AT&T), which owns AT&T SportsNet Regional Sports Networks in Colorado (which carries the Colorado Rockies), Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Houston and Pittsburgh, do not currently offer direct-to-consumer streaming options to their consumers.
Altitude does provide AltitudeNOW a service that allows cable and satellite subscribers to watch Altitude via a mobile device, tablet and or laptop.

Watch Altitude Sports without Cable 2021
UPDATE Oct 2021 – Altitude Sports Now Streaming!
Why you can’t watch Altitude Sports on Cable
It’s complicated… TV and Internet Streaming, just like Cable & Satellite bills, keep getting higher and more complex. The Altitude Sports Blackout is all about money. StreamWise Solutions is all about saving you money and making your connected living easier – we have been doing this for over 11 years.
Read on for more details, if you are brave enough to DIY it. If you need help with Cord Cutting and would rather talk to one of our experts about Cutting your Cable TV bill off for good, schedule a call now!
To be clear, everything we recommend is 100% legal and has no contracts, plus will save you a huge amount of money every month over your old Cable bill.
Altitude Sports Blackout – It’s all about money
Before we get into how to watch Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche games without Cable TV, I think it’s important to understand why Altitude Sports is so difficult to get (even if you are paying $2,000+ a year for Comcast Xfinity or Dish Satellite you can’t get it).
2020 had more Cable and Satellite rate hikes and channel blackouts than any other year in the past. And 2021 has brought about more blackouts and contract disputes in streaming services. Still, the ugliest one to date in Denver, has been the Altitude Sports blackout on Comcast Xfinity, Dish Network and almost all streaming services. For all the details on why TV prices and blackouts on Cable TV will only get worse, check out our recent blog on “Why Cable & Satellite prices keep rising”.
The short version is content costs are on the rise, especially for sports (think Patrick Mahomes recent $500 million dollar contract). This forces Content Providers (ESPN) to raise prices. These higher prices then get passed along to the Pay TV Providers (Comcast, DirecTV, Dish). Pay TV Providers have a lot less customer as well as smaller margins on TV since they lost over 10 million subscribers to Cord Cutting over the last 2 years. This forces Cable and Satellite providers to choose between blacking out channels or raising prices (usually with sneaky fees) for their dwindling customer base. Typically they do both and industry experts predict that Cable & Satellite blackouts and price hikes on your bill will only get worse.
Speak with a Cord Cutting Expert Today:
We help you with the ins and outs of internet, WiFi networks, streaming media players, and streaming services & apps, because your entertainment experience matters to us.
Corona Virus and Cord Cutting are changing sports on TV forever
Sitting down with a Corona and hanging out with your friends to watch the big game used to be a glorious thing to do. In 2021 it’s taken on a whole new meaning. Corona Virus has limited people gathering in groups, shut down sports bars, closed stadiums and even postponed or completely cancelled entire sports seasons. The resulting recession is forcing people to cut off their big bloated Cable TV bundle bills and Cut The Cord at a record pace.
If you are paying for Cable or Satellite as a sports fan, you need to ask yourself. Why am I paying $2,000+ every year to Comcast, when I can get all of the same sports channels for half the cost with no contract?
Regional sports networks like Altitude Sports are some of the most expensive channels around, and less than 15% of subscribers watch local teams daily. All signs point to Regional Sports becoming less important for most people. Additionally, old Cable TV will continue to lose customers because there are much less expensive options to get Cable Channels and ALL Colorado RSNs with no contract, without Cable or Satellite.
How long will the Altitude Sports Cable TV blackout last?
This is a true “battle of the bigs”. No, I don’t mean Nikola Jokic versus Anthony Davis, I am talking Comcast Xfinity versus Altitude Sports/Kroenke. I think this could easily drag on for years. The Denver Post thinks this impasse will last a long time and has a great Q&A article that goes a long way to explaining why.
NO Altitude Sports Blackout on Streaming
Find out how you can cut your Cable bundle bill in half and get ALL Denver Nuggets & Colorado Avalanche games on Altitude Sports!
What is the best option to watch Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche games without Cable?
It depends on what type of local sports fan you are…
- TV Antenna for the Fair Weather Sports Fan – You don’t want to pay, you just want to get the major NBA or NHL games legally for free. If this is you, then an Outdoor or Attic Whole Home TV Antenna will get you the most popular games and most playoff games in HD for free on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. The better the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche do, the more games you will see on network TV. BONUS – ALL Denver Broncos NFL games are free via a TV Antenna too!
- Streaming Cable TV Channels for the Average Joe Sports Fan – You don’t mind paying a little to get more NBA and NHL games. During NBA and NHL season, you can add in Streaming TV via Sling to get more games. You can get any cable channel you like without a contract – ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, NBA TV, NBC SN, NHL Network & more. BONUS – since Sling is no contract, you can cancel it after the NBA or NHL season and save even more money!
- Streaming Altitude Sports for the Avaholic or Nugget Nut (yes, I just made these up) – You need all the Nuggets and Avalanche games, but don’t want to pay $2000+ every year and deal with Blackouts and Contracts on Cable or Satellite. Subscribe to AT&T DIRECTV Stream and sign up for their Choice package which includes Altitude Sports w/ no contract. The key is you only need to pay for this during NBA or NHL season, and then cancel it to save more money for the other 8 months of the year. Side benefit – get all Colorado Rockies MLB games on AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain without Cable.
Common Streaming, WiFi and Internet Issues and how to fix them!
If you already have issues with your Internet, WiFi or Streaming now, then Streaming Live TV will be even worse. Streaming Live TV is much more resource intensive than an on demand streaming service like Netflix. The quality of Streaming Live TV can be just as good as Cable TV, but only if you have the right hardware installed properly.
Here is everything you need to ensure the best results with live streaming:
- 50+ MBPS High Speed Internet
- Mesh WiFi Network with streaming device prioritization
- Top Streaming Media Player with a high quality WiFi receiver
- Top quality Streaming Service (we dont normally recommend DirecTV Stream), as there are better and less expensive options).
- Call the experts at StreamWise Solutions to do it right the first time – consult, install, training & support.
Check out the video below for expert recommendations on Internet, WiFi & Streaming!
Best way to watch Denver Nuggets without Cable in 2021
To recap above, you can get major Denver Nuggets NBA games and playoffs in HD for free with an attic or outdoor TV Antenna. For even more Denver Nuggets games on Cable TV networks like ESPN, TNT and NBA TV, you can add on a streaming service like Sling TV for a few months. For full on Altitude Sports the only option is to subscribe to AT&T DIRECTV Stream and sign up for their Choice package which includes Altitude Sports w/ no contract. NBA League Pass is a great option for any out of market NBA teams, but they will block and time delay any local Denver Nuggets games. All Denver Nuggets games are free at the local sports bar, or on the radio on FM 92.5 Altitude Sports Radio. See the full 2021 Denver Nuggets TV Schedule.

To recap above, you can get major Colorado Avalanche NHL games and playoffs in HD for free with an attic or outdoor TV Antenna. For even more Colorado Avalanche games on Cable TV networks like NBC Sports Network, CNBC, USA Network and NHL Network, you can add on a streaming service like Sling TV for a few months. Subscribe to AT&T DIRECTV Stream and sign up for their Choice package which includes Altitude Sports w/ no contract if you need all the games via Altitude Sports.
ESPN+ is a great option for any out of market NHL teams. However, they will block most local Colorado Avalanche games. All Colorado Avalanche games are free at the local sports bar, or on the radio on FM 92.5 Altitude Sports Radio. Here is the 2021 Colorado Avalanche schedule.
To make matters worse for Colorado Avalanche fans, Comcast Xfinity owns NBC SN. Therefore, the ongoing dispute with Altitude Sports and Comcast has resulted in more Avalanche games being blacked out on this channel if you are still paying for Cable TV through Comcast Xfinity.
Altitude Sports Streaming Colorado Avalanche Games without Cable TV
Altitude Sports just announced that you can get ALL Live Colorado Avalanche games on Altitude Sports without paying for expensive Cable or Satellite! So now Colorado sports fans have even more of a reason to Cut The Cord from Cable TV, save lots of money every month and get all Colorado Avalanche regular season and playoff Basketball games without a contract.
Schedule a call with an expert if you need help setting up an easy to use streaming option for Altitude Sports.
Conclusion: Cut your Cable bill in half and get all Denver Nuggets & Colorado Avalanche games with no contract!
For myself, like most people, I am in between option #1 (Fair Weather Fan) and #2 (Average Joe). What is great about being a Cord Cutter is that I am in control. I can decide if and what sports I want to pay for and for how long I want to pay, since there are no contracts. So if the Nuggets or Avalanche are doing good towards the end of the season maybe I subscribe to Altitude Sports for a month or two. If they are doing bad I simply cancel my Altitude Sports streaming package when I decide I no longer want it – simplicity and savings.
If you need all the Avs and Nuggets games then the only way to get the full Altitude Sports is via streaming through AT&T TV with the Choice Package.
Altitude Sports is in more expensive upper tier Cable and Satellite bundles and still blacked out Comcast Xfinity and Dish, so seems like a no brainer to dump Cable and Satellite to get the channels you want for half the cost with no contracts. StreamWise Solutions even has an easy to use option that is an integrated Cord Cutting combo of Antenna + Streaming. This option gives you max freedom and max savings every month, plus easy access for you to take control back and change whenever you like.
Now you know how to watch Altitude Sports and all Denver Nuggets & Colorado Avalanche games, the only thing you need to do next is Cut The Cord from your old expensive Cable TV provider – StreamWise Solutions can show you how to finally take control back for good and cut your monthly bundle bill in half!
How to Watch Colorado Avalanche NHL Games Live in 2021
It is possible to watch Colorado Avalanche games live online or on TV without an expensive Cable TV package. Usually these games are on Altitude Sports, but that may change depending on schedule, type of game or national interest.
Live Streaming Colorado Avalanche Games
The Colorado Avalanche play most of their games on Altitude Sports, a regional sports network. Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) are not common on streaming services, but when they do exist they are usually only available for an additional fee.
Here are the live streaming services that carry Altitude Sports †:
† There may be an extra fee on top of the regular plan price to receive this channel.
Using NHL.tv
The NHL also has NHL.tv, which live streams all out-of-market games for all teams. Unfortunately, Colorado Avalanche games on here are subject to blackouts if you are within what is considered the team’s “home region”.
If you find yourself trying to watch a game on NHL.tv that is blacked out, you will need a VPN to mask your location.
Removing Local Blackout Restrictions
If the NHL attempts to blackout live streaming of Colorado Avalanche games due to you being within the their home viewing area, use a VPN to get around it.
By using a VPN, or virtual private network, your home’s exact location is masked. Teams then cannot determine if you are within their blackout “range”, thus allowing you to watch whatever sports team you want.
Our favorite VPN service — and one of the most respected — is NordVPN. I recently switched to NordVPN, which is the most trusted VPN service anywhere. I can vouch that they work for this exact use-case because I’ve done it.
A VPN hides where you actually are on the internet. After purchasing their service, you get an IP address that is registered from some far-away place (think Germany, Italy or Seattle), and that IP is either entered into your home internet router or via their downloaded “VPN app” on whatever device you plan on watching sports on (phone, TV, tablet, etc). This IP address acts as a disguise to the various major sports teams that attempt to “blackout” their streaming services for those of us that can simply watch it on our TVs or computers.
Are VPNs Legal?
When used for watching TV and your local sports teams, VPNs are not illegal and anyone can use a VPN service to watch sports without fear of the police coming knocking at your door. The act of surfing the web or streaming shows through another IP is completely legal, and is something even the largest companies in the world do all the time. However, if you hide behind a VPN service to perform illegal activities, then you’re of course violating the law – and we would never condone that.

Chelyabinsk – interesting facts about the city, statistical data
Chelyabinsk is the administrative center of the Chelyabinsk region, in terms of the number of inhabitants it ranks seventh among Russian cities with a population of over one million. It is located in the center of Eurasia, on the eastern slope of the Ural Mountains, at a distance of 1,879 km from Moscow.
City of metallurgists
In Russia there are many jokes about Chelyabinsk, they play up the fact that the inhabitants of the city are particularly harsh. This is not surprising, because many people work in production, since Chelyabinsk is a large industrial center, which includes enterprises of metallurgy, mechanical engineering and metalworking, instrument making, chemical, light and food industries. But the main products of the city are metal (high quality alloys, stainless steel), including zinc, various heavy equipment and pipes. There are about 150 large enterprises operating in the city today.
City between Europe and Siberia
An interesting fact: from a geological point of view, one half of Chelyabinsk is located in Siberia, since this part of the city is located in a zone of sedimentary rocks, and the other half is on granite typical for the Urals. The river Miass delimits them, and connects them – the Leningradsky bridge, through it the inhabitants of the city can get from Siberia to the Urals and back several times a day.
Modern city
Chelyabinsk was founded in 1736 on the site of the Cossack fortress of Chelyaba. A camel is depicted on the city’s coat of arms – this is a reminder that once a trade route from India passed here. Today, old buildings have survived only in the center; there are pedestrian streets paved with tiles. As for the rest, Chelyabinsk mainly has Soviet-era buildings, but there are also modern business and shopping centers, hotels and high-rise residential buildings.
Green city
Despite the fact that Chelyabinsk is, first of all, an industrial city, there are many parks and greenery in it. So, for example, in the center there is a real forest – the Chelyabinsk urban forest, which is part of the Central Park of Culture and Rest. Gagarin. Another popular place where the townspeople love to walk is the Aloe Pole public garden, in spring hundreds of red tulips bloom here.
City of Culture
Residents of Chelyabinsk not only actively work, but also culturally rest. There are many museums here, for example, a geological one, where all the minerals mined in the Urals are collected. There is also a philharmonic society, a circus, a jazz center, the Opera House and the Academic Drama Theater are popular. The city hosts various events every year, such as the Camerata Chamber Theater Festival and the International Organ Music Festival. In the summer in the Chelyabinsk region, on the shore of Lake Ilmen, the famous festival of author’s songs is held, where bards from all over Russia gather. And in the fall, the Wrong Cinema festival is traditionally held, where art-house films are shown.
Sports city
The city hosts a variety of sports events, for example, in 2012 the European Judo Championship was held here, the guests noted the high level of organization of the event. Also, every year on New Year’s Eve in Chelyabinsk there is a tradition to hold a big New Year’s workout for young people. All high school students and students who want to compete in six types of street sports.
The city where the meteorite fell
In 2013, news spread around the world – a meteorite fell in Chelyabinsk, more precisely, its fragments, the fall was accompanied by a series of explosions, because of them glass was broken in several houses. This significant event took place on February 15 and attracted attention to the city. But most of all, the world community was surprised by the equanimity of the inhabitants of Chelyabinsk: many of them, instead of fleeing in horror from the meteorite, rushed towards it, filming the fall on the phone and commenting on what was happening.

Park for the anniversary of VAZ. The first solemn presentation with sketches
At the forum “City of the Future” in Togliatti, a project of a park in honor of the 50th anniversary of AVTOVAZ and the release of the first car was presented. The sketches made an impression. The project was presented by the president of the Italian company “Bertone Design” Aldo Chingolani.
Let me remind you that we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of VAZ next year. This will be the anniversary of the signing of documents on the construction of the enterprise. And in 2020 there will be 50 years of production of the first car. Now Togliatti, together with the regional government, is planning all kinds of events, not only festive ones. They want to coincide with the anniversary dates of various kinds of city improvement events, asking for money from the federation for this. In principle, the go-ahead has been received, now we are talking about agreeing on the numbers and, in fact, the events themselves.
The project of the park, which for some reason is called a boring memorial, is from the same series. However, I have not yet heard specific figures and terms on it.I hope this does not mean that the park will not take place. A very beautiful project)
The park should appear between Revolutionary Street and Victory Park – where abandoned fountains have stood for years. It turns out an elongated park area, on which it was decided to play, supporting the geometry with long inner paths. The sketch also shows that the park is divided into zones.
The main part of the park, a place of attraction, should be a 4-storey exhibition center. The facade is “surrounded” by metal racks, there are 500 of them with a height of 6 to 16 meters. The upper part has a “Zhiguli” silhouette. The ceiling will be transparent. It is also planned to provide for a system of projectors that will display images on the facade.
Inside the building. 1st and 2nd floors – directly the exhibition space. There is an idea to make an exit to the roof.
Here in this photo, the diagram in the lower right corner shows the internal structure in section)
Zoning involves play areas, playgrounds, ponds, which will become ice rinks in winter.
Fountain.
Four Seasons Park. Each season has its own plants.
Skate Park. As Mr. Chingolani said, this is what the youth lack. The creation of a skate park in the city has been actively discussed over the past few years.
One of the two main entrances to the park. This arch symbolizes the VAZ conveyor.
And this is another entrance. Monument “kopeck”, which includes the salt clock-meridian. The Italian assured that the watch was designed with the participation of a major international expert in this field. The cover is made of 50 slabs, each of which can be marked with key dates in the life of the city from the past and with a margin for the future.
Water Sports – Canon Russia
Surfing, river kayaking and other water sports are spectacular subjects for photography. Emotions, splashes, jumps, turns and speed will require patience and some effort to achieve excellent results. Here are some tips for capturing and printing great photos.
- Using Sport Mode
- Reduce unwanted blur
- Using shutter priority (Tv) mode
- Using AF area
- Using fast lenses to capture motion
- Image quality settings
- Taking pictures of moving objects
- Presenting pictures at their best
No matter where you plan to shoot – underwater, on the shore of a local lake or on the beach – always consider your surroundings, think about your safety and the safety of those around you.Read more
Use one of Canon’s dedicated waterproof cases to reliably protect your camera in the water and at the beach. Sand and splashes are not a problem. These hard cases allow you to shoot underwater at depths of up to 40 meters. In addition, the cases have secure buttons that allow you to access all of the camera’s functions.
We recommend that you install a fully charged battery and a memory card with plenty of free space so that you do not have to open the case while shooting. Several small silica gel pouches reduce moisture inside the case.
If you do not plan to dive under water, use a lens hood to eliminate glare and a splash filter to keep sand out of the front lens element.
Using Sports Mode for Fast-Moving Subjects
Action sports are best filmed when the camera is optimized to track your subject and capture fast-moving subjects.Rotate the mode dial on the camera to select “Sports” mode, or if the camera has an LCD screen, go to the scene mode list and select “Sports” on the camera screen.
Sports mode will slow down the shutter speed and help you capture a moving subject clearly. Sports mode also changes the way the camera’s autofocus works to better track moving objects.
For best results, press and hold the shutter button halfway to focus before the subject reaches the ideal shooting position. In addition, Sports mode switches the camera to continuous high-speed shooting and takes a series of pictures while pressing the shutter button all the way. In case you are shooting high-motion scenes, then high-speed high-capacity memory cards help you maximize the number of shots in a burst.
Advice. When using Sports mode, it is best to take a few photos and then release the shutter button and recompose the frame.
Reducing unwanted blur: Image Stabilizer
Long zoom lenses with Image Stabilizer help to compensate for camera shake, but guiding on moving subjects can reduce the effectiveness of image stabilization.Locate the switch on the side of the lens, and if the lens is equipped with a mode switch 1/2, select mode 2. Some lenses automatically switch to mode 2, detecting “wired” shooting.
Fast-moving subjects are often shot at very fast shutter speeds. Set the shutter speed to 1/500 s or less. A shutter speed of 1/2000 s may be required to clearly record splashing water. During shooting, you may not notice changes in lighting. If the shutter speed is very fast, the lens may not be fast enough to obtain the optimal exposure.A fast lens has a large maximum aperture (low f-number) that lets in more light for fast shutter speed action scenes. Using Auto ISO or Custom ISO Safety Shift will help you get the optimal exposure for the best results.
Using AF area
EOS cameras have multiple focus points spread across the frame and typically focus on the object closest to the camera. To know exactly where the camera will focus in the frame, try picking a small group of focus points and keeping them on your subject.
This may require additional skills, but the results are worth it. For most scenes with fast-moving subjects, single-point focusing may not be effective enough to capture clear shots, as the subject can easily get out of focus. AF point selection is available only when one of the Creative Zone modes is selected – P, Tv, Av, M.
Using fast lenses to capture motion
Professional sports photographers working with Canon equipment often use L-series lenses because they have a large maximum aperture and allow close-ups of distant objects.
The choice of lens depends on how close you are to the subject. Longer distances require longer lenses, although wide-angle lenses can also be used for impressive shots.
90,000 Russians named the three most popular sports – RBK
Russians practice most sports less often than they watch them on TV.The exceptions were swimming and martial arts.
Photo: Alexey Filippov / RIA Novosti
Three quarters of Russians (75%) are somehow interested in sports, regularly or periodically go in for any of its types 34% of the country’s inhabitants, another 41% limit themselves to watching competitions on TV or in stadiums, follows from the report of an independent research agency MAGRAM Market Research, which entered RBC.
Its experts have found that Russians are interested in most sports primarily as a show. For example, about a third of the respondents (32–33%) follow ice hockey and figure skating competitions, but only 3% and 5% of those who go out on the ice themselves, respectively. The situation with football is a little better – 34% like to watch others play, but only 13% of survey participants admitted that they are not averse to playing on their own.
Russians even play chess and billiards less often than they look at how others play them (4 versus 7% and 2 versus 5%, respectively).
Swimming (19% swim on their own, 18% watch competitions), wrestling and martial arts (9 versus 5%) and gymnastics (5 and 4%) were a few exceptions to the rule.
Swimming topped the list of sports that Russians do themselves. In addition, skiing (16%) and running (15%) were in the top three.

In EVERYDAY trouble and did not notice a historical event: in September, world food prices reached a 10-year high! But this, it turns out, is not the whole truth.Scientist Alastair Smith pays attention to her, not all. With inflation lurking in our pockets, grocery shopping is harder now than it has been in the previous six decades. It is worth recalling that in 1961, after the monetary reform, an old acquaintance – the American dollar – in Ukraine began to be valued at 90 kopecks.
Yes, not the same Mirgorod now …
Being tied to world prices, the Ukrainian market behaves the same way as they do – it jumps higher and higher! In just a year, chicken eggs in our country have risen in price by 29%, sugar – by 35%, sunflower oil launched on the coast – has become more expensive by 59%.Such a price jump is “not noticed” except by the judges who are treated kindly by the authorities, and with them – parliamentarians, corrupt officials and “sitting on Olympus”.
Rising food prices have rebelled against droughts, energy prices, rail and sea transport … This also includes the prices of fertility pellets. And without sufficient fertilization, what are the yields?
It is so, but the prices for fertilizers are catching up or even surpassing the cost of food. Alexander Zakharchuk, head of the department of investment and material and technical support of the Institute of Agrarian Economics, draws attention to this: “Ammonium nitrate (nitrogen fertilizer) has doubled in price – from 9 thous.UAH / t in February-March to 18-19 thousand UAH / t in October. Urea (concentrated nitrogen fertilizer) with delivery is now being sold at UAH 27.7 thousand / ton, which is almost three times more than at the beginning of the year. Imported products cost UAH 2-3 thousand more ”.
The earth is no longer just starving, as in times of hard times. She loses her God-given ability to give birth!
Scientists of the Institute of Geography of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine commissioned by the public organization “Ecodia” conducted a study “The impact of the concentration of agricultural land on society and the environment in Ukraine.”And we came to the conclusion: our best land in the world is depleting. And here – as a connecting vessel: poor land – poor, therefore hungry, people. Who cares?
Corn, rapeseed, soybeans, the crops of which have grown by 2.7% over the past three years and occupy 40% of the arable wedge annually, literally deplete the land – especially in Polesie, Volyn, and the Carpathian region.
Scientists of the Institute of Geography of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine pay special attention to this gloomy fact: The main reason for the rapid increase in acreage for these crops is the intensive agricultural activity of agricultural companies. They are interested in growing more profitable crops like corn, sunflower, rapeseed and soybeans. In 2020, only 10 of the largest agricultural holdings controlled 2.66 million hectares of agricultural land.
The consequences of such “aggressive” agricultural activities are not only an increase in the risk of soil degradation, but also the likelihood of deterioration in the quality of ground and surface waters, disappearance of streams and siltation of small rivers, loss of biodiversity of the territory. ”
Who will stop this impudent “aggression” of stubborn latifundists? And what can be done in general?
The publication “Economic Pravda” cites a fair proposal by an expert on land use NGO “Ecodia” Mikhail Amosov: , which will reduce the consumption of pesticides and mineral fertilizers.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers must develop a program and action plan for the withdrawal from intensive use of already degraded land. The Verkhovna Rada must urgently adopt bill 3091-d, concerning the reform of the system of state environmental control, including over land use. ”
It is so. Only is the government capable, are the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, and also at the local level, able to lend a hand to the land-breadwinner? Not tomorrow – today! Where to go?
“The situation is fraught with food security. After all, the problem is not only in the rise in prices for food products, but also in a smaller harvest, income, a decrease in foreign exchange earnings and taxes paid by the state in the agricultural sector, ”- Alexander Zakharchuk, head of the department of investment and material and technical support of the Institute of Agrarian Economics, sounds justified alarm.
