(e.g. a Nuggets/Avs fan living in L.A. anywhere outside Altitude’s 10 state territory can receive Nuggets/Avs games via NBA League Pass/NHL Center Ice)

What does Altitude Sports offer its viewers?
Every year Altitude Sports looks forward to providing fans with the ability to view award-winning coverage of more than 200 Nuggets, Avalanche, Rapids and Mammoth games to viewers in our 10-state territory (Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas, Idaho, Northern New Mexico, Nevada). Altitude Sports will provide live and insider coverage of the upcoming Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets seasons as both come off thrilling playoff runs and have high expectations for the seasons ahead.

Can I access Altitude via a direct-to-consumer streaming option?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. Today a model does not exist that can support a direct-to-consumer streaming option. A direct-to-consumer offering would be very expensive to the consumer and would not raise sufficient revenue for Altitude and the other Regional Sports Networks to remain in business.  If this model did not exist, the Regional Sports Networks, including Altitude, would disappear as they would not have sufficient revenue to pay for the rights fees for the wide array of sports programming they provide to their subscribers. As a result, sports fans would not be able to watch their favorite local teams.

There is not a Regional Sports Network in the country that provides a direct-to-consumer streaming option.  In fact, both Comcast, which owns the NBC SportsNet Regional Sports Networks in Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Bay Area, Portland/Seattle, and DIRECTV (AT&T), which owns AT&T SportsNet Regional Sports Networks in Colorado (which carries the Colorado Rockies), Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Houston and Pittsburgh, do not currently offer direct-to-consumer streaming options to their consumers.

Altitude does provide AltitudeNOW a service that allows cable and satellite subscribers to watch Altitude via a mobile device, tablet and or laptop.

AltitudeNOW is the streaming platform for Altitude Sports & Entertainment programming. Valid subscribers have access to stream live Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids games including pre and post-game shows, plus additional Altitude programming.

What is a valid subscriber?
A valid subscriber is someone with a paid subscription with one of our participating TV providers who’s billing address falls within the Altitude Sports broadcast territory.

What is the Altitude Sports broadcast territory?
The Altitude Sports & Entertainment territory covers 10 states in the Rocky Mountain region and varies based on the league.

• Colorado Avalanche (NHL): CO, WY, UT, MT, ID, NE, KS and parts of NM and NV
• Denver Nuggets (NBA): CO, WY, NE, KS and parts of NM, ID and SD
• Colorado Rapids (MLS): CO, WY, UT, MT, ID, NE, KS and parts of NM, SD and NV

How do I authenticate?
You will be asked to select your provider from the available options on the AltitudeNOW website or app, then log in using your video subscriber username and password to be authenticated.

What if I travel out of town; can I still stream the games?
Yes, valid Altitude Sports subscribers can stream games wherever they go, using the AltitudeNOW website/app or (if available) through the digital platforms of your provider, i.e., their website or app.

If my video provider does not carry Altitude Sports will I be able to watch the games on the AltitudeNOW website or app?
No, the only way to stream games in the Altitude Sports territory is to have a valid subscription through your television provider that includes the Altitude Sports channel.

What providers are participating and can be authenticated?
Participating TV providers are displayed after clicking the play button on the homepage of AltitudeNOW.

I forgot my username and password. What do I do?
Please contact your video provider to recover your username and/or password.

Will I get to see re-airs, pre, post, magazine shows?
Yes. All Altitude pre, post and magazine shows are available via the AltitudeNOW stream.

What are the technical requirements and what devices will work?
Streaming with AltitudeNOW will be available on both PC and Mac platforms as well as all iOS and Android mobile/tablet devices. To watch Altitude programming on any of these platforms, you will need to authenticate using your valid TV subscription credentials.

If I am having technical problems with my PC, Mac or mobile device who do I call?

If I live outside of the Altitude Sports territory, can I subscribe directly to AltitudeNOW?
No, the only way to access digital streaming of Altitude Sports on AltitudeNOW is to have a valid subscription through your television provider that includes the Altitude Sports channel.

If I live outside of the Altitude Sports territory, and currently pay for NHL Center Ice or NBA League Pass, am I able to watch the games through AltitudeNOW?
No. Live streaming capabilities on the AltitudeNOW website and app can only be accessed by valid television subscribers.

I live in the Altitude Sports territory and my television provider doesn’t offer Altitude as one of their basic channels. What can I do?
Please contact your provider to let them know you want Altitude Sports added to your channel line-up!

Can I purchase Altitude Sports programming?
Altitude does not offer DVDs of our broadcasts; however, we do air two replays of most games on game nights and the following morning and will re-broadcast most of our programming at one or many points in time. Many programs are also available through Video On Demand. You can also contact the various leagues, schools, or venues involved to see whether a duplicate can be made.

What if two games are on at the same time?
Valid Altitude subscribers can choose which game to watch (normal league territory restrictions apply.)

Altitude Sports Blackout – It’s all about money

Before we get into how to watch Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche games without Cable TV, I think it’s important to understand why Altitude Sports is so difficult to get (even if you are paying $2,000+ a year for Comcast Xfinity or Dish Satellite you can’t get it).

2020 had more Cable and Satellite rate hikes and channel blackouts than any other year in the past. And 2021 has brought about more blackouts and contract disputes in streaming services. Still, the ugliest one to date in Denver, has been the Altitude Sports blackout on Comcast Xfinity, Dish Network and almost all streaming services. The short version is content costs are on the rise, especially for sports (think Patrick Mahomes recent $500 million dollar contract). This forces Content Providers (ESPN) to raise prices. These higher prices then get passed along to the Pay TV Providers (Comcast, DirecTV, Dish). Pay TV Providers have a lot less customer as well as smaller margins on TV since they lost over 10 million subscribers to Cord Cutting over the last 2 years. This forces Cable and Satellite providers to choose between blacking out channels or raising prices (usually with sneaky fees) for their dwindling customer base. Typically they do both and industry experts predict that Cable & Satellite blackouts and price hikes on your bill will only get worse.

Scientists of the Institute of Geography of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine commissioned by the public organization “Ecodia” conducted a study “The impact of the concentration of agricultural land on society and the environment in Ukraine.”And we came to the conclusion: our best land in the world is depleting. And here – as a connecting vessel: poor land – poor, therefore hungry, people. Who cares?

Corn, rapeseed, soybeans, the crops of which have grown by 2.7% over the past three years and occupy 40% of the arable wedge annually, literally deplete the land – especially in Polesie, Volyn, and the Carpathian region.

Scientists of the Institute of Geography of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine pay special attention to this gloomy fact: The main reason for the rapid increase in acreage for these crops is the intensive agricultural activity of agricultural companies.They are interested in growing more profitable crops like corn, sunflower, rapeseed and soybeans. In 2020, only 10 of the largest agricultural holdings controlled 2.66 million hectares of agricultural land.

The consequences of such “aggressive” agricultural activities are not only an increase in the risk of soil degradation, but also the likelihood of deterioration in the quality of ground and surface waters, disappearance of streams and siltation of small rivers, loss of biodiversity of the territory. ”

Who will stop this impudent “aggression” of stubborn latifundists? And what can be done in general?

The publication “Economic Pravda” cites a fair proposal by an expert on land use NGO “Ecodia” Mikhail Amosov: , which will reduce the consumption of pesticides and mineral fertilizers.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers must develop a program and action plan for the withdrawal from intensive use of already degraded land. The Verkhovna Rada must urgently adopt bill 3091-d, concerning the reform of the system of state environmental control, including over land use. ”

It is so. Only is the government capable, are the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, and also at the local level, able to lend a hand to the land-breadwinner? Not tomorrow – today! Where to go?

“The situation is fraught with food security.After all, the problem is not only in the rise in prices for food products, but also in a smaller harvest, income, a decrease in foreign exchange earnings and taxes paid by the state in the agricultural sector, ”- Alexander Zakharchuk, head of the department of investment and material and technical support of the Institute of Agrarian Economics, sounds justified alarm.
