We set the standard for finding emails
Trusted by over 8. 1 million users and 95% of the S&P 500.
We had no where to begin. Scouring the web at all hours of the night wasn’t gonna cut it. RocketReach has given us a great place to start. Our workflow has solid direction now – we have a process in place the begins with RocketReach and ends with huge contact lists for our sales team..it probably saves Feedtrail about 3 months of work in terms of lead gathering. We can divert our attention to actually going after the customer now!
Great for building a list of leads. I loved the ability to determine personal emails from virtually anyone on the web with RocketReach. I was assigned a project recently that regarded public relations, partnership, and outreach responsibilities and RocketReach not only connected me to prospective individuals but allowed me to streamline my search approach on the basis of location, skill set, and keyword.

Prior to RocketReach, we would reach out to people through professional networking sites like Linkedln. But it was frustrating for us to have to wait for people to accept our connection requests (if they accepted them at all) and sending is too expensive..this was a major speed bump in our workflow and source of never ending frustration.. With the shear number of contacts we’ve been able to find using RocketReach, the platform has probably saved us nearly five years’ worth of waiting.
It’s the best, most effective email search engine I’ve used yet, and I’ve tried a few. Both in the scope of the searches, and in the number of accurate emails found, I find it surpasses others. I also like the layout, which is easy on the eye, more attractive and efficient. The bottom line is that it has been a effective tool in my work, as a non-profit reaching out to leadership.
Before RocketReach, the process of sourcing email addresses consisted of scouring the internet, asking mutual friends, or stalking on LinkedIn. The most frustrating part was how time consuming this all was.The first time I used RocketReach was when I realized I made the right decision. Finding emails for contacts turned into a one-and-done instead of a week long process.
Looking up emails for a targeted outreach was manual and enormously time consuming. When I tried RocketReach and to find business information about key people in seconds in an easy and seamless process, I was hooked! The tool reduced the time to connect with new prospects by close to 90%.

Let us remind those who have just joined us what an archetype is and who invented it all.
Archetype (from the ancient Greek “sample, primary source, original”) is one of the most significant concepts in psychology that Carl Jung introduced to describe images that convey the accumulated experience of generations.
Supporters of Jung’s teachings have finalized the concept of archetypes to 12 pieces: Simple-minded (Child), Sage (Thinker), Seeker, Rebel, Mage, Warrior (Hero), Lover, Jester, Nice guy (Own boyfriend), Guardian (Caring), Ruler, Creator.
Warrior (Hero) Archetype
Warrior (Hero) archetype Brands with the Warrior (Hero) archetype create ads that show their consumers as strong, strong-willed and independent people, ready for people challenges and trials. They position them as people capable of changing the world, ready to step out of their comfort zone for a new victory.
“You rule your future” is a fitting slogan for hero companies. Nike, Marlboro and BMW are perfect examples of a company whose brand is built around the hero archetype.
The disadvantage of the archetype is that the company can be too arrogant, which will scare off potential customers and users.
“Creator” on the example of Lego
Lego, Adobe and Crayola are prime examples of the Creator archetype.
Having opened the maximum number of opportunities for their customers, they themselves create creators among their customers, which they successfully use.
A typical client of these companies is a person who wants to create and create figures or images with his own hands, using the products of the companies. To create and create figures or images with his own hands, using the products of the companies.
“Ruler” and Mercedes
The “Ruler” archetype is a leader who is used to setting his own rules of the game.Usually he is driven by the idea of his exclusivity in conjunction with the need for society to recognize his special status.
Main desire: Control
Purpose: Creation of a successful, prosperous community (family, company, etc.)
Fear: Chaos and lack of control, the danger of being overthrown.
Strategy: Leadership, Coordination
Gift / Reward: Responsibility, Competent Management
Shadow: Tyranny, Authoritarianism, Voluntarism, Manipulation
The brand, which positions itself around the “Ruler” archetype, invites its audience to buy not just a product, but a symbol, status, attribute of power.Demonstrating it to others, no one dares to doubt the leadership qualities of its owner.
In every ad, a typical Mercedes-Benz driver is portrayed as an organized leader, able to manage everything in his life, and therefore he chooses only the best – a Mercedes car. The other side of the coin is that not every product can be positioned as a criterion for success or control own life.Applying this archetype to a brand or ad campaign can, in the worst case, have the opposite effect.
In the following publications I will tell you about other archetypes!
90,000 5 useful rules for marketers
A good marketer, first of all, needs to be a good salesperson! This is what distinguishes professional marketers from their armchair counterparts. In this post, I have collected 5 practical tips for acquiring useful skills from yourself and your subordinates.
These simple, but wildly effective and more than once tested in practice by your humble servant, habits, can make you a real professional who does not allow the mistakes of armchair marketers, about whom I am already tired of writing.
Why a marketer must have sales skills. First, salespeople know their customers best. They understand their fears, expectations, know what motivates them to buy.It is unlikely that anyone would argue that these skills are not the main qualities of a marketer.
Secondly, it is the sales people who are interested in attracting those customers who are ready to cooperate with you and buy your goods or services. That is, sellers, like no one else, are interested in the targeted traffic that the marketer organizes. Therefore, if the tactics of the marketing department and the sales department are the same, there will be a powerful synergy effect and your company will become mega-successful.
What are these simple principles that a true marketing professional should follow?
1. Meet your target audience personally.
When I launch a new product, I always send all the marketers to the retail outlets. And not just watch, but at least work as a seller in the trading floor for at least a day and personally communicate with buyers. This helps very well to tune the conceptual apparatus in order to better understand what your consumers really want.
When I needed to learn how the insurance market works, I took an insurance agent training course from an insurance market leader. And even sold several insurances. This is the only way to understand why a customer buys your product. And in order to better understand how a financial consultant works, he graduated from the Financial University at the Graduate School of Public Administration under the “Financial Consulting” program. Now, not only do I better understand the needs of consumers interested in financial services, but I also find it much easier to communicate with customers in the financial market.
2. Study your clients’ communication style.
Pay attention to what phrases and expressions your client uses and communicate with him in his language. Only on the basis of this knowledge, compose descriptions and write advertising texts. Do not use professional terms if you see that the client does not understand them.
3. Research the needs of your target audience.
Find out as much as possible about the product the customer is buying. Does everything about him suit him? What tasks does the client solve with it? Is there enough functionality? By asking the right questions and genuinely interested in your clients’ needs, you will get more information in 1 day than in a month of desk research.
4. Make a portrait of your client.
There are no identical clients. There are some traits that unite similar customers into buying groups. But even the traditional choice of two parameters from “quality-fast-inexpensive” gives you several options for consumer scenarios. If there are people among your buyers who always want to buy cheap (the hardest group), then pay attention to those who are ready to pay more for service or quality.
At the exit, you should have a clear portrait of a representative of your target audience: Petya, a 2nd year student, 19 years old, reads books, rides a bicycle, goes to clubs on weekends, loves coffee.Masha, an office manager, 26 years old, goes to a beauty salon twice a month, loves Murakami, listen to A-HA albums and is in love with Sergei.
For every typical consumer, you should have a photo to represent what he looks like (social networks will help you here). This information will be very helpful when you prepare promotional materials for the released product or when you start directly communicating with it.
5. Learn to listen to the client.
Remember what our parents told us as children? “Listen carefully!”This is the basic rule for selling goods. Convincing someone to buy is much more difficult than just talking to the client in the same language and words that they understand. In the first case, the outcome is likely to be “Great idea, but I don’t need it”, and in the second case, it’s probably like this: “Take the money, your product / service is exactly what I was looking for”. Here this rule worked the second rule – the ability to listen.
Hear what the customer is facing and offer specific solutions to their problems with your products.
6. Develop a selling mindset.
Very often I hear from neophyte marketers “I don’t like to sell.” With this approach, it will be much more difficult to succeed in our profession.
The process of purchasing a product consists of several sequential steps that each potential client goes through. At all stages of the sales funnel, they are aimed at assessing the quality and comparing the cost of the offered product / service with the value that he receives when buying it. And the final action is always to buy your product / service.Do not read a flyer, advertising article or post on the Internet, but vote for your product with your wallet. That is, to buy it. And you must understand what incentives he needs for this.
Therefore, if you do not have a sales mindset, then even a perfectly completed work by a team of brand managers and marketers can be overshadowed by a bad sales experience. So feel free to sell your products. Only sales will teach you to understand people and find a common language with your customers.
In conclusion, one very important thought.
Relationships with loyal customers are like old friendships. If your goal is to convert your customers into brand fans, then you need everything you need to make sure that you love and respect them.
Listen more, be kind, learn more about their life, be sincerely interested in their problems. And may you be happy!

90,000 Scenario of a thematic evening dedicated to the Internationalist Warriors Memorial Day “As long as we remember – we live”
Purpose of the event: education of citizenship and patriotism of student youth, formation of an active life position, preservation of memorable traditions, identification and support of talented youth.
The melody sounds: A. Rosenbaum’s song “Caravan”. Screenshots from the documentary “Afghanistan. The last soldier. ”
Presenter : Our today’s meeting is dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Soldiers-Internationalists, which is celebrated annually on February 15 by all republics in the post-Soviet space.
Presenter: On February 15, 1989, the withdrawal of Soviet troops from the territory of Afghanistan began. The operation was led by the last commander of the limited contingent, Lieutenant General Boris Gromov.Soviet troops have been on the territory of this country since December 25, 1979 and acted on the side of the government of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.
Host: Exactly 23 years separate us from that memorable day when the last Soviet soldier left the land of Afghanistan, where ordinary Soviet guys performed their international duty for 9 years and 51 days. This war in a country far from Belarus affected many of our compatriots, their families, relatives, friends and comrades.
Presenter: This very day became the Day of Remembrance not only for those who fought in Afghanistan, but also for all internationalist soldiers who participated in the settlement of military conflicts in the territories of near and far abroad.
Host: We called our themed evening “As long as we remember – we live”, which we dedicate to those old events that have already become history, but which we must remember.
Presenter: We are obliged to remember those of our contemporaries who passed the fiery miles of war in seemingly peaceful time, who live among us today, and those who are not.
Host: Belarus remembers and honors its sons who died in peacetime. And in memory of them, of those who are not with us today, who remained forever young, we will light our candles. (The presenters light candles).
Presenter: Today there are people among us who went through the Afghan war and became direct witnesses of those events. Let me tell you their names:
- Major of the reserve, teacher of the Department of Entomology and Chemical Plant Protection Sergey Stepanovich Bondarenko
- Lieutenant Colonel of the Reserve, employee of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Nikolai Alexandrovich Yezhov
- Lieutenant Colonel of the Reserve, employee of the administrative department of our university Sergey Mikhailovich Savitsky Savitsky

Presenter : Let’s remember the history of those old events. No one has the right to doubt that in December 1979, thousands of our compatriots, dressed in soldier’s jackets, rushed in their pure thoughts and aspirations to help the Afghan people to fulfill their military duty.
Presenter : And it is not the fault of our people that Afghanistan in those years became a testing ground for big world politics, and international assistance turned into a brutal war.
Presenter : Time is relentlessly counting down seconds, hours, years and decades. Already 23 years have passed since the day when our soldiers, returning home, marched across the famous bridge across the Amu Darya, separating the former USSR and Afghanistan.
Presenter: Ordinary guys who came from all the former Soviet republics for military service, maybe they did not even suspect that they would become eyewitnesses and participants of that war.
Background music: A.Vivaldi “The Seasons. Winter “
Host: From the recollection of a participant in the Afghan events, Vladimir Grigoriev, our fellow countryman:
” There, in Afghanistan, we not only fought honestly, fulfilling our international duty, but also simply tried to survive. When death was hovering around, we firmly believed that we defended the Afghan people, stood guard over our borders, knowing that the Motherland could not give an order, for which it will later condemn us. ”
Reader 1: We did not yearn for the stars …
We did not seek claims for power
And how to live on Afghan soil,
No one gave us any instructions …
And for the light, quiet sadness
And for the sorrow that comes from the flame.
Forgive us, Belaya Rus,
We are clean before our people …
Host: Twenty years in ordinary human life is a long time. But a life of only twenty years is tragically short. What is left of this life? What remains after a person who has lived on earth for only 20 years?
The same young and young as we, today’s participants of our event, did not live to see love, did not finish their studies, did not fulfill their dreams – they returned to their homeland with the load of “200”, but having managed to become soldiers with a capital letter, who left in the hearts of people a bright, grateful memory of themselves.
Background music: A. Vivaldi “The Seasons. Winter”
Reader 1:
Not for songs, not for glory
You have stepped on smoky grasses.
The guys knew: the task is difficult,
They knew that it was impossible otherwise.
Only the guys believed firmly –
They will carry the honor of a soldier proudly.
Not for songs, not for fame
You fell on bitter herbs.
As if a tight thread broke:
The flock of the crane will tremble,
And the heart gets cramped –
You guys will stay in the songs!
Host (behind the scenes) : Dedicated to our fellow countrymen.
1. The song “Who needs you, except your homeland” (from the repertoire of A. Marshal) is performed by the soloist of the pop vocal studio Artyom Avtsinov
Host : Today is the day on which we are not just paying tribute to the memory of the soldiers who have passed the difficult roads of Afghanistan. And just today it is worth saying about people with a high sense of civic duty, soldier’s
courage, faithful to the military oath.
Giving the floor to a participant in the Afghan events.
2. The song “Throw into Heaven” (from A. Khvorstyan’s repertoire) is performed by the pop vocal studio soloist A. Novitsky
Presenter : As part of a huge socialist state, the Belarusian land suffered huge losses in that war. About 800 soldiers, sergeants and officers drafted into the ranks of the armed forces died in the Afghan mountains, 12 of our fellow countrymen went missing, 718 returned disabled, more than one and a half thousand were injured. Today in Belarus there are about 24 thousand soldiers-internationalists, but ten years ago there were 8 thousand more.
Host : The Belarusian people sacredly honor their heroes and participants in military events. In 2009, a commemorative medal was established in our republic, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. It was awarded to all combatants, or family members of military personnel who died in Afghanistan.
Presenter : Almost in every settlement of our republic there are streets, educational institutions where children studied, military units named after internationalist soldiers, their names are immortalized on obelisks and monuments. There are such places in our city. We would ask Sergei Stepanovich Bondarenko to tell about one of them – major in reserve, teacher of the Department of Entomology and Chemical Plant Protection
3. The song “Let’s Pray for Parents” (from S. Pavliashvili’s repertoire) is played. vocal quartet
On the screen frames from the feature film “Stormy Gates”, director A. Malyukov
Host : difficult moments, in turn, everyone remembered about their home, about their mothers and relatives, trying in their short and infrequent letters to reassure and instill hope that everything will be fine.
Reader 1: Hello, dear mother,
I am sending you greetings.
The most gentle, heartfelt,
There are no words in the world.
Do you miss your son?
Mom, dry your tears,
I’ll come home, I’ll come
And I will hug you …
Music background: A. Vivaldi “Seasons. Winter”
Reader 2: But, in February, memory will sound the alarm.
The ringing of the memorial will cut with a knife.
And we will go to the children’s cemetery.
We will lay down flowers and light a candle.
And let us stand in silence, furrowing our eyebrows.
Let us support the mother, bowed without strength
And it seems to us that drops of blood are reddening at the graves instead of carnations …
Mother will not stop crying for her son,
Afghanistan has taken away
At the monument to those who fell in a foreign land,
She will shed many more tears.
Will come here, put a bouquet of flowers,
On smooth polished granite.
And so it costs a long time, and, perhaps,
Again talking about something with his son.
Presenter : There is no statute of limitations for all mothers who have lost their children, who performed their military duty. They waited and are waiting for their sons … And not only from that Afghan war, but from all hot spots of the planet.
Presenter: Among us, today, there is one of the women, she is a mother who courageously endured a personal tragedy, the death of her son, and not being left alone with her grief, but rallying around herself the same women as herself in our area, today is actively engaged in social activities. Since 1999, she has headed the Regional Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers. Stalina Georgievna, please tell us about the activities of the committee, what tasks does it solve today?

The memory of those events is immortalized not only in obelisks and monuments, but it lives in our hearts and in such annual meetings of young people with veterans.
Presenter: From the memoirs of Vladimir Grigoriev (reads out):
“I can never forget the incandescent heat of the Afghan sun, unbearable thirst and the last sip of warm water … grenade launcher aimed at close range.A hail of shrapnel in armor, while clearing minefields, the stuffiness of a hospital bed and a home that I dreamed of every night … I will not forget the guys who stayed there. We are all in debt to them ”
5. Literary performance“ Swans ”isp. participants of the theatrical studio “Baika”
Host: Every year, on this memorable day, those who went through this war gather. Memorable rallies are held in the capital of our republic – on the island of Courage and Sorrow, at memorials and monuments in every regional center.Participants of the events remember those who died in that war, pay tribute to the living and the families of internationalist soldiers.
Presenter: In our city, in a quiet park along Kurchatov Street, there is a monument to soldiers-internationalists. And having climbed a little higher along Kurchatov Street, you will see the temple under construction. It is built in memory of the soldiers who died doing their duty.
Host: And today we bow our heads before the memory of the fallen. This day for us is a symbol of courage, greatness and fortitude of the generation born after the Great Patriotic War
oath.
SLIDES
Reader 1: A minute of silence is a lot or a little
For those who are no longer around?
For those whose fate ended so abruptly …
A minute of silence.
Reader 2: Listen, people,
Please, hush!
The war has died out in the distance.
A minute of silence,
The dead boys
The country is reading this minute.
Reader 2: They don’t need much,
Only memory and loyalty
Yes, a bunch of flowers in the summer.
The useless steel
Benefits and glory to them.
And the stone shine of the orders.
Reader 1: Let them become granite
Their bright souls.
What does cold granite hide?
A minute of silence,
Like a white bird,
Flies over the quiet world.
Reader 1 : So stand up, people,
They deserve to be remembered sometimes
Let us honor them, One minute of silence!
Presenter : As a tribute of respect and reverence to the soldiers-internationalists, to those who died, to those who returned, but did not live to this day, let our Minute of Silence become a Minute of Memory for all of them.
The sound of the metronome
Presenter: Someday time will righteously judge and evaluate those ambiguous events and put everything in its place. But, our concern and goal is different – not to forget about the soldier, his loyalty to the military oath, honor and courage, the ability not to flinch in the most difficult situations, to prove himself as the successor of the glorious military traditions of our fathers and grandfathers.
Host: Every war is a tragedy for the people as a whole. And we must learn a lesson from it, we must remember how much the war in Afghanistan cost us.
Presenter: Today, the mass media often mentions the war declared by terrorists to all people of goodwill, regardless of nationality and religion. And each of us needs to take responsibility for fulfilling our civic duty.
Presenter : The memory of those who went through the roads of war, and who did not return to their home, for whom conscience, duty, fatherland, honor were the main things in life, let a particle of pride for them remain in our hearts.

Viktor Cherkesov – about the “war of groups” within the special services
Last week there was a detention, followed by the arrest of senior officials of the Federal Drug Control Service (see.Kommersant from 4, 5 and 6 October). An assessment of these events, the public resonance they caused and the possible consequences – not only for his department, but also for all Russian special services – is given by the head of the Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation Viktor Cherkesov.
The acute events that have unfolded now around a number of employees of the Federal Drug Control Service cannot and should not leave me indifferent. But to a much greater extent worried about something else – the scale and type of discussion of what is happening.Too many responses. They are too disturbing. And confirms my worst fears. It is not the responses themselves, or the acuteness and activity of the discussion that are of concern. On the contrary, we are grateful to everyone who responded so warmly to what is happening. The emergence of a new and painful topic is alarming. Themes of civil strife among the special services.
Events around the Federal Drug Control Service will eventually get into some kind of rut. Personally, I am convinced that law and justice will prevail, and the guilty will be punished. But the raised topic of civil strife will no longer be removed from the agenda. This means that you need to react to it immediately. Now, in hot pursuit. Because, left unattended, it will become a virus that destroys public consciousness. That’s why I start with the main topic. And I will consider private stories as it should be. How particular.
“We are the children of the terrible years of Russia,” said the great Russian poet. Any generation is a child of its time. Our time has recently ceased to be confused. Now you need to cleanse it of the dregs. But this is extremely difficult.
If any of the drug control officers succumbed to the specific temptations of the criminal environment, they should be punished. Even more severe than an ordinary rogue official. The drug mafia manages trillions of dollars and controls thousands of professional killers. The FSKN has united in its ranks those who are ready to fight a truly global “dark empire.” Uncleanliness is absolutely unacceptable in our ranks. I have never bothered about the falsely understood honor of the uniform. And least of all I intend to do this now, when the fight against corruption is turning into the highest human priority for everyone who is not indifferent to the fate of Russia.
Everyone who can help the drug control authorities to find and cleanse themselves from “werewolves in uniform” will find an active and reliable ally in me. But anyone who tries to turn the noble cause of fighting corruption into a muddy and ambiguous squabble will receive a categorical rebuff. And not only because the duty of any leader is to punish the guilty and protect the slandered. But also because it is impossible to fight international and domestic criminal structures in conditions where the fighters do not feel protected. From everything! Including from the practice when “dirty” drug proceeds are used against them in the so-called order. There have already been such cases.
Traitors caught in corruption know that we are not acting according to the famous principle of “son of a bitch, but our son of a bitch.” But honest people, our comrades in arms who are in trouble, must be sure that we will defend them to the end. The spirit of the army at war is more important than anything else. If such protection is not provided, the spirit will be undermined. And thus the war is lost. Maybe someone needs it?
We are ready for the war on corruption. We are fighting the drug business. And we are against another “war”. The one that has already been loudly mentioned throughout the country in connection with the excesses around the Federal Drug Control Service. And they, these excesses, are really not devoid of strangeness.
The war, which too many people are now talking about with confusion and anxiety, is civil strife within the so-called KGB community.
Without claiming the laurels of the discoverer of this unfortunate topic, I would nevertheless remind you that I was the first to discuss it three years ago.The article was titled “Fashion for the KGB?” (published in the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda on December 29, 2004. – Kommersant ) I proceeded from the assumption that any painful problem should be discussed. That in such matters there is nothing worse than silence. That pus will still accumulate. And it is better to immediately open the abscess than to wait until the gangrene begins.
At that time, the conflict between “liberals” and “chekists” was discussed. The “Chekists” were charged with a certain reactionary conservatism, a desire to restore Stalinism and the omnipotence of “organs”.The truth about the real situation disappeared from the discussion, and I tried to figure out what exactly this “Chekism” is. The essence of my assessments was as follows.
The country experienced a full-scale disaster in the early 90s. It is known that after a catastrophe, the system sooner or later begins to reassemble around those parts of it that have managed to preserve certain systemic properties.
It is in this sense that “KGBism” can be taken into consideration. The loose, heterogeneous, internally contradictory and far from unambiguous community of people who chose the protection of state security as their profession in the Soviet era turned out to be the most consolidated in social terms.Or, more precisely, the least loose. In order for it to be compacted, all catastrophic impacts were needed. Someone quickly dropped out, left the professional community. Someone has betrayed. Someone quickly “got sick”. But some part of the community still survived.
I will not discuss again what this part is and why it survived. Least of all intends to idealize what happened. What happened happened. Recovering from a near-fatal blow has nothing to do with romance.
Falling into the abyss, the post-Soviet society clung to this very “KGB” hook. And hung on it. And someone wanted it to hit the bottom and smash to smithereens. And those who were waiting for this were terribly offended. And they began to be indignant, speaking about the nasty properties of the “Chekist” hook, on which the society rested.
Certainly, I do not think that the criticism of “KGB vices” was absolutely groundless. First, only the angels are blameless. Secondly, the real laws of our profession generate numerous costs.Only children of primary and secondary school age can recklessly sing such a craft. Third, a catastrophe – it is a catastrophe.
Yet we helped in the end to keep the country from collapsing completely. This is one of the meanings of the Putin era, this is the historical merit of the President of Russia. And this imposes a huge responsibility on our professional community that has nothing to do with arrogant complacency.
We did not form the social corporatism that survived the collapse of the country. It spontaneously took shape in the depths of the collapse itself and the chaos it caused. And she created a kind of minimal order out of chaos.
It arose – what next?
I think there are three scenarios here.
The first and most favorable one: overcoming corporatism, climbing up, transforming into a normal civil society. The sooner a full-fledged civil society is formed in Russia, the better it will be for everyone. Including for my colleagues in the profession. You cannot – stupidly and hopelessly – cling to corporate acquisitions. It’s funny, after all that has happened, to get into a pose and talk about yourself as “the salt of the earth”, about the “elite of the elite.” Personally, I will never exchange my rights as a citizen for some kind of “elite preferences”. And I know for sure – I’m not alone.
The second, no longer the best, but “compatible with life” scenario is, probably, to complete the construction of the corporation and to provide with its help long-term stability and a gradual way out of a deep socio-cultural depression.
Clearly understand that there are huge risks in this scenario. Including the danger of turning a great country into a swamp of the worst Latin American dictatorships with their social isolation and neo-feudalism. But this is not predetermined. In addition to being negative, corporatism can also be positive.
The third scenario, incompatible with life, is to repeat all the catastrophic mistakes that led to the collapse of the USSR. To start recklessly criticizing the “Chekist” hook and, as a result, breaking it, to bring society down into a new socio-political crisis.
I am aware of how many-sided the forces are for which this scenario seems good.
These are our enemies who just need us, as a country, to disappear from the world map. And as a people, they fell out of history.
These are also some kind of systemic competitors who hope that, having brought down the Russian system once again, they will gain control over it and get the ensuing economic and other opportunities.
These are moral people who consider themselves entitled to criticize the present in the same way as they once criticized the past.Such people honestly and passionately point out certain imperfections in the system. Unfortunately, once again forgetting that these imperfections largely grew out of their criticism of the previous system.
Having negotiated three scenarios, I focused on the second as needed. Not because he is the best. But because the worst is too unacceptable. A closed society is always worse than an open one. And everyone who tries to present these thoughts of mine as propaganda of a closed society, believe me, is deeply mistaken. But even within closed societies there is a certain gradation. They may be relatively healthy and capable of gaining the potential to move into openness. And they can be sources of systemic self-destruction. Or, at the very least, social and political mutation.
In order for any corporation (including the KGB) to be healthy, it must be a bearer of norms. It is desirable that these norms are not only internal, but also national. But first of all, they should be norms. If norms disappear and arbitrariness ensues, the corporation collapses. Experts and journalists are already talking about a “war of groups” within the special services.
There can be no winners in this war. Such a war of “all against all” will end with the complete disintegration of the corporation. The hook will decay, finally collapse from internal rust. The entire social structure will begin to disintegrate. Someone will say: “We saved the country from Chekism!” In fact, the country will not be saved, but destroyed.
By publishing my article then, I wanted my opinion to attract public attention. But, of course, I also turned to the corporation that I have been a part of for many years. To my professional class, to my comrades and colleagues. Someone later quipped: “To the KGB caste.” In essence, I disagree, but I will note that even a caste is not lawlessness. These are their own norms and rules. The caste is destroyed from within when the warriors begin to become traders.
Whoever the Chekists want to be – a force that brings the country to new open horizons, or a system that provides some kind of social stabilization through closedness, we must preserve the norms in our environment. And those who find that his true calling is business must go to a different environment. Don’t try to be both a merchant and a warrior at the same time. It doesn’t work that way. There is either, or. You cannot call for overcoming this very war of “all against all” and at the same time be a participant in it.
And then it happened … The excesses with the arrests of drug control officers caused a flurry of publications and responses, in which only one thing is discussed – this very “war”, its development and connection with the general political process.Suspicion is very strong in our current society. But I hope she hasn’t turned manic yet. And this mass of competent and independent publications will not be interpreted as the intrigues of the Federal Drug Control Service. Anyone who does not believe in our ethical constraints, let him at least soberly assess our capabilities.
No, it’s not about us. We behave with the utmost restraint. We will understand the essence of what is happening. And separate the wheat from the chaff. Traitors who dishonor us from our slandered comrades. The truth from slander. So far, the picture of the latest dramatic events seems extremely ambiguous.
There are many questions.
Why is one of the arrested FSKN officers charged with committing a crime ex officio during a period when he not only did not hold this position, but did not exist in the nature of the department for which this position was established?
Doesn’t it look contradictory if the statement about the suspect’s intention to hide from the investigation and the court abroad and a detailed description of his telephone conversation with his wife at the moment when their Moscow apartment was already being searched, and he was still far abroad with a passport in hand?
How else, if not an attempt to discredit the evidence collected in the Three Whales case, explain the fact of the search in the apartment of the investigator, whose only official occupation in the past few years was participation in the work of the brigade of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia under the leadership of V.Loskutov?
For what purpose are “black marks” sent through the state news agency and the Internet with promises of new arrests of FSKN employees and even their surnames are called? Let us leave aside the questions of morality, let us ponder the absurdity of the professionally inexplicable premature “leak” of plans to detain potentially dangerous criminals.
Why are the arrested drug control officers grouped among those who legally, on instructions from the General Prosecutor’s Office, participated in the investigation of high-profile criminal cases about the so-called “Three Whales” and “Chinese” smuggling? Are they guilty of investigating, that is, doing their duty? And when the need for new investigations arises, what will the new performers have to do? Fighting crime or pulling the rubber, realizing what an adequate performance of their official duties can turn out to be for them?
For me personally, having 15 years of experience in investigative work, there is another difficult question about what is happening. If a country really needs an independent committee of inquiry, then that committee of inquiry can only be successful under three basic conditions.
First, independence.
Second, independence.
And thirdly, independence.
Alas, the October events revealed quite the opposite. And I would say with excessive ruthlessness.
That, perhaps, is all about those particulars to which public attention is drawn. To be honest, I would like to switch it to something else. As for the current events, I am sure everything will work out. The main thing is that there is no tilt, in which the line on cleansing from corruption will turn into a bustle of inter-clan conflicts. Because the fight against corruption is not a campaign or pre-election PR. The fate of the Russian state largely depends on its outcome.
But to no lesser extent, this future determines the state of affairs within our corporate environment today. Scandal and fights must not be allowed. You cannot turn norms into arbitrariness. Warriors should not be allowed to become traders. As a member of a corporation, it is dear to me as such. I think that everyone who really devoted himself to such a profession.
Having become fixated on ourselves and abandoning the rules, our community will not just fall apart, but change its social nature. After that, it will be difficult to explain to people why they need to obey and respect those who do not comply with the norms and are immersed in civil strife.
Today, our corporation is not important in itself. It must withstand and withstand the stresses of the transition period. Then it can turn into a locomotive and bring society to a new quality. And after that – to move from a corporation to a normal professional group, which, in essence, is no different from others.
While the stability of society is largely based on this force, the question of its quality is a question of the fate of the country. The price of the issue is thus too high. And therefore, neither hushing up the problem, nor turning it into a big squabble is absolutely unacceptable.Such a process within the Soviet nomenklatura has already turned into a social and geopolitical catastrophe.

Who and why should practice aikido – the martial art of peaceful warriors
What is aikido
This is a martial art , created at the beginning of the 20th century by Morihei Ueshiba.
The philosophy of aikido includes the desire for peace and unity, therefore all techniques are aimed primarily at protecting against attack.
Aikido is multifaceted. It is difficult to name one single main idea. Many will say that this is the use of the enemy’s strength against himself. I will say that this is being in harmony with yourself and the world around you. If someone tries to break this harmony, then it should be restored as soon as possible.
Initially, there was no competition in aikido. After the death of Morihei Ueshiba, the martial art was divided into several directions, and in some, including those laid down by the direct students of the founder, tournaments began to be held.
But in any direction – with or without competition – the student (aikidoka) periodically passes the certification.
The attestation commission checks the skills: they name the attack and technique and watch how this or that handing over does it all. The higher the declared degree, the more powerful the attacks, the more techniques and the higher their difficulty. Up to protection from four armed attackers in the fourth dan exam.
Why it is worth practicing aikido
There are at least five reasons to choose this kind of martial art for yourself or your child.
1. Teaches effective self-defense
Aikido techniques are great for self-defense in real life. They help to deal with a stronger opponent or multiple attackers and do it in no time.
Aikido techniques include strikes, throws and painful holds. At the same time, they are aimed, as a rule, at the most vulnerable parts of the body: eyes, fingers, wrists, groin. The combination of techniques allows you to feel confident in almost any situation.
In aikidoka classes, he learns to shift his center of gravity during an attack in such a way as to neutralize the enemy without much physical effort.
There are many smooth circular movements in this type of martial arts that allow you to redirect the force of the attack – to use the inertia of the opponent’s blow to unbalance him and force him to stop fighting.
However, aikido does not consist only of smooth movements: techniques include both sharp strikes and elements with the use of force.Ivan Egorov claims that everything depends on the situation – you learn to apply what will be most effective.
2. Helps to better control oneself
In aikido, there is a strong desire for inner harmony, and even in those areas where open fights and tournaments are held, anger is not used as a motivation.
Aikido classes do not increase aggressiveness and do not reduce self-control in conflict situations.
On the contrary, training helps to behave more calmly, teaches to reckon with other people’s interests and not to stick out your own “I”.
This characteristic of aikido is good for children. Younger students have less than 90,606 behavioral and physical aggression problems than taiboxers and kickboxers of their age.
3. Improves balance, coordination and mobility
In aikido, a lot of attention is paid to a stable body position. Aikidoka must learn to feel his center of gravity and position his arms, legs and hips in such a way as to maintain balance and move freely.
In the classroom, they also teach how to fall correctly so as not to be injured during the execution of throws.
By practicing strikes, grips and throws, aikido also pumps the mobility of the upper limbs and coordination, teaches precise verified movements and increases the speed of reaction.
All these skills reduce the risk of injury in everyday life – you will be able to maintain balance by slipping on a wet floor or ice, and if you do fall, you will do it so that there is no emergency room.
4. Increases concentration and awareness
Due to the need to perform clear movements and track the position of the body, aikido pumps the ability to concentrate on tasks.
Regular practice also increases awareness – the ability to be in the present moment without leaving your thoughts. And the more experienced aikidoka, the more vividly this effect is manifested.
Mindfulness, in turn, is the key to psychological well-being and comfort , the ability to control your emotions and behavior well.
5. Suitable for all ages and skill levels
Aikido does not include heavy cardio or strength training – half of the workout takes place at a low heart rate , and the intensity of the lesson depends on the level of the student.
Due to its mild effect on the body, aikido is perfect for people of any age: it helps to gain the necessary norm of physical activity for health, improves motor and cognitive efficiency in the elderly and contributes to the formation of good posture in children.
Who should not practice aikido
Despite the mild effect on the body, there are a number of violations in which it is contraindicated to practice this type of martial arts.
Ivan Egorov warns that before attending classes you should consult a doctor if you have the following conditions:
- acute and chronic diseases in the acute stage;
- pathology of physical development;
- neuropsychiatric diseases, traumas of the central and peripheral nervous system;
- diseases of internal organs;
- surgical diseases;
- traumas and diseases of the ENT organs;
- skin and venereal diseases;
- infectious diseases;
- tuberculosis;
- HIV.
If you have any of the above, get your doctor’s permission before signing up for your first lesson and tell the coach about your condition.
How to choose the direction of aikido
Aikido has quite a few branches, which differ in the severity of fighting, techniques and the presence of competition. If there are several schools in your city, be guided by your goals.
Classical Aikido
If you want to practice classical aikido, choose the Aikikai direction. This school was created by the son of the founder of aikido, Kisshomaru Ueshiba, who adapted of his father’s techniques, creating a clear teaching system for different levels of training.
Aikikai does not include competitions, only workshops with experienced masters.
Tough Techniques for Effective Defense
If effective fighting techniques are a priority, choose Yoshinkan Aikido, Ten Shin Aikido or Real Aikido.
Yoshinkan Aikido was founded by Morihei Ueshiba’s student Gozo Shiodo and was used to train police and military personnel in Japan. It includes self-defense techniques and many rigorous counting movements.
Teng Shin Aikido was founded by Steven Seagal, an actor and martial artist. This form is based on the pre-war harsh aikido techniques, and the emphasis is on the effectiveness of techniques in real life, for example, for self-defense against attacks on the streets.
Ivan Egorov shows aikido techniques Ten Shin
Real aikido was created by the Serbian martial arts master Lubomir Vracarevich. In this style, there is less philosophy, more physical activity and attention to protection in a domestic environment, both from unarmed opponents and from those armed with a knife or pistol.
Competition
If this aspect is important to you, choose Tomiki Aikido, Universal Aikido or Real Aikido.
Tomiki Aikido founded by Kenji Tomiki, a student of Morihei Ueshiba and a judo master. This style was taught in Japanese universities and was complemented by competitions to keep young people motivated.
Universal Aikido was created in Russia to allow aikido from different schools to test their skills in competitions.
Soft techniques and exercises
If you want to develop your body without unnecessary stress, try Ki-Aikido.This school was founded by Koichi Tohei, one of the founder’s best students. In addition to specific techniques, this area also includes philosophy and spiritual development.
Ivan Egorov draws attention to the fact that in Ki-Aikido they work in a soft manner and often do not use direct contact with the enemy.
What you need for aikido training
For training you do not need to buy special equipment or equipment for protection.
According to Ivan Egorov, you can come to the first training session in comfortable clothes – sweatpants and a T-shirt.It is also advisable to take slippers.
Over time, you will need to acquire a white aikido keikogi (kimono) and a white belt. No shoes are needed – aikidoki practice barefoot.
How are the aikido classes
The session begins with warm-ups for all muscle groups and stretching to warm up and prepare the body for the load.
After the warm-up, there is acrobatics with a lot of falls, practice of strikes, basic elements and techniques, as well as general physical fitness.
To practice aikidoka techniques, they are divided into pairs. The mentor shows the technique, after which the students try to repeat it, periodically changing the roles of the attacker and the defender.
Typically, a workout takes 60–90 minutes.
