Covert Super Dolomite Intermediate Stick
For those who don’t know, the QRL was designed to provide an enhanced shooting performance with a super low-kick quick release, lighter overall weight, and a balanced feel to maximize velocity and improve accuracy. Take this and wrap it up in the classic but updated Dolomite graphic and you have one killer stick!
Getting into the construction of the Super Dolomite, Warrior used its well-known True 1 construction which makes the Super Dolomite a seamless one-piece hockey stick from top to bottom. But it is what they made it out of that is perhaps the most significant change to this Covert line. The Super Dolomite introduces Minimus 1000 carbon fibre; a high strength and lightweight aerospace grade carbon fibre complete with a new flat-tow 2-D weave design. This high modulus carbon is woven into a visible 12K weave throughout the entire stick and is not only extremely lightweight but helps enhance the Super Dolomite’s other construction technologies by maximizing the True 1’s balance and feel and helping to make the Dagger Taper III more responsive. Even more impressive is the 40% increase in strength to limit slash damage in high traffic areas as compared to its predecessor the QR1. Warrior’s tests also show that it is 20% stiffer for a more positive feel and a quicker response as well as 10% lighter for that much better balance.
The Super Dolomite will feature Dagger Taper III, the next generation of Dagger Taper technology. Warrior made the top side of the taper thinner to promote more flex while making the bottom portion a little wider to prevent any torque of the blade, and this new taper makes the Super Dolomite have a super low kick point with easy to load lightning quick release shots. For handling, the Covert line uses traditional shaft geometry with rounded corners and straight sidewalls. This senior model features Warrior’s Pro CorTex grip, an excellent textured tacky soft grip that locks your hands in place for optimum hand control while stick handling and shooting if you don’t like grip, the Super Dolomite is offered in a bright non-grip finish as well.
This Super Dolomite stick was made for players to take their game to elite levels. With new superior materials and technologies, Warrior was able to produce a stick with a lightning quick release for the simple reason of helping you score more goals without any issues. Luckily, a pair of properly fitting Hockey Pants will assist in keeping you well protected! Additionally, like most hockey gear, players will different styles to choose from. On the contrary, Ice Hockey Girdles and shells are more lightweight and flexible than traditional pants, but usually feature less protection.
When fitting Hockey Pants, the general rule of thumb is that you want them to be snug, but comfortable while at the waist level. This will ensure that they do not slide down during gameplay. While standing with Hockey Pants on, they will usually rest one or two inches above the kneecap of your shin guards. If you are trying on Hockey Pants, try moving around in them, or do a few brief exercises in them, to get a general idea of how they will feel while out on the ice.
Finding the right fit for Hockey Pants is important for two reasons. If Hockey Pants are too big, they can hinder mobility due to irregular contact with your shin guards, and because they are too baggy. If Hockey Pants are too small, there is the issue of the top of your knee being left unprotected. Ice Hockey Pants are one of the most important pieces of equipment a hockey player can have!

90,000 Guided Tour of the Messner Museum or Dancing of the Gods
Mountain Messner Museum – Reinhold Messner mountaineering museum in Bolzano. If Messner’s name doesn’t tell you anything, don’t read further.
The legend of world mountaineering, a man who changed the idea of human capabilities.
Mountaineering is not a sport and the Messner Mountaineering Museum does not have the equipment you would expect to see in the Mountaineering Museum. There are no verbose descriptions of “conquered” peaks. There is nothing here about how to climb the peaks. Here you understand better – why?
The path to the entrance goes under the walls of the castle. Powerful outcrops of brown granite rocks are crossed by two intertwined steel rails. One is painted red, the other white, it is a symbol of a double rope going up. At the entrance, a bronze lion and a lioness, powerful and furious, they guard the entrance. Steel rails intent and bronze warning of lions. If you dare – come in.
Peace and tranquility in the smile of the bronze Badhisattva, who freely and calmly lay down on the lawn, the good god Ganesh with the head of an elephant. Their statues on the green hill in front of the prayer drum tower are inviting.
Take a piece of rope, spin the drum, walk in a circle. Figures of sages in the niches of the stone walls follow you with glances.
Are you going up, in snow and ice, where no one else has been? Pray, ask for blessings, choose the right path. Om mani padme hum … All the wisdom and beauty of the world in the lotus flower … Free yourself from the fear and vanity that fear generates. … The quiet copper hum of a gong floats from above. Ommmmmmmm … Later, in the Himalayas, I was greeted by the same hum of a gong in Tiangboche monastery and prayer drums on the way to Everest. The path laid by the first climbers. Everest, became their destiny as Melville’s White Whale.
The straight structures of the steel galleries are covered with rust, they have white inscriptions about something unclear: “Much is hidden, let’s go, let’s open it …”.Walking through the Museum like a mysterious quest with mystical clues. I go further, reflecting on the seeming irrationality of all these mountain climbing and the inexplicable motivation of mountain climbers – “… and there is nothing there, no gold, no ores, there is only something that the ridge is too steep …”.
High mountains. It is very beautiful there, there all the seasons are in one place, but it can also be difficult and scary there . ..
Up the steps of the tower, past pictures of familiar Dolomite peaks, portraits of the first climbers of South Tyrol, guides. The most beautiful verticals, desperate Italian guys: Dibona, Comici, Zigmondi … We did not dare to follow the Comici route on the Cima Grande, we went down the Dibona, and the Sigmoni fireplace on the Cima Piccolo did not seem too complicated, but, nevertheless, they were the first, before them no one dared to storm. They did not have modern equipment, they did not know what awaited them upstairs, but they made up their minds anyway.
The exposition contains nothing about Messner’s first solo ascent of Everest from the north, almost nothing about the Italians’ triumph on K2, only an old photo of Lino Lacedelli on Marmolada.Mountains do not like conquerors – triumphants.
Hillary and Tenzing were the first to climb Mount Everest, but memory reverts to Mallory’s words: “The spirit of adventure must never die. And if you have to pay with your life to save him, so what? It would be a sacrifice in the name of a good cause. ” He walked to his top, carrying in his breast pocket only the flag of Britain and a photograph of his wife to leave them on the summit of Mount Everest … He was found in 99 at 8230, the photo of his wife was not with him. Castaneda was not a climber, but he managed to understand something right.People are divided into ordinary people and warriors. An ordinary person accepts everything in his life as happiness or unhappiness, and only a warrior as a challenge.
From here through a long open gallery to the next tower. In the niches of the gallery along the way, bronze figures of dancing gods. White inscriptions on the metal “Gods dance on the peaks of the Himalayas, life in the movement of clouds and wind …”.
Incongruous scraps of mystical inscriptions are spinning in my head, like parts of the key to unraveling some Mystery that fills this place. There is a door at the end of the gallery.
Having crossed the threshold, I suddenly find myself in a cramped, gloomy room. In the middle, under the glass, is an old worn high-altitude vibram. Black and white photographs of dead climbers hang tightly on the walls. Bob Dylan’s song sounds softly with a guitar: “.. How many roads must a man walk down, before you call him a man? …” Names and faces familiar to me from books from my youth. All here. Participants in the great assault on the highest peaks. Who died in an avalanche, who fell on ice or on rocks, who died from incredible loads at altitude.Their striving for the beyond has not yet been comprehended by humanity. Their death along the way – why is it? Why do you need to go to the mountains? “… .The answer my friend in blow of the wind, the answer in blow of the wind…” – the song is spinning.
I am here bitter and sad, I feel like a man on the sidelines, who did not have time somewhere, something great passed by. There were peaks in my mountaineering, and adventures on the edge, but something did not happen in it.
I go down to the open terrace. The huge, scary demon mask grins at me.She’s like a challenge. Hey, what has become like a pillar ?! The gods dance on the tops of the mountains, and you can be among them. You just need to get ready.

NOV-AGRO / UD R Dolomite (lime) flour 20 kg ON 1/1
432 p.
Dolomite flour is one of the most popular natural fertilizers. She is very respected by summer residents, who sometimes use it exclusively on their plots. This fertilizer is used both as a soil deoxidizer and as a complete fertilizer containing trace elements, as well as a substance capable of fighting a number of weeds (in the form of mulch), and even some types of insects (for example, the Colorado potato beetle).
Dolomite flour is most often used precisely because of its property of deoxidizing the soil, therefore flour is usually applied to soils characterized by high acidity, which are simply unsuitable for growing most crops.
Thanks to the introduction of dolomite flour, the growth and development of plants is improved, and many fertilizers that are bound and inaccessible to plants in acidic soil become quite accessible to them, that is, the nutritional value of the once acidic soil increases.
Directly in the composition of dolomite flour, the main components are magnesium and calcium. When applied to the soil, magnesium has a beneficial effect on the photosynthetic processes of plants, and calcium stimulates the growth and development of the root system.
Dolomite flour is excellent for such vegetable crops as beets, potatoes, onions and carrots, thanks to its introduction, forage grasses and even berry bushes and trees, especially stone fruits, grow better.
Dolomite flour can be used both for enrichment of open and protected soil, and it is often used by lovers of indoor plants. Usually, in addition to acidic soils, dolomite flour is used on sandy loams and sandstones, soils with a magnesium deficiency.
This fertilizer can be applied at the beginning of the season, both before planting, and simultaneously with them, and at the very end, until November.
It is good to sprinkle dolomite flour directly on the soil surface, as soon as you harvest the crop, such a simple agronomic technique will not harm cultivated plants at all in the future, but will allow the soil to restore its strength in some way.
90,000 Mountains: love and ride | CJSC “MPO Elektromontazh”
Anastasia Malyutina, head of the group of the sales information support department, loves to ski. That is, to move down the mountains at high, high speed along a winding trajectory, which is formed by specially trained body movements, on skis, in a half-squat.
-? And what is the main thing in this lesson – mountains, skiing, body movements, speed?
-? The pleasure of all this put together, – Anastasia Leonidovna replies, – I like it so much, it charges so much with emotions for a whole year that we all look forward to getting together again and going to the mountains.
-? Then in order.Where are your mountains?
-? Three times we were in the Alps – in Italy and in Austria: In the Val Gardena valley, these are the Dolomites, and in Cervinia – we skated there in the Italian Alps and went to the Swiss ones.
For your information: these are famous ski resorts. The ski area Val Gardena is located at an altitude of 1200–1500 m. The Downhill World Cup for men is held here annually. Previously, it was part of Austria, now – Italy, here Austrian flavor and Italian temperament are combined.Cervinia is the highest mountain resort on the Italian-Swiss border, 2050 meters above sea level, here is the mountain of ski records – Monte Rosa, the highest peak of which burns with a pink flame at dawn and dusk.
-? Last year we went to Sweden. The mountains are not so high there, and the service is different. And in Italy we have visited different places, and I want to return to each one. But, probably, first ten more countries should be bypassed, and only then – at the old addresses.
-? And in Russia?
-? We leave for the Moscow region, one might say, often, depending on the weather, and not for long – here, if we settle down with accommodation, it turns out more expensive than abroad.
– Is a skier’s outfit expensive? Sometimes there are people in the mountains, smartly equipped, with mountain glasses on their foreheads, for whom it is a matter of prestige to look like that.
-? And at the same time sitting in the bar without getting out, they just come for this!
-? It’s just that it was easier before: next to the packaged “according to the firm” it was possible to wear jeans.
-? And now it is possible – but in special clothes it is more comfortable, I do not consider this as a demonstration of myself in a ski suit.Daughter Alisa – she is 11 years old, has been skating with us since the age of 5 – is also fully equipped. And the house has everything for other activities
-? Sports?
-? Active, but without fanaticism – a swimming pool, flat skis, a bicycle.
– Is it because you need to keep fit between trips to the mountains?
-? In an amicable way it would be necessary … every day … But … And in the summer – a bicycle! Ride in the park, for fun …
-? Is it difficult to learn to ski? They say that in order to skate well, you just need to go where you need to, don’t slow down where you don’t need to and don’t get tired when you don’t need to.
-? It takes years to skate beautifully. You can master a safe descent in two days. You will understand whether you will continue to ride or not – on the first day. I am not a pro and I do not strive for this, but there is a constant desire to improve the technique in order to skate well.
– That is, the purpose of skiing from the mountains is the very skiing from the mountains? But is this a sport – or what?
-? For me – not a sport. This is a hobby, entertainment. Although extreme – there are a lot of opportunities to get injured.
-? The most had to …?
-? Pah-pah. But it was – on the first day in the Alps … I flew off the road to the side, turned over, for a few seconds – I did not understand anything … And already towards evening, the snow melting under the Alpine sun froze – it hurts. But there were no fractures.
– And isn’t it scary?
-? Well … Yes … But the pleasure is both from the speed and from the conquest of this steepness. And from the fact that you overcome the fear of this speed, steepness.
– What about the speed on the descent with what can be compared – with a bicycle, with a car?
-? Didn’t compare – not before.
-? You will be surprised: an intermediate skier on a long slope reaches 100 km per hour, the world record is 250.
-? And admire the beauty of nature – the Alps, after all, are legendary places! Or just sitting on a lift? And at the top and below?
-? No, during the descent – too. But this perception of the surrounding landscape – peaks, trees, stones, snow – is quite different – at speed.
– What about visiting foreign sights – monuments, architecture, etc.?
-? Of course! True, this is more often when we are in a company with us – there are those who do not ride, wait at the bottom – and we either drive on our own, or sign up for an excursion. Vivid impressions are Neuschwanstein and Fenis castles.
For reference. Neuschwanstein – “New Swan Cliff” – a 19th century castle near the German town of Fussen, not far from the Austrian border. It was erected at an altitude of 1008 m in the 19th century by King Ludwig II of Bavaria.Fairy castles in Disneylands were built in his likeness, here PI Tchaikovsky conceived the idea of ”Swan Lake”. Fenis in the northern Italian province of Valle d’Aosta was built at the beginning of the XIII century, looks quite formidable, although in its history it has never been used for military purposes and was built, as they say, for prestige – to impress guests.
-? You say “we” all the time. Who is this – a team, a collective?
-? Such a constantly-variable composition of acquaintances, 20 people, of which, according to the capabilities of each, a group is recruited. For example, they went to Sweden in 4 cars – 12 people.
When we are going on a trip, we plan a route on the map. Considering that everyone’s level is different, first we go to simple tracks and teach the “young” there, pull up to our level – and move to more difficult slopes.
In the mountains, communication, common interests, common perception, emotions are generally very important.
-? Emotional Contagion, Emotional Resonance?
-? It is important to be with like-minded people – I would not go alone. We will start negotiating where we will go – together – next year while still on the trip. Upon arrival home, we call back, then we meet – not often, several times a year, we change photos, remember and plan – starting in September we are already discussing a specific route. Not only – I just want to see you.
When we return, we are all so different: of different professions, from different strata of society, we live in different places and every day we communicate in our circle of friends – but we are drawn to each other.
Here I have: just the impressions have subsided, some time passes, and I feel – everything, as if I got sick again: I want to go to the mountains again and again. It doesn’t matter where. It happens that mountains are dreaming. It doesn’t matter which ones. I want to go again – together.
– When did you get sick for the first time?
-? I was attracted – well, or lured …
-? … lured …
-? 15 years ago. They told about their trip to the mountains, showed them photographs – I say: I would try.I skied well on ordinary skis, so … Well, I got infected.
– How are you luring?
-? The same: I went, told our employee Yulia Ivanova, showed the photos, I see: a person is interested, invited me to the next trip, she went with us, says – next year – definitely!
-? Now, probably, she is telling herself, showing photographs.
-? Luring!
Anastasia Leonidovna did not answer the question: why, in fact, is she skiing. For her, this is not a sport – the result is not important. Well, sort of – to ride. To have fun. Is that all? To ride better and safer, you have to work, although she is an amateur. I mean, he loves to ride.
Then everything is simple: if you like to ride, love and ride.
90,000 how to get rid of horsetail in the garden
Also called tin grass, cat’s eye, mop-grass, whisk, ponytail. It is the basis for the manufacture of drugs that have an effective effect in the fight against gallstone disease, diarrhea, eczema, dermatitis, shingles and other diseases. But such a positive side of this herb is sharply opposed by its biggest drawback – the field horsetail is a garden horsetail, which is sometimes very difficult to get rid of.
Plant description
This is a perennial spore grass that reaches a height of 40-50 cm.has a long creeping rhizome, on which small tuberous processes are formed, with the help of which vegetative propagation of the grass occurs. Aerial shoots are dimorphic, that is, they are generative and vegetative.
Generative are presented in brownish or pink color, have brown leaf teeth in the form of a triangle; vegetative – green, erect, empty, have a pointed top. Reproduction occurs by spores, after the maturation of which it completely dies off.But after a few weeks, the bushes turn green again. Then there is the formation of lateral branches, which outwardly are practically indistinguishable from the type of vegetative processes.
Did you know?
Horsetail is one of the oldest inhabitants of our planet, its age is approximately 400 million years, it is even older than dinosaurs.
Horsetail grows in the subarctic, temperate and tropical climate of Eurasia, throughout North America. The ideal conditions for it are wet sandy. Got widespread in the unconventional.
Why is horsetail dangerous?
In addition to the fact that this herb is annoying and poisons the life of all gardeners, it should be remembered that it is poisonous
. Horsetail spreads very quickly in the soil, it is enough for a few spores to get into the soil, and expect abundant growth next year. At the same time, it is difficult to eradicate, even the most proven and popular remedies do not always help with this problem. You just need a systematic approach and the use of complex methods of dealing with this unwanted inhabitant of yours.
Methods of vegetation control
Digging yours annually, you may be faced with the problem of detecting signs of this weed. Its root processes are located at a depth of 40-60 cm, where it is difficult to reach with an ordinary shovel. As a result, the horsetail lives and grows in your garden. Only the timely and systematic application of effective methods of combating it will help prevent its active spread.Let’s consider several ways.
Decrease in acidity
Everyone knows that horsetail grows in soils with high acidity
. Therefore, in order to get rid of it, this indicator must be gradually reduced. Remember that the decline process is very long and can take from 5-6 months to a couple of years.
To do this, add slaked lime or to the soil. These components will help solve the problem. The main thing is to calculate the dosage correctly: 2-3 kg of limestone per 1 square meter in the first year and 500 g in the second or third year.If you combine the procedure with the implementation of regular weeding, then after a few years this problem will disappear forever.
Did you know?
In Japan, horsetail stems are boiled in a special way, and they are used to polish wooden objects of applied art, which gives them an exquisite and unusual shine.
Chemicals
Field horsetail belongs to the class that does not have flowers and reproduces by spores. In order to completely get rid of it in the garden, use that kill various types of weeds. Most of their varieties belong to the IV class according to the hazard of substances and are harmless to such beneficial insects as. These kinds of drugs block the synthesis of aromatic amino acids that occurs in this herb. As a result, the weed gradually dies off and dies.
Perform herbicide treatment in the evening
. A particularly good condition will be the presence of calm weather without wind and precipitation.
Important!
It is possible to get rid of this herb with the use of potent herbicides (“Glyphos” or) with a high content of the chemical (about 10 liters per hectare). But this way you increase the likelihood that harmful substances will get into both the crop and the crop itself.
Biological methods
If you are thinking about how to get rid of the horsetail in the garden, then the Cruciferous family will come to your aid
plants. Its representatives are the worst enemies for horsetail, it does not tolerate being near them.
If you notice the prerequisites for the appearance of a weed in your own garden, then for the next season, be sure to plant the seeds of Cruciferous plants. This is because they have a special rhizome secretion that can suppress weeds. This method will lead to the almost complete disappearance of the annoying horsetail.
It is worth trying another method of controlling the plant – or covering the places where it grows with black plastic. In this case, you can use organic and inert s. Dehumidify in areas of the soil where the moisture level is higher than normal.
A little about useful properties
Horsetail became famous as a real “healer” due to its unique medicinal properties
.
The herb has become widespread as an anti-inflammatory and diuretic for pain in the bladder and kidneys, has a cardiotonic and restorative effect. Infusions from such a plant, firstly, improve metabolic processes, and secondly, they rid the body of excess fluid, thereby reducing swelling of the body and internal organs.
Cat’s eye, mop-grass, panicle, tin grass, ponytail … All these wonderful and very extraordinary names belong to such a plant as the horsetail.Medicines made on the basis of tin herb can effectively fight diseases such as cholelithiasis, diarrhea, eczema, dermatitis, trophic ulcers, lichens and other ailments. However, this herbaceous plant has another side. Field horsetail is a garden weed, and it is difficult to remove.
Horsetail can get into the garden together with the introduced soil. For example, this plant is very fond of settling on developed peatlands, from where soil is often brought for garden plantings. Before adding soil to your site, you need to make sure that horsetail rhizomes are not “hidden” in it. It is not so easy to calculate them, for this you should carefully sort out most of the soil.
It is quite difficult to find signs of horsetail during the annual digging of the site (both spring and autumn). The fact is that the root system of this plant can lie at a depth of forty to sixty centimeters. Unfortunately, with the help of usually a shovel it is simply impossible to reach the rhizomes, so this weed continues to live and develop peacefully in the garden plot.To avoid its spread, it is necessary to learn how to correctly, and most importantly, to deal with this plant in a timely and effective manner.
Horsetail control methods
1. Chemicals
Horsetail belongs to herbaceous plants that do not have flowers, but reproduce by spores. For its destruction, drugs such as Glyphos are suitable. This aqueous solution is used to kill annual and perennial weeds. Belonging to the IV class of hazardous substances, Glyphos does not harm beneficial insects (such as bees). The action of the drug is aimed at blocking the synthesis of aromatic amino acids that occurs in the field horsetail. The consequence of this is the gradual dying off, and then the death of the plant.
Glyphos and other herbicides are preferable to apply in the evening. It will be just wonderful if the weather on this day is calm and calm. During processing, the gardener should protect his hands with rubber gloves. Do not spray during or after rain, or during dry periods.
2. Unwanted neighborhood
There are plants that horsetail does not tolerate. These include almost all representatives of the Cruciferous family: oil radish, winter rapeseed, white mustard and others. In those places of the infield where the appearance of horsetail was noticed, any of the cruciferous plants should be planted the next year. The fact is that root secretions of radish, rapeseed and other crops are able to suppress weeds. Such a neighborhood will lead to almost one hundred percent death of the horsetail.
3. Decrease in soil acidity
As you know, horsetail prefers to grow in soils with high acidity. Therefore, this indicator should be gradually reduced. By the way, the process of lowering acidity is long-term, it can take from six months to several years. In order not to act blindly, it is preferable to initially calculate the total acidity of the soil on the site. Lime should be added to the soil for several years. Calculation: two to three kilograms of lime per square meter in the first year and five hundred grams in the second – third year.If the acidity reduction procedure is combined with regular weeding, then in a couple of years there will be no trace of horsetail in the garden.
In the fight against a weed like horsetail, the main thing is to work on an ongoing basis. In no case should you leave the garden unprepared after harvesting. The soil should be carefully dug up, and when the first shoots of horsetail appear, they should be immediately destroyed. Comprehensive measures will allow the gardener to forget about the weed plant for a long time!
Horsetail is a malicious weed that most often comes to us with imported soil from developed peatlands, where this plant loves to settle.
Horsetail is a very harmful weed that releases spore-bearing shoots in various parts of the garden, starting from mid-May. The plant is dangerous because its growing rhizomes draw out all moisture from the ground and impoverish the soil, preventing cultivated plants from developing normally.
When digging (both spring and autumn), the roots of horsetail are hardly noticeable, so it is difficult to choose them. Meanwhile, they can go into the soil to a depth of 40-60 cm or even 1 m. It is very difficult to dig the earth to such a depth. Thus, the shovel does not get to the rhizomes of the weed, and it quietly multiplies, populating new territories. Therefore, there are several rules for preparing the soil on the site, observing which, you can protect the site from horsetail.
Principles of soil preparation
1.
When using imported soil, make sure that there are no inconspicuous blackish rhizomes of the horsetail in it. Otherwise, the plant will settle on your site, and it will be difficult to get rid of it.
2.
Lime soil to create unfavorable conditions for horsetail growth. Usually, calcium-containing preparations (lime, chalk, ash, dolomite flour) are used for this purpose.
If field horsetail grows on the plot, it means that the soil is acidic
Dolomite flour is considered the most popular and most convenient remedy. Indeed, in addition to reducing acidity, it also improves the structure of the soil and enriches it with magnesium. And, unlike lime, dolomite flour can be applied at any time of the year.
The table shows the approximate doses of dolomite flour when liming different types of soil.
3. Be consistent. In the first year, apply the full dose of lime materials, and in the next 2-3 years – no more than half. It is preferable to do this in the spring. If you alternate this event with weeding out the green stems of horsetail, then after 3-4 years you can get rid of this insidious weed completely.
What drugs will get rid of horsetail?
Since horsetail is a spore plant, not a flowering plant, the use of Tornado or Roundup is ineffective.Horsetail can only be destroyed by using a large dose (4 ml / 10 m2) of a more powerful herbicide, such as Glyphos. But in this case, there is a high likelihood of hazardous chemicals entering not only the soil, but also vegetables and fruits.
Horsetail does not get along with plants of the Cruciferous family: winter rape, oil radish, white mustard. Therefore, in order to protect the site from weeds, after harvesting, these plants can be sown on the empty beds. Winter rye has the same property.
The medicinal properties of horsetail
On the one hand, horsetail is a malicious weed that takes nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus from the soil and accumulates them in its nodules.
On the other hand, this is a unique medicinal plant, which contains a large amount of valuable substances, as well as silicic acid, which the human body really needs. It is necessary for the construction of the skeleton, the work of the mucous membranes, the healing of wounds and damage to the walls of blood vessels. The silicon compounds found in horsetail prevent the formation of kidney stones. It is especially effective in treating diseases of the urinary tract.
For preparation of medicinal tea
horsetail
1-2 tsp dried chopped herbs are poured with 250 ml of hot water, infused for 30 minutes and filtered. It is recommended to drink up to 3 cups of this drug per day.
Of course, for an ordinary summer resident, horsetail is a weed that harms plantings. Therefore, carefully check the delivered soil, monitor the acidity of the soil and promptly get rid of “random” weeds before they have time to fill the entire area.
Horsetail is noticeably superior to other weeds in its ability to take nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium from the soil.
We are accustomed to seeing these Christmas trees, but in early spring the horsetail may not be recognized. Juicy brownish-pink “candles” appear on damp meadows and wastelands, in ravines and abandoned beds. These first spore-bearing shoots at the beginning of summer are replaced by green tough thin twigs.
Horsetail summer herb has long been used in folk medicine as a hemostatic, diuretic and anti-inflammatory agent.
Why is he dangerous?
And yet, despite these virtues, the horsetail has a reputation as a vicious weed. It looks small and even boring: it has neither flowers nor spreading leaves. Loves high humidity, prefers light soils. However, I am ready to adapt to a wide variety of conditions.
Like most weeds, horsetail is stubborn and hardy. Where the earth has not been disturbed with a plow or a shovel for years, it does not let its black and white rhizome go further than 40-50 cm.In crops, it sometimes deepens into the soil by 1.5 m. Imperceptibly, but very persistently, the weed depletes the garden bed, accumulating reserves of sugars and starch in the rhizome with small nodules located on it.
Horsetail makes its harvests especially successfully on fallow lands or on a potato field, where it takes a weighty portion of mineral nutrition from the cultivated owner.
Having decided to get rid of this green “predator”, do not hope to defeat it by simple weeding. Most likely, after a couple of weeks with chagrin, you will find that the horsetail on the site has become even more than it was.
And this is not surprising: the nodules of rhizomes remaining in the ground are organs of vegetative reproduction. By destroying the aerial part of the plant, you just forced it to vigorously fight for survival. That’s when the nodules with a supply of nutrients came in handy for the weed.
How to get rid of horsetail
How can one still cope with this harmful plant?
Among other things, the presence of this weed is considered one of the signs of increased acidity of the soil.It helps to reduce it by introducing dolomite flour or crushed slaked lime for digging.
Notes
The herbicide “Glyphos” can be used against horsetail. It blocks the synthesis of aromatic amino acids in plants, as a result of which the weed gradually dies off. It is practically safe for bees, however, it causes a limitation of their flight from 6 to 12 hours.
Biological horsetail control
Horsetail does not tolerate the proximity to cabbage crops (formerly called crucifers).Their root exudates are capable of suppressing weeds. Therefore, in places where the appearance of horsetail was noticed, radish, radish, daikon, rapeseed or mustard should be planted the next year.
Horsetail – traditional medicine recipes
In winter, you can prepare an infusion of horsetail to boost immunity.
Its use will help to resist viral infections. 1 tbsp. l. dry herbs pour a glass of boiling water, leave for 1 hour, drain. Drink this amount of infusion in 3-4 doses during the day.
Horsetail decoction is used for exacerbation of cystitis. 2 tbsp. l. pour 1 liter of dried herbs, boil for 10 minutes, let it brew in a warm place for 20 minutes, strain. Take 150-200 ml 2-3 times a day. Do not throw out the squeezed grass, but place it in a gauze bag and apply it warmly to the lower abdomen.
Viktor A. Krylov
Field horsetail is an obsessive weed, very tenacious, likes to grow on acidic and clay soils. Its summer shoots are very similar to young Christmas trees. In spring, the plant gives spore-bearing pinkish shoots, very juicy and not branched.
Horsetail belongs to root-sprouting weeds that reproduce by means of rhizomes. They have a thin and strong root, black or dark brown in color. The root system lies at a depth of sixty centimeters.
How to get rid of horsetail in the garden
Prepare respirator and gloves, gardening tools, lime fertilizers, chemicals and cruciferous seeds. Now let’s get started.
1. According to agronomists, fields and vegetable gardens are becoming more and more clogged every year. Marsh horsetail is rightfully considered the most intrusive weed that loves to litter crops. Its thickets actively deplete and dry out the soil, which makes it difficult to care for crops, reduces the productivity of gardens and fields.
2. Horsetail roots break through to a fairly large depth, and the shoots are very large, so a special approach to them is needed. How to get rid of horsetail in the garden? There are special ways to control this weed that work well.
You can dwell on the mechanical method – weeding, digging, loosening. Of course, this method is very laborious, but the most reliable. Weeding is done carefully, all weeds must be removed from the garden, otherwise they will germinate in a new way. The roots, as mentioned above, penetrate very deeply, so it will not be possible to completely pull out the plant. The remains will give new shoots very quickly.
3. It is worth taking advantage of horsetail’s love for acidic soils. It is necessary to introduce limestone, calcite, slaked lime, dolomite, and sugar production waste into the ground. This helps to reduce the acidity of the earth. Horsetail does not like non-acidic soils. To get rid of it in this way, even if not immediately, it will work out. This method reduces the concentration of nutrients in the earth, so you should carefully read the instructions on the packaging of the chemicals used.
4. How to get rid of horsetail in the garden with the least effort? You can colonize the area with cruciferous plants such as white mustard, arugula, or winter rape. This will greatly overshadow the existence of the horsetail.
5. You can plant winter rye seeds, which acts as a kind of orderly at the site. But the fastest and, perhaps, the most effective way is still the chemical one. In specialized stores, buy fertilizers that kill weeds, but do not harm crops.
6. Another method for getting rid of horsetail in the garden is not to allow its spores to ripen, as a result of which the plant gradually dries up. To do this, from the beginning of spring, every twelve days, simply mow the weed and weed the aisles. However, you should observe the growth of horsetail, because in rainy weather, its shoots appear and stretch much faster. Good luck!
Horsetail is a perennial herb from the Horsetail family, which numbers about thirty different species and is one of the oldest plant crops on our planet. This aggressive and at the same time useful weed, consists of a long (about 100 cm) creeping branched rhizome and succulent erect shoots – “fir trees” (30 to 50 cm long) with a spike-shaped inflorescence at the top.An unpretentious and tenacious plant easily tolerates frosty winters and high summer temperatures, even forest fires are not afraid of it. The grass grows on any soil, but it feels more favorable in moist forest areas, as well as in meadows, along roads and in vegetable gardens.
Description
Horsetail in the country, in the garden or in the garden is a serious problem and cause for concern. The weed reproduces by spores and rhizomes, therefore it spreads easily and very quickly over a huge territory and significantly reduces the quantity and quality of the expected harvest. Its main food is such useful components as nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. The weed root system absorbs all these nutrients from the soil, leaving garden crops without feeding. Vegetable plants stop their full development and growth.
Popular species in our country are the Lugovoy and Bolotny horsetail, and at the dachas of the Moscow Region you can most often find the Field (or Ordinary) horsetail. The people have many different names for this weed – marsh column, cat’s tail, pusher, earthen cone, field tree, ponytail, panicle and many others.
The main feature of horsetail is the ability of its reproductive organs for a long time to maintain their vitality and survival, due to their deep bedding in the soil. When adjacent to other weeds (for example, fescue and wheatgrass), horsetail can form real dense thickets that are not afraid of droughts or excess moisture, sun or shade. Getting rid of this culture completely will take a lot of effort and patience, as well as a comprehensive, timely and systematic approach.
Weed control methods
Since the weed culture feels more favorable on wet soils, one of the measures to combat it is to drain the waterlogged area.
Covering areas with thickets of horsetail and row spacing with dense opaque material (for example, black plastic wrap or pieces of plywood) also leads to good results. Herbaceous crops do not have access to light, the high temperature under the cover simply burns them out – all this ultimately leads to the death of most of the weeds.
Mulching the beds has two functions at once – it protects against weeds and nourishes the soil. It is recommended to use crushed tree bark or shavings, spruce or pine needles, small tree branches, dry grass, straw and even small river pebbles as mulch. First you need to lay out geotextiles or spunbond, and on top of it a layer of 5 – 7 cm of mulch. Horsetail is too tough for such an obstacle.
After harvesting vegetables, you can prepare the site for the next season by sowing it with any cruciferous plants. The roots of crops such as mustard, radish or rapeseed produce substances that many weeds, including horsetail, hate. Weeds do not grow in such a neighborhood.
There is one more simple proven method. It is necessary to dig deeply the land plot, at the same time carefully selecting all the roots of perennial plants, and then add a large amount of wood ash to the soil. You can replace deep tillage with deoxidation by adding slaked lime or dolomite flour.
Good efficiency is obtained by treating the soil with weeds with the chemicals “Zenkor”, “Agrokiller”, “Prima”, “Hurricane”, “Roundup” and “Glyphos”.
Special preventive measures to combat weeds will help to reduce many times the number of horsetails in the country or in the garden. The most popular are the repeated liming of the soil (within 2 – 3 years) and maintaining a stable level of soil acidity. For each square meter of land, you will need from 500 g to 2 kg of lime.If we add to this regular weeding, then gradually their number will become minimal.
Is it useful?
Horsetail is used in official and folk medicine in dry and fresh form, in tinctures and ointments, broths and teas, in the form of compresses and powders, lotions and baths.
The herb is used in cooking, cosmetology and as a “medicine” in floriculture.
It is a perennial herbaceous spore plant. Horsetails are the remains and “heirs” of an ancient group of plants that reached maximum diversity in the Carboniferous period.
The tree-like relatives of horsetails – Kalamites – were more than 10 m in height with a trunk diameter of up to 0.5 m.
Modern horsetails look much more modest, they are all herbaceous plants with relatively thin stems
.
However, horsetail is difficult to confuse with any other plant. Horsetail has tough, ribbed, silica-rich stems, and the leaves are small and fused together.
In many species, lateral branches diverge from the main stem, giving the plants a resemblance to a small herringbone.
Both the Slavic name “horsetail” and the Latin equisetum (equus – horse; seta, setae – bristle, coarse hair) reflect the similarity of horsetail shoots with the tail of an animal.
Recognizing weeds “in the face”
One of the common types of horsetails is well known to many owners of household plots – this is the field horsetail.
It is widespread in all regions of Ukraine.
As a rule, grows along roads, on embankments, in floodplain forests and meadows, among thickets of bushes, as well as in fields and vegetable gardens, preferring nutrient-rich moist soils with an acid reaction.
Horsetail is one of the indicators of acidic soil. Often forms large thickets.
In many respects, the ability of horsetail to reproduce rapidly is explained by the formation of long underground rhizomes, capable of giving rise to many terrestrial shoots in a short time.
The root system in the form of a thin articular rhizome penetrates into the soil to a depth of 30-50 cm to 100 cm.
The bulk of rhizomes is concentrated at a depth of 30-60 cm.On the nodes of the rhizomes, small nodules are formed, which contain reserves of nutrients.
Growth and development of field horsetail
The field horsetail is characterized by a pronounced dimorphism of the shoots. In early spring, brownish or reddish juicy unbranched upright thick shoots 7-25 cm high, 3-5 mm in diameter develop, bearing one spore-bearing spikelet at the apex.
After maturation and shedding of the spores, these shoots die off and instead of them, sterile summer vegetative shoots 10-50 cm high grow from the same rhizome – much tougher, green, with whorled lateral branches.
The whole plant is tough and rough, as it is saturated with silicic acid.
Horsetail reproduces both vegetatively and by spores. Shoots from spores and shoots from underground buds appear with the onset of stable warm weather. Sections of rhizomes and nodules, with high vitality, can grow from a depth of up to 60 cm.
Due to the indicated biological characteristics, horsetail has high competitive abilities in relation to cultivated and weed plants and becomes a malicious weed on acidic soils.
The economic threshold of harmfulness, that is, the number of weeds that significantly affects the yield of the crop, is 2-5 pieces per 1 sq. meter.
How to deal with horsetail?
The main control measures for this annoying weed are agronomic. Taking into account the biological characteristics of horsetail and its ecological characteristics, it is necessary to act in two directions:
- Firstly, this plant prefers acidic soils, so first you need to achieve a decrease in acidity.
- Second, because horsetail has a deeply branched root system through which it spreads, control measures are applied to deplete it. This is regular weeding with careful selection of roots (along with root nodules), as well as deep pruning of the root system with moldboard tools.
How to reduce soil acidity?
It is possible to reduce the acidity of the soil by adding lime. It is better to do this in the fall. Doses of applied lime depend on the pH value, the mechanical composition of the soil, the humus content in it and the quality of the lime material.
Our advice:
Before adding lime, it is necessary to grind well, since particles larger than 1 mm no longer have a neutralizing effect. Lime is scattered evenly over the soil surface, after which the site is dug to a depth of at least 20 cm. Thorough and even mixing of lime with the soil increases the efficiency of liming.
If lime is applied unevenly, in places where there was an excess of it (for example, a lump got in), oppression of plants is possible, and even their death
.
It should be noted that the rates of application of lime fertilizers depend on the acidity of the soil, its granulometry, composition (on heavy soils, the rate of lime is increased). They must be sufficient to maintain a slightly acidic or nearly neutral soil reaction (pH 5.5-6.0).
If lime is not available, it can be replaced with wood ash, dolomite flour or chalk. Chalk is taken 10-20 kg per hundred square meters, if the soils are light, and 15-20 kg, if the soils are heavy.
In this case, it is better to make 2/3 of the dose for digging or plowing (in the fall), and 1/3 later (in the spring) and fence or rake.Liming is repeated after 5-6 years.
Chalk can be added annually to the rows before sowing or planting vegetable plants, and together with peat, humus or just with the earth in a ratio of 1: 2. In this case, the dose is reduced to 2-3 kg. If wood ash is introduced, then spruce is taken twice as much as lime or chalk, and birch and pine – one and a half times.
When lime is added, the acidity does not change immediately. Depending on the applied dose, a slightly acidic or neutral reaction is established after 1-2 or even 3 years.
Lime improves soil properties for several years. When adding 300-400 g of lime per 1 sq. meter, its effect can last 5-7 years, and at high doses (600-800 g) – 12-15 years.
Our advice:
On soils of light texture (sandy and sandy loam), lime is applied in smaller doses, but treatments are carried out more often (when adding 100-200 g per 1 square meter, its effect lasts about 2 years). On these soils, especially good results are obtained by the introduction of dolomite flour or dolomitized limestone, which, in addition to calcium, contain a lot of magnesium and not only neutralize the acidity of the soil, but also enrich it with magnesium.
Liming will significantly reduce the number of horsetails, because the conditions for its growth will no longer be so favorable. And after a few deep weeding, the horsetail will disappear completely.
Today there are no herbicides that effectively kill horsetail.
Since rhizomes are one of the reproductive organs of horsetail, chemical agents will be effective only when the preparations penetrate into the root system.

Moscow City – LiveJournal
On the birthday of Tatyana Doronina, actress, director and artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater named after M. Gorky, we look at her photographs, recall key roles and confess our love.
Tatyana Doronina is one of the main beauties of Russian cinema and theater, who made everyone unconsciously fall in love with Antoine de Saint-Exupery, quietly singing a strange song in Three Poplars on Plyushchikha, who created the main female image of the 1960s – a gentle woman-mother with a mysterious smile.
Today Doronina heads the Gorky Moscow Art Theater, where she goes on stage and puts on performances. In the new season, which will traditionally open on September 15 with the play Vassa Zheleznova with Doronina in the title role, the theater will show two of her new productions – The Glass Menagerie based on the play by Tennessee Williams and Bulgakov’s Zoyka’s Apartment.

Woe from Wit (1962), Bolshoi Drama Theater named after M.Gorky
Tatiana Doronina got into the troupe of the Bolshoi Drama Theater (BDT) almost by accident. In 1959, the artistic director of the theater, Georgy Aleksandrovich Tovstonogov, conceived to stage Gorky’s “The Barbarian”, but did not see anyone among the regular actresses for the role of Nadezhda Monakhova. The 26-year-old actress Doronina, who recently graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School, he found in the Leningrad Lenin Komsomol Theater. She coped brilliantly with the role of a gentle, submissive and believing in love Nadezhda. And for seven years she became one of the BDT prima donnas.

Sophia in Woe from Wit is one of the best works of the actress, created under the leadership of Tovstonogov: a beautiful woman who knows her worth, regal – one that you can really love madly. Unsuccessfully trying to find warmth and understanding in her eyes, Chatsky was initially played by Sergei Yursky, then Vladimir Receptor was introduced into the performance. He had heard what it was like to work with the endlessly talented but demanding Doronina. Most of all he was afraid of failure not in front of the audience or the great artistic director of the BDT, but in front of her. When Doronina expressed her approval, he could only breathe out happily.
Edward Radzinsky (who later became her husband) admired Doronina-Sophia from the auditorium. After that, the playwright said more than once: whoever did not go to Tovstonogov’s “Woe from Wit” has never been to the theater at all.
“Elder Sister” (1966)
The film “Elder Sister” began with the play of the same name by Alexander Volodin, which was shown on the stage of the G.A. Tovstonogov. Georgy Natanson decided to film a story about a natural-born actress who put her youth on the upbringing of a sister left without a mother, and asked Volodin to make a script out of the play. Fascinated by Doronina’s acting, the director did not consider other candidates for the main role. However, both the artistic council and the scriptwriter were skeptical of his opinion, as if repeating a scene from a play in which the heroine comes to the theater school and listens to the commission’s sharp remarks. “She doesn’t need to act in films. She speaks with a breath, almost in a whisper – no good, ”they tried to dissuade Nathanson. But he was adamant.
Georgy Tovstonogov put forward a condition to Doronina: the film can only be filmed in his free time from the theater. The talented actress passed this test with honor: she constantly traveled from Leningrad to Moscow and back. Free time? He was not there, but, it seemed, there was satisfaction from his work.
Half of the picture was taken in one breath.
“I don’t like it, this is not art!” – unexpectedly said Doronina after watching the footage.I didn’t want to listen to anyone, despite the fact that the entire film crew assured that the film was turning out very good. Then the actress decided to show the material to her friends whom she trusted. They said the painting was brilliant. These acquaintances were Edward Radzinsky and his mother.
After the release of “The Elder Sister” on the screens, national fame came to Doronina. The magazine “Soviet Screen” recognized her as the best actress in 1967, and in Italy, where the picture was also shown, Doronin was called the Russian Marilyn Monroe.

The Idiot (1966), Bolshoi Drama Theater named after M. Gorky
Doronina’s last role in the BDT was Nastasya Filippovna in The Idiot based on Dostoevsky’s novel. In Tovstonogov’s production, the main character was not Prince Myshkin, but she – the fatal love of Parfen Rogozhin.
The Idiot premiered in 1957. The performance with the young, as yet unknown to anyone, Innokentiy Smoktunovsky as Prince Myshkin and Nina Olkhina as Nastasya Filippovna became a legend, it was called a miracle and a real sensation.
After leaving the Smoktunovsky theater, not finding a worthy replacement for him, Tovstonogov removed The Idiot from the repertoire. But they wanted to see a stellar performance in Europe – and in 1966 the director created a second edition, exclusively for touring. The role of Myshkin remained with Smoktunovsky, and the rest were redistributed: Olkhina now played General Epanchin, and the role of Nastasya Filippovna was played by Tatyana Doronina and Emma Popova. Instead of three acts, the play now consisted of two, and as a whole, from the era of Dostoevsky, it has strongly departed into modernity.
In France and England, the production was received with enthusiasm. Among the spectators at one of the shows was the French actor Gerard Philip – after the performance, he paid homage to his colleague Doronina and presented her with a bouquet of red roses. He said more than once that this Nastasya Filippovna conquered his heart forever.
“Three poplars on Plyushchikha” (1967)
“I want to play in this film,” Tatiana Doronina decided when she saw her photo tests. The pictures, in her opinion, turned out to be unusually alive, real.
However, the shooting did not always take place in a calm atmosphere. The actress sometimes could not find a common language with the director Tatyana Lioznova, they often quarreled. Lioznova even said that once Doronina almost brought her to a heart attack. During one of the scenes, her character Nyura had to eat ice cream on the platform. The actress refused to do this with the words: “Don’t you know that I don’t like ice cream?” The film crew froze – before that, no one could argue with the director. Moreover, no one expected that Lioznova, in order not to quarrel, would refuse this scene.
A still from the film Three Poplars on Plyushchikha. Directed by Tatiana Lioznova. 1967
The film became the best in Lioznova’s career (along with “Seventeen Moments of Spring”), and also brought two awards to the actress – for the best actress at the All-Union Film Festival in Minsk in 1970 and the International Catholic Bureau of Cinematography at the IFF in March. del Plata in 1968. And “Soviet Screen” once again named her the actress of the year.
Soviet girls wanted a hairstyle like Doronina’s, looked for outfits like her heroines, sang her songs. After the release of “Three Poplars on Plyushchikha”, the song “Tenderness” by Alexandra Pakhmutova, Sergei Grebennikov and Nikolai Dobronravov became a hit.
“Once Again About Love” (1968)
Having conceived to film the play by Edward Radzinsky “104 Pages About Love”, Georgy Natanson never hesitated for a minute who to invite to the main role. Of course to Doronin! The director perfectly remembered how brilliantly she did the last time, so without hesitation he invited her to play the gentle flight attendant Natasha, who fell in love with the strict physicist Evdokimov and managed to break through to his soul through the thick armor of irony and arrogance.
The incredible success of the film (in 1968 it was watched by 40 million viewers) was a foregone conclusion: the main roles were played by famous actors – Tatyana Doronina, Alexander Lazarev, Oleg Efremov, Radzinsky’s play was well known for theatrical performances. Like The Big Sister, Natanson and Doronina’s second joint film began with a performance at the BDT, in which the actress played the same role. The film won the Grand Prix “For Excellence in Directing and High Morality” at the Cartagena International Film Festival (Colombia).
And Tatyana Doronina, after the role of Natasha, established herself in her stellar status. “You are the best girl in the USSR!” – after the physicist Evdokimov, the whole country repeated, and, unlike the hero Alexander Lazarev, without a shadow of irony.

“Wonderful character” (1970)
Surprisingly, the formula “starring – Doronin, scriptwriter – Edvard Radzinsky” did not always give a successful result. The film by Konstantin Voinov “Wonderful Character” based on the play of the same name by Radzinsky in 1970 not only failed at the box office, but also received angry responses from critics. The “Soviet Screen”, which had just praised the actress, was now scolding her heroine Nadezhda Kazakova, a singer with one hit, the manners of an international superstar and a non-Soviet-style hard temper.
But Doronina, like Kazakova, never paid attention to what others were saying about her. For her, this role is one of the most important and favorite in her career.“My character is wonderful,” says Nadezhda Kazakova in the film. “You just need to understand it.”

“Stepmother” (1973)
However, the audience’s love and critical success returned with the next role. In the film “Stepmother” by Oleg Bondarev, Doronina again played a gentle, forgiving and understanding woman-mother whom they wanted to see in her. The film became the leader of the box office, Doronina regained the title of actress of the year according to the version of “Soviet Screen” and received a special prize at the Tehran IFF in 1973.
Many scenes of The Stepmother were filmed in the village of Zarudnya, Kolomna district. It was a great event for local residents – to see with their own eyes not just how a movie is made, but also Tatyana Doronina herself.

“Dulcinea Toboskaya” (1971), Moscow Art Theater named after M. Gorky
“Dulsinea Tobosskaya” – Oleg Efremov’s acting and directorial debut at the Moscow Art Theater. The theater at that time was going through a crisis, from which it had to be pulled out by a play based on the play by Alexander Volodin, the favorite of the Soviet theater and cinema goer.It was decided to give the main role to Doronina, who served at the Moscow Art Theater since the mid-sixties after moving to Moscow.
Efremov was right: the production was a great success, the main character was brilliant. However, in the same year, Tatyana went to the Mayakovsky Theater at the invitation of artistic director Andrei Goncharov. She quickly regained her position, and now the audience went “to Doronina” to another theater. Then she did not know yet that she would return to the Moscow Art Theater in 12 years, and the return would be truly triumphant.

“Old Actress for the Role of Dostoevsky’s Wife” (1988), Moscow Art Theater named after M. Gorky
In the late 1980s, several performances based on plays by Radzinsky were shown in the capital’s theaters at the same time. “The old actress for the role of Dostoevsky” is one of them. Roman Viktyuk took on her, inviting Tatyana Doronina to the main role. This heroine is still called one of the most interesting in her repertoire.
During her work, relations with the director developed the warmest, despite the fact that, according to Roman Grigorievich, during rehearsals he often brought her to such a state that she was “ready to kill someone”. Today he calls Doronina a great actress, says that she, like no one else, feels the mission of the theater.
“The old actress for the role of Dostoevsky’s wife” this year celebrates the anniversary – the performance has been preserved in the repertoire of the Moscow Art Theater for 30 years and has always been sold out.

“Vassa Zheleznova” (2003), Moscow Art Theater named after M. Gorky
“Vassa Zheleznova”, staging of the play of the same name by Maxim Gorky, appeared on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater in 2003. It is quite difficult to imagine someone other than Tatyana Doronina in the lead role. Who else, if not her, to play a woman with a strong character, considered the director Boris Shchedrin.
Before Doronina, the owner of the shipping company Vassa Zheleznova was played by Faina Ranevskaya, Vera Pashennaya, Serafima Birman.Doronina’s version turned out to be one of the most successful.
Vassa Zheleznova annually opens a new season at the Moscow Art Theater – this is a tradition. This year, it will be possible to see Tatyana Doronina in the role of Gorky’s “iron lady” on September 15th.
