The positive points

Accurate

It’s relatively easy to string up a good channel because of the pointy tip. The scoop is kind of bendy which might be as a result of the weight reduction modifications. When letting one rip, you might even feel a bit of flex. I found I had to really let it rip to feel it, but it’s there.

The ballstop would also be out of the way because while you run with the ball it tends to sit higher in the pocket. This will happen with any type of stringing. But hey, it’s trendy.

Hard for ground balls

Your angle of approach to a ground-ball with this particular lax head should be somewhat higher due to the lip at the back of the scoop. I found that the tip of the scoop raises off the surface as a result of lip on the back and especially when you are getting low down over the ball. Sometimes I found that I could hardly scoop the ball up when I was low over the ball and off line. Ground balls, specifically on turf, were sadly challenging to pick-up with this lacrosse head.

Straight line ground-balls were alright. However picking up ground balls going across my line I had some difficulty with. I found at times it took me a couple of attempts to scoop it up. This was mainly a problem on grass surfaces, since you need to get lower on turf because of the varied texture. Artificial pitches weren’t a problem. I noticed this with earlier Evo’s also..

Anycubic has tried to diversify its fleet of budget FDM 3D printers. This time we are talking about the Kobra model. How is this model different? This is what we will talk about in our review.

First acquaintance

Here comes our printer. It is packaged in a regular box. All parts of the equipment and components are neatly stacked and padded with soft packing foam for safety. It turns out that each has its own compartment.

There is nothing unusual in the configuration, everything is pretty standard.

Anycubic Kobra features quick assembly. As with Vyper, everything is as simple and intuitive as possible. The developers took into account the success of Vyper in this area and simply duplicated it on Kobra. It all comes down to securing the main frame, the spool holder screen. We are used to judging by appearance – image is everything. The Anycubic Kobra looks like a typical DIY printer, FDM of course. In general, the view can be called a classic. There are a few colored parts, most of them made of blue plastic in the colors of old transformers from classic cartoons.
