- Aggressive cleat pattern for optimal traction
- Cushioned midsole for comfort and shock absorption
- Reinforced toe box for durability
- Breathable mesh panels for ventilation
Performance Benefits of Burn X Cleats
How do Warrior Burn X cleats enhance player performance on the lacrosse field. These cleats are engineered to provide several key benefits:
- Improved speed and acceleration due to lightweight design
- Enhanced agility and cutting ability from responsive traction pattern
- Increased stability when planting and changing directions
- Reduced foot fatigue from cushioning and support features
- Better ball control and feel through thin, close-to-foot upper
The combination of these performance elements allows players to move more efficiently and effectively during games and practices. Many lacrosse athletes report feeling faster and more agile in Burn X cleats compared to other options.
Sizing and Fit of Warrior Burn X Cleats
Proper sizing is crucial for getting the most out of Warrior Burn X lacrosse cleats. How should players determine their ideal size. New Balance, the parent company of Warrior, provides a detailed size chart to help athletes find the right fit:
- Burn X cleats tend to run slightly small, so sizing up a half size is often recommended
- Sizes are listed in US men’s sizing
- Women should subtract 1.5 sizes from their normal shoe size
- The size chart provides corresponding EU sizes and foot length in centimeters
For the most accurate fit, it’s best to try on Burn X cleats in person if possible. The snug, responsive fit is a key part of the cleat’s performance, so finding the right size is important.
Cleat Design and Traction Pattern
The cleat configuration on the Warrior Burn X is strategically designed to provide multi-directional traction. What makes this traction pattern unique?
- Combination of conical and bladed cleats for versatile grip
- Aggressive forefoot cleats for acceleration and quick cuts
- Heel cleats positioned for braking and stability
- Cleat material optimized for both natural and artificial turf
This carefully engineered cleat layout allows players to maintain traction during rapid changes of direction, sprints, and sudden stops. The pattern aims to give athletes confidence in their footing in various game situations and field conditions.
Upper Construction and Materials
The upper portion of the Warrior Burn X cleats plays a big role in their performance and comfort. What materials and design elements are used in the upper construction?
- Synthetic leather and mesh combination for durability and breathability
- Reinforced toe box to protect against wear and impacts
- Padded collar for ankle support and comfort
- Breathable mesh panels to enhance ventilation
- Streamlined design to reduce weight and bulk
This upper construction aims to provide a close, sock-like fit while still offering protection and support where needed. The materials are chosen to be lightweight yet durable enough to withstand the demands of competitive lacrosse.
Midsole Technology and Cushioning
Comfort and responsiveness are key factors in the midsole design of Burn X cleats. What cushioning and support technologies are incorporated?
- REVlite foam midsole for lightweight cushioning
- Full-length cushioning for even pressure distribution
- Responsive feel for improved ground contact and energy return
- Arch support built into the midsole shape
The midsole aims to provide a balance of comfort for long practices and games while still maintaining a responsive feel for quick movements. This helps reduce foot fatigue without sacrificing the close-to-ground feel that many players prefer.

The Warrior Burn X line includes several different models to suit various player preferences. What are the main variations available?
- Burn X Low – Low-cut version for maximum agility
- Burn X Mid – Mid-cut for added ankle support
- Burn X 3 – Latest iteration with updated features

Each model maintains the core Burn X performance features while offering slight variations in cut height, closure system, or upper materials. This allows players to choose the version that best fits their playing style and comfort preferences.
Color Options and Customization

Some models also offer customization options where players can design their own color combinations. This personalization aspect adds to the appeal for many athletes who want their gear to stand out on the field.
Durability and Longevity
For the investment in high-performance cleats, durability is an important consideration. How long can players expect Burn X cleats to last?
- Reinforced high-wear areas like the toe box and heel
- Quality synthetic materials resist breakdown
- Stitched and bonded construction for improved durability
- Typical lifespan of 1-2 seasons with regular use
While individual results may vary based on usage and care, Burn X cleats are designed to withstand the rigors of competitive play. Proper care and maintenance, such as cleaning after use and allowing them to dry thoroughly, can help extend their lifespan.
Care and Maintenance Tips
To get the most out of Burn X cleats, players should follow these care recommendations:
- Clean mud and debris after each use
- Allow cleats to air dry naturally, avoiding direct heat
- Use a soft brush to clean the cleat plate
- Replace worn laces to maintain proper fit
- Store in a cool, dry place when not in use
Price Point and Value Proposition
Warrior Burn X cleats are positioned as a premium product in the lacrosse footwear market. How does their pricing compare to other options?
- Retail price typically ranges from $100-$130
- Often discounted during end-of-season sales
- Mid-range pricing compared to budget and ultra-premium options
- Value based on performance features and durability
While not the cheapest option available, many players find the performance benefits and durability of Burn X cleats justify the investment. The balance of features and price point makes them a popular choice for serious players at various levels of competition.
Comparison to Competitor Cleats
How do Warrior Burn X cleats stack up against similar offerings from other brands? While individual preferences vary, Burn X cleats are generally considered competitive with other top lacrosse cleat lines in terms of performance and quality. Some players prefer the fit and feel of Burn X cleats over other options, while others may favor different brands. It’s often recommended to try on multiple options to find the best fit for each player’s needs.
Player Reviews and Feedback
What do lacrosse players say about their experiences with Warrior Burn X cleats? Overall, reviews from athletes tend to be positive, with many praising the cleats for their comfort, traction, and lightweight feel. Some common points of feedback include:
- Excellent traction on various field surfaces
- Comfortable fit, especially after a short break-in period
- Lightweight design that doesn’t sacrifice durability
- Good value for the performance features offered
Of course, not all feedback is universally positive. Some players report issues with sizing or prefer other brands’ fit. As with any athletic footwear, personal preference plays a significant role in satisfaction.
Professional Player Endorsements
Several professional lacrosse players endorse and wear Warrior Burn X cleats, which adds to their credibility in the lacrosse community. While endorsements alone don’t guarantee performance, they do indicate that the cleats meet the standards of top-level players.
Availability and Purchasing Options
Where can players purchase Warrior Burn X lacrosse cleats? These cleats are widely available through various channels:
- Sporting goods retailers (both physical stores and online)
- Lacrosse specialty shops
- Online marketplaces like Amazon
- Direct from Warrior/New Balance website
Availability of specific models and colors may vary by retailer. Some stores offer the option to try on cleats in person, which can be helpful for determining the right size and fit.
Seasonal Releases and Updates
Warrior typically releases updated versions of the Burn X line on an annual or semi-annual basis. These updates may include minor tweaks to design elements or more significant changes to materials and technologies. Players interested in the latest features may want to watch for new releases, while those looking for deals might find discounts on previous models as new versions are introduced.
Burn X Cleats for Different Positions
While Burn X cleats are designed to perform well for all lacrosse positions, some features may be particularly beneficial for certain roles on the field. How do these cleats cater to different positional needs?
- Attackers: Lightweight design and aggressive forefoot traction for quick cuts and acceleration
- Midfielders: Versatile traction pattern for both offensive and defensive play
- Defenders: Stability features and heel support for planting and changing direction
- Goalies: Option for mid-cut version provides extra ankle support for lateral movements
The all-around performance characteristics of Burn X cleats make them suitable for players at any position, but individual preferences may lead some players to opt for position-specific cleats from other lines.
Youth vs. Adult Models
Warrior offers Burn X cleats in both youth and adult sizes to accommodate players of all ages. The youth models generally feature the same core technologies as the adult versions, scaled down for smaller feet. This allows younger players to benefit from the same performance features as their older counterparts.
Environmental and Ethical Considerations
As sustainability becomes a more significant concern in the sporting goods industry, how does Warrior address environmental and ethical considerations in the production of Burn X cleats?
- Use of some recycled materials in certain components
- Efforts to reduce waste in the manufacturing process
- Compliance with labor standards in production facilities
While not marketed primarily as an eco-friendly product, Warrior and parent company New Balance have made commitments to improving sustainability across their product lines. As consumer demand for environmentally responsible products grows, it’s likely that future iterations of Burn X cleats may incorporate more sustainable materials and practices.
Recycling and End-of-Life Considerations
When Burn X cleats reach the end of their usable life, what options are available for responsible disposal? While athletic shoes can be challenging to recycle due to their mixed materials, some programs exist for recycling or repurposing old cleats:
- Donation to youth sports programs for practice use
- Participation in shoe recycling programs where available
- Repurposing for non-athletic uses (e.g., gardening shoes)
Players concerned about the environmental impact of their gear may want to explore these options when it’s time to replace their cleats.

Caucasian Knot | A single picket in defense of Syrian Circassians takes place near the Foreign Ministry building in Moscow
Caucasian Knot | In Moscow, a solo picket in defense of Syrian Circassians takes place near the Foreign Ministry building
09 November 2012, 19:00
THIS MESSAGE (MATERIAL) IS CREATED AND/OR DISTRIBUTED BY A FOREIGN MASS MEDIA PERFORMING THE FUNCTIONS OF A FOREIGN AGENT AND/OR A RUSSIAN LEGAL OFFICE A PERSON PERFORMING THE FUNCTIONS OF A FOREIGN AGENT.
Ali Kunashev holds a solo picket in front of the building of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanding to stop the killing of Circassians in Syria. The action began at 15.00 and will continue until dark.
Kunashev stands with a banner that reads: “Stop the killing of Circassians in Syria” in Russian and English. “In this way I decided to express my position regarding the fact that peaceful Circassians are dying in Syria,” the participant of the action explained to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent. “I have been standing here alone since 15.00. It is raining. I have an umbrella in one hand, poster”.
Ali Kunashev, a programmer-developer, had previously expressed thoughts that it was necessary to raise his voice in defense of the Syrian Circassians, and the action of Tamerlan Urusov prompted the young man to repeat it.
“Ministry of Foreign Affairs employees came out to me, recorded my picket, recorded my data,” says the picketer. I’m not going to leave, they began to threaten with arrest for 15 days. Fortunately for me, at that moment patrol police officers approached me and asked about what was happening here. Their appearance saved me from the annoying society of Foreign Ministry employees.”
During a conversation with the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent, a passer-by approached the picketer and asked: “Who and why are killing the Circassians of Syria?” Kunashev said that in the territory of the Circassian villages located in Syria, government troops are fighting with the rebels, as a result of which civilians are dying. And he decided to “express his protest” with his action.
A passer-by recommended the picketer to go to the subway, where more people would learn about his action.
The “Caucasian Knot” has no comments from representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry regarding the picket.

Analysts called the risks of escalation of the military conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan
By violating the ceasefire, Baku is trying to force Yerevan to abandon its demand for security guarantees for the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, while Armenia is not ready to escalate the conflict, political analyst Hakob Badalyan and political scientist Armen Vardanyan said. Increased skirmishes at the border can lead to a large-scale war or a special operation of Azerbaijani troops in Karabakh, although Baku is not interested in going by force due to reputational risks, Mehman Aliyev and Togrul Juvarly emphasized.

445 years ago the army of the Crimean Khan Devlet I Giray burned Moscow
445 years ago, on June 3, 1571, the army of the Crimean Khan Devlet I Giray burned Moscow. What was the mistake of Ivan the Terrible, what fate awaited the captured Tatars, and who could be the traitor Kudeyar Tishenkov, says the science department of Gazeta.Ru.

May 30 13:18
In 1502, a common border arose between the Crimean Khanate and the Russian state – since that time, the Crimean Tatars began their numerous campaigns on the lands of the Grand Duchy of Moscow. After 31 years, Ivan IV came to the throne, who from childhood dreamed of defeating the insatiable Turkic people, headed at that time by Sahib I Gerai, the uncle of the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and the founder of the “city of five centuries” Bakhchisarai.
In 1551, after the assassination of Sahib I Gerai, his nephew Devlet I Gerai, known for his passion for military campaigns, became Khan of Crimea.
The newly minted Khan undertook his first campaign against the Russian kingdom already in 1552. Devlet decided to conquer Tula and stop the capture of Kazan by Ivan the Terrible. The Crimean Khan failed – his horde was completely defeated by the Russian troops, who soon took Kazan and thus took possession of the entire Middle Volga region. With the captured Crimean Tatars, the victors acted as follows: they were brought to Ivan the Terrible, and then, by order of the Tsar of All Rus’, they were thrown alive into the water.
Kudeyar-traitor
The Crimean Khan, who had to shamefully flee, promised to take revenge on the Russian state and in the next decade made continuous campaigns against Ryazan, Bolkhov, Astrakhan, Mtsensk. Sometimes the Tatars managed to burn the Russian territories and capture the soldiers of Ivan the Terrible, but this seemed to Devlet not enough: the leader of the Tatars dreamed that the Russian state would lose its independence, and the lands of Ivan the Terrible would be divided among the Crimean Murzas.
“They destroy each other by decrees”

28 May 11:17
In 1571, the Crimean Khan, having enlisted the support of the Ottoman Empire, as well as the Commonwealth formed two years earlier, gathered an army of many thousands and undertook his famous campaign against Moscow lands.
The Novgorod chronicle says that the number of the Tatar army reached 120 thousand people, however, according to modern historians, these data are greatly exaggerated.
There is a legend, according to which the traitor Kudeyar Tishenkov came to the aid of the Crimean Khan, showing the Tatars a secret passage to Moscow – the fords across the Oka. According to one version, Kudeyar was actually the brother of Ivan the Terrible, who secretly hated a close relative. According to another version, Kudeyar was a guardsman and served the Tsar of All Rus’.
“… but he wouldn’t be afraid of the Tatar forces”
The Tatars attacked the Russian state at a very “inconvenient” time for it: the Livonian War was just going on – a military conflict started by Ivan the Terrible for the sake of access to the Baltic Sea.
Accordingly, the main part of the troops was engaged in this war – according to various sources, Moscow was guarded by only 6 thousand warriors.
The campaign of the Crimean Tatars turned out to be a complete surprise for Ivan the Terrible: the leader of the Russian state complained that none of the zemstvo governors had warned him about the movements of the Crimean Khan. “Seven governors went ahead of me with many people, and they didn’t let me know about the Tatar army … but at least a thousand of my people were lost, and they would have brought me two Tatars, and I would have considered it a great deal, but the Tatar forces would not frightened, ”Ivan the Terrible was indignant. The king decided to leave Moscow and leave the army to resist the Tatars. The head of state fled to Rostov.
“Countless people burned down”
Approaching Moscow, Devlet did not storm and besiege the city, but only set fire to the unprotected suburbs. “On a clear day, with a strong wind at three o’clock, a fire destroyed the dry mass of wooden buildings, only the Kremlin survived; according to foreign news, up to 800 thousand troops and people died; admitting an exaggeration in the absence of a correct calculation, let us recall, however, that many people from the surrounding area fled to Moscow to bring news of the Tatars, that during the fire there was nowhere to run: the Tatars were in the field, they were not allowed into the Kremlin; most of all, they say, those who wanted to go through the gates farthest from the enemy died: here, having gathered in a huge crowd and interrupting each other’s way, they were so embarrassed at the gates and the streets adjacent to them that they walked in three rows over the heads of each at a friend’s, the upper ones crushed the lower ones, – wrote the historian Sergei Solovyov. – According to Russian news, countless people were burned; the metropolitan with the clergy sat in the cathedral church of the Assumption; the first boyar, Prince Ivan Dmitrievich Belsky, suffocated in his yard in a stone cellar, who will reread other princes, princesses, boyars and all sorts of people?
The Moskva River did not carry the dead: people were purposely sent to lower the corpses down the river; only those who had friends were buried.
“False Dmitry acted windily and recklessly”
On May 27, 1606, 410 years ago, an uprising against the Poles and the murder of False Dmitry I took place.
The fire prevented the Tatars from plundering in the suburbs; Khan did not dare to besiege the Kremlin and left with many prisoners – according to some reports, up to 150 thousand – having heard about the approach of a large Russian army.
“Our desire is Kazan and Astrakhan”
When Ivan the Terrible was returning to Moscow, in the village of Bratovshchina, on the Trinity road, they introduced him to the messengers of Devlet, who presented the tsar with such a letter from the khan: “I burn and waste everything because of Kazan and Astrakhan, and I apply the wealth of the whole world to dust, hoping for the majesty of God. I came to you, I burned your city, I wanted your crown and head; but you didn’t come and didn’t stand against us, and you still boast that I’m the sovereign of Moscow!
If you had shame and dignity, then you would come against us and stand.
If you want to be with us spiritual thought in friendship, then give away our yurts – Astrakhan and Kazan; and if you want to give us all-world wealth with treasury and money, it is unnecessary; our desire is Kazan and Astrakhan, and I have seen and recognized the states of your road.
Ivan the Terrible immediately made up an answer: “You write about the war in a letter, and if I start writing about the same, then we will not come to a good deed. If you are angry at your refusal to Kazan and Astrakhan, then we want to cede Astrakhan to you, only now this business cannot be soon: for it we must have your ambassadors, and it is impossible to make such a great cause messengers; Until then, you would have granted, given terms and did not fight our land.

May 15 13:22
“The terrible results of the Moscow fire were the result not only of the victory of the Crimean Khan and the military weakness of the oprichnina,” wrote Soviet historian Vladimir Kobrin. – Tsar Ivan was undoubtedly guilty of the fact that Moscow was poorly fortified. In fact, the city occupied an area approximately within the current Garden Ring, and only the Kremlin and the so-called Veliky Posad adjacent to it were protected by fortress walls.
If Moscow were surrounded entirely or at least in most of its part by a stone wall, there could not have been a fire.
However, over the more than three decades that have passed since the construction of Kitay-gorod, the construction of Moscow fortifications has not advanced a single step. Was it possible to build new stone walls? Undoubtedly.
