Why do you need padded volleyball arm sleeves. How do they protect your arms during intense gameplay. What are the best padded arm sleeves for volleyball players. Discover the top 5 options for maximum comfort and performance.
The Importance of Padded Arm Sleeves in Volleyball
Padded arm sleeves have become an essential piece of equipment for volleyball players at all levels. These sleeves offer a multitude of benefits that can significantly enhance an athlete’s performance and safety on the court. But why exactly are they so crucial?
Padded volleyball arm sleeves provide protection against impacts, abrasions, and burns that commonly occur during diving, sliding, and blocking. They act as a barrier between the player’s skin and the hard court surface, reducing the risk of injuries and allowing athletes to play more aggressively without fear of harm.
Beyond protection, these sleeves offer compression benefits that can improve blood circulation, reduce muscle fatigue, and potentially enhance recovery time. Many players also find that the added warmth and support provided by arm sleeves help maintain optimal muscle performance throughout long matches or training sessions.

Choosing the Right Padded Arm Sleeve for Your Volleyball Needs
With so many excellent options available, how can you determine which padded arm sleeve is best for you? Consider the following factors when making your decision:
- Your playing position and style
- The level of impact protection you require
- Your preference for compression and muscle support
- Any specific features you need (e.g., UV protection, anti-odor technology)
- Your budget and the sleeve’s durability
It’s also worth considering trying out different sleeves to find the one that feels most comfortable and natural during play. Many volleyball players keep multiple types of arm sleeves in their gear bag to suit different playing conditions or personal preferences on any given day.
Maximizing the Benefits of Your Padded Volleyball Arm Sleeves
Once you’ve chosen the perfect padded arm sleeves for your volleyball needs, how can you ensure you’re getting the most out of them? Here are some tips to maximize their benefits:
- Proper sizing: Ensure you choose the correct size for a snug but comfortable fit
- Consistent use: Wear your arm sleeves during practice to acclimate to the feel
- Maintenance: Follow care instructions to maintain the sleeve’s protective qualities
- Replacement: Replace your arm sleeves when they show signs of wear and tear
- Complementary gear: Consider pairing arm sleeves with knee pads for comprehensive protection
Remember that while padded arm sleeves offer excellent protection, they should not be relied upon as a substitute for proper technique and training. Continue to focus on developing your skills and conditioning to prevent injuries and improve your overall performance on the volleyball court.
The Future of Padded Arm Sleeves in Volleyball
As technology continues to advance, what can we expect from the next generation of padded volleyball arm sleeves? Several trends are emerging that could shape the future of this essential piece of equipment:
- Smart fabrics that adapt to body temperature and movement
- Customizable padding placement through 3D printing technology
- Integration with wearable tech for performance tracking
- Eco-friendly materials for sustainable production
- Enhanced antimicrobial properties for improved hygiene
These innovations could revolutionize how volleyball players protect their arms and optimize their performance on the court. As manufacturers continue to push the boundaries of design and materials science, athletes can look forward to even more effective and comfortable padded arm sleeves in the years to come.
Integrating Padded Arm Sleeves into Your Volleyball Training Regimen
To fully benefit from padded arm sleeves, it’s important to incorporate them into your regular training routine. How can you effectively use arm sleeves during practice and preparation?
- Wear sleeves during drills to simulate game conditions
- Use them during strength training to support muscles and joints
- Practice diving and sliding with sleeves to build confidence
- Experiment with different sleeve types for various training scenarios
- Include arm sleeves in your pre-game warm-up routine
By consistently using padded arm sleeves in training, you’ll not only protect yourself from potential injuries but also become more comfortable with how they feel during gameplay. This familiarity can lead to improved performance when it matters most – during competitive matches.
Balancing Protection and Natural Feel
While the protection offered by padded arm sleeves is invaluable, it’s crucial to find a balance between safety and maintaining a natural feel for the ball. Some players worry that arm sleeves might interfere with their touch or ball control. How can you address this concern?
Start by choosing arm sleeves with a snug fit that doesn’t bunch up or slide around during play. Look for options with strategically placed padding that protects vulnerable areas without covering the entire arm. Many top-tier sleeves, like those in our top 5 list, are designed with this balance in mind, offering protection where it’s needed most while maintaining flexibility and touch sensitivity in other areas.
Additionally, gradually increasing the duration you wear arm sleeves during practice can help you adjust to the feel. Over time, most players find that the sleeves become a natural extension of their arms, allowing them to play with confidence and without compromising their skill execution.

He said they are very comfy too,he’s a big boy so unless he really likes something or it’s a must he won’t keep things on or carry items unless he has to. They are lightweight, moisture wicking and seems to be made well. So far no complaints, great buy.”

“I use these for some Karate training I do and fits amazing. Comfortable and well ventilated. I keep it under my gi and helps with blocks from some people I train with who are super bony and hurt. “These champ pro forearm pads work great for my son who is seven years old and weighs around 80 pounds I ordered him a youth small. It fits perfectly, it’s a low profile design, not bulky at all..I strongly recommended this product it gets the job done and my son not getting anymore bruises on his forearm great product I strongly strongly strongly recommend it. I will Definitely order him a bigger size After he outgrows these.”
“My daughter is 11 years old. The circumference of the largest part of her forearm is 9inches. The length of her forearm from her elbow to her wrist is 8 inches. The Champro size large is slightly big on her. Not so big that she can’t use it. It slides on really easy. I think we’re going to use this one. Remember people, if it fits snug and perfectly, you’ll have a hard time putting it on when the arm is sweating.”
“bought a medium for my larger 7yr daughter and they fit her like a glove, they come 2 to a package, and are thin enough she didn’t sweat under them and the padding is thick enough she didn’t have a bruise when then ball hit her arm, however, she is no longer catcher so she no longer has a use for them.”

“This is my second set of MudGear padded sleeves. I believe when you find a great product, you buy it while it is affordable. These sleeves are tough and well made, I expect to have them for quite a while but when they do go down as all well used gear does, I will have spares!!”
“I like to use my padded sleeves for more than just OCR events, I also use them in the gym while training hard for the next event. The sleeves give added protection while working out, and especially when doing planks resting on the elbows!!! In addition, they keep my arms warm and compressed with lifting weights. I for one will be gland when MudGear comes out with knee pads made like these.”
“These are arm savers when on rugged trails where slips and narrow passage through rock openings expose the arms to a lot of punishment. No problems with overheating and great additional insulation in winter where constant clothing adjustments are needed to regulate sweating from exertion.”

Compression, Explosivity and Recovery
As it turns out, there is evidence that wearing compression gear helps muscles explode more powerfully. When the muscle fibers are condensed, they tend to fire off more rapidly. This increase in explosivity is fairly minor but it can still help your game! It can make your hands just a tiny bit faster to get that steal, snap off that pass, or add just a little bit of range to your deep jump shots.
Another study showed that compression garments accelerate recovery. That means you can play more ball throughout the week and month – and who doesn’t want to do that?
Aside from the science, I can tell you from my personal experience that compression sleeves really help when I have a sore elbow (too much bench pressing…) and give me the confidence to shoot three-pointers without screwing up my technique. Maybe it’s the placebo effect, but I don’t care as long as it works!
How to Choose The Best Arm Sleeve
There are a few different concerns you need to address when choosing compression arm sleeves for basketball. First and foremost, you need to ask yourself about functionality. The second concern is cleanliness since arm sleeves are going to experience quite a lot of sweat. Another thing you might care about is looks. Some people really get an emotional boost when looking good on the court while others could care less about how they look so long as they perform.
Functionality
Performance concerns include the fabric that the arm sleeve is made out of. Certain fabrics breathe better than others, but the non-breathable fabrics heat up your arm to keep it loose for a longer period. You also have to question the mobility of the fabric itself. Some compression sleeves are very restrictive while others are a little bit loose. You have to choose the right arm sleeve for your game.
Cleanliness
One of the biggest concerns when it comes to compression arm sleeves for basketball is cleanliness. You’re going to sweat into your arm sleeve and you’re going to rub up against other sweaty guys on the court. That can make the arm sleeve as smelly as a varsity locker room, but some fabrics resist this bacterially-driven scent.
Looks
And then there’s looks. Some arm sleeves come with crazy prints that look like camouflage for a paintball arena. And then, of course, there’s the classic black for those who don’t want to stand out. The looks of the arm sleeve are completely up to you, but some basketball leagues may not allow you to play with particularly loud colors.
Do not forget that performance is king. When it comes to choosing your compression arm sleeve, cleanliness and looks should take a backseat to any performance gains you might receive. You can always run your arm sleeve through the laundry or wash it by hand in the sink. And you always look good winning on the court no matter what your arm sleeve looks like.
Let’s take a closer look at some popular elbow sleeves:
Best Arm Sleeves for Basketball Players
McDavid is very popular among serious basketball players and known for protective gear like ankle braces, compression pants and knee braces. This shooter sleeve is sold individually, so make sure to order two if you need protection for both arms.
It is made out of 80% nylon and 20% spandex. These materials tend to be very tight and provide great compression, they also store heat very well and keep your arms warm and loose. If you are suffering from tendonitis or other chronic pain in your elbows then this is a great choice! It is also a good outdoor option as it is 100% UV protective.
The design of the sleeve is simple with a McDavid logo near the wrist and the option to choose from five different colors. All things considered, this is a no-thrills, affordable, and effective arm sleeve.
This shooter sleeve is made from Under Amour’s trademarked HeatGear material which is designed to keep you cool during any workout or competition. The sweat-wicking material also provides UPF 30+ sun protection which makes it perfect for outdoor games during hot summer days!
Pick the correct size then this arm sleeve will cover your arms from wrist to armpits and provide consistent compression. Like most arm sleeves, this product also ships individually.
If you are looking for something to keep you warm during winter or in cold gyms then this is not the right arm sleeve. But if you tend to sweat a lot and you need compression gear that keeps you cool then the Under Armour Shooter Sleeve is the perfect choice!
At first, this arm sleeve seems to be a lot more expensive than the other options in this article, but there is a simple reason for it: the Nike Pro Combat Elite Sleeve ships in pairs while the other ones ship individually!
The Men’s Nike Pro Combat Elite Sleeve is the first option on this list to come with a print. A line of blocks descends down the bicep and a straight black line is drawn across the forearm until it comes to the familiar Nike swoosh at the wrist. You’ll probably know the design from the popular Nike Elite basketball socks. If you are a fashion-conscious basketball player and you want a good-looking elbow sleeve that fits the rest of your outfit, then this is the pick for you!
This sleeve also features moisture-wicking technology. This type of fabric can prevent sweat from rolling down your wrist and on to your shooting hand. It keeps your hand dry which may actually improve accuracy. It also keeps your arms from becoming slippery where you can literally slide off your opponent. Consider ordering this elbow sleeve a size small as it tends to run big.
This is essentially the same arm sleeve as the other McDavid arm sleeve reviewed above. It is affordable, comes in only flat colors, and is made of 80% nylon and 20% spandex. But there is one key difference that I must recommend — it comes with a cushioned elbow.
I really like this addition as it gives me this “invincible” feeling that makes me drive harder to the hoop than I usually do. And I am not the only one who likes the McDavid 6500 – NBA players like Harrison Barnes or John Wall are swearing by it too!
John Wall and Harrison Barnes wearing padded shooter sleeves
The hex pattern on the elbow allows for maximum range of motion. The weight of the padding isn’t even noticeable and should not affect your shot. But the padding is there to reduce the impact of any falls you may have on the court. This is especially helpful out on asphalt courts. If you are wearing an arm sleeve for recovery so that you can play more basketball during your lifetime then this may be the sleeve for you. It reduces those bangs and bumps that everyone experiences when playing at full speed.
Added bonus — you don’t have to worry about knocking anybody’s teeth out.
Conclusion
There really is no wrong way to go when choosing an arm sleeve. Some of the arm sleeves lend themselves to warmer weather by keeping your arm cool. Other arm sleeves heat your arm up quickly which may be good for older players or basketball played in the cold. But each of these sleeves will compress your arm effectively to increase explosivity and reduce the amount of time you need to recover between games.
Overall, I recommend the
McDavid 6500 Padded Shooter Sleeve
– it’s the most popular shooter sleeve among basketball players as it is affordable, looks good, and provides additional padding at the elbows. If it’s good enough for NBA players, it should work for you too!

When we think of technological improvement, we tend to think of shiny electronic devices, electric cars, Mars rovers. Fair enough. But in the past two decades, athletic clothing has undergone a massive technological upgrade.
Consider swimwear. The LZR Racer line of competitive swimsuits, made of a woven elastane-nylon and polyurethane fabric, were demonstrated to shave seconds off of the lap times of top swimmers. By the 2008 Beijing Olympics, fully 94% of all gold medal winners wore their suits, and 98% of medalists. Critics complained that the performance improvements of this clothing technology were so great that they constituted “technical doping,” and should be banned.
RELATED: Best New Athletic Clothing
Now, granted that most of us aren’t Olympic-caliber athletes, we can still benefit from wearing the right clothing, and all of the millions upon millions of dollars of research and development that were spent perfecting the clothing of elite athletes has gradually made its way into the athletic wear available to us, the common men and women who compete for fun.
One of the main categories of this technology is compression clothing, which comes in a variety of shapes, sizes and purposes, all of which can help improve your athletic performance, protect your body from injury, and keep you dry through even the sweatiest of workouts.
Here are some of the main benefits:
Promotes Blood Flow and Prevent Muscle Injury
Whatever the fabric composition, compression clothing is tight, and it’s designed to be tight. That’s not an accident: tight clothing keeps you warm, promotes blood flow, and protects your muscles from excess strain when you’re doing fast-paced, high-exertion movements (ie anything athletic).
You might associate athletes with free-flowing, loose-fitting jerseys, but those are largely decorative at this point: beneath the hockey player’s jersey, beneath the NBA player’s uniform, there’s a compression top at work keeping his body protected.
Wicks Away Sweat and Keeps Skin Dry
Sweat is natural. It’s how your body cools itself down, and the process of sweating actually removes a lot of toxins from your body. But when you sweat on regular clothing, bad things happen. Those shirts and shorts hold the water, becoming heavier, and heavy clothing is the enemy of speed and top performance.
What’s worse, that heavy, sweaty clothing then clings to your skin, rubbing and irritating and chafing it, causing rashes, acne, or skin abrasions. Compression clothing is moisture-wicking by design, which not only keeps your clothing light but also spares your skin the discomfort of repeated irritation.
If you find yourself prone to rashes or other skin irritations, or if you’re a long-distance runner accustomed to the dreaded “bleeding nipple” phenomenon, the right compression clothing can do wonders for you.
Reduces Muscle Soreness
One of the big, unsung benefits of compression clothing is that it actually reduces muscle soreness, both during your workout and afterwards. In a frequently-cited study conducted by the Journal of Exercise Rehabilitation, compression clothing was found to be “an effective way to reduce DOMS (delayed-onset muscle soreness) and accelerate the recovery of muscle function.
But you don’t have to take our word for it. Just take a look at college and professional sports, where the adoption of compression gear – from esoteric options like arm sleeves in basketball to more common stuff like compression shirts worn underneath protective padding in football – is almost total.
The right clothes can protect your body, increase your comfort and improve your athletic performance. Here are some of our favorite choices, for a variety of purposes:

No one can blame them, the game is super addictive, but it’s not really fun to play when you’re suffering from tennis elbow, arthritis, or tendinitis. If you have a history with any of those conditions or you constantly feel a general soreness after you play, you should definitely consider wearing arm sleeves.
Of course, the godfather of the basketball arm sleeve is Allen Iverson. If you are here for our basketball arm sleeve picks take a look at the table below. We have much more detail about each of them further down in the article:

There’s a wide range of arm sleeves on the market and it can be quite hard to find the right ones for you. No worries, we’ve got you covered. In this article, we’ll present our top picks for the best arm sleeves available today, so stick around.
McDavid 6500 Hex Padded Arm Sleeve
It comes as no surprise that a McDavid product would be at the top of our list. Their sleeves are just that good. The McDavid 6500 is one of the highest-rated arm sleeves on the market and it’s extremely popular among professional basketball players. The design is fairly simple and you’re given the option to choose from 5 different colors.
This sleeve is comprised of 80% nylon and 20% spandex, which allows for great comfort and an ideal level of compression. The sleeve features a 9mm-thick Hex Technology elbow pad and it’s equipped with the Hydrovent Moisture Management Technology, which sucks away the moisture from the skin to keep your arms dry and cool.
Another great thing about this sleeve is that it’s relatively longer than a lot of its competitors. The added length helps maintain warmth throughout the arm and not just around the elbow. The arm sleeve is designed to fit both arms and it’s easily washable and dryable. This sleeve should help extend your basketball career for many years to come.
Pros:
- Keeps your skin dry and cool
- Features a built-in elbow pad
- Easily washable and dryable
- Available in a range of colors
Cons:
- Package includes one sleeve
- Not designed for slender arms
Under Armour Men’s Shooter Arm Sleeve
Under Armour is a trademark name when it comes to sports equipment, and it’s a name that has always stood for reliability and high quality. Under Armour’s very own HeatGear fabric is used to make this arm sleeve. It helps keep it extremely cool while you’re exerting serious effort. It’s also comprised of 80% polyester and 20% spandex, which seems to be a standard for all brands.
The HeatGear material also provides UPF 30+ protection against harmful sun rays, making it an ideal sleeve for outdoor play. One of the best things about this sleeve is that it’s extra long. This allows it to cover an entire arm and help keep it warm when playing in colder climates. Pick your ideal size in order to get consistent compression out of the sleeve. Don’t go bigger or smaller.
Pros:
- Keeps your entire arm covered and cool
- Offers protection against harmful sun rays
- Features a four-way stretch construction
- It’s machine-washable and easily dryable
Cons:
- The package only offers a single sleeve
- Doesn’t provide a good fit for small arms
Bucwild Sports Compression Arm Sleeve
The Bucwild Sports Compression Arm Sleeves are the best-selling arm sleeves on Amazon as we speak. They’re featured in an incredibly vast range of color combinations with a digital camo appearance. Not only that, but they’re also available in a wide range of sizes for both youth and adults, namely small, medium, and large.
Before you invest your money, you should know that the largest supported bicep that the sleeve can offer for adults is 17 inches and the smallest is 10 inches. For youth, 9 inches is the largest and 6 inches is the smallest. Similar to a lot of sleeves on the market, it’s made from a combination of materials, namely 80% polyester and 20% spandex.
Around the top and bottom of each Bucwild sleeve, you can find a silicone band which ensures that it stays intact, so you don’t have to worry about it slipping with excessive movement. It also comes with moisture-wicking technology that helps keep your arm cool throughout the game. In addition, it has built-in UV protection, so you can play in the sun longer.
Pros:
- Stylish and colorful camo design
- Offers protection against UV light
- The silicon band prevents sliding
- Has moisture-wicking technology
Cons:
- XL sizes for adults aren’t available
- No elbow support or extra padding
B-Driven Sports Pro-Fit Sports Arm Sleeve
The Pro-Fit Athletic Sports Arm Sleeve from B-Driven Sports looks very similar to the Bucwild arm sleeve, but it boasts different technology. The sleeve is available in a wide range of colors and prints that you can pick from. This arm sleeve features UV protection and it’s made from an anti-bacterial, moisture-wicking fabric, which will keep your arm dry and minimize odors.
It’s made completely out of polyester, which is something we’re not quite fond of since it doesn’t offer the stretchiness that the spandex has to offer. But on the flip side, this construction makes it extremely durable. In addition, it features flatlock seam stitching which enhances its durability even more. The sleeve features the Silicone Endura Band which prevents it from slipping.
Pros:
- It keeps your arm dry and odorless
- Provides protection from UV sunlight
- Available in various colors and prints
- The construction is extremely durable
Cons:
- The band can be too tight for big arms
- The package only offers a single sleeve
Kunto Fitness Compression Support Sleeve
The Kunto Fitness Compression Support Sleeve is one of the best arm sleeves when it comes to applying even pressure across your elbow. It’s a lot shorter than the products above because it’s meant to focus on that specific area only. While the above-mentioned products help prevent soreness and injury, this sleeve is designed for those who already suffer from such conditions.
The construction of this arm sleeve provides comfort, support, and relief without constricting the movement of your arm. The fabric is highly breathable and form-fitting, maintaining joint stability and keeping your arm cool and dry. The four-way stretch material is very flexible and grants this arm sleeve great durability. This sleeve is ideal for all sorts of sports, not just basketball.
The Kunto arm sleeve features a no-slip grip for increased stability and it’s featured in 4 different sizes, ranging from extra small to large. The best thing about this sleeve is that it’s backed by an awesome warranty that ensures customer satisfaction, meaning that if there’s something wrong with the sleeve, you’ll either get a replacement or get your money back.
Pros:
- Specifically designed to protect the elbows
- Extremely flexible and durable construction
- Features a no-slip grip for enhanced stability
- Backed by a solid manufacturer’s warranty
Cons:
- One of the more expensive sleeves on our list
- Doesn’t provide full-length coverage for the arm
Things to Consider Before Buying Basketball Arm Sleeves
1. Design
- You need to buy arm sleeves that look stylish and that you feel confident when you’re wearing them. Basketball is a spectator sport, so it’s not just about playing at your full potential, you also need to look cool when you’re shooting your jump shots.
2. Fit
- The sleeve should fit snugly to your arm without being too constricting. You need to measure your biceps first and then make your purchase accordingly.
3. Compression
- This is the main reason you’re buying arm sleeves in the first place. You need to find a sleeve that offers enough compression without being too tight.
4. Intactness
- Finding a sleeve that fits the size of your arm is easy, but not all sleeves will remain in place while you’re constantly moving. You need to look for sleeves that feature silicone or some sort of bands at the top and bottom to help keep it in place.
5. UV Protection
- It’s crucial to buy an arm sleeve that will protect your arm from harmful sun rays when playing outside in the scorching heat.
6. Wicking
- You’re bound to sweat a lot when exerting effort and that can be annoying. It’s important to buy arm sleeves that can wick away moisture and keep your arms dry.
7. Elbow Padding
- Not all arm sleeves have this feature. But if you’re suffering from any painful condition in your elbows, it becomes imperative to buy a sleeve that does.
8. Washable
- Depending on the fabric that it’s made from, you’ll either have to hand wash or machine wash your arm sleeve. There are special fabrics that need hand washing and can be damaged by machine washing.
Conclusion
All of the above-mentioned basketball arm sleeves are highly efficient, but each one has its own pros and cons, so you need to figure out what you need and what you can do without. If we were to pick a winner, the McDavid 6500 Hex Padded Arm Sleeve would definitely win because it features a lot more than the rest of the pack and it comes at a more affordable price tag.

New Compression Sleeves: Auburn Football
College football is finally back in full force. The first week of games were great for a fan’s standpoint, but not so for the SEC and the seven conference teams that lost their opening game. Even with Auburn’s loss to Clemson, there’s a lot to discuss, most of which you can find on other sites across the web. Here at the AUD, there’s a few aesthetic-related items to discuss, like always. But there’s one piece of equipment that caught my attention more than anything else – the arm compression sleeves.
Before we dive into Saturday’s game, the history of the football team’s sleeves. They actually started out on the basketball court. The beginning of the 2013-14 basketball season saw even more additions of the Northwestern Stripe to Auburn’s uniform, something that Under Armour is still in love with. The basketball team trotted out in the Auburn Arena sporting new striped socks, and a few guys wearing new shooting sleeves that were striped around the back of the elbow. Sadly, these were only worn for a few games and never seen since on the hardwood. I briefly spoke with Chris Denson after a game asking about the sleeves, and he simply stated that the football team liked them so much that they took them all.
Kris Frost was one of the few players to first sport the striped arm sleeves in 2013 (photo via Thomas B. Shea / Getty Images)
Flash forward to the 2013 game at Texas A&M. Auburn, then ranked #24, traveled to College Station to face the #7 ranked Aggies and Johnny Manziel. The Tigers came out on top to begin the run to the National Championship Game that season. Outside of the play on the field and the result, this game marked the first time Auburn had sported specially designed arm sleeves, with these having a stripe similar to the pants.
The arm sleeves disappeared for a few weeks following the return from Texas. It wasn’t until the Alabama game, six weeks later, that sleeves returned. This time they were the same elbow-striped sleeves from the basketball team. We all know how that game went, and the sleeves were here to stay.
Through the final three games of the 2013 season, Auburn wore the arm sleeves in all three colors – orange versus Alabama, blue versus Missouri, and white against Florida State.
For the 2014 season, the sleeves came and went and became more of a personal accessory for the players. This year’s rendition were more of a compression sleeve and less of a padded shooting sleeve like the year before. The stripes also fell from the elbow down to the forearm. QB Nick Marshall loved these sleeves, and wore one nearly every game after he first wore one in the 2013 Iron Bowl. Marshall wore the white striped sleeve for the first four games of the season, switching to a plain orange sleeve for the LSU game.
The 2015 season saw a lot of changes for Auburn’s uniforms. A new template and metallic helmet details were the biggest changes. To help keep the uniformity among the players, the team adopted a new base layer system, keeping every item and every player looking similar from head to toe. Even with this, the striped sleeves didn’t go away completely. They came and went game-in and game-out, depending on the designated base layer color and, of course, player preferences.
Now comes the opening game of the 2016 season. Not many players wore sleeves, but the few that did wore a completely new design. QB John Franklin III, who wore the elbow striped sleeves extensively in practice, was one of the few sporting the new vertical stripes sleeves.

I don’t hate the vertical stripes, but it feels inferior to the elbow stripes. I would expect to see these sleeves, of course in all three colors, used throughout the rest of the year. It might get a little cluttered if the old elbow sleeves get mixed in to a few games along the way.

I got this product a few days ago and I do track it’s great. It makes me feel completely different and a lot better. Ay underarmour sponsor mee
Good product, but sometimes edges fray if you’re not careful while washing.
As others have mentioned, these fit well and stay up. Note that you need to order (2) if you want a set. I originally ordered one, thinking I was getting a pair.
Allot of running races start early. These sleeves are good to wear at the beginning of the race to take the chill off. Then you can stuff them in you belt or hydration pack after you warm up.

how to connect a sleeve with a lining
Technology of processing a sleeve with a lining in coats and jackets is a sequence of four conventional stages:
1. processing of the top of the sleeve. Manufacturing of splines, if there is one according to the model. WTO (wet heat treatment).
2. processing of the lining
3. Joining the sleeve with the lining
4. Sewing in the sleeve.
In this master class, we will consider the third stage –
processing of double-seam sleeves and their connection to the product.
I will show you a rational option for processing the sleeve before stitching. Of course, this method is not the only possible and not academic. But it is convenient for me to combine the lining with the top of the sleeve of the coat and jacket just like that!
Such a sequence of sleeve processing is convenient when a closed or classic open slot is provided in the sleeve.
- Stitch the elbows of the upper part of the sleeve. Process the bottom of the sleeve with a slot and connect the bottom of the lining and sleeves. This stage is described in detail in the master class of the slot of the sleeve of a jacket and coat
The fact is that the slot of the sleeve is a rather complex knot, which is easier to perform with open front cuts of the sleeve. - The front sections of the sleeve and pad are open.
Align the liner with the sleeve, fold in and pin a 1 cm pleat on the liner for freedom of movement. The lining should be 1 cm longer than the top of the sleeve along the edge of the ridge. - Fold the right sides inward and chop off the front cuts of the sleeve and pad. Carefully align the bottom line marks of both slices.
- Sew about 10 cm from bottom line in both directions. So it is more convenient to make the bottom of the sleeve fluff.
- Press ironed out section.
- Sew the bottom of the sleeve with oblique stitches and sew fluff on the wrong side (blind light goat stitches). A fluff is a good technique for fixing the bottom of sleeves, jackets, coats and outer garments.
- Pins and stitch the front sections of the sleeve and lining to the top.
Press open the sleeve allowances. Neaten the lining allowances if the fabric is very loose. - Sweep a 1 cm wide fold along the bottom of the lining.
- Turn the sleeve to the front side, align the lining with the top of the sleeve. Secure lining and sleeve with slanting sweeping stitches. If necessary, in a jacket, and in a coat, it is obligatory to make manual bartacks of the lining and sleeve allowances.
The sleeve is connected to the backing and is ready to be sewn in. Remove auxiliary stitches at the last step.
In the case when the sleeve does not have a slot, it is worth connecting it in the classical way, which is less time consuming.
Jacket sleeve lining
Bespoke sleeve lining is always hand-sewn along the armhole. Using the Thom Browne jacket as an example, let’s look at one of the ways. Important! The jacket must be completely sewn and fitted on the lining, the armholes of the jacket and the lining must be joined with a machine stitch. Only after that you can start stitching the sleeves into the armhole using the technology below. |
Sew and iron the elbow seam of the sleeve. We carry out hemming of the bottom and the slot – read about this in detail in the article “Step” on the sleeve of the jacket.
Trim the sleeve lining with the following adjustments relative to the main fabric sleeve.
We remove 1-2 cm along the top of the ridge, and at the bottom of the armhole, in the place of the unsewn seam, add 1.5 cm so that the future seam of the lining does not rest against the armhole of the jacket, but bends around it. Add 1-2 cm at the bottom at the elbow seam and 3-4 cm for the lining and seam allowance.
These increases are needed so that the sleeve sewn into the armhole is not pulled by the lining.
Sew the lining to the hem of the lower edge of the sleeve.
Fold back the sleeve lining and iron the seam. Bend the edge of the lining to the wrong side by the amount of the seam allowance and sweep it.
Sew the open seam of the sleeve and lining with one seam and iron it.
Bend the allowance of the lining in the lower part of the dowel onto the sleeve, checking the sufficiency of the allowance. This is how the sleeve should look before being sewn into the armhole.
We put the lining in the sleeve. We sew the sleeve of the jacket into the armhole according to the alignment marks, without grabbing the sleeve lining. According to the sleeve pattern, we cut the padding polyester pad.
Sew the slide to the sleeve edge without grabbing the sleeve lining. We straighten the sleeve lining and apply it to the stitching line of the sleeve so that the edge of the lining overlaps the stitch by 1 mm.
Sew the lining by hand with a small blind stitch to the armhole of the jacket. Remove the basting. Everything! The sleeve lining is sewn on, the jacket is ready.

General characteristics of armor and clothing in Cyberpunk 2077
The main purpose of the equipment is to improve the protection of the protagonist. The basic characteristic of the item reduces the damage received by the character during battles with opponents.
The characteristics of armor for each type of equipment depend on the following factors:
- part of the body where clothes are inserted;
- hidden variable level (increases as the protagonist is pumping).
Some items of equipment receive an armor indicator tied to the level of the character at the time of his raising . That is, you lift the jacket or pants at the first level and see some characteristics, and when you take the same item, but at a higher level, its parameters will be different.
In addition to random loot and rewards for completing missions, equipment can be obtained by crafting. The quality of the created armor depends on the level of the craft, the availability of the necessary perks and blueprints.
Please note: clothing characteristics do not depend on their rarity. Rarity only affects the number of slots for installing mods.
