- Available sizes: S, M, L, XL, 2XL
- Color: White (focus of this article)

- Moisture-wicking fabric
- Four-way stretch for unrestricted movement
The combination of nylon and spandex creates a durable, flexible, and form-fitting garment that provides optimal support during various activities. The white color offers a clean, professional look that can be easily paired with other workout gear.
Benefits of Wearing Compression Pants During Exercise
Compression pants offer numerous advantages for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. Here are some of the key benefits:
- Enhanced muscle efficiency
- Faster recovery time
- Improved blood circulation
- Reduced muscle fatigue
- Better temperature regulation
- Decreased risk of muscle strain
Do compression pants really make a difference in athletic performance? Research suggests that the targeted pressure applied by compression garments can indeed improve muscle efficiency and reduce fatigue during exercise. This can lead to better overall performance and faster recovery times post-workout.

Starter compression pants are not limited to just gym use. Their versatility makes them suitable for various activities and situations:
- High-intensity workouts
- Running and jogging
- Yoga and Pilates
- Team sports
- Long-distance travel
- Cold weather activities
Can compression pants be worn for extended periods? While compression pants are designed for athletic use, many people find them comfortable for everyday wear or during long flights. The compression technology can help prevent circulation issues associated with prolonged sitting, making them an excellent choice for travelers.

Are there any drawbacks to the white color option? Some users have noted that the white compression pants may be slightly see-through, especially during certain exercises like squats. This is a common issue with white athletic wear and may be a consideration for those seeking maximum opacity.
Comparing Starter Compression Pants to Other Brands
How do Starter compression pants stack up against other popular brands? Many users who have tried various brands, including Under Armour, Nike, Reebok, and Champion, have found Starter compression pants to be superior in quality and performance.
One reviewer commented, “I’ve tried many various brands, but I have FINALLY found my compression gear brand! CompressionZ is by far the best quality I’ve tried. It fits great and feels great. The quality is unmatched!”
While individual preferences may vary, Starter compression pants consistently receive high marks for their combination of quality, performance, and value.
Key Comparisons:
- Material quality and durability
- Compression effectiveness
- Range of sizes and colors

Caring for Your Starter Compression Pants
To ensure the longevity and performance of your Starter compression pants, proper care is essential. Here are some tips for maintaining your compression wear:
- Wash in cold water to preserve elasticity
- Use a gentle, sports-specific detergent
- Avoid fabric softeners, which can degrade the compression properties
- Air dry or tumble dry on low heat
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
How often should compression pants be replaced? With proper care, high-quality compression pants like those from Starter can last for several years. However, if you notice a significant loss of elasticity or compression, it may be time to invest in a new pair.
Maximizing the Benefits of Your Compression Pants
To get the most out of your Starter compression pants, consider the following tips:
- Wear them during warm-ups to increase muscle temperature
- Use them for high-intensity workouts to reduce muscle oscillation
- Keep them on post-workout to aid in recovery
- Layer them under shorts or looser pants in cold weather
- Pair with compression tops for full-body benefits
Is it beneficial to wear compression pants all day? While some people find all-day wear comfortable, it’s generally recommended to give your skin regular breaks from compression wear, especially if you’re not engaging in physical activity.
The Science Behind Compression Wear
Compression technology in athletic wear is based on scientific principles related to blood flow and muscle function. Here’s a brief overview of how compression pants work:
- Increased blood circulation: The pressure applied by compression pants helps push blood back to the heart more efficiently.
- Reduced muscle vibration: Compression limits muscle oscillation during high-impact activities, potentially reducing muscle fatigue and damage.
- Improved proprioception: The tight fit of compression pants can enhance awareness of body position and movement.
- Thermoregulation: Compression fabrics often incorporate moisture-wicking properties to help regulate body temperature.
Do these scientific claims hold up in real-world applications? While individual results may vary, numerous studies have shown positive effects of compression wear on athletic performance and recovery, supporting the anecdotal evidence provided by many users of Starter compression pants.
Research Findings:
- Reduced muscle soreness post-exercise
- Improved endurance in long-distance activities
- Enhanced power output in explosive movements
- Faster recovery of strength and power after intense workouts
Choosing the Right Size and Fit
Proper sizing is crucial for compression pants to function effectively. Starter offers a range of sizes from S to 2XL, ensuring a good fit for most body types. Here are some tips for selecting the right size:
- Measure your waist and inseam accurately
- Consult the Starter size chart for specific measurements
- Consider your body shape and personal comfort preferences
- Remember that compression wear should feel snug but not restrictive
Should compression pants feel tight? Yes, compression pants should feel snug against your skin, but they shouldn’t be so tight that they restrict movement or cause discomfort. If you’re between sizes, it’s often better to size up for a more comfortable fit.
Incorporating Starter Compression Pants into Your Fitness Routine
Integrating Starter compression pants into your workout regimen can enhance your overall fitness experience. Here are some ways to make the most of your compression wear:
- Use them for high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to reduce muscle fatigue
- Wear them during strength training sessions for improved muscle support
- Incorporate them into your running routine for better endurance
- Utilize them in recovery sessions or yoga practices for enhanced blood flow
- Wear them under uniforms or gear for team sports
Can compression pants improve athletic performance in all sports? While compression wear can benefit many activities, its effectiveness may vary depending on the specific sport and individual physiology. Some athletes may notice more significant improvements than others, but many find that compression pants enhance their overall comfort and performance across various activities.
Sport-Specific Benefits:
- Running: Reduced muscle oscillation and improved endurance
- Weightlifting: Enhanced muscle support and power output
- Basketball: Improved jump performance and recovery between plays
- Soccer: Better proprioception and reduced muscle fatigue
- Yoga: Increased flexibility and body awareness
The Future of Compression Wear Technology
As sports science and textile technology continue to advance, the future of compression wear looks promising. Innovations in fabric composition, targeted compression zones, and smart textiles are likely to further enhance the benefits of products like Starter compression pants.
What can we expect from future compression wear? Some potential developments include:
- Biometric sensors integrated into the fabric for real-time performance tracking
- Advanced thermoregulation properties for optimal temperature control
- Customizable compression levels to suit individual needs and preferences
- Eco-friendly materials that maintain high performance standards
- Enhanced antimicrobial properties for improved hygiene during extended wear
As these technologies evolve, compression pants may become even more integral to athletic performance and recovery strategies.
Addressing Common Concerns About Compression Wear
Despite the popularity of compression pants, some individuals may have concerns or misconceptions about their use. Let’s address some common questions:
Are compression pants safe for extended wear?
For most people, wearing compression pants for several hours during exercise or recovery is safe. However, it’s essential to listen to your body and give your skin regular breaks from compression. If you experience any discomfort or skin irritation, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
Can compression pants help with muscle soreness?
Many users report reduced muscle soreness when wearing compression pants during and after workouts. The improved blood circulation and reduced muscle oscillation may contribute to faster recovery and less post-exercise discomfort.
Are white compression pants practical for all activities?
While white compression pants offer a clean, stylish look, they may show sweat more readily than darker colors. Additionally, as some users have noted, white fabric can be slightly more see-through. Consider the specific activities and environments in which you’ll be wearing the pants when deciding on color.
Do compression pants work for weight loss?
Compression pants alone do not directly cause weight loss. However, by enhancing comfort and potentially improving performance during exercise, they may indirectly support weight loss goals by enabling more effective workouts.
Making the Most of Your Investment in Starter Compression Pants
Investing in a pair of Starter compression pants can significantly enhance your workout experience and athletic performance. To maximize the value of your purchase, consider the following tips:
- Rotate between multiple pairs to extend their lifespan
- Experiment with wearing them for different activities to find what works best for you
- Combine them with other high-quality workout gear for optimal performance

I can’t say enough positive about these pants.
I have been incredibly happy with these pants. I have had one pair of shorts for a few years and have loved them, however with the onset of Fall and Winter weather I decided to buy a pair of pants. I then purchased a second pair. In all I now own two pairs of shorts and two pants and am very pleased with their fit and performance. When I had a small issue with my first pair of pants, the customer service team was incredibly quick to make things right. I love these products hands down. So many products on the market claim to be compressive when in fact they are nothing more than glorified tights made from polyester rather then nylon.
Great compression pants
Very comfortable and squat proof with the exception of the white ones . White is very see trough just wearing without even doing squats or any workout . Other then that there great have 4 pair I suggest ones with pockets they come in handy. I own 2 of each with and without.
White Compression Pants
Great fit and feel!
Best
I’ve tried many various brands from Under Armour, Nike, Reebok and Champion! But I have FINALLY found my compression gear brand! CompressionZ is by far the best quality I’ve tried. It fits great and feels great. The quality is unmatched! I will say I usually wear size small in other brands but ended up ordering a size medium and it fits just like the size guide suggested!
Not only is the quality better than those other brands, but the price is cheaper! EVEN BETTER!!!
Now, if they would only offer more colors so I could justify ordering more!

Equipment: running compression wear
Our regular contributor Anna Kosova discovered compression equipment last fall, but only this year she fully understood what it was for. According to the established tradition, Anna tried on clothes from different manufacturers and wrote in detail about her impressions. Your personal experiences and opinions are, as always, welcome in the comments.
I first encountered compression clothing a year ago at the Moscow Marathon Expo, where I bought CEP compression gaiters. Back then, I knew absolutely nothing about compression — I just liked the bright leggings. Why such equipment is needed, I found out quite recently.
Compression clothing is an expensive pleasure, which means that when purchasing it, each of us counts on the effect promised by the manufacturers. That is why I decided to test the most popular brands of compression underwear that are on the Russian market and tell about my impressions.
First, a little about what compression underwear is and why it has become so popular among professional athletes and amateurs. By the way, the list of sports disciplines where compression is actively used is not limited to running and cycling. Motorcycling, mountain biking, volleyball, football and, of course, weightlifting – in these sports, compression underwear is used very often. Why?
Why do I need compression garments?
First of all, compression garments stimulate the outflow of venous blood (blood that returns to the heart through the veins to be enriched with oxygen). Due to the influence of varying degrees of pressure, this blood is “pushed” upward. Improved circulation helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to the muscles, and just as importantly, remove carbon dioxide and other waste products from them. As a result, muscle fatigue occurs later than usual.
The second big plus is injury prevention. Compression garments reduce vibration and provide additional support to muscles, ligaments and tendons, reducing the risk of micro-tears that lead to more serious injuries. This is very important in long competitions.
Another argument in favor of compression is an increase in proprioception. Proprioception is the sense of the body in space. When you put on compression stockings, your coordination improves, helping you to keep track of your running technique. Especially effective in this matter are socks that fit snugly to the leg, helping to better feel the placement of the foot.
Benefit number four – compression underwear, like any other good sports equipment, wicks moisture, retains heat, protects from the sun and gives comfort.
Compression for recovery deserves a separate discussion. All brands of compression underwear have a recovery line. Recovery equipment has a higher percentage of compression effect than training equipment, and thus helps to remove decay products faster and contributes to the active supply of nutrients to the muscles.
To sum it up, when you wear compression to training or competition, you can expect extra support, fewer injuries and faster recovery. With theory, everything is clear – now let’s move on to practice.
Personal experience: testing compression and more
I was able to compare several brands of compression clothing available in Russia. Of course, my experience can hardly be called complete. Share your own in the comments if you have something to say. When buying expensive running equipment, the reader needs to be fully equipped and have enough information. I hope you can help us paint a more complete picture.
Puma
Puma leggings came to me first. The brand has a whole line of compression clothing that includes leggings for running and recovery, as well as bras and tank tops for women. The main difference between Puma products and equipment from other brands is the presence of silicone exhibitions that run along the muscles, stimulating blood circulation. I will say right away that silicone does not rub and does not interfere. Even if you are a man and you have hair on your legs. My young man runs in these and is very pleased.
It’s great that the leggings have a zippered pocket on the side of the thigh – you can put your keys here, which will not interfere, rub or press. Among the shortcomings: there are zippers at the bottom of the legs only on the female model, and the belt (rather rigid) has to be tightened tightly so that the leggings do not slip.
Recovery leggings (available for both men and women) have silicone strips in different places than training leggings. I wear them for an hour or two after a workout – the sensations are pleasant. The compression of the tissue itself is not high, the stimulation of blood circulation occurs due to the inserts.

2XU
The 2XU brand is probably one of the most recognizable on the market due to its recognizable pattern. I tested the Women’s Elite Compression Tights, which are made from two materials that combine different degrees of compression. When trying on, they sat perfectly, but during training it turned out that they slip a little (perhaps the model just did not suit me very well). The fabric of the leggings is very pleasant, a little cold. When you run in these leggings, it seems that you have nothing on. The only thing I would note is not a very comfortable belt: it sits tight and well, you can not tighten the elastic band, but I would make it a little higher and wider, it personally gives me discomfort.
The pattern on the leggings is durable and does not peel off after washing. The brand is praised by tall people, especially men, for having models of various lengths.

Skins
At first glance, things from the Skins brand seem unusual. The products are very soft and do not look like compression garments at all. The manufacturer claims that incredibly elastic compression materials allow this effect to be achieved. Thanks to this elasticity, the garment fits the body perfectly, and the compression effect is better exactly in those places where it is needed.
I ran in short and long leggings from the Skins A200 line. When I tried on the cropped ones, it seemed to me that they put a lot of pressure under the knee (if it were not for the equipment test, I myself would not have bought them). Interestingly, the unpleasant feeling went away during the run, and now these leggings have become one of the most beloved. Most of all I liked the belt: it is high, wide, with comfortable rubber ropes to tighten the belt tighter. The material fits snugly around the legs and visually slims. It is very comfortable to run in these leggings. It seems to me that the compression effect is not very strong, but I had models with medium compression, and the brand has higher ones.
CEP
The CEP brand produces medical compression and sports equipment. I tried golfs, leggings, leggings and a T-shirt. I’ll start with the gaiters. As I wrote above, I bought bright cute leggings at the Moscow Marathon Expo, and they did not take root with me. Firstly, it is inconvenient to take off and put on. In addition, I was uncomfortable running in them. Most likely, I did not notice the effect or did not understand it. Despite the failure with the socks, I tried knee socks, and they lived up to all my expectations. Putting them on is much more convenient, plus, you can’t run anywhere without a sock, so it turns out two in one: both socks and leggings. I am very comfortable in golfs for long distances: the calves do not get clogged, and the next day my legs are very “fresh”. Ideal for trail or woods running. There is, however, one minus: in the heat in golf, the foot is not very comfortable.
I liked the leggings too. They are made of several types of fabric: strong compression on the hips and calves, weaker in other places. In these leggings, I felt that I was running in compression underwear. Leggings have a high waistband, which is not tightened with elastic bands, but simply sits tightly. The fabric itself is quite dense, so they do not shine through, like many others. By the way, reinforced fabric on the calves can easily replace leggings or stockings – very convenient. I advise you to choose a model at least a size smaller: I took S, and leggings are too big for me.
Compressport
Compressport brand does not have a line for girls, but you can choose something according to the size, for example, sleeves or leggings (check the size chart). My friend, a professional motorcycle racer, tested armlets, stockings, leggings, and was completely delighted: he noted the good quality of the materials and a noticeable compression effect. He says that now he trains and performs at competitions only in compression, as the muscles get tired much less.
Personally, I really like Compressport gear, if only because the brand has such unique products as thigh cuffs and stockings. In addition, everyone who has tried praises running socks. I have noticed that professionals often choose Compressport. Too bad the brand doesn’t have leggings.
Asics
Asics has a whole line called Muscle Support. We were able to test the Leg Balance men’s leggings with compression panels. Thicker inserts at the hips and lower back are designed to reduce vibration and provide support to the muscles that fatigue the most during running. In my opinion, this is not exactly compression clothing, but it also deserves attention.
