Olivier Award nominee Ryan Molloy, who originated the role of Frankie Valli in the London production of Jersey Boys, will join the Broadway cast of the long-running Four Seasons musical this summer.

Molloy will make his Broadway debut when he begins performances as Valli July 29 at the August Wilson Theatre.
He will play a limited engagement in the New York cast through Oct. 19.
The U.K. actor earned an Olivier Award nomination for his performance in the original West End production of Jersey Boys. He currently appears in Fings Ain’t Wot They Used T’Be at Theatre Royal Stratford East. His theatre credits also include Taboo, Jerry Springer: The Opera, Tonight’s The Night, On the Town, The Blues Brothers, The Pickled Cerebrum, Macbeth and Betrayal, among others. His album “Turn on the Night” is available on iTunes.
The current Broadway cast of Jersey Boys features Richard H. Blake (Tommy DeVito), Matt Bogart (Nick Massi), Joseph Leo Bwarie (Frankie Valli) and Drew Gehling (Bob Gaudio) with Peter Gregus and Mark Lotito as well as Miles Aubrey, Erik Bates, Candi Boyd, Jared Bradshaw, Cara Cooper, Ken Dow, John Edwards, Russell Fischer, Katie O’Toole, Joe Payne, Mauricio Pérez, Nathan Scherich, Sara Schmidt and Katie Webber.
Jersey Boys opened on Broadway to critical acclaim Nov.
6, 2005, at the August Wilson Theatre.
Jersey Boys is written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, direction by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff and choreography by Sergio Trujillo. The musical, according to press notes, “is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi, about a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks who became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide — all before they were thirty.” The show features “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What a Night,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and “Working My Way Back To You.”
Jersey Boys is the recipient of the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical and the 2009 Olivier Award for Best Musical. The Original Broadway Cast Recording, produced by Bob Gaudio, received the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album and has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The Broadway production also won the 2006 Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Awards for Best Musical.

About the cinema hall
The GUM cinema hall is a chamber theater with three halls where films are shown. The architectural project was made by special order of GUM. The classic “theater decor” meets the highest acoustic standards of the usual “black boxes”.
GUM’s cinema hall has completely preserved the architecture of the Main Department Store – early 20th century stucco on the ceiling and famous crystal chandeliers.
They have been restored and treated with a special varnish: the crystal should not ring during high or low sounds. The huge windows of the halls overlook Vetoshny Lane. During the sessions, they are covered with velvet multilayer curtains. The inner layer of a special fireproof fabric improves the sound, and the outer one gives the hall an additional theatrical solemnity.
There are three halls in the GUM Cinema Hall: the Big Hall for 70 seats, the Children’s Hall for 20 seats and the Special Hall for 16 seats. In the Great Hall, instead of the usual folding chairs, there are velvet armchairs, free and very soft. In the Children’s Hall there are comfortable pouffes that take any form convenient for fidgets. In the Special Hall there are spacious velvet sofas. Details for VIP pleasure: a blanket in the cold season and a bar located right in the hall.
The latest generation of digital and acoustic equipment is used in the GUM Cinema. The screen in the Great Hall – 6.5 by 4 meters – is located at a specially calculated distance from the first row: the eyes of the audience will not get tired by the end of the session.
Mikhail Yuryevich Lane, Head of the Acoustics Laboratory of the Moscow Research Institute of Culture, Recreation, Sports and Healthcare, acted as a consultant on the organization of space and the selection of equipment for this project.
The GUM cinema hall is independent, it is not associated with any distribution network. Therefore, the repertoire here is special: these are premieres, and classics of cinema, and retrospectives of famous directors, and hits of past years. In addition to screenings of the current premiere repertoire, the GUM Cinema Hall hosts events: film clubs (discussions of classic and modern films with film experts), broadcasts and screenings of performances, operas and ballet recordings from the best theaters in the world, screenings of films-exhibitions from famous museums around the world. The Special Hall often hosts screenings of films in the original language. In the Children’s Hall, favorite cartoons and adventure films are shown not only during the holidays, but all year round – so as not to miss, watch and revise.
GUM cinema hall – area free from popcorn. The buffet, classic for Soviet cinemas, will offer traditional sandwiches, cakes, champagne, as well as the famous lemonade.
Sessions start with the opening of GUM and last until late at night: after the store closes at 22.00, two more sessions are planned. The GUM cinema hall has a separate entrance from Vetoshny Lane.
Rules for cinema invitations
Cinema invitations can be exchanged for a movie ticket in the Great or Children’s Hall on any day of the week, unless there are special screening conditions.
The “Invite to the Cinema” card with 5 stamps can be exchanged for a cinema ticket in the Great or Children’s Hall for screenings from Monday to Thursday (excluding holidays), if there are no special screening conditions.
The invitation to the cinema and the “Invitation to the cinema” card with 5 stamps affixed do not apply to films limited by the memorandum, to events: cinema clubs, lectures, broadcasts and screenings of operas, ballets, performances, film exhibitions, etc.
