Pieces in place for sports market to roar back from pandemic, panelists say
Among the participants in the panel were consultant Joshua Schall, brand owner Daniel Lourenco, attorney Ivan Wasserman and scientific consultant Ralf Jäger, PhD.
Schall said three aspects of the sports nutrition market have really jumped out to him as an analyst and consultant with more than a decade of experience in the space.
Flavor as a key market driver
Schall identified flavor innovation as a key concept. He also said new concepts for the merchandising of products, both online and in stores, is also having a marked effect. And he said low barriers to entry, often seen as a weakness of the supplements industry generally, is a good thing for the sports market as it brings new ideas into the space quickly.
Flavor innovation has been a huge change in the sports market from when he started as a business strategy executive with foundational brand MusclePharm.
Chocolate and vanilla were the mainstay flavors, and flavor in any case wasn’t seen as particularly important. In the early days it was something of a trial by fire experience. If you could hold up under the heavy workload required to really build muscle fast, and could stomach the not very pleasant products on the market, you could be part of the scene.
Schall said back in the day as an early avid consumer of sports nutrition products, he was less focused on the sensory experience and there were few companies making the products who were focused on it, either.
Flavor as a compliance aid
“I used to say, well, it works, so I’ll take it. As long as it works it doesn’t matter what it tastes like. That’s not the case any more. You are really looking for something that you enjoy taking every day, because if you have that consistency in your routine you really have a better chance of getting to your goals, whatever they are,” Schall said.
Now, Schall said, with so many good tasting products on the market consumers are looking for flavor notes that they used to and that might have pleasant associations.
“Consumers are going to want those products to taste very similarly to what they are used to consuming which are salty snacks or sugary beverages. So you have to have the taste of the sports nutrition products be within a similar spectrum,” he said.
Schall noted that in the past year the pandemic-induced closures of gyms caused some aspects of the market to struggle. Consumers are creatures of habit, and all those products where people were used to consuming them during a workout at a facility outside the home had a hard time.
But as with other aspects of the economy, the pre workouts and other suffering subcategories have come roaring back, Schall said.
“Most of those categories have come back to or above pre pandemic levels, where they were in 2019, so there hasn’t been a long term effect from the gyms being closed,” he said.
Building a broad based brand
Another participant in the discussion, Dan Lourenco, founder and CEO of Ghost Nutrition, said he and his cofounders were seeking to make sports nutrition products efficacious, but also welcoming, to extend their benefits to as many consumers as possible.
The brand features a commitment to no proprietary blends, innovative favors, and attractive packaging.
“Back in 2015, when we started Ghost, the market was dominated by black and metallic packaging. And the marketing at the time was very holier than thou, at times misogynistic and definitely veins on veins,” Lourenco said.
“The idea for Ghost was instead fo creating a brand that was very specific — the science brand, the crossfit brand, the hardcore brand — why not build a brand for everybody. Internally we say, we formulate for the 1%, but we build the brand — the marketing, the message, the flavors — for the 99%.” he said.

Thunder roar back to beat Lakers again, 107-104
LOS ANGELES (AP) Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 11 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter, and the Oklahoma City Thunder rallied from a 19-point deficit to beat the Los Angeles Lakers for the second time this season, 107-104 on Thursday night.
Kenrich Williams scored nine of his 13 points in the final period for the Thunder, who haven’t beaten anybody in their eight games this season except the vaunted Lakers – both times while rallying from enormous deficits, and both times with LeBron James sidelined. James sat out the rematch with an abdominal strain.
”We respect their talent, but with that being said, we want to prove ourselves,” said Gilgeous-Alexander, who capped his performance with a dazzling 3-pointer from the half-court logo with 1:18 to play. ”They’re a team that has a lot of guys that have done a lot of good things, but we want to prove ourselves and compete.”
Anthony Davis had 29 points and 18 rebounds despite spraining his right thumb near halftime for the Lakers, whose three-game winning streak ended with just their second loss in seven games. Carmelo Anthony had another big game off the bench, scoring 21 points with five 3-pointers – including two in the final minute while LA’s rally fell short.
”We shouldn’t have lost this one,” Anthony said. ”It didn’t come down to LeBron not being here. … We’re OK, but it hurts to lose to the same team twice within a week in the same way, the same fashion. That’s something we’ve got to take upon ourselves and hold ourselves accountable.”
Russell Westbrook scored 27 points for the Lakers, but the veteran guard made a comical turnover against his former team with 21 seconds left and a chance to tie the game.
”It’s interesting, but I’m a person that you just play the cards you’re dealt,” Westbrook said. ”Whoever is available, you have to make it work. We haven’t had our full team one time, not close. We just have to make the best of it and compete to the best of our ability.”
After rallying from a 26-point deficit last week in Oklahoma City, the Thunder came all the way back again at Staples Center before surviving a tough fourth quarter.
Oklahoma City took its first lead of the night on Williams’ driving dunk with 5:27 to play during a 12-0 run.
Davis’ jumper put the Lakers back ahead with 2:23 remaining, but Williams hit a 3-pointer before Gilgeous-Alexander added his 29-footer right after crossing midcourt.
”Anybody else, I would have said something,” Williams said with a grin. ”But Shai, I’m cool with it. He is a special player.”
Gilgeous-Alexander shrugged and called it ”just a momentum shot. I was feeling good.”
”I usually don’t shoot that shot in a game,” he added. ”We shoot that shot at the end of every practice, though. I felt confident to shoot the ball.”
After Anthony hit a 3-pointer with 39 seconds left to trim Oklahoma City’s lead to two, Westbrook accidentally flung the ball into the seats while driving to the lane. After a shoving match broke out between the teams before the ensuing inbounds pass, Lu Dort got free for an uncontested dunk with 17 seconds left.
Anthony hit his fifth 3-pointer to trim the lead to 105-104, but Dort hit two free throws before Westbrook missed a 3-pointer that would have tied it.
”For some reason, this team comes in every time and makes shots against us,” Davis said. ”There’s guys who we want shooting the ball, and they made shots. Nonetheless, we’re still supposed to win the game.”

”Any time LeBron’s out and he’s going to miss some time, there’s obviously concern,” Vogel said.
”Hopefully this is something that’s minimal, and hopefully he’ll be back soon.”
James’ production has been solid this season, although he’s hitting just 46.7% of his shots. The 19-year veteran is averaging 24.8 points, 7.0 assists and 5.5 rebounds.
AD’S HEALTH
Davis said his thumb swelled and his fingernail filled with blood after he banged it into Gilgeous-Alexander’s leg shortly before halftime. The star big man said it was ”fine,” but he wasn’t sure whether he’ll play Saturday.

Hey There Harvard, What’s it Like in New York City?: Crimson Roar Back into Ivy Contention with 49-21 Victory over Columbia | Sports
NEW YORK — Coming off two consecutive losses, to Princeton on Oct.
23 and Dartmouth on Oct. 30, Harvard (5-2, 2-2 Ivy) traveled down to New York City knowing it needed to beat Columbia (5-2, 2-2 Ivy) to have any chance of roaring back into the Ivy League title race. It got off to a hot start, with two touchdowns from junior running back Aaron Shampklin propelling the Crimson to a 14-0 lead after the first frame, and cruised to a 49-21 win to quash all of the Lions’ hopes for a conference championship. At 6-2 (3-2 Ivy), Harvard is now just one game back of Princeton, Dartmouth, and Yale (who defeated Brown, 63-38, on Saturday to improve to 4-1) in the Ancient Eight.
After sophomore quarterback Charlie Dean, who entered the season as the starter, suffered a season-ending injury, the Crimson turned to junior quarterback Luke Emge, who earned his first career start against Columbia. Emge had performed admirably in relief of senior quarterback Jake Smith in the loss to the Big Green, completing six of his eight passes for 73 yards and leading Harvard on three potential game-tying field-goal drives in the fourth quarter.
After saying that, after the Dartmouth contest, he would evaluate all of his signal-caller options, head coach Tim Murphy made the move to Emge. In the victory, Emge torched the Lions for 227 yards and three touchdowns. He was also efficient, completing 17 of his 25 passes, good for a completion percentage of 68 percent, the best mark for a Crimson quarterback this season. His sole interception, an underthrown ball around the left hash marks that Columbia safety Jordan Colbert snagged at the Lions’ 40-yard line, came with the final result all but secure at 42-14.
“I was excited to get out there [and] play with the guys,” Emge said. “[I] had confidence in my game plan, confidence in the [offensive line] and receivers. We have a lot of playmakers, so my focus was just getting the ball to them and letting them make plays.”
Aided by the coaching staff, Harvard’s bevy of playmakers did just that. Shampklin was dialed from the start of the game, taking his three carries for 21 yards on the opening drive, including a five-yard score.
Overall, Shampklin gained 75 yards on his 19 handoffs and found paydirt twice. Offensive coordinator Mickey Fein also presented an aggressive passing offense early, which reflected a clear contrast from its previous games, when Dean and Smith predominantly threw short and medium-range passes. However, on the first possession, Emge tossed a long pass down the right sideline that junior wide receiver Kym Wimberly high-pointed in traffic. Throughout the afternoon, Emge repeatedly attempted to throw into the heart of Columbia’s secondary.
The Crimson also tried to catch the Lions’ defense off guard with trick plays. It completed two of them in the first half, each going for significant gains that set up touchdowns on each of the ensuing snaps. In the opening quarter, Harvard used the fear of a Shampklin run to set up a wide-open completion to senior wide receiver James Batch. Shampklin took the handoff up the middle before pitching it back to Emge, who launched it downfield. Although he slightly underthrew Batch, no blue jerseys were within five yards of the receiver.
He took it down the sideline before he was finally pushed out of bounds just shy of the pylon. Shampklin plunged up the middle for a score on the next play to extend the Crimson lead to 14-0. It was his tenth touchdown of the season: in addition to his nine on the ground, he also took a short pass into the end zone against Dartmouth on Oct. 30.
“I thought our coaches did a great job of game-planning,” Murphy explained. “Having a balanced offense, having a complementary offense, keeping teams guessing, going with some big plays to get some momentum, … the combination of those things today led to a big output.”
A few drives later, the Harvard offense did it again. After receiving the ball on its own 46-yard line after notching a fourth-down stop with a 21-0 lead, Emge manufactured a score in just 34 seconds. The possession started off with another trick play, this time a reverse to sophomore wide receiver Gavin Sharkey, who launched a tight spiral into tight coverage up the right hash marks to Batch.
Showing off his natural touch, Sharkey placed it where only his receiver could get it, just over the outstretched hands of the Lions defender. The very next play, Emge lasered a perfectly-placed pass on a shallow post route to junior tight end Adam Shepherd, who came down in the end zone for another touchdown.
“I didn’t make the call. That was [Fein] who did a great job with it, but I did put down an edict that we’re going to run [a certain] amount of explosives,” Murphy said. “We’ve built up a resume, that they haven’t seen those things, and therefore, it’s obviously the perfect time to get after it.”
Meanwhile, while everything broke the Crimson’s way in the early going, Columbia’s missed opportunity on its second drive cost it all the momentum it had gathered by driving down to Harvard’s five-yard line. Defensive coordinator Scott Larkee ’99’s unit had been the fifth-best red-zone defense in the nation, allowing points on just 63.2 percent of its opponents’ drives into the red zone.
The Crimson defense held its ground, and after Lions kicker Alex Felkins missed a 23-yard field goal attempt, Columbia never seriously threatened to score again until late in the third quarter.
“[It was] really hard. I think [there were] a couple throws I could have hit there,” Lions quarterback Joe Green said. “It’s kind of tough, but [we] definitely should have come away with seven [points] there.”
Throughout the game, Crimson receivers made tough catch after tough catch. On Harvard’s third touchdown, Emge lofted a high ball towards the back right corner of the end zone, trusting his 6’7” target, senior wide receiver/long snapper Adam West, to come down with it. He did exactly that, giving Harvard a three-score lead. Then, on its last possession of the half, the Crimson had a chance to go into the break with a five-score lead. Thanks to some heroics by Emge and Wimberly, it executed a flawless touchdown drive to all but put the game away early.
Columbia looked as if it might avoid conceding a score when it seemed to have Emge trapped in the backfield on a 2nd and 10 near midfield.
However, the quarterback ducked to his left, evaded a few would-be tacklers, and broke a few more tackles before finding an opening up the middle for 14 yards, his longest rush of the game. A few plays later, Shampklin bounced around the right tackle to gain a first down on 3rd and 2, and the referees tacked on another ten yards after calling Lions defensive end Mitch Moyer for a personal conduct penalty. Emge made Columbia pay for its mistake, firing a strike to Wimberly’s back shoulder, which he hauled in in tight coverage.
“It was just a good job by our guys, Luke especially, just putting the ball in good spots,” said Wimberly, who led the team with 109 receiving yards, the first triple-digit performance by a Harvard receiver this season. “That is something we work on all day at practice, making those contested catches, and it was just a show today that we can do that.”

Despite its second-largest halftime lead of the season, Murphy refused to let off the gas after the break. After Columbia was forced to punt without earning a first down on its opening possession of the half, Harvard made an aggressive play call at the Lions’ 32-yard line. Facing 4th and 6 and well within junior kicker Jonah Lipel’s range, Emge trotted back out onto the field to attempt the conversion. Columbia entered the game with the nation’s ninth-stingiest fourth-down defense, conceding a fresh set of downs on 27.3 percent of its opponents’ attempts this season. However, Fein designed a quick curl for Wimberly down the left sideline, which kept the drive alive. The next play, sophomore running back Aidan Borguet bounced around the left side and scampered past the pylon, extending the Crimson lead to 42 points.
“We talked about it at halftime.
Offense, defense, special teams, we were going to keep the pedal down,” Murphy said. “We had a different type of lead than you expect to have in our league, but we were not taking anything for granted.”
The hosts finally got on the board towards the end of the third quarter, sparked by their two-time Ivy League First-Team return specialist, wide receiver Mike Roussos. After Lions defensive lineman Ben Corniello brought Emge down at his own one-yard line on third down, junior punter Jon Sot’s kick made it only to Harvard’s 40-yard line, where Roussos was waiting for it. The senior found a hole down the left half of Robert K. Kraft Field, taking it all the way down to the nine-yard line before finally being caught by junior cornerback David Spitz. Two plays later, Green kept it himself from six yards out, cutting the Crimson lead to 42-7.
Columbia managed to score on two of its next three possessions as well, forcing Murphy to keep Emge in the game. Starting their drive on their own 29-yard line to begin the fourth quarter, trailing by 35 points, the Lions managed to open up their deep passing game, completing two passes of 20 yards or more in a ten-play, 71-yard drive.
On second and goal at the Harvard 11, Green rolled out to his right and fired a strike to tight end Luke Painton. Then, after Colbert’s interception, Lions running back Dante Miller took the first snap 40 yards down the right sideline for a touchdown to cut the Crimson lead to three scores with 10 minutes, 24 seconds remaining in the game.
“Defensively, we saw in that fourth quarter especially, that they really started to pop some plays,” said senior linebacker Jordan Hill, who is serving as the 147th captain of Harvard football this season. “That’s something that we definitely need to work on, more internally than looking at what they were doing, but not allowing those plays to stack up against us.”
Instead of turning to Smith or one of his other quarterbacks, Murphy opted to keep Emge in the game, and he delivered a dagger. Harvard marched slowly and methodically down the field, chewing six minutes, two seconds off the clock in ten plays and traveling 75 yards to the end zone.
Although he only threw the ball once, it went for an explosive play, as Wimberly evaded defenders for a 24-yard gain on 3rd and 6. It was Borguet who finally found paydirt, zooming around the right side for a ten-yard touchdown to firmly hammer the nail in Columbia’s coffin. Despite the comfortable victory, which improved the Crimson’s record against its conference rival to 63-15-1 (.804), Hill was not satisfied with his defense’s performance. With critical Ivy League matchups against Penn (Nov. 13) and Yale (Nov. 20) on the horizon, and with Harvard back in contention for its 18th conference championship, the captain was focused on the second half, in which the team was outscored, 21-14.
“We didn’t finish the game the right way,” he said. “[The offense] put up 49 points. There’s not much else you can ask for on their side. … You need to be able to finish, in the games that really matter. And against Penn and Yale to finish out the season, those are going to be good games. So, the fact that we won by such a margin isn’t even something that we’re talking about. It’s more the fact that we gave up three scores in the [second half]. That’s crazy. So, just getting back to work tomorrow and preparing for this game next Saturday is our main focus right now.”
The Quakers will enter Harvard Stadium next Saturday tied for sixth in the conference, with a record of 3-5 (1-4 Ivy). For the Crimson to secure a share of the Ivy League title, it will need to beat Penn and then Yale (5-3, 4-1 Ivy) the following weekend in New Haven, Conn. Princeton and Dartmouth must also each lose one of their remaining two games. The Tigers, after falling to the Big Green, 31-7, on Friday night, will face Yale on Nov. 13 and Penn on Nov. 20. Meanwhile, Dartmouth will welcome Cornell to Hanover, N.H., on Nov. 13 before traveling to face Brown on Nov. 20.

Thunder roar back to beat Lakers again, 107-104
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 11 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter, and the Oklahoma City Thunder rallied from a 19-point deficit to beat the Los Angeles Lakers for the second time this season, 107-104 on Thursday night.
Kenrich Williams scored nine of his 13 points in the final period for the Thunder, who haven’t beaten anybody in their eight games this season except the vaunted Lakers — both times while rallying from enormous deficits, and both times with LeBron James sidelined. James sat out the rematch with an abdominal strain.
“We respect their talent, but with that being said, we want to prove ourselves,” said Gilgeous-Alexander, who capped his performance with a dazzling 3-pointer from the half-court logo with 1:18 to play. “They’re a team that has a lot of guys that have done a lot of good things, but we want to prove ourselves and compete.”
Anthony Davis had 29 points and 18 rebounds despite spraining his right thumb near halftime for the Lakers, whose three-game winning streak ended with just their second loss in seven games. Carmelo Anthony had another big game off the bench, scoring 21 points with five 3-pointers — including two in the final minute while LA’s rally fell short.
“We shouldn’t have lost this one,” Anthony said. “It didn’t come down to LeBron not being here. … We’re OK, but it hurts to lose to the same team twice within a week in the same way, the same fashion. That’s something we’ve got to take upon ourselves and hold ourselves accountable.”
Russell Westbrook scored 27 points for the Lakers, but the veteran guard made a comical turnover against his former team with 21 seconds left and a chance to tie the game.
“It’s interesting, but I’m a person that you just play the cards you’re dealt,” Westbrook said. “Whoever is available, you have to make it work. We haven’t had our full team one time, not close. We just have to make the best of it and compete to the best of our ability.”
After rallying from a 26-point deficit last week in Oklahoma City, the Thunder came all the way back again at Staples Center before surviving a tough fourth quarter.
Oklahoma City took its first lead of the night on Williams’ driving dunk with 5:27 to play during a 12-0 run. Davis’ jumper put the Lakers back ahead with 2:23 remaining, but Williams hit a 3-pointer before Gilgeous-Alexander added his 29-footer right after crossing midcourt.
“Anybody else, I would have said something,” Williams said with a grin. “But Shai, I’m cool with it. He is a special player.”
Gilgeous-Alexander shrugged and called it “just a momentum shot. I was feeling good.”
“I usually don’t shoot that shot in a game,” he added. “We shoot that shot at the end of every practice, though. I felt confident to shoot the ball.”
After Anthony hit a 3-pointer with 39 seconds left to trim Oklahoma City’s lead to two, Westbrook accidentally flung the ball into the seats while driving to the lane. After a shoving match broke out between the teams before the ensuing inbounds pass, Lu Dort got free for an uncontested dunk with 17 seconds left.
Anthony hit his fifth 3-pointer to trim the lead to 105-104, but Dort hit two free throws before Westbrook missed a 3-pointer that would have tied it.
“For some reason, this team comes in every time and makes shots against us,” Davis said. “There’s guys who we want shooting the ball, and they made shots. Nonetheless, we’re still supposed to win the game.”

Ward, UIW roar back to upset No. 6 Southeastern Louisiana
UIW’s season-long emphasis on finishing was tested Saturday afternoon when the Cardinals led for all three quarters before surrendering their lead to No. 6 Southeastern Louisiana early in the fourth quarter.
The Cardinals roared back, with quarterback Cameron Ward tossing a 24-yard touchdown pass with 24 seconds left in the game to seal the 55-52 upset win and retain control of their destiny in the Southland Conference.
“We preach ‘finish’ to these kids,” UIW coach Eric Morris said. “We weren’t great everywhere by any stretch of the imagination. We kept our poise, we never gave up. Proud of our kids, proud of our effort.”
In a duel between two of the top signal callers in the FCS, Cameron Ward completed 34-52 passes for 610 yards and seven touchdowns against Cole Kelley’s 49-67 passes for 627 yards and three touchdowns through the air, with another three on the ground.
“That’s two future NFL quarterbacks going head-to-head, and they put on a show for the fans,” Morris said. “Those get my heart rate up too high for being such a young guy.”
The Cardinals (7-2, 5-1 Southland Conference) improved to 5-0 at home this season with the win.
Cardinals receiver Taylor Grimes tallied 12 catches for a UIW-record 193 yards and two touchdowns. His 11 touchdowns on the season mark a new record for receiving touchdowns in a single season.
“He’s a really unselfish player,” Morris said. “I love when he gets big these games like this. He’s had some success in games, but when he doesn’t get the ball, he plays the same way. He might be blocking for his teammate, he plays hard all the time for the right reasons.
The Cardinal offense got going with a 48-yard pass down the sideline from Ward to Grimes, who managed to sneak one foot in bounds before crashing to the ground on the UIW sideline. On the next play, Ward faked a handoff and sent a touch pass over the middle of the field and into the hands of Grimes for a 16-yard touchdown. The trip to the end zone was the 10th of the year for Grimes, setting a new program record for touchdown receptions in a single season.
After stalling on its first two trips to the red zone, Southeastern evened the score on a 6-yard option keeper up the middle by quarterback Cole Kelley just before time expired in the first quarter.
On the ensuing drive, Ward took a snap out of the shotgun and evaded the Lion pass rush, rolling out to his right and floating a pass 31 yards into the end zone to Darion Chafin, who reached over the cornerback to make the touchdown grab and regain the lead for UIW.
An ineligible receiver downfield penalty called back a Southeastern touchdown and forced the Lions to settle for a field goal early in the second quarter.
Later in the frame, Ward again rolled to his right and noticed Chafin completely uncovered well beyond the Lion secondary and heaved a pass in the direction of his receiver before taking a hit. Chafin had to come back to the ball but made the catch for a 43-yard gain. Three plays later, Ward connected with senior receiver Robert Ferrel in the flat for a 2-yard touchdown to make it a two-possession game late in the first half.
Southeastern cut into the deficit in the waning minutes of the second quarter on a short slant from Kelley to Nolan Givan, who made the catch in the end zone despite losing his helmet on a hit.
UIW tried out a trick play with 20 seconds left in the half when Ward threw a left-handed backwards pass to Grimes on the perimeter, who then fired a strike to Chafin in the corner of the end zone for a 6-yard touchdown to increase the Cardinal lead to 28-17 going into halftime.
Southeastern took its opening drive of the second half 75 yards down the field on six plays, culminating in a 2-yard touchdown run by Kelley. UIW responded on the proceeding possession when Ward threw a pass off his back foot and placed it perfectly into the arms of Grimes for a 25-yard touchdown, his second of the game.
Kelley and Ward exchanged touchdowns on the game’s next three possessions as both defenses struggled to find answers for two of the league’s top quarterbacks.
UIW’s second punt of the game came with less than a minute to play in the third quarter, surrendering possession to Southeastern with a 42-38 lead. The Lions took more than four minutes off the clock on a methodical drive that resulted in a 2-yard touchdown run by Taron Jones, putting Southeastern ahead of UIW for the first time of the game, 45-42.
With four minutes left to play, Ward shoveled the ball forward as he evaded an enclosing defender and running back Kevin Brown made the catch, bolted upfield and 80 yards into the end zone to retake the lead for UIW, 49-45.
Kelley led a swift drive into the end zone on the ensuing possession, putting the Lions up by three and leaving just under two minutes left for the UIW offense to respond. Ward answered the call with the 24-yard strike to Ferrel with 20 seconds left in the game – enough time for Southeastern to reach the cusp of field goal range.
The Lions attempted a 54-yard field goal on fourth down with six seconds left and came up short, sealing the 55-52 victory for UIW.
“To see our kids fight through that one,” Morris said. “But the fact that they believed the whole entire time and came together and made the plays when they needed to.
UIW finishes out the regular season on the road, starting with a rematch against Nicholls at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at John L. Guidry Stadium. The Cardinals cruised to a 38-21 victory when they hosted the Colonels in mid-October and will look for a similar result in Thibodaux.
“We can only win one at a time,” Morris said. “We gave ourselves a chance today to stay alive.”
