“Cosmos” is our special pride!
On June 3, the children’s recreation camp “Cosmos” opened its doors for children from Dzerzhinsk for the 69th year in a row. The first summer session has begun. The head of the plant named after Ya.M. Sverdlov, member of the United Russia party, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region Vadim Rybin.
Once upon a time, all large enterprises ran their children’s camps. But in Soviet times, they all gradually abandoned them. Everything except the Sverdlov plant, which, no matter how difficult it is at times, does not abandon long-term traditions and continues to maintain the camp and the palace of culture, taking care of the health and comfort of the children of the plant workers, and of all Dzerzhinsky residents too.
As always, on the opening day of the first shift in the camp there was a big and bright holiday – a holiday of childhood, joy. On this day, “Cosmos” was decorated with flags, flowers, balloons. Flashed red caps and bright ties around the necks of the current camp inmates – “cosmonauts”. It was a tribute to the good traditions of the past.
Vadim Rybin took a direct part in the traditional parade of detachments and the ceremony of raising the Russian flag. Together with the guys, the general director of the plant in a cap and with a red ribbon over his shoulder carried the flag with his own hands.
Vadim Evgenievich wished the children to spend time in the children’s camp with interest and benefit, to treat teachers and each other with respect, make new friends and bring home only positive emotions.
“Camp Cosmos is our pride,” Vadim Rybin said later in a conversation with our correspondent. – He will be celebrating his 70th birthday next year. This is a good reason to put it in order, update it. In 2016, on the eve of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Sverdlov plant itself, the Uran stadium and the factory palace of culture have already been renovated.
Together with the children, parents participated in the celebration and rejoiced for them, many of whom once went to Cosmos to relax. Traditions continue!
Summer time is a vacation for children, but for the head and staff of the children’s institution, June, July and August are the busiest time.
