Overnight Summer Camp – Florida 4-H – University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences
Each camper will be a part of a cabin group that is always supervised by at least two camp staff. Campers’ safety is of utmost importance for all our camp staff, which is why we take so much care in training our camp staff and in managing our facilities and activities appropriately. In the case of illness or injury, parents will be notified and may be required to pick up their child from camp early. Come join Camp Cloverleaf for a week full of adventure, challenges, friendships, learning, and time to just enjoy being at camp! Please read below to see which week or weeks you’d like to attend!
EARLY BIRD PRICING: If you register by March 15th, each camper will receive $25 off the weekly cost of camp.
JUNIOR COUNSELOR INFORMATION: Teens 4-H age 14-16 are able to apply to be a Jr. Counselor at Camp Cloverleaf for all the weeks of summer camp below, except Teen W.O.L.F. Camp. Camp Cloverleaf will accept a maximum of twelve Jr. Counselors per week. Jr. Counselors will pay the early bird fee of $375/week for each week of camp they attend as a Jr. Counselor. If accepted into the Jr. Counselors Program for the summer of 2023, you will receive detailed registration instructions in your acceptance letter.

Do you love animals, especially ones found around barns? Join us as we explore the world of Animal Sciences with Dr. Chris DeCubellis, Animal Science State Specialized Agent. This week of camp will include hands-on experiences with cattle, goats, and poultry, with youth working directly with these animals. These farm animals will be incorporated into a week of learning to understand why they’re important to us and what makes them unique. In addition to these activities, campers will enjoy kayaking, swimming, campfires, and more. If you love animals and want to learn, join us for this week!

Week 5: July 3-7; Army Youth Camp | No Cost for Army-dependentsAges: Youth aged 8-12 years old, as of Sept. 1, 2022
This week of camp is designed specifically for Army youth, with the goal of creating lasting friendships and bonds between youth in Army families. This week is ONLY open to Army-dependents of Army members currently serving Active Duty, Reserves, or National Guard. Grant funds will provide full scholarships to all who meet these qualifications, register, and attend.
The only cost to register and attend will be a $15 nonrefundable processing fee; all other camp costs are fully covered. Celebrate July 4th at a special place with new friends, while also experiencing kayaking, team building, and so much more throughout the week. Please Note: Eligibility will be determined after registering in 4-H Online; no scholarship application is required. Just simply register for this week of camp and provide eligibility requirements. -

The campers will go kayaking out on the beautiful Lake Francis and learn how to shoot archery, and that is only a bit of the amazing time they will have!

Ages: Youth aged 13-16, as of September 1, 2022
Do you like spending time in the outdoors? Do you think you have the makings of a great leader? W.O.L.F Camp (Wildlife Outdoor Leadership Focus) will take you outside to learn basic survival skills, as well as teambuilding and leadership skills. Teens will get the traditional camp experience, plus more in-depth classes in GPS, animal tracks, fishing, and wildlife. It is set to be an amazing week of fun and friends that you don’t want to miss!

Registration for all summer camp programs will be open 9:00 am EST on February 1st and will be available on a first-come-first serve basis.
Individual camper registrations cannot be made, or positions held, over the phone or via email. Any registrations must be reserved using 4-H Online, so click the link below to register. Full payment of registration fees must also be received to secure a place at camp. Upon receipt of the camper’s completed forms in 4-H online and payment, a confirmation email will be sent to confirm registration is complete.

The US Air Force launched an investigation after reports appeared in the press that military pilots spent the night during business trips at a luxury golf club that is part of the Donald Trump family business empire.
Since such overnight stays, of course, were paid from the budget, the inspectors became interested in the principle by which those hotels that bear the name of the American Supreme Commander were selected.
Earlier, Politico reported that the crew of a US Air Force C-17 military transport, during one of their business trips to Kuwait and back, refueled at Thornberry Airport in Scotland, and the pilots themselves stopped for the night at a nearby luxury resort, part of the Trump club chain. As it turned out, in recent years, mysteriously, this airport has suddenly become extremely popular with Air Force pilots, although, according to the newspaper, refueling there is more expensive than it would be at one of the US military bases, for example, in Germany or Spain. Yet since 2016, when Trump won the election, US Air Force refueling at Thornberry has nearly doubled, and overnight stays at nearby hotels have tripled.
These similar cases were of interest to the US Congress.
The State Oversight and Reform Committee in the lower house, which is controlled by the opposition Democratic Party, launched its probe, suspecting the Pentagon of trying to financially support Trump’s money-losing golf club. Indeed, if in 2017 the club suffered a loss of 4.5 million dollars, then a year later its financial results improved by 3 million.
The Air Force explained the choice of the airport for logistical reasons and its year-round availability at any time of the day, and the choice of Trump’s hotel – a number of factors, such as the occupancy of other nearby hotels. US Air Force spokesman Ed Thomas said that “formally all procedures and rules were followed,” however, acknowledging that the situation “smells bad.” “Stops by civil servants in hotels of the upper price range, even if they fit within the established limits, are acceptable, but not necessarily recommended,” he commented. “Therefore, we will review the procedures and recommendations.”

For example, Vice President Mike Pence recently stopped at the Trump International Golf Club in Dunberg during a trip to Ireland, although it is located more than two hundred kilometers from Dublin, where all negotiations with local officials took place. Trump himself has repeatedly hosted foreign leaders at his golf clubs in the United States. Foreign delegations, lobbyists and entrepreneurs of all stripes who have tried to woo the head of state stay overnight at his hotels in Washington and other cities.
In addition, after the election of Trump, the price tags for season tickets in his clubs increased markedly. For example, Mar-a-Lago in Florida doubled the entry fee to $200,000 in 2017. The President willingly stirs up interest in the family property, regularly and to the great delight of the guests, looking there for private parties. Similarly, the public made reservations at a restaurant at Washington’s Trump International Hotel, expecting the presidential family to dine there.
