The volunteer will work on the topic of education, he will have to work a lot with schools and parents: explain the importance of child development, organize events, collect success stories, and ultimately contribute to improving the quality of local schools.
The monthly stipend here is rather big: about 1650 dollars, and the trainee will also pay for all vaccinations, visa, insurance, flights and relocation. Well, after working for two years in Nepal, you can get to Everest – it’s not far there.

Internship in New York | International School of Design
From October 15 to 26, an internship in the USA “New York: architecture, art, design” took place.
Our group headed by our School teacher Galina Pavlova visited New York and Philadelphia. Participants of the internship share their impressions.
New York is a city that moves at an unusual pace and never stops. New York is a city of opportunity and a place where dreams come true. The internship in America with MSD was not my first visit to New York. But only thanks to Galina Valentinovna and the School I was able to consider this city not only as a financial monster, but also as a sophisticated connoisseur of art. Living in the rhythm of the city, studying it according to the squares drawn on a piece of paper in a box, hurrying, running and being on time – this was exactly what this internship should have been and was. The city is mesmerizing. Skyscrapers compete with each other in form, height, originality of design, features of filling … And the roofs of skyscrapers give everyone the opportunity to relax, think and … run again to conquer this city.

Hotels and restaurants amaze with the craftsmanship of designers, and the shops and their showcases – “Arhaus” make you believe that you are a guest in a luxurious home. The collection of museums is so large and priceless that it is hard to believe that there are so many works of art in one hall, one wing or floor. New York is amazing. Contemporary art in New York is impressive, funny and makes you believe that every talented person can succeed. New York is a city of great opportunities and you should definitely return to it. See you soon, big city! New Yorkers love their city, they say that whoever has lived in their city cannot live anywhere else. And I partly agree with this statement. The curriculum began with an exploration of New York City architecture and an exploration of public open spaces. New York impresses, amazes and delights. Everything is here – European borrowings and innovation, creativity and business, theaters, museums, galleries, exhibitions, concert halls, restaurants, cafes, entertainment centers, shops, parks.

Traveling around New York is like diving into the city of the future. Before coming to New York, I thought that this city consisted of skyscrapers. It turned out that this is not entirely true. Only Manhattan Island, which is the business and cultural center of New York and covers only 7% of its territory, is massively built up with skyscrapers. Otherwise, New York is built up with a standard low American building of 2-6 floors. But Manhattan itself is far from being entirely covered with skyscrapers. That picture of New York skyscrapers that we all know is the skyscrapers of Down Town. Taking off from the bay. From where the Statue of Liberty is. Central Park. He is beautiful. He is amazing. It’s hard not to fall in love with him. The first thing that surprised me was the size of the Park: we walked around it for about two hours, but did not even get through a third! Another stereotype has been broken. The city has enough green spaces, everything is thought out and well maintained. A walk along the High Line (a unique landscaped park on the site of the railway) intensified this impression.
I will not write anything about museums and art in America, let it be a little intrigue and an incentive to visit. Did I like it? Yes, I liked it. New York has the right to call itself the capital of the world: the well-thought-out infrastructure of the city, thousands of hotels, tens of thousands of taxi cars – this is the key to comfortable living and recreation for millions of people. Do I recommend an internship in New York? Yes, I advise. Do I want to go to New York again? Yes very. Many thanks to MSD for a well-thought-out and well-organized internship.
