Early look at Notre Dame’s 2021 football schedule

Notre Dame will enter 2021 in a strange position. They’re coming off two College Football Playoff appearances in the last two seasons but both of those ended with blowout losses to the likes of Alabama and Clemson.
Notre Dame also has to replace the lion’s share of its offense, starting with quarterback Ian Book and continuing onto the offensive line that was one of the nation’s best in 2020.
Furthermore, the two leading receivers from 2020 are gone in Javon McKinley and Ben Skowronek and will replaced by players who come in with hype but lack experience.
A mass amount of talent leaves Notre Dame defensively, too, none bigger of course than Butkus Award-winning linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.
With this overhaul of talent are the Irish doomed in 2021?
Possibly not. And one might think that’s because of a relief that comes in the form of their 2021 schedule.

Things should be better in year two under head coach Mike Norvell but this isn’t a trip to the home of a current powerhouse by any stretch.

The Shamrock Series makes its second stop in Chicago in 2021 as a matchup with always tough Wisconsin awaits. The two were supposed to play at Lambeau Field in 2020 but that game was canceled due to COVID. Get ready for all of the stories this game week and game day about Notre Dame quarterback Jack Coan taking on the team he used to start for.

Notre Dame at Virginia Tech
October 9 – Lane Stadium
Notre Dame plays just it’s second true road game of the season as they travel to Blacksburg, Virginia in early-November. Although seen as a difficult place to play, the Hokies went just 5-6 in 2020 and have gone just 19-18 over the last three seasons. Notre Dame won in their only previous trip to Virginia Tech, 45-23 in 2018.

Quarterback Sam Howell returns but star running backs Javonte Williams and Michael Carter are gone for the NFL, as is wide receiver Dyami Brown.

Notre Dame makes just its second trip ever to Charlottesville on November 13. The last visit required last second heroics from Deshone Kizer and Will Fuller for the Irish to escape with a victory.
The Irish will face a Virginia team that two years ago was able to significantly slow Notre Dame’s offense and wound up in the Rose Bowl. The Cavaliers are coming off just a 5-5 mark in 2020.

MOSCOW, October 11 – RIA Novosti. The main period of the Unified State Exam and the main state exam will traditionally be held from May 24 to July 1, the press service of Rosobrnadzor reports. Draft schedules for the unified state exam (USE), the main state exam (OGE) and the state final exam (GVE) for 2021 have been published for public discussion.” In accordance with the draft USE schedule, it is planned that in 2021 the exams will traditionally be held in three stages: early (from March 22 to April 16), main (from May 24 to July 1) and additional (from 3 to 17 September),” the message says. “OGE for ninth grade graduates also it is planned to be held in three stages: early (from April 20 to May 14), main (from May 21 to July 1) and additional (from September 3 to 22),” the department notes. Applications for participation in the Unified State Examination and GVE-11 accepted until February 1, 2021, for participation in the OGE and GVE-9– until March 1, 2021. To help prepare for the exam, Rosobrnadzor is holding a series of online consultations during October with the participation of developers of examination materials, which are available on the department’s pages on the VKontakte social network and on YouTube.
