In modern EDI services, this issue is resolved with the help of an identifier, or ID, of an EDI participant. It is a unique number that each user of the system receives. It is assigned upon registration by the electronic document management operator, who is responsible for the smooth operation and security of information transfer.
Among the features of the identifier:
- it has a uniform structure for all users,
- it cannot be chosen – it is issued to the organization by TIN-KPP,
- one pair of TIN-KPP relies on one code,
- if companies have the same TIN and different KPP, each will have its own EDF participant ID,
- code is a sequence of numbers and Latin letters of different case,
- , the first three characters are the identifier (ID) of the EDI operator whose services the company uses, and the rest are the user code itself.
Thus, the identification number of an electronic document management participant looks like this: 2BM-9617641160-961701000-201808150446459104749. 2BM – EDI supplier ID, in this case – SKB Kontur. The remaining characters (there can be no more than 43) identify the user.

Registration with an EDF operator and receipt of an identification code are necessary for the exchange of invoices and other formalized documents. The identifier of the sender and the recipient is indicated in the corresponding fields of the xml files:

You can find out about the availability of auto-roaming in the counterparty search section: the desired company marked “Roaming” will have the “Send invitation” button. In this case, an application is not needed – it is enough to send a regular invitation to the counterparty. If the counterparty sends it, the application will appear in the “Invite you” section.

The identifier, together with the application and company details, is submitted to the tax authority at the place of registration of the company. This process is regulated by the order of the Federal Tax Service of Russia dated September 12, 2012 No. ММВ-7-6/619@. This is how the tax authority learns about the presence of electronic documents in the organization that can be claimed in digital form, and through which operator they are transmitted and received. After that, the user can freely start a full-fledged exchange of documents with contractors.
You can fill out and send an application for an EDF participant yourself when setting up details or a personal account in Diadoc before starting work. To do this, you need to open the menu next to the user name – “Settings” – and go to “Organization details”. If the application has already been sent before, it will be displayed under the link “History of applications”.
If sending is for the first time, check the correctness of the filled in fields – PSRN, IFTS (MRI), legal address. If everything is correct, click Submit. You can also update the application if you signed in with a certificate that was not included in the application.
In case of changes in the details – change of name, TIN or KPP – contact Diadoc’s technical support, write to chat, request a call or choose another convenient method in the “Support Center”. This is important, because on the basis of the adjustments, a new application will be drawn up and sent to the Federal Tax Service. In Diadoc, you do not need to configure anything for this – everything happens automatically.
Note that, according to the order of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation dated February 5, 2021 No. 14N, participants in electronic document management in their applications must also express their consent or disagreement to provide information to another EDI operator for exchanging documents with counterparties from roaming. In Diadoc, by default, all users are considered to agree to the transfer of information. However, this can be changed: if you do not agree to provide data to another provider, contact the technical support of the service.
In a situation where you need to find out your ID of an electronic document management participant in the EDI Kontur.Diadoc system, you need to perform just a few steps.
- First, log in to Diadoc for authorization. To enter, you will need an electronic signature or a login with a password.
- Then open the “Settings” menu in the upper right corner of the screen. In the field “EDF Participant Identifier (GUID)” the ID you need will be indicated.
Here you can not only view it, but also copy it to transfer it to its intended purpose. You can also find the identifier at the address “Settings” – “Details of the organization”.
Counterparty identification code will be required to activate roaming. You can recognize it in several ways. For example, you can ask the partner or client himself. He will find his ID in the settings of the electronic document management system used or in the details of the organization.
You can independently find out the counterparty’s EDF identifier as follows:
- Log in to the Diadoka portal using a valid electronic signature certificate.
- In the left menu, select the section “Accounts”, and then – “Search and invitation”.
- Specify the TIN of the required company in the search bar that appears and start the search.
- Click on the name of the organization and open its personal card.
Immediately after the name of the company and specifying whether it works in Diadoc, there will be a line indicating the TIN, KPP and ID. In order to view and copy the code, just click on the active link.
In addition, by the first three characters of the identifier, it is easy to determine which provider of electronic document management your counterparty uses, for example, it can be Task or Kontur. Diadoc.
In order to determine the provider, you should go to the website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia. It contains a list of trusted operators of legally significant electronic document management, as well as information about them. The identifiers that the Federal Tax Service assigns to each trusted provider are also indicated in accordance with the “Regulations on the Register of Trusted Operators of Legally Significant Electronic Document Management”, approved by order of the Federal Tax Service of Russia dated October 23, 2020 No. ED-7-26/775@. The operator receives an identifier only after passing all accreditations and assigning an official status with the Federal Tax Service. You can fill out and send an application for an EDF participant yourself when setting up details or a personal account in Diadoc before starting work. To do this, you need to open the menu next to the user name – “Settings” – and go to “Organization details”. If the application has already been sent before, it will be displayed under the link “History of applications”.
If sending is for the first time, check the correctness of the filled in fields – PSRN, IFTS (MRI), legal address. If everything is correct, click Submit. You can also update the application if you signed in with a certificate that was not included in the application.
In case of changes in the details – change of name, TIN or KPP – contact Diadoc’s technical support, write to chat, request a call or choose another convenient method in the “Support Center”. This is important, because on the basis of the adjustments, a new application will be drawn up and sent to the Federal Tax Service. In Diadoc, you do not need to configure anything for this – everything happens automatically.
Note that, according to the order of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation dated February 5, 2021 No. 14N, participants in electronic document management in their applications must also express their consent or disagreement to provide information to another EDI operator for exchanging documents with counterparties from roaming. In Diadoc, by default, all users are considered to agree to the transfer of information. However, this can be changed: if you do not agree to provide data to another provider, contact the technical support of the service.
In a situation where you need to find out your ID of an electronic document management participant in the EDI Kontur.Diadoc system, you need to perform just a few steps.
- First, log in to Diadoc for authorization. To enter, you will need an electronic signature or a login with a password.
- Then open the “Settings” menu in the upper right corner of the screen. In the field “EDF Participant Identifier (GUID)” the ID you need will be indicated.
Here you can not only view it, but also copy it to transfer it to its intended purpose. You can also find the identifier at the address “Settings” – “Details of the organization”.
Counterparty identification code will be required to activate roaming. You can recognize it in several ways. For example, you can ask the partner or client himself. He will find his ID in the settings of the electronic document management system used or in the details of the organization.
You can independently find out the counterparty’s EDF identifier as follows:
- Log in to the Diadoka portal using a valid electronic signature certificate.
- In the left menu, select the section “Accounts”, and then – “Search and invitation”.
- Specify the TIN of the required company in the search bar that appears and start the search.
- Click on the name of the organization and open its personal card.
Immediately after the name of the company and specifying whether it works in Diadoc, there will be a line indicating the TIN, KPP and ID. In order to view and copy the code, just click on the active link.
In addition, by the first three characters of the identifier, it is easy to determine which provider of electronic document management your counterparty uses, for example, it can be Task or Kontur. Diadoc.
In order to determine the provider, you should go to the website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia. It contains a list of trusted operators of legally significant electronic document management, as well as information about them. The identifiers that the Federal Tax Service assigns to each trusted provider are also indicated in accordance with the “Regulations on the Register of Trusted Operators of Legally Significant Electronic Document Management”, approved by order of the Federal Tax Service of Russia dated October 23, 2020 No. ED-7-26/775@. The operator receives an identifier only after passing all accreditations and assigning an official status with the Federal Tax Service. If you know the unique code of the EDF participant, you will also determine the operator by the first three digits.

To find out the ID in Diadoc, you need:
- log in to Diadoc,
- go to “Settings”,
- examine the field “EDF Participant Identifier (GUID)”, this is your identification number in the EDF.

EDF ID in VLSI can be viewed in the organization card. Open the “Settings / Our company” tab, go to the “Document management” section. An information window will appear with a code – this is the identifier.
Identifier is a unique code of an electronic document management participant, which consists of a combination of numbers and letters, where:
- the first three characters are an ID assigned by the Federal Tax Service of Russia to an EDF operator;
- the remaining 43 characters are the participant’s ID.
