How are Augusta National Golf Club and corporate partners investing in local communities. What neighborhoods will benefit from the $10 million investment. What facilities will be built with the funding.
Augusta National’s $10 Million Community Investment Initiative
In a significant move to uplift underserved communities in Augusta, Georgia, Augusta National Golf Club Chairman Fred Ridley announced a $10 million investment initiative during his remarks on Tuesday morning. This collaborative effort involves Augusta National Golf Club partnering with corporate giants AT&T, Bank of America, and IBM to revitalize two historic Augusta neighborhoods: Laney Walker and Harrisburg.
Each organization is contributing $2.5 million to the initiative, which aims to promote generational change and economic mobility in these communities that have experienced decades of disinvestment, poverty, crime, and unemployment. The investment is focused on two major projects: a community center and a new headquarters for the Boys and Girls Club.
Revitalizing Laney Walker and Harrisburg: A Look at the Target Communities
The Laney Walker and Harrisburg neighborhoods, once thriving communities, have faced significant challenges over the years. These areas have experienced prolonged periods of economic decline, leading to various social issues. By targeting these specific neighborhoods, the initiative aims to address the root causes of poverty and create opportunities for residents.
Historical Significance of Laney Walker and Harrisburg
- Formerly prosperous communities
- Decades of economic challenges
- High rates of poverty, crime, and unemployment
The Hub: A New Community Center for Augusta
One of the key components of this investment is the construction of a new community center called “The Hub.” This innovative facility is designed to provide a range of essential services to local residents, addressing various aspects of community well-being.
Services Offered at The Hub
- Healthcare services
- Literacy programs
- Educational support
- Food and nutrition assistance
The Hub is expected to become a focal point for community engagement and support, offering resources that can help residents overcome barriers to success and improve their quality of life.
New Headquarters for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the CSRA
Another crucial aspect of the investment is the construction of a new headquarters for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). This facility will significantly enhance the organization’s ability to serve the youth in Augusta and collaborate with other groups in the surrounding area.
Benefits of the New Boys and Girls Club Facility
- Expanded capacity to serve local youth
- Improved facilities and resources
- Enhanced collaboration with other community organizations
- Greater impact on youth development in Augusta
The Potential for Generational Change in Augusta
Chairman Ridley emphasized the potential for this investment to create lasting, generational change in Augusta. By providing resources, facilities, and opportunities for residents of Laney Walker and Harrisburg, the initiative aims to break the cycle of poverty and create pathways to economic mobility.
How can this investment lead to long-term positive changes in these communities? The multi-faceted approach of providing healthcare, education, nutrition, and youth services addresses many of the key factors that contribute to systemic poverty. By investing in these areas, the initiative hopes to empower residents and create a ripple effect of positive change that can be sustained for generations to come.
Corporate Partnership: A Model for Community Investment
The collaboration between Augusta National Golf Club and major corporations like AT&T, Bank of America, and IBM represents a powerful model for community investment. This partnership demonstrates how private entities can come together to make a significant impact on local communities.
Key Aspects of the Corporate Partnership
- Equal financial contributions from each partner
- Shared commitment to community development
- Leveraging diverse expertise and resources
- Potential to inspire similar initiatives elsewhere
Can this model of corporate partnership be replicated in other communities facing similar challenges? The success of this initiative could serve as a blueprint for other cities and organizations looking to make meaningful investments in underserved areas.
Future Prospects and Ongoing Commitment
Chairman Ridley indicated that this $10 million investment is just the beginning of a longer-term commitment to these communities. He expressed hope that the initiative would continue to progress and that further announcements about transformative efforts would be made in the future.
What potential future developments might arise from this initial investment? As the community center and Boys and Girls Club facility become operational, there may be opportunities for:
- Additional educational programs
- Job training and employment initiatives
- Further infrastructure improvements
- Expanded healthcare services
- Community-led development projects
The Broader Impact on Augusta’s Development
While the immediate focus of this investment is on the Laney Walker and Harrisburg neighborhoods, the potential benefits extend to the entire city of Augusta. By uplifting these communities, the initiative aims to contribute to the overall development and prosperity of the city.
How might this investment affect Augusta’s overall economic landscape? The revitalization of these neighborhoods could lead to:
- Increased property values in surrounding areas
- Attraction of new businesses and investments
- Improved city reputation and appeal to potential residents
- Reduced strain on social services and law enforcement
- Enhanced community pride and civic engagement
The success of this initiative could serve as a catalyst for broader urban renewal efforts throughout Augusta, potentially transforming the city’s social and economic fabric.
Measuring Success and Ensuring Accountability
As with any major community investment, it will be crucial to measure the impact and success of this initiative over time. While the announcement has generated excitement and hope, the true test will be in the tangible improvements seen in the lives of Laney Walker and Harrisburg residents.
Potential Metrics for Evaluating Impact
- Changes in poverty rates and median income
- Improvements in educational outcomes
- Reduction in crime rates
- Increase in homeownership and property values
- Health indicators for community residents
- Youth participation in Boys and Girls Club programs
- Community engagement and satisfaction levels
How will the initiative ensure transparency and accountability in the use of funds? Establishing clear benchmarks, regular reporting, and community involvement in decision-making processes will be essential to maintain trust and ensure that the investment truly serves the needs of the target communities.
The Role of Community Input and Participation
For this initiative to be truly successful, it must engage and involve the residents of Laney Walker and Harrisburg at every stage. Community input will be crucial in shaping the programs and services offered at The Hub and the Boys and Girls Club facility.
Ways to Encourage Community Participation
- Town hall meetings and community forums
- Surveys and needs assessments
- Local advisory committees
- Volunteer opportunities for residents
- Partnerships with existing community organizations
How can the initiative ensure that it remains responsive to community needs over time? Regular feedback mechanisms and a commitment to adapting programs based on community input will be essential for long-term success and relevance.
Challenges and Potential Obstacles
While the $10 million investment represents a significant opportunity for positive change, it’s important to acknowledge the potential challenges and obstacles that may arise during implementation.
Potential Challenges to Address
- Balancing short-term needs with long-term goals
- Avoiding gentrification and displacement of current residents
- Overcoming skepticism or mistrust from community members
- Coordinating efforts among multiple partners and stakeholders
- Sustaining momentum and funding beyond the initial investment
How can the initiative proactively address these challenges? Developing strategies to mitigate potential issues and maintaining open lines of communication with all stakeholders will be crucial for overcoming obstacles and ensuring the initiative’s success.
The Symbolic Importance of Augusta National’s Involvement
Augusta National Golf Club’s involvement in this community investment initiative carries significant symbolic weight. As one of the most prestigious golf clubs in the world and host of the Masters Tournament, Augusta National’s commitment to local community development sends a powerful message.
Implications of Augusta National’s Leadership
- Elevates the profile of the initiative
- Demonstrates corporate social responsibility
- Encourages other high-profile organizations to engage in community investment
- Bridges the gap between elite institutions and underserved communities
How might Augusta National’s involvement inspire similar actions from other prestigious organizations? This initiative could serve as a model for how elite institutions can use their resources and influence to make meaningful contributions to their local communities.
Looking Ahead: The Potential for Expanded Impact
As this initiative takes root in Laney Walker and Harrisburg, there’s potential for its impact to expand beyond these initial neighborhoods. The success of this project could pave the way for similar investments in other underserved areas of Augusta and potentially inspire comparable efforts in other cities.
Possibilities for Future Expansion
- Replication of the model in other Augusta neighborhoods
- Expansion of services offered at The Hub and Boys and Girls Club
- Creation of a network of community centers throughout the city
- Development of workforce training programs linked to local industries
- Establishment of micro-lending or small business support initiatives
How can the lessons learned from this initiative be applied to create even greater impact in the future? Careful documentation of successes, challenges, and best practices will be crucial for informing future community investment efforts, both in Augusta and beyond.
This $10 million investment by Augusta National Golf Club and its corporate partners represents a significant commitment to the revitalization of the Laney Walker and Harrisburg neighborhoods. By focusing on essential services, youth development, and community engagement, the initiative has the potential to create lasting positive change in Augusta. As the project moves forward, its success will depend on continued collaboration, community involvement, and a long-term commitment to addressing the root causes of poverty and disinvestment. If successful, this initiative could serve as a model for how private organizations can play a meaningful role in community development and social change.

Augusta National, others making $10M investment in two Augusta neighborhoods
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Augusta National Golf Club Chairman Fred Ridley announced during his remarks on Tuesday morning that the club and several corporate donors are making a $10 million bet on two Augusta neighborhoods.
“Each organization’s $2.5 million contributions will provide the majority of funding needed for this first step in the journey to uplift these underserved communities and, importantly, to promote generational change and the opportunity for economic mobility all Americans deserve,” Ridley said.
Ridley said the club, AT&T, Bank of America, and IBM are all partnering on this investment in the Laney Walker and Harrisburg neighborhoods.
“What once were thriving communities, Harrisburg and Laney Walker have experienced decades of disinvestment, poverty, crime, and unemployment,” Ridley said.

Chairman Fred Ridley announced on November 11, 2020, that Augusta National Golf Club and its partners at AT&T, Bank of America and IBM are collectively gifting $10 million for the construction of the two community facilities((Brent Cline/Augusta National))
“All Americans deserve this shared belief with our partners will attract even greater development and investment, designed to benefit the residents of the Harrisburg and Laney Walker neighborhoods, all of which can help build bridges out of poverty and make Augusta, Georgia, an even better place to live,” he continued.
The investment appears to be going to two projects in the area: a community center and a new headquarters for the Boys and Girls Club.
The community center, ANGC officials say, will provide a space for healthcare, literacy, educational support, food and nutrition, and more.
“And we are hopeful in April and beyond that, we can continue to talk about this and make announcements as to more progress to really transform this community. It really could be generational for this city,” Ridley said.
The Boys and Girls Club facility, meanwhile, will allow for much-needed facilities to serve youth in the Augusta community and will help the organization collaborate with other groups in the surrounding area with similar missions.

“So I think the real potential of this opportunity is in the area of a multi-hundred-million-dollar investment. Now, that’s going to require participation by the federal government, and we have made applications for Choice Neighborhood grants, which requires a number of pre-conditions,” Ridley said.
It’s a long term investment, with plans to create momentum and attention for more growth in this area.
“As our excitement for this initiative grows, please know we cannot wait to find other meaningful ways to support our community,” Ridley said.

Until 2018 commonly known as “the Winmau”, it remains the longest running TV event of all by the same organisation. It was first played in 1974 and sponsored by Phonogram. Winmau becomes the main sponsor in 1976 and will remain so until 2018. In 2019, L-Style and One80 will be the new name givers of the tournament. Players qualify by either winning an international ranking event, through their national team or via the British inter-county system.
In 1986 youth tournament is introduced at the World Masters. Until 1998 it is still mixed, but from 1999 there is a separate category for the boys and girls. Harith Lim from Singapore wins the first mixed edition. In 1999 Martin Brown and Janine Gough are crowned the first boy and girl Masters.
The only boy’s youth player who also wins the senior World Masters is Stephen Bunting. In the girls it’s Russian ace Anastasia Dobromyslova who does the same.
In the boys, Englishman Shaun Griffiths wins the tournament twice in succession in 2007 and 2008. Justin van Tergouw from the Netherlands does the same in 2015 and 2016.
In the girl’s competition, Janine Gough from Wales is able to win the tournament back-to-back in 1999 & 2000. Compatriot Kimberley Lewis does the same in 2006 & 2007. Zoe Jones succeeds in 2009 & 2010. The last player to win back-to-back is Beau Greaves in 2017 & 2018.
The first 24 years of the tournament it is held at several locations in London. In 1998 the tournament moves to Frimley Green for four years. From 2002 it relocates to the Northeast of England. I Wanna Keep Up With the Big Boys
What’s the hardest thing you can do in a workout? Learn a new skill. What saves you the most time and effort over the long haul? Learning new skills. Why do so many people fight the learning process? Why do some people seem to assume that just working their body harder or just swimming more laps is the answer to swimming faster? From a coach’s viewpoint it boils down to one of two things – ignorance and/or apathy on the part of the swimmer. If the coach fails to get the message across that stroke improvements are necessary and desirable then ignorance on the the swimmers part is the fault of the coach. However, once the message has been properly placed and reinforced it is up to the swimmer to make consistent efforts to learn and apply new skills. Assuming the workout environment offers opportunities to acquire and fine tune skills the swimmer then assumes responsibility for taking advantage of the environment.
Let me make sure I’ve done my part in letting you know that stroke improvement is necessary and desirable. In general, swimming skill is reflected by your efficiency as measured in strokes per length.
>>If you take more than 20 freestyle strokes per length of a 25 yard pool you are woefully in need of wholesale stroke repair.
>>If you take more than 15 strokes when swimming at a moderate pace you have a lot of ground to make up in efficiency.
>>If you take fewer than 15 strokes you need to get with your coach to determine how many more strokes you need to trim from your stroke count, if any.
“But Coach, I wanna keep up with the big boys!”
While it’s true that you can improve short term speed a bit by just increasing turnover rate – i.e. swimming harder, moving your arms and legs faster – in the long run your potential speed depends more on your efficiency than on your effort level. In general the fastest, most aesthetically pleasing swimmers take the fewest strokes per length and the slowest, ugliest swimmers take the most.
Efficient, long swimming strokes use more and larger muscle masses in the back, torso, hips and upper legs to do a large portion of the work. Short, inefficient strokes utilize mainly smaller arm and shoulder muscles to do the work. When you swim with long strokes you are training all of the muscle mass needed for fast efficient swimming. When you swim with those wimpy, short, choppy strokes you are overtraining small muscle masses and neglecting the larger, stronger muscles to the detriment of your long term potential speed.
Allow me to wax tangential for a moment.
Let’s say you are a logging foreman and must train a crew of 20 guys to move 40 ft. long 2000 lb. logs and toss them into a river. These 20 guys must learn to work together to lift the log from a pile without straining any backs, how to work together as a single unit to carry it across uneven ground over to the river bank and how to properly apply all their strength to toss it precisely so that it lands on the shore below so it will roll nicely into the water. They then return to the pile and repeat this process with the next log. This is a relatively complicated task that relies on the coordinated effort of all 20 men. It also requires a fair amount of physical conditioning as each man is required to carry his fair share (100 lbs.) of the load. It has been determined that a well conditioned crew of skilled and coordinated loggers can move 20 logs in 50 minutes allowing for a 10 minute break each hour.
Your job is to get the log tossing operation up to quota quickly.
Now, you start the group working and learning. They go very slowly to begin with, learning and refining skills while they increase their conditioning level. There is a lot of trial and error. However, by the third day the group is humming along quickly enough that 5 of the guys are getting tired and ask to sit out and rest. As foreman, do you allow this?
Lets see. If you let these 5 guys sit out they will stop learning skills and coordination and then subvert the conditioning process by smoking cigarettes. When they go back to work they will be further behind in skill development and physical conditioning. This will cause them to fall behind the guys who stuck with it even sooner the next time. By the third time you’ll probably be so frustrated you’ll just fire those 5. Then you’ll have to make due with 15 workers who have to work much harder, want more money because of it and still won’t be able to make quota cuz the crew is too small. If you hire 5 new guys they will start out even further behind than the guys you fired.
Learning a proper stroke technique is a lot like training that logging crew. Swimming is a complicated set of actions that relies on the coordinated effort of a lot of muscles. It also requires a certain level of physical conditioning. There is a a lot of trial and error. If you are trying to perfect a long, efficient stroke remember that this technique uses more muscles and muscle fibers to get the job done than a shorter stroke does. Every time you stop applying a long stroke technique and go back to that short stroke stuff its just like letting those 5 (or maybe more) guys go on a cigarette break while the rest of the crew is still training. Rather than calling a break for some of the crew you can 1) slow the work rate down so the whole crew can keep up, thus allowing all members to stay in the learning cycle or 2) put everybody on break at the same time (but instead of letting them smoke cigarettes why not have them do something worthwhile like working on turns or playing Nintendo).
Can we agree that the logging crew that has 20 fully skilled, coordinated and conditioned loggers has greater potential than the crew with only 15?
If you stop worrying about how fast you are going and worry more about how well you are swimming you will be able to get the whole crew skilled, coordinated, conditioned and on the job. This is the only way to maximize your potential for swimming speed down the road.
I realize that it is tempting to blow off the technique stuff and just try to keep up with the people in the next lane. And occasionally it is desirable to cut loose and blow doors just to see how much of your technique improvement is carrying over to your “automatic pilot” system. But the rest of the time you need to keep the whole crew on the job. To turn a skill you are learning into a habit you have developed takes a minimum of 100,000 yards of executing that skill properly. If you practice the skill in a half-assed way for 100,000 yards then you will develop a half-assed habit.
Remember, it is always your choice whether to attempt to improve stroke length or to send part of the crew out on a cigarette break.

Artemisia Gentileschi cements her place among the Old Masters boys’ club with latest record-breaking auction sale
A recently discovered work by Artemisia Gentileschi (1593-1654) sold last week for a price of €4 million, or €4. 7 million with fees, breaking the Baroque master’s auction record by almost double. The piece, Lucretia (1630’s), was being auctioned at the Artcurial auction house in Paris with an estimate of €600,000 to €800,000, but competition between six main bidders drove its price to new highs, smashing its high estimate.
Commenting on the state of the market for Old Masters, Mathieu Fournier, the director of Artcurial’s Old Masters department said: “Interest in Old Masters paintings is stronger and stronger, for the first time, we are seeing contemporary art collectors migrating toward older art.”
The result of this newfound interest in Old Masters more than doubled Gentileschi’s previous auction record of €1.8 million, which was set in 2017 after her major work, Self Portrait as Saint Catherine of Alexandria (1615-17), sold at at another Paris-based auction house. The painting made headlines after The National Gallery in London acquired it for £3.6 million, making it the first work by a female artist added to its permanent collection in over 27 years.
After many years of relative obscurity, Gentileschi has emerged as a significant historical figure in the context of the #MeToo movement, both through her personal narrative as well as her iconic works depicting female rage. Gentileschi was raped by her instructor and father’s friend Agostino Tassi early on in her career and she suffered greatly in the public eye for attempting to bring him to justice. Many of her works are autobiographical, channeling powerful women in her position to avenge the patriarchal oppression of late 16th century Papal Rome.

Her story has also highlighted some institutions’ negligence of female artists in their collections, let alone female Old Masters, whose prominence was largely overshadowed by the fame of their male counterparts. This has fuelled great interest in her work in the art market and among major institutions around the world.
The painting of Lucretia shows a strong “desire to shock, force through a point and find the viewer which is Caravaggio-esque”, Eric Turquin, Old Masters dealer and expert, said in a statement. The work is largely considered to be autobiographical, much like many of Gentileschi’s works depicting her struggle. “The story of Artemisia is just like that story [of Lucretia] except that Artemisia decided on another outcome for her life,” Fournier added.
In a sign of Artemisia’s growing prominence, the National Gallery in London announced a major exhibition of her work set to open in April 2020, bringing together 35 works from around the world to highlight her as one of the greatest painters of the post-Caravaggio era and one of very few to match the great master’s sense of drama and light work.

Biden calls Masters champ Hideki Matsuyama ‘Japanese boy’
President Biden on Friday awkwardly hailed Masters golf champion Hideki Matsuyama as a “Japanese boy” during a press conference in the Rose Garden with Japan’s Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga.
Matsuyama, 29, won the Masters Tournament on Sunday at Georgia’s Augusta National Golf Club.
“Yoshi, I know how proud you are — the people of Japan are — and you’ve got a Japanese boy coming over here and guess what? He won the Masters. He won the Masters. He won the green jacket,” Biden said in the Rose Garden.
“And Matsuyama was the first Japanese player to take home that green jacket at the Masters tournament this week. So let me say congratulations to Japan as well on that feat.”
Biden’s description of the celebrated golfer drew criticism online.
“Hideki Matsuyama is 29. Joe Biden just called him a ‘Japanese boy.’ To the Japan PM’s face,” one viewer wrote on Twitter.
“Did Biden just use the term ‘Japanese boy’ to describe a grown ass man? oof,” wrote another.
Biden and Suga spoke privately about tensions with China and also about a rise in reported anti-Asian prejudice in the United States, they told reporters in the Rose Garden.
The Biden administration previously drew outrage from Asian Americans when senior White House adviser Jen O’Malley Dillon brushed off concern from Senate Democrats about the lack of prominent Asian American nominees.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) vowed to block Biden’s other nominees, saying Dillon made an “incredibly insulting” remark that, ‘Well, we’re very proud of Vice President Harris,’” whose mother was born in India.
Duckworth later backed down when the White House agreed to appoint a prominent in-house Asian-American liaison officer. On Wednesday, that person was revealed to be the relatively obscure Erika Moritsugu, who will serve as a deputy assistant to Biden.
Biden kicked off the Rose Garden event with another awkward remark to Suga, declaring, “The prime minister’s brought the sun out, so we can do about anything.”

Workshop on “Boys and girls – two different worlds” | Lesson outline (senior group):
Master class on the topic “Boys and girls – two different worlds”
Purpose: To promote a favorable course of the process of sex-role socialization of boys and girls, the formation of the principles of masculinity and femininity in preschoolers.
Introductory conversation.
Q: Hello, dear teachers! Let’s start by thinking about the difference between boys and girls? (answers of the members of the master class)
Boys and girls are very different from each other, this must be taken into account and always remembered.A girl is a future woman. Girls who want to become beautiful ladies do not shout, do not swear, try to be gentle, sympathetic. Girls do not get into a fight and never start it themselves.
The boy is a future man. And a real man will never offend a woman. He is always ready to help. He is strong and takes on all difficulties. A boy who wants to be like this will never offend a girl. He knows how to protect girls from troubles and dangers, forgives them their shortcomings.
1. Guessing riddles.
Q: Dear teachers, try to guess the trick riddles. Listen carefully and answer who it is – “boy” or “girl”.
In spring, dandelion wreaths are woven, of course, only … (girls).
Bolts, screws, gears can be found in the pocket of … (boys).
Skates drew arrows on the ice, only … (boys) played hockey.
Chatted for an hour without a break in colorful dresses … (girls).
For everyone, of course, only love to measure their strength … (boys).
Q: Well done!
2. Guess the “Double name”
Q: Teachers, we have one more fairytale task: “Some fairytale characters have double names. I will tell you the first part of the name, and you can guess what kind of fairytale hero we are talking about. To begin with, I will ask you to divide into boys and girls:
Only girls answer.
Elena. (Beautiful)
Sister. (Alyonushka)
Vasilisa. (Wise)
Tiny (Khavroshechka)
Marya.(Mistress)
And now the task for the boys.
Koschey. (Immortal)
Boy. (with a finger)
Brother. (Ivanushka)
Ivan. (Tsarevich)
Serpent. (Gorynych)
Q: Well done, Friendship won!
3. Q: What kind of women and men they will become in the future directly depends on how we bring up our children. I suggest you solve the pedagogical situation that takes place in the practice of preschool teachers.
Situation (listen carefully): A mother and a child meet with a teacher.
My son is two years old. I noticed that when playing with other children, he often plays with toys that are more suitable for girls: dolls, strollers, dishes, etc. Should I be worried about his wrong orientation and forbid him to play with these toys
Question What toys do boys need to grow up to be real men? What toys do girls need to grow up to be good mothers and housewives?
GIRLS
In the girls’ playroom, it is compulsory and must include games for the expectant mother, mistress, woman.Household utensils – dishes, cupboards, irons – will allow the girl to grow up as a hostess. Baby dolls and accessories for care – a bed and bed linen, a towel for bathing the baby and all sorts of attributes for walking – will help our girls become a good mother. Girls need to play cars and build houses. This is part of knowing not only the opposite sex, but also knowing the world. All other toys are also needed: mosaics, puzzles, creative kits, board games, balls, etc.
We need soft baby dolls that are easy to plant, put to sleep, bathe, clothe and undress.
BOYS
The future knight needs toys that will allow him to show masculinity, to feel like a hero and a rescuer of the world, and also those that will give the opportunity to take care. For example, military toys allow you to feel and live such important qualities as independence, confidence, independence, to provide protection to the weak, to survive the situation of success and victory. Such toys help children to survive the situation of cruelty, to learn how to work with aggression. The boys have always played “war”. Always running around with pistols and shouting “bang-bang-bang.” And that’s okay. A man is a warrior. To grow up not only as a real man, but also as a happy person open to the world, a boy needs to learn to show feelings, emotions (soft toys will help here, try all the roles, including the role of dad! Boys need to play with dolls and soft toys. to say about sets with sewing and knitting This traditionally “non-male” lesson is very useful for boys 5-7 years old.Firstly, the ability to sew a button will always be useful for a real man, and secondly, these activities contribute to the development of fine motor skills, which, for certain reasons, is less developed in men than in women.
4. And now I invite everyone to play the game “Mine family “(psychological game)
Hug your neighbor on the right
Hug your neighbor on the left
You and I are friends, yes, yes, yes
You and I are one family yes, yes, yes
I, you, he, she- -Friendly family.
Tickle right neighbor
Tickle left neighbor
Repeat
Kiss right neighbor,
Kiss left neighbor
Repeat
5.Total
What is the bottom line? From the practice of preschool teachers’ work, from the materials of the research of educational psychologists on gender education of preschool children, I can give the following recommendations for the upbringing of boys and girls not only in kindergarten, but in the family as well, we are all parents. I would like to end my speech with the thought that the golden mean is good everywhere
“This is how a child grows up –
it will certainly become
beautiful and kind,
if there is no one
who will prevent it.»Herman Broch
solution of pedagogical situations.
Situation # 1:
Family situation.
Mother:
– Sonny, collect toys, it’s time to sleep.
The son does not respond.
– Son, I’m talking to whom. Collect toys and sleep! Father, tell him something. You are not at all involved in education. The father must bring up the son.
Father:
– And I am not a teacher. Let the educators take care of the children, they are paid money for this. And I’m tired at work.
Mother (addressing her son):
– You won’t listen to your mother, you will grow up to be a lazy person like your father!
Father:
– And if you listen to your mother, you will grow up henpecked.
Question:
– Who do you think is right in this situation, mother or father?
(both are wrong, since both should be engaged in gender education).
Situation # 2: A mother and a child meet with a teacher. The teacher, addressing the child: You probably want to play with the guys? Go play.
– No, I’ll shoot them now !!!!
Educator: Why do you want to shoot them?
– And just like that, because I am a robber!
Mom: He would only have to shoot and play the war, he is not interested in other games. The battle is growing, too much!
– And you, apparently, encourage him in this – said the teacher, meaning a saber, a pistol with caps, a homemade shield lying in his mother’s bag.
– Yes, of course – he demands, you have to buy. He’s a boy!
– Have you tried to switch it to other games, quieter? And the toys would be different for him, which are conducive to quiet games!
– Why. Let him play what he wants! What does it matter?
Question: What, in your opinion, is the significance of such games. What can they teach the boy?
(Such toys help children survive the situation of cruelty, learn to show aggression.
The future knight needs toys that will allow him to show masculinity, to feel like a hero and a rescuer of the world, and also those that will give him the opportunity to take care. For example, military toys allow you to feel and live such important qualities as independence, confidence, independence, to protect the weak, to survive the situation of success and victory).
8. Game with teachers “Role-playing games”
Team of boys: Name the role-playing games that girls most often play.
Team of girls: Name the role-playing games that boys most often play.
– What are the role-playing joint games for boys and girls?
9. Conducting didactic games
Didactic game “Who needs what is needed for the game”
One representative from both teams are invited.
What toys do boys need to grow up to be real men? (choose and place pictures with the image of toys) What toys do girls need to grow up to be good mothers and housewives? (choose and place pictures with the image of toys).
Didactic game “Flower of Friendship”
The teacher says that boys and girls do not quarrel and learn to understand and appreciate each other. To do this, each in turn needs to take a petal and name the good quality of a girl or boy.Children (participants in the master class) list positive qualities by connecting the petals with the middle. When the flower is collected, the teacher invites all “boys” and “girls” to join hands, as tactile contact reinforces the acquired experience of mutual understanding.
Features of haircuts for Yorkie boys and girls, photo – Master Chubchik
Yorkies are an elegant and cute breed of miniature dogs known for their long hair hanging over the eyes and muzzle. Correctly styling and performing a Yorkie’s haircut is a whole art that should not be trusted by less trained groomers. You can have the procedure done by professionals in the Master Chubchik salon before the exhibition or as a regular care.
Nuances and photos of haircuts for Yorkies, boys and girls
The first haircut in a pet’s life is the most important. The subsequent impressions of the animal and its general attitude towards attempts to trim the fur in the future depend on the quality and care of its implementation. Our masters will perform the procedure stress-free, taking care of your pet and without wasting time. Peace of mind is guaranteed for both the little client and his owner.
Any haircut for Yorkies (girls and boys) includes primary hygiene with washing with professional shampoo and the use of beauty products if necessary. The haircut itself takes place with a machine with a low noise level, which does not frighten even sensitive dogs. In the process, the master removes the regrown hairs so that they do not interfere with walking and vision, and also gives shape to the remaining ones. Usually the owners of decorative dogs order a creative or model haircut to highlight the beauty of the breed.
The texture of Yorkie’s hair is reminiscent of a human – it is soft, it is quite easy to shape and maintain its shape. However, due to the increased subtlety and softness, they need regular care, a hygienic haircut is indicated at least once every 2-4 months in order to prevent the formation of tangles and irritation of the eye with overgrown bangs. The specific haircut method is selected individually. Scissors, combs, special cutters, etc. can be used. In the case of a haircut for a Yorkie male, you can focus on a lush mane or leave more splendor on the paws, and gently trim the fur on the muzzle along a single line.If an exhibition haircut is supposed for a York girl, then it can be long decorated ponytails or neat curls, or even pigtails. You can consult with the master before choosing.

We know everything about proper hair care and we take care of every little client like our own pet.

90,000 “Invited the boys home to feed the cat.”In Nizhny Tagil, a pedophile was sentenced to 21 years in prison | News of Nizhny Tagil and the Sverdlovsk Region
Tagilstroyevsky District Court of Nizhny Tagil sentenced a 49-year-old local resident to 21 years in a colony for sexual acts against underage boys. The man was accused under the articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violent acts of a sexual nature committed against a person under the age of fourteen”, “Sodomy with a person under the age of sixteen, committed by a person who has reached the age of eighteen”, “Depraved acts committed against two or more persons ”,“ Violation of privacy ”,“ Illegal production and circulation of pornographic materials via the Internet ”.In total, law enforcement officers managed to prove 14 criminal episodes. It is known that the man lived at the State Geological Museum, and worked at Uralvagonzavod.
As the investigator of the Tagilstroyevsky department of the Investigative Committee Alexander Gammershmidt told the Academy of Sciences “Between the lines”, the employees of the “K” department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs managed to find a pedophile in 2019. In January 2021, the case was sent to court.
“A man in social networks under an assumed name got to know teenagers, entered into trust, and then invited them to him.For example, he invited one 12-year-old boy to feed a cat, ”the investigator explained.
Then the man had sexual intercourse with the boys, sometimes by mutual consent, but more often with the use of violence. He also conducted intimate correspondence with teenagers, asked them to shoot intimate videos for him, which he then posted on the Internet. Once he invited an 18-year-old boy home, and when he fell asleep, undressed him, photographed and posted the photo on the Internet.
“The man denied everything, did not sign any documents, repeatedly changed his lawyer, behaved in a conflict.Psychological and psychiatric examination was carried out twice, which found him sane, but with deviations in terms of sexual attraction to adolescents, ”says Gammerschmidt.
“It was possible to expose the molester of adolescents thanks to the competent work of the employees of the” K “subdivision of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Sverdlovsk Region, working in the territory of Nizhny Tagil. The materials meticulously collected by them allowed the investigator of the Investigative Committee to make a decision to initiate a criminal case, after which the suspect was detained in his apartment near the Galyano-Gorbunovsky massif microdistrict. It took more than a year for the investigators and investigators of the Investigative Committee to collect a complete evidentiary base and to bring charges against the detained citizen of the crimes he had committed, ”explained the Academy of Sciences“ Between the lines ”in the press group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs“ Nizhnetagilskoye ”.
The verdict has not entered into legal force.
