90,000 Madonna’s daughter is now a student at the University of Michigan
The eldest child of pop singer Madonna – 17-year-old daughter Lourdes Leon entered the university where the performer herself studied. The girl became a student at the University of Michigan and has even moved to campus. Now, along with other students of the University, Lourdes will attend lectures and practice the skills of singing, dance and theatrical arts.
55-year-old mother Lourdes is delighted that her daughter has decided to follow in her footsteps. Apparently, the girl’s early moral preparation and campaigning for Anna Arbor College was not in vain. Last year, Madonna and Lourdes were seen on the campus of this university. Then, in an interview, the singer said: “I want my daughter to study there.I tell her all the time that this college is an amazing place to help her discover her talent. ”
The girl herself has repeatedly said that she is ready and is looking forward to the beginning of a new path in her life. However, the other day on her Instagram page, Lourdes admitted that she was incredibly nervous: “I feel like graduating from school is what I always wanted. I finally went to college, but right now I’m a little nervous about the unknown that awaits me. I know what will help me to cope with the excitement – these are my friends, with whom we will sit on the lawn under the sun and rejoice that we are here. “
Note that the famous mother of the girl, nee Louise Veronica Ciccone, was also a student at the University of Michigan, studying ballet art. Despite the protests of her strict father, she decided to take up this “extremely frivolous”, in his opinion, profession. Although Madge was considered one of the most skillful dancers, 1.5 years on campus were not easy for her. The spirit of rebelliousness, expressed then in the desire to shock with unusual hairstyles and torn tights, ran counter to the values and traditions of the university. As a second-year student, she dropped out and moved to New York, where the Madonna that we all now know was “born” later.
In addition to Madonna, the students of this university in different years were rock legend Iggy Pop, actresses Lucy Liu and Selma Blair, as well as other celebrities.

The secret of the popularity of the world legend lies not only in her divine voice and natural love for dance, but also in her amazing ability to be different, changing under the conditions of different generations. She attracts the attention of the public, constantly shocking and insulting her, shattering one taboo after another.
Her style is like a stinging slap in the face from an angry mistress. Madonna is difficult to bear, but impossible to ignore. She shamelessly changes one of her images to another, and we are all eagerly awaiting her next incarnation. She is the only star who, thanks to her ambition and ambition, made herself.
With her manner and behavior, Madonna has an influence much wider than just her songs. It evokes hatred, but at the same time raises questions about the most important aspects of our life, for example, the influence of religion on our lives.
Born Madonna August 16, 1958, Bay City, Michigan, USA). “Madonna” is the real name of the singer, who was named after her mother, Madonna Louise Fortin. The name “Veronica” was chosen in childhood for confirmation (the sacrament of anointing), and it is not official. The family called her “Little Nonnie” so as not to be confused with Madonna Sr. The name of the singer is of French-Canadian origin, since her mother’s family was descended from the Canadian French. Madonna’s father, Silvio “Tony” Ciccone, is an Italian American who worked as a design engineer at the Chrysler plant.Mother – Madonna Fontin-Ciccone worked in a local clinic as a radiologist. Madonna’s parents met at a wedding, where Tony Ciccone played the role of his colleague’s best man. The singer has three siblings (Anthony, Martin and Christopher), two sisters (Paula and Melanie), half-brother Mario and sister Jennifer.
Madonna became the third child in the family. She grew up in a Catholic family in the suburbs of Detroit. The singer is a distant relative of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. Madonna’s mother died of breast cancer at the age of 30 in 1963.
Little Madonna loved her mother very much. For the girl, this was a tragedy. At the age of five, she became the main woman in the house, and even tried to educate her brothers and sisters. At the Madonna school, the ball is a round honors pupil. She really wanted her father to be proud of her. In the backyard of her house, little Madonna often put on impromptu performances – she climbed onto the table and performed a number in the spirit of Shirley Temple, the finale of which was a raised skirt and peeking underwear. “Spectators” were always amused by this, and little Madonna remembered what they liked so that they could use it on occasion. In 1966, her father married the maid of the family, Joan Gustafson. It was not easy for Madonna to adapt to her stepmother. The rude, athletic blonde was the complete opposite of Madonna’s affectionate and gentle mother. Little Madonna could not forgive her stepmother that she took her place in her father’s heart. This tense situation was further complicated with the birth of a half-brother and sister – Mario and Jennifer.
As a girl, Madonna attended St Frederick’s School, St Andrew’s School and West Middle School. She attended Rochester Adams High School as a full-time student and cheerleader. Madonna convinced her father to let her take ballet lessons. At the age of 14, Madonna entered Christopher Flynn’s dance class. He made her believe in herself, in her own beauty and uniqueness. As Madonna got older, Christopher Flynn began taking her with him to gay nightclubs in Detroit. There she was educated about sex by spying on gays. At the age of 16, young Madonna seduced her mentor, who even briefly changed his orientation and became bisexual. After school, Madonna entered the University of Michigan. Christopher Flynn convinced her to go to New York and Madonna left the university.
In the summer of 1978, young but determined Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone stepped off a plane at New York airport. She only had $ 35 with her, a winter coat, and a small suitcase of dancing gear. Madonna took a taxi, and not knowing Manhattan, she simply told the driver to take her to the very center. The taxi driver took her to Times Square. The trip cost her $ 15. Thus began the stellar journey of the most outstanding singer in history.
In an interview, Madonna said: “When I arrived in New York, it was the first time when I flew on a plane, for the first time I even called a taxi, everything was for the first time. And I arrived with 35 dollars in my pocket. It was my most courageous act in my life. ” What just did Madonna do! She had to work as a model. Among those for whom she posed were not only artists, but also photographers such as Billy Stone and Martin Schreiber. She lived from hand to mouth and sometimes even rummaged in garbage cans in search of food.
She had almost no money and lived in poverty, working at Dunkin ‘Donuts and with dance companies. While performing as a dancer for French disco artist Patrick Hernandez on his 1979 world tour, Madonna fell in love with musician Dan Gilroy, with whom she later formed her first rock band, Breakfast Club. breakfasts “).In it, she sang and played drums and guitar before forming the band Emmy (“Emmy” is one of Madonna’s nicknames) in 1980 with drummer and ex-boyfriend Stephen Bray. He and Bray wrote and produced dance songs that caught the attention of New York City nightclubs. DJ and producer Mark Kamins was impressed by her demos, so he introduced Madonna to Sire Records founder Seymour Stein.
Over the next year Madonna recorded new dance-style demos and tried to distribute them with the help of Gotem Productions.Soon Madonna left the company, and, deciding to start all over again, with the help of Bray made another demo recording. It includes four “street” dance tunes: “Everybody” , “Ain’t No Big Deal” , “Stay” , and “Burning Up” . Madonna single-handedly launched a campaign to get the right people to listen to the tape. To do this, she chose the Danceteria in Manhattan, which continued the tradition of press-crossing establishments such as Studio 54, Madd Club and Xenon.
Opened in 1981 by one of the nightlife impresario Rudolph, Dunsteria quickly rose to fame as the most talked about and written about ultra-modern establishment. Madonna’s most significant acquaintance in Dunsteria was Mark Kaymins, the king of New Wave disc jockeys. After a few days of living together, Madonna did not hesitate to slip her demo tape to Keymins. He didn’t just listen to it – he played it in Dunsteria. The crowd was delighted with the artisanal recording, and Keymins was convinced that Madonna had all the makings of a star.
Kaymins took Madonna’s cassette to Chris Blackwell, the Island’s chief executive, who immediately wrapped it up. Then Kamins delivered the cassette to Warner Bros. He befriended an up-and-coming artist and Warner Seer repertoire director, Michael Rosenblatt. Keymins called Rosenblatt and invited him to come to Dunsteria to meet a young singer, from whom, as Keymins promised, Michael would be “stunned”. A few days later, Rosenblatt took the “Wham!” to “Dunsteria”; Lead vocalist George Michael spotted a pretty young woman wearing a stylish cap and eye-catching unpaired stockings.Even before Keymins introduced them, Rosenblatt realized that this woman of “unimaginable appearance” is Madonna . He introduced himself, introduced the stunned George Michael, and then invited her to come to his office with a demo tape.
Rosenblatt, Keymins, and Madonna scribbled the clauses of the contract on standard yellow letterhead. Under the terms of contract , Madonna 90,080 received an advance payment of $ 5,000, and for each song she wrote, a royalty and publication fee of $ 1,000.The president of Warner Sear, Seymour Stein and Rosenblatt, were apparently confident of the potential of their discovery, but not enough to go all-in and release Madonna’s 90,079 album at once. Rosenblatt developed a plan to promote Madonna through the release of dance singles.
The first single was supposed to be Stein’s favorite song “Ain’t No Big Deal” from the demo tape, on the back of “Everybody” , which was not hoped for from the very beginning. The producer for the work on Madonna’s first disc was Mark Keymins.
The result of their two weeks of work was a single, which, in their belief, should have raised her into the top 40 performers in the blink of an eye. But after listening to what Madonna considered a 100% hit, Rosenblatt became disheartened. “Ain’t No Big Deal” turned out to be like that. There was no time to re-record, they took and put “Everybody” on both sides of the single. They decided not to put Madonna’s photo on the cover of the single, as many, listening to her songs, thought that she was a black woman. In this way, a large audience could be won.
Rosenblatt’s extraordinary decision paid off handsomely. In a matter of weeks “Everybody” soared to the top of the dance music popularity charts.
The firm was so pleased with the steady advancement of “Everybody” to the top of the dance hit charts and Madonna’s incendiary performances at Dunsteria that they decided to record it on video, albeit with reservations. Rosenblatt and Sir Seymour Stein agreed that the video clip should be aimed not at the general audience, but directly at the visitors of dance clubs across the country. As for costs, out of millions of Warners, they allocated for 90,079 the first Madonna video 90,080 a paltry sum of $ 1,500, which was less than one percent of the appropriation for video filming of Michael Jackson, Prince, Duran-Duran, Lionel Richie, Polis or other stars that time.
To produce Madonna’s first video on schedule and within budget, they selected Ed Steinberg, the articulate president of Rock America and the provider of video clips for hundreds of clubs from coast to coast. He already knew Madonna a little. Advertised by the video, the composition “Everybody” soared to the 3rd place in the charts of dance hits, and then moved to 107th place in the main chart of the Billboard magazine.
To justify the significant production and distribution costs of the album, Seymour Stein wanted to make sure that Everybody’s success was not accidental and that Madonna was able to captivate more than just clubgoers. To test the waters, he gave the go-ahead for a 12-inch maxi-single. If his success even remotely resembles the success of “Everybody”, then Madonna’s debut album will be given the green light.
Aware of what was at stake, Madonna met with Warner and insisted that a more experienced producer be recruited to replace Keymins. One of these was Reggie Lucas. Madonna wanted to get it. Without wasting time, Madonna’s new producer wrote a hit for her. Reggie Lucas saw her perform at Dunsteria and this inspired him to create “Physical Attraction” , which was placed on the second side of the single, on the first one was another song from the “Burning Up” demo tape. The second single also peaked at # 3 on the dance hit charts, echoing the success of “Everybody”, and Rosenblatt was given the go-ahead to release the album.
Madonna’s debut album was released in 1983, and the song “Holiday” hit the top ten singles in Europe. 1984 Madonna released her second album Like A Virgin. The title track of the album earned Madonna # 11 on the US charts. For the next single “Material Girl”, a video was filmed, in which Madonna appeared in the form of the great Marilyn.Madonna becomes a world star. Her next singles (Crazy For You, Into The Groove, Dress You Up, Live To Tell, Papa Don’t Preach, True Blue, Open Your Heart, La Isla Bonita “) hit the charts all over the world.
The video clip for the song “Like A Prayer” received harsh condemnation from the Catholic Church, and Pepsi canceled an advertising contract with Madonna. However, all this hype made the album an absolute bestseller. This was followed by the world tour “ Blond Ambition “, which was a mixture of music and sex.
In 1992, Madonna published her famous provocative book “ Sex “, which is simply swept off the shelves. However, released in the same 1992, the album “Erotica” became her first album that did not reach the top of the charts.
Released in 1994, Bedtime Stories, a pop, R&B and hip-hop album, brings Madonna back to the top of the charts.
The 1995 album “Something To Remember” mainly stood out with the song “You’ll See”.It went platinum in 2000.
“Ray Of Light” – the album of 1998 became one of the best works of Madonna, expanding the boundaries of the musical horizon. In 2000, “Music” was released and Madonna embarked on a world tour “ Drowned World ” in support of this album. In the spring of 2003, Madonna recorded the album “American Life”, which sold worse than previous discs.
In support of this album, Madonna embarks on the “ Re-Invention ” tour of America, Britain, Ireland, France, Holland and Portugal. Her concerts, as always, gather full houses.
In 2004 Madonna tried herself as a writer, she published five children’s books (“English Roses”, “Mr. Peabody’s Apples”, “Jacob and the Seven Thieves”, “The Adventures of Abdi”, “Lotza Tight Pouch”).
In 2005, during her birthday celebrations, Madonna fell from her horse and was taken to the hospital with fractures of her arms, collarbone and ribs.
Soon after the injury, the cheerful Madonna was already filming the video for the song “Hung Up” from her new album “ Confessions On A Dance Floor “.She had to do a novocaine blockade, the only way she could dance.
The single “Hung Up” uses a sample from Abba’s song “Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight)”. Former band members Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulweis were known for their inflexibility in licensing the band’s tracks, but they could not refuse Madonna herself.
“Confessions On A Dance Floor” became one of the most successful albums in Madonna’s career – it sold over 5 million copies and topped the charts in 40 countries. And Madonna’s Confessions Tour is the most lucrative solo singer’s tour in history. He brought Madonna $ 260 million. However, the Vatican and representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church called for a boycott of Madonna’s performances because of one of her numbers – Madonna crucified on a cross during the performance of the song “Live To Tell”.
In 2007, Madonna recorded the song “ Hey You ”, which could only be downloaded from the Internet. The song was timed to coincide with the London concert “Live Earth”.In 2007, Madonna made her directorial debut – the film “ Dirt and Wisdom ”, in which the main role was played by the leader of the group “Gogol Bordello” Eugene Gudz. The film premiered at the 2008 Berlin Film Festival. Critics trashed the film and Madonna decided not to release it, but to distribute it on the Internet.
Over the years of her musical activity , singer Madonna has tried herself in different genres and directions, has become a laureate of many awards, including seven Grammy awards. In 1998, Madonna was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the owner of the longest continuous series of singles that entered the top ten (from “Like A virgin” (1984) to “Secret” (1994)), also Madonna In 2008, she overtook Elvis Presley in the total number of hits in the top ten, and in this indicator she became the second, second only to the Beatles. According to Madonna’s record company Warner Brothers Records, in 2005, worldwide sales of her albums exceeded 200 million copies. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.Although Madonna’s acting career has been less successful than her musical career, she has appeared in more than twenty films and won the prestigious Golden Globe Award for her performance in the musical Evita.
Madonna hardly rests, because, by her own admission, two days later she begins to languish from idleness. Four in the morning is the usual time for the restless singer to wake up, then jogging in the park. And only after a 45-minute yoga class and a call to her guru at the London Kabbalah Center, Madonna calls the children for breakfast. Then business calls and negotiations begin. At noon, it’s time to work on lyrics and song arrangements, scripts and movie roles.
Madonna’s first marriage with actor Sean Penn lasted four years. They met on the set of the Material Girl music video in Los Angeles and immediately fell in love. Madonna , walking down the stairs in a satin dress – a copy of Marilyn Monroe’s dress in the movie “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”, accidentally bumped into Sean Pen.He was 24 years old, she was 26 years old. Madonna claimed that Sean reminded her of her father when she was young. This union had a beneficial effect on Madonna’s career. However, the fierce interest of the press and television in their marriage, explained by the attention to Madonna, and not to Sean Penn, whom the newspapers called “Mr. Madonna”, became intolerable for the singer’s husband. The journalists called the scandalous couple nothing more than “filthy Penns”. Madonna’s romance with actor Warren Beatty also led nowhere. Then Madonna became close with the comedian Sandra Bernard.Madonna stated: “I am not a lesbian, but it seemed beneath my dignity to talk about it. I thought that even if I really were a lesbian, what of this? What problems? It’s nobody’s business! ”
Madonna was 38 years old when she gave birth to her first child – daughter Lourdes . The baby’s father was Madonna’s personal sports coach, Carlos Leone. Madonna did not consider it necessary to marry him. Having met the English director Guy Ritchie, Madonna married him.The celebration took place on December 22, 2000 at the Scottish castle Skibo near the town of Dornoch. The ceremony was attended by Sting and Trudie Styler, who introduced the newlyweds. Guy Ritchie came from the middle class. His family was associated with the Scottish Army. Guy was named after two ancestors who served in the ranks of the Seaforth highlanders. On the day of the wedding, the bride changed three wedding dresses – an outfit from Stella McCartney, a suit from Versace and a dress from Jean-Paul-Gaultier.
Guy Ritchie and Madonna exchange diamond wedding rings. They were married by a woman pastor.
The wedding cost £ 2.5 million. On August 11, 2000, Madonna gave birth to son Rocco at Los Angeles Medical Center. In addition, the couple adopted a little boy from a poor African family.
But this marriage also fell apart. According to rumors, Guy could not overcome the envy of his wife’s success. The last straw was Madonna’s directorial debut with the film “Dirt and Wisdom”. In the fall of 2008, Madonna and Guy Ritchie officially terminated their relationship. All common children, except for Lourdes, by a court decision must alternately live with their father and with their mother. Madonna pledged to pay Guy 10 million pounds annually to raise children. Soon after the divorce, Madonna struck up a new romance – this time with a young Brazilian fashion model Jesus Lucas . In June 2009, Madonna adopted a Malawian girl, Mercy James.
In October 2007 Madonna parted ways with Warner Music, and she signed a new contract with Live Nation concert promoters. But, to close the contract with “Warner Music” she lacked one album and a compilation. This album was “Hard Candy”, released on April 28, 2008. To record this album, Madonna called on her dream team – Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Pharrell Williams and Kenny West .
Thanks to the single “ 4 Minutes ” Madonna broke Elvis Presley’s record for the most top ten singles (Elvis had 36), and “4 Minutes” became 37th. Elvis’ record was held for 40 years. On August 23, 2008, Madonna’s eighth world tour “Sticky and Sweet Tour” started in support of the album “Hard Candy”. 85 concerts were planned. On her world tour, Madonna was accompanied by 16 dancers, 12 musicians, several costume designers. The Sticky and Sweet Tour grossed $ 408,000,000, which is the second highest in music history (the first was the 2005-2007 Rolling Stones tour, which grossed $ 558,000,000). On August 2, 2009, Madonna’s concert took place in St. Petersburg , as part of her tour “Sticky and Sweet” more.
Together with her grown-up daughter Lourdes, Madonna designed a clothing collection for Ralph Lauren. She was named after the famous song of the same name – “ Material Girl “, which for many years was the “calling card” of Madonna. The collection from Madonna takes us back to the distant 80s and makes us remember the diverse wardrobe of the pop queen herself. Clothes, shoes and jewelry from the new collection are aimed more at teenagers, so their cost will not exceed $ 40. It is also planned to release a branded perfume. This collection will be on sale in the popular Macy’s department stores. Here is how Madonna herself described her collection: “ Material Girl clothes for those who are interested in fashion and music and have a sense of humor. Our clothes for adventurous girls! I love how Lola dresses and the Material Girl line is a reflection of her style. You know, Lourdes understands fashion much more than I do at the moment! “
On October 25, 2010, in Mexico City, Madonna announced the creation of a network of health and fitness centers around the world. One of these centers has also appeared in Russia. The network of fitness centers was named after Madonna’s eleventh studio album with a sweet title – “Hard Candy”.
Everything from the interior of the premises to the choice of music for training reflects the tastes of Madonna herself. The first “sweet fitness club” opened on November 29 in Mexico. The official website of the fitness center chain is www.hardcandyfitness.com.
To maintain her ideal figure, Madonna trains every day, without interrupting her studies, even during the tour.Throughout her life, she has visited thousands of fitness centers and worked with the best trainers. Now she has turned her unique experience into the ideology of a new fitness movement. Her love of fitness and her alliance with the best experts in the industry have laid a solid foundation for her fitness club. On August 6, 2012 Madonna visited Moscow for the official opening of the Moscow Hard Candy Fitness.
On March 26, 2012 the twelfth studio album by Madonna MDNA was released. This album was the first to be released under a contract with Interscope Records and Live Nation. The contract is for three albums. At the end of 2011, Billboard magazine named Madonna’s new album the most anticipated album of 2012. As part of the world tour in support of the new album, Madonna gave concerts on August 7, 2012 in Moscow (SC “Olympiyskiy”) and on August 9, 2012 in St. Petersburg (SCC “Petersburg”) more details.
From the English-speaking press Madonna received the nicknames “Materialist” ( Material Girl ) and “Queen of Pop” (Queen of Pop). She is also known as a follower and promoter of Kabbalah, an activist of many charitable and human rights organizations, one of which is the “Revival of Malawi” (Raising Malawi).
Madonna : “I have 20 years of experience living hand in hand with fame and success. Which gives me the right to express my opinion. Everyone dreams of becoming famous – it’s like crazy. And I say: what nonsense! The only thing I regret is making some mistakes. But thinking about it is a waste of time.I got enough slaps, I was a fool and a fool in the eyes of so many. ”. It is difficult to imagine how the fate of the famous artist will turn out, but it is safe to say that Madonna will bring many more surprises to all of us.

Biography
Childhood and career
Madonna was born in Bay City, Michigan, USA. Her mother, Madonna Louise (nee Fortin) was descended from Canadian French; father, Silvio “Tony” Ciccone, an American Italian, worked as a design engineer at the Chrysler / General Motors plant. Madonna became the third child of six children in the family.

Reggie Lucas saw her perform at Dunsteria, and her sweaty figure also inspired him to create Physical Attraction, which was placed on the second side of the single, the first being another song from the Burning Up demo tape. The second single also peaked at # 3 on the dance hit charts, echoing the success of “Everybody”, and Rosenblatt was given the go-ahead to release the album

Madonna was born on August 16, 1958 in a town on the shores of Lake Huron, Michigan, USA.Mother, Madonna Louise Ciccone, French Canadian, worked as a radiography technician; father, Silvio Ciccone, Italian-American, worked as a design engineer for the defense design bureau Chrysler / General Motors. Madonna was the third child in the family, there were six children in total. The singer’s mother came from a Jansenist clan from among the first French settlers and was devout to fanaticism; in the pre-Vatican period, sex was considered immoral. The first girl in the family was named after her mother Madonna Louise, this name has never changed officially. The name “Veronica” was chosen by Madonna Louise Ciccone at the age of 12 for the traditional Catholic sacrament of chrismation and is not official. Madonna Ciccone said:
“ I can’t remember being teased about my name. True, I went to Catholic school . It was only when I got to New York that I realized that I had a completely unusual name. Apart from my mother, I do not know anyone else whose name is Madonna. When I got into the music business, everyone thought I had chosen as an artist name “ .
Madonna Ciccone the Elder, having received radiation at work, died of breast cancer at the age of 30. After 2 years, the widowed father married the maid of the family Joan Gustafson, and they had two more children. The stepmother took care mainly of her own children, which burdened the little Madonna, who did not call the woman “mother”, as her father demanded. The family was quite wealthy, but Gustafson brought savings on clothes and food to the family (everyone ate only semi-finished products and almost did not wear purchased clothes). This circumstance exacerbated the atmosphere due to the rejection of the new wife by Fortin’s French-Canadian relatives, and later influenced Madonna’s thrifty attitude to money, which created the singer a reputation as a prudent business woman to the detriment of her credibility as a musician. The singer grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, where she studied at the Catholic schools of St. Frederick and St. Andrew, and West, where she was a member of a basketball team cheerleader, graduated from high school in Rochester Adams high school.Madonna Ciccone was an excellent student, and the teachers took on the role of a mother in her upbringing. The singer named the teacher of Russian history Marilyn Fallows one of the two most important people of her childhood. The singer was considered a girl of the same age “with regards”, she was disliked for her brilliant academic performance and the position of the teachers’ favorite. Madonna was subjected to harsh bullying by two older brothers, drug addicts, who were jealous of their father, which, according to biographers, gave her early dislike of drugs.
A key event in Madonna Ciccone’s childhood was her performance at the West School Talent Show at the age of 14. On it, an artist covered in green and pink paint in a top and shorts shocked the audience by performing a dance to the famous song “Baba O’Riley (English) Russian.” The Who. In the city they discussed the performance for a month, the father put his daughter under house arrest, the reputation in the city suffered. “Heroine of the day”, brothers and sisters began to tease: “Madonna is a whore.” At the age of 14, Madonna as pop lyric poet was influenced by her friendship with the future acclaimed poet Win Cooper.) Russian., who studied with her in the same school, a class older. According to Cooper, the girl was shy and a little distant, avoided society, dressed modestly and especially loved the books by Aldous Huxley and the novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover. From the age of four, Madonna Ciccone began to imitate Shirley Temple’s dances, but took up ballet at almost 15 years old, which was acceptable for modern jazz choreography. Choreographer Christopher Flynn had the greatest influence on her. Flynn took her to classical concerts, exhibitions and gay clubs.Flynn was gay 30 years older, so the student’s crush remained unrequited. The appearance of the excellent student has changed in the direction of a slovenly bohemian appearance that frightens others. At the age of 15, the singer’s first boyfriend was 17-year-old Russell Long, and at the suggestion of Madonna Ciccone, the whole school and father learned about the first lover. According to Lucy O’Brien, the struggle against the separation of women according to the “virgin / whore” criterion and the desire to tell others about her love experiences have become the main themes of the singer’s work.
Madonna Ciccone graduated from high school in 1976 a few months before her final exams. With an excellent certificate, a successful IQ test and brilliant teacher recommendations, she continued her dance education on a budgetary basis at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Professor Flynn received a position at the college and gave patronage to his beloved student. The choice of a “frivolous” profession opened a crack in the singer’s relationship with her father, who wanted to see his daughter as a doctor or lawyer. According to the recollections of choreographer Gaia Delang, young Ciccone was “very slim and light, her dance was infectious.
