Kids Camp | Bayside Community Church
June 12-15 at North River Campus
June 13-16 at Lakewood Ranch Campus
Bayside Kids Camp is a four day kids conference from 9am – 5pm, located at our Lakewood Ranch Campus, and this year at our North River Campus as well!
Children will learn Biblical truths, build relationships, and grow closer to God, all while having the time of their lives!
This event is available for kids who have completed Kindergarten – 5th Grade.
How old does my child need to be to attend?
Bayside Kids Camp is for kids who have completed Kindergarten – 5th grade in the prior school year. Kids ages infant – 5 years old may attend our Little Camp, which happens during Bayside Kids Camp, if their parent is a full time volunteer at Bayside Kids Camp.
Will childcare be provided before Bayside Kids Camp?
Childcare will not be provided before or after Bayside Kids Camp unless you are serving with us.
Doors open at 8:30 AM each morning, and the program will end each day at 5pm. Please be prompt when picking up your child.
Will lunch or snack be served?
Snacks will be served each day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You will need to pack a lunch for your child each day. If your child has any type of food allergy please note that on your registration and be prepared to pack both a lunch and two snacks for your child each day. We are not able to serve any food to children who have any food allergy.
Can my child volunteer?
Youth who are 13 and an active member of the Bayside Kids Dream Team by June 1 of this year. If your youth would like to serve at Big Camp please have them complete the Bayside Kids application process.
Can my child be in the same group as their friends?
When you are registering your child you are provided a space to include the name of child who is the same grade level as your child. Before listing a friend in the same grade as your child please confirm that they are registered to attend the same campus as your child.
We will do our best to accommodate requests, but can not guarantee.
My child has a food allergy.
We want to support your family with excellence at Bayside Kids Camp and provide a safe experience. During registration you will be given the opportunity to indicate that your child has a food allergy. After completing your registration you will receive an email two weeks prior to Bayside Kids Camp that contains instruction on how to send approved snacks for your child, as well as additional paperwork that needs to be completed for your child.
Will you be able to administer medication to my child during camp?
Thank you for understanding that we will not be able to administer any over the counter or prescription medications during Bayside Kids Camp, except in the case of an Epi Pen or a rescue inhaler because they are life saving medications.
If your child has an Epi Pen or rescue inhaler place the item in a plastic zip top bag with your child’s first and last name and grade written on it, and drop it off at the Resource Center on the first day of camp.
When will my child receive their camp shirt?
You will be able to pick up your child’s t-shirt when they arrive on campus on the first day of camp. We encourage kids to wear their shirts each day of camp.
Can my child change locations after they have already registered?
If there is still space available at the other location we would be happy to cancel your child’s current registration and fully reimburse you. You are then free to register your child at the alternate location. Please be advised that you will need to register them at the current camp price.
Will transportation be provided from any of the campuses to either camp location?
Transportation will not be provided to Camp from any of our locations.
What does my child need to bring/ wear to camp?
Please have your child wear comfortable play clothes and tennis shoes to camp. It is strongly recommended that all campers wear appropriate shorts or pants to camp. If girls choose to wear a dress, we ask that they wear a pair of shorts underneath for modesty.
Flip flops, sandals, and dress shoes make it difficult for campers to run and play and therefore are not the best or safest option. Water shoes or crocs are recommended on your child’s Water Day.
Can my child bring electronics?
In Bayside Kids safety is our #1 priority. In an effort to keep all of our children safe we have a pocket rule for all cell phones and devices that connect to the Internet. If your child intends to bring an electronic device to Summer Camp please let them know that it must remain in their pocket, or their Camp bag, at all times. If a child does not abide by the “pocket rule” their electronic device will be taken for the remainder of the day and stored at the Resource Center. If your child needs to contact you at any point during the day they are free to come to the Resource Center and use their electronic device. If you need to get in touch with your child or the Bayside Kids staff at any point during camp please call 941-755-8600 and ask to be connected to the Summer Camp.
Why do I have to show a photo ID if I do not have my parent pick up sticker?
We want to ensure your child is picked up by a person that you, as his/her parent or guardian, has authorized to pick them up. Without a parent pick up sticker, we will request a photo ID to be sure the person picking your child up is authorized to do so. We will do this by cross referencing the persons name and information on their photo ID with the authorized pick up information given during registration.
What is your cancellation policy?
100% of your registration is refundable through June 5th. From June 5th – 12th , 50% per camper is refundable. No refunds can be administered after the first day of Bayside Kids Camp. Refunds must be requested by emailing [email protected].

1977 summer camp called Happy Bible Day. Young people are more busy talking and thinking about sex than reading prayers, and the pastor, dressed up as Elvis, spends his time smoking one joint after another. But suddenly, when several guys were already dragging girls eager for carnal love into bed, a woman appeared in the camp in a monastic cassock and with a cross in her hands. Yes, not just with a cross, but with a cross that smashes literally on the spot, because instead of a tip it has a sharp knife. The guardian of morality knocks out the eye of her first victim with a powerful blow to the back of the skull, opens the throat of the second, “Elvis” is strangled with a chain from a pectoral cross, a voyeur who loves to spy on couples tumbling in bed pierces the chest, kills one of her lovers in the toilet, more one slashes his chest and stomach with a knife, cuts off his girlfriend’s head … They say that only poor Duane remained alive, whom the killer caught by surprise at the most crucial moment – when the guy is riding the girl.
Since then, he hasn’t moved, doesn’t say anything, his face is covered in terrible scars, his eyes look nowhere, and saliva falls from his lips. It is he, and also two of his brothers, healthy but dim-witted bullies, who are the first to be met, seven years after the massacre, by respectable Christian students and their mentors, heading to that same camp to buy it out and reopen it. This is the pastor of the Catholic Church of St. Jesus Father Cummings, his assistants Milly and brother Zeke, as well as their wards: fat Timmy, forever stuck in childhood, frivolous blonde Brittany, going crazy with an excess of hormones and testosterone Ted, “problem” girl Jennifer and quiet Vance. Sister Mary Chopper? Ha, what a sister, don’t tell fairy tales. Only some of them know that these are not fairy tales. And on the very first night, the one who had already cut to the root all the wicked in the 77th appears, again embarking on her beloved business …

What will happen if inveterate fans of old slashers decide to make a purely entertaining, not at all scary, but bloody horror film, stuffed to capacity not only with blasphemy and politically incorrect jokes, but also with faces well known to every self-respecting horrorman? It will not necessarily be a bomb, there have been failures, and just mediocre ones.
However, “Bloody Bible Camp” is not one of them. This is a film from an obscure director, produced and co-produced by Reggie Bannister (Phantasm), Tim Sullivan (Chillerama) and David Hayes (Machine Reborn). Moreover, they all also played either major or minor, but memorable roles. For example, it was Bannister, phenomenally well-preserved for 67 (at the time of filming) years, who tried on the cassock of a priest. And among other “names” – Ron Jeremy himself, lit up in one of his best cameos in the last 10 years. Nothing more, nothing less, he is Jesus. Yes, yes, Jesus. Who, as they say, “probably had a huge cock.” This is the first phrase we hear. And from it you can understand whether it is worth watching the film further. Convinced Christians – obviously not worth it. During the first 10-15 minutes allotted for the prologue, not only nudity happens, but also the murder of eight people! Moreover, the last of them, absolutely without clothes, dies, barely running out onto the porch of the house, and the credits with the name of the film appear against the background of her .
.. guess what exactly. For this, you can forgive the fact that the second massacre will happen only during the final half hour. Moreover, we are waiting for dialogues like this: “What happens to those who do not ask for forgiveness before death? – And what if Hitler asked for forgiveness? “Then he’s in heaven!” Or: “What happens to homosexuals? “They become priests!” Indeed, one of the “devout believers” turns out to be a lesbian, while Cummings himself is not averse to flipping through a gay porn magazine before going to bed. The killings are just a sight to behold. Decapitations, the classic gutting, the explosion of the skull after a huge brick fell on it, and the most delicious thing is sex with a girl whose severed head falls in the process, but the guy still can’t stop. The humor is blackest, neither blacks, nor clergymen, nor the disabled are spared. And all this disgrace looks (from the filming of which everyone who participated in them obviously enjoyed it!) In one breath. Let us down except with the ending, but the micro-episode following in the course of the final credits will make many for the hundredth time break their tummy with laughter, turning into a contented grunt.
