ILIndoor’s sixth edition of the Top 50 players in lacrosse is based on voting from Stephen Stamp, Bob Chavez, Marty O’Neill and Teddy Jenner.
Each voter submitted a Top 50 list, and names on the list were awarded points based on the vote. A No. 1 vote was awarded 50 points, No. 2 got 49 points, etc. ILIndoor will publish 2 Top 50 profiles per day through the end of November, then move to 1 per day through December up to the National Lacrosse League season opener.
Included in each profile is statistics for the most recent season(s) and comments from each voter on the player being profiled.

NLL playoffs 3 1 0 1 21 4
WLA regular season 16 2 10 12

Teddy Jenner
Another underrated defender that gets lost in the shuffle of top level d-guys in the NLL. He plays a very physical, in-your-face game and when fans come up and tell me they can’t stand him, that’s just means he’s doing his job perfectly. His transition game has gotten better over the years and he’s one of the anchors of the very aggressive, physical Roughnecks D.
Stephen Stamp
Harnett is tough, steady and reliable and he can help push the ball up the floor. You know you’ll get a workmanlike effort from him and that he’ll be there to stand up for his teammates.
Bob Chavez
The left-hander out of Orangeville isn’t flashy or fancy, but he gets the job done defensively like few others in the game. He’ll battle for loosies and bring the lumber when marking one-on-one. He’s not the kind of player to lead a team in stats, but he’s solid with his slides to help and his physical and aggressive style lets opponents know they’re not going to get away with much, if anything.
Marty O’Neill
Harnett is getting some well deserved recognition here. Jon hasn’t missed many games in Red and Black even though he grinds with the best of them. Harnett is a competitor and a cagey smart defender. He gets under your skin and he gets the ground balls. His forte is man down play where he is as good as they come.

Power in Numbers: An Energy Aggregation Model for Businesses
With energy coming in as a top five expense for many businesses, you may consider joining an energy aggregation. In addition to a cost savings, the right energy aggregation model will be a time savings as well. An energy aggregation is a business model that groups businesses together for the purpose of gaining the advantages of bulk purchase pricing.
The reason this sounds intriguing, is because we harness the power of bulk pricing all the time for our essentials. Think toilet paper. Buying a single roll or two just doesn’t make sense — you’ll pay double the amount than you’d pay for a pack of 20. The same will apply for energy cost. A single small business buying energy will pay more than a grouping of 20 businesses. But imagine taking 500 or even 4,000 businesses to bid for energy.
Albireo Energy, the official operator of many city- and brand-endorsed energy aggregations — including District Buying Power, Boston Buying Power, Philly Buying Power, Dunkin’, and other private multi-location businesses — has a network of suppliers allowing them to group businesses and take them to bid for lower energy costs, and they do just that. Boston Buying Power, run by the experts at Albireo Energy, has successfully grouped thousands of businesses together into this city-endorsed aggregation. As the market fluctuates, businesses are saving around 10% compared to those on the utility rate alone, which depending on the business could be anywhere from a $50 to $5000+ per month savings.
How does it work?
Albireo Energy explains that “Once a company enrolls with an energy aggregation and a large collection of businesses is formed, we take that large database of accounts to our supplier network for an auction where they can bid and compete for the business. Because they’re trying to win so many accounts, the auction drives prices down resulting in documented savings of upward to 40% from what each business would be paying on their own.” It’s a win-win situation, where energy suppliers gain customers and customers receive a great price on their energy.
Learn more about energy aggregations by watching this short video
Why not just stick with the utility?
Not all states in the U.S. offer deregulated energy, but if you’re in a state that does, it’s important to know that you have a choice. Having a choice in where our energy is purchased is the same idea as shopping around for those essentials mentioned earlier. Getting a better deal saves you money, and for businesses, saving money on this large expense could represent the same bottom-line benefit as an increase in sales, according to Carbon Trust. Utility prices are not always the lowest and joining an energy aggregation is an easy way to ensure savings without requiring you to do the dirty work of shopping around.
What if I sell my business?
Like other services, there is a contract for enrolling, however, worked into many supply contracts are transfer agreements where the new owner could take over the existing supply contract. This becomes a great benefit to the buyer, as they too would gain the advantage of better pricing on their energy bills. If the buyer cannot take over the contract, there are other options.
Are all energy aggregations the same?
No. Some areas may have a few operating energy aggregations, but not each one is the same. In some cases, larger cities may select and endorse a specific program to run in their city. This type of program is often chosen after a long proposal process where the city vets and discusses terms on behalf of the businesses in their area. In addition, a good energy aggregation administrator will offer additional services just for being part of their group. For instance, Albireo Energy offers free access to their proprietary utility management software and free energy benchmarking (mandatory energy reporting which is required by many cities) to enrolled businesses.
Are energy aggregations just about the price?
No. Just as it is important for your business to create great vendor relations, it is important for an energy provider to offer excellent customer service and supply management. A good aggregation, like District Buying Power, operated by Albireo Energy and endorsed by the DOEE, has a dedicated customer service team and a dedicated supplier relations team that will keep the service running smoothly.
So, if it’s that good, then why doesn’t every business join one?
Honestly, we don’t know, hence this article. The benefits to business owners are generous, however energy markets are quite volatile and trade in dramatic swings. With energy choice, guaranteed savings do not exist. But with a good energy aggregation, you will know your costs as a business owner, you’ll know that you got the best deal on energy that was available at the time, and your energy accounts will be professionally managed.

The feisty Harnett, 28, was released outright by the Roughnecks on March 24, ending a seven-year run with the team, which also includes his brother Greg Harnett, 26, another defender.
The Roughnecks have kept quiet about the move, but they had dropped three straight games at the time and they’ve giving up 12.67 goals per game, the third worst total in the NLL currently. Maybe chalk it up to the Calgary braintrust trying to rattle the troops by parting ways with a veteran?
With four games left in the regular season, the Stealth (6-8) are percentage points in front of the Roughnecks (6-9) for the third postseason spot out the West. Vancouver is yet to make the playoffs in their four years based out of the Langley Events Centre.

“I really liked the speed and transition from what I saw,” Harnett explained via email of Vancouver’s 14-11 win over the Toronto Rock last Friday at the Langley Events Centre. “There were some nice hits and guys putting their bodies in the line to block shots, too. There is a good mix of veterans, and youth, and when there has been a breakdown, Tye Belanger has stood on his head. You can tell the defence got stronger as the game went on against Toronto, and a lot can be contributed to Tye’s play. It helps getting in a groove when your goalie is playing with confidence.”
Calgary and Vancouver do meet once more, an April 15 tilt at the LEC. The Harnetts have played each other before, most notably in the 2012 when Jon’s Coquitlam Adanacs beat Greg’s Victoria Shamrocks in six games in the Western Lacrosse Association semifinals.
Jon joined Greg with the Vancouver Island squad the following season.
“We sort of had to hold off being friends for the week,” Jon explained. “We are two competitive guys and I don’t think either of us will hold back because we both want to win.”

Harnett wouldn’t bite on questions about whether knocking Calgary out of the playoff hunt is extra inspiration for him coming to the Stealth.
“There isn’t any animosity towards Calgary,” he reported. “I have a made a lot of great friendships there. But, as it’s been the previous two seasons, it’s been down to the wire. Winner gets in in the last week of the season. This year isn’t quite the last week but we all know the (Calgary) game is massive. The team goal is to get into the playoffs and we plan on being there. But we aren’t looking ahead, Saskatchewan is the focus right now.”
Harnett is a tenacious, feisty type who should make the Stealth more difficult to play against. In 137 career regular season games in the NLL, he has 10 goals, 62 assists and 203 penalty minutes. He has two assists and 18 penalty minutes in 12 contests with Calgary this year..

He’s spent the past five summers playing with the Shamrocks, where his teammates include Stealth members like Corey Small, Rhys Duch and Cory Conway.
The Stealth placed the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Harnett on their physically unable to perform list this week after inking him to a contact, but it’s hard to believe that they would go through with the signing he wasn’t ready to suit up sometime soon.
Vancouver looks to build on a win over Rock on Friday when they visit the Saskatchewan Rush (9-4) on Saturday. The Roughnecks are hosting the Buffalo Bandits (5-8) on Saturday.
There’s an argument that Vancouver could use another veteran on their back end, since John Lintz (undisclosed) has missed the past two games with injury and there’s been no word out of the Stealth when the veteran of 99 career NLL regular season games might be back.
Vancouver’s defence has improved noticeably this season. They were last in the NLL in goals against (13.61) and seventh in shots allowed (53.17) last season, when they finished 5-13.
Going into this weekend, they are fifth in goals against (12.21) and sixth in shows allowed (53.07).

Joshua Daniel Hartnett was born on July 21, 1978 in San Francisco, but grew up in St. Paul. The parents were hippies and raised their four children in an atmosphere of love and joy. In his youth, Joshua dreamed of becoming a football or basketball player, however, as often happens, a knee injury prevented his sports career. Hartnett was so sad that his aunt decided to cheer up her nephew and sent him to the casting of the school play “Tom Sawyer”.Josh easily got the role of Huckleberry Finn and seriously thought about acting. After school, Josh decided to continue his education in New York. He went to an unfamiliar city for him and entered the famous theater institute of State University of New York. At the same time, Josh began to actively go to auditions, but at first the sensual brunette was refused everywhere. When he auditioned for the television series Dawson’s Creek, Josh showed up six times, but each time he was given a turn from the gate. In the end, Hartnett managed to land a role in an airline commercial.
After that, he was noticed and offered a role in the TV series “Cracker” (1997-1998), however, the project was not very successful and was soon canceled. In the same year, the poor fellow was expelled from the theater institute. It didn’t take long to grieve – Josh was busy filming the horror film Halloween: 20 Years Later (1998) and the cult film by Robert Rodriguez The Faculty (1998). The 20-year-old actor became very popular and received his first film awards, in particular, a nomination for Saturn. Soon, director Sofia Coppola invited the actor to play the role of the insidious seducer in her debut “Virgin Suicide” (1999).The film received good reviews from critics, and the actor consolidated his popularity. Minor work on other projects followed. The 23-year-old actor became famous when he appeared as a military pilot in Michael Bay’s melodrama Pearl Harbor (2001), where Josh played alongside Ben Affleck and Kate Beckinsale. The film was an incredible success, received one Oscar statuette and was nominated in three more categories. In the same year, another war drama with Josh in the title role was released – “Black Hawk Down” by Ridley Scott, which was also nominated for an Oscar in four categories and won two.Unsurprisingly, Hartnett’s name was on everyone’s lips – he was inundated with invitations. So, Hartnett starred in the image of a policeman in the comedy Hollywood Cops (2003), along with childhood idol Harrison Ford. However, after that, he gave up on box-office films for a long time.
Josh carefully chooses scenarios and prefers low-budget projects, chamber films, where the plot is focused on the inner experiences of the hero (not without reason his favorite writer is Fyodor Dostoevsky). Handsome Josh proved his dramatic talent by playing a young man blinded by love in the film “Obsession” (2004) with Diane Kruger, and a mentally ill person in the film “Crazy for Love” (2005).
On the set of the thriller Black Orchid (2006), Josh had a long-term romance with Scarlett Johansson. In 2005, he again starred with Rodriguez in Sin City and Paul McGuigan’s Lucky Number Slevin. And then he again plunged headlong into low-budget films: “Resurrecting a Champion” (2007), “August” (2008), “I Come with Rain” (2009), “Bunraku” (2010), “A Girl Enters a Bar” (2011) ), “Stuck Between Stations” (2011). In 2012, at the Cannes Film Festival, the premiere of the action-adventure movie “Curiosity” with Josh took place.

90,000 Hartnett, Josh is … What is Hartnett, Josh?
Joshua Daniel “Josh” Hartnett (eng. Joshua Daniel “Josh” Hartnett ; genus. July 21, 1978, San Francisco, California, USA) – American film actor.
Biography
Joshua Daniel Hartnett was born on July 21, 1978 in San Francisco (California), raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. In his youth, he was seriously fond of football. After graduating from high school in Minneapolis in 1996, Hartnett attended the State University of New York at Perches. In 1997, he was offered to participate in a television series. However, before his first successful work on the big screen in 1998, he starred mainly in commercials. Hartnett’s first serious work in a big movie was the role of John Tate, the son of the heroine Jamie Lee Curtis in the horror film Halloween: 20 Years Later (1998). Almost simultaneously, Josh played Zeke Tyler in another, already cult, horror film The Faculty (1998) by the popular director Robert Rodriguez. These roles brought Josh some popularity and first nominations for film awards (Saturn Awards and Blockbuster Entertainment Awards).Soon Hartnett was invited to audition by debutante director Sophie Coppola and offered him the role of the ruthless school seducer and the most fashionable and cocky boy in the Trip Fontaine school in his film “The Virgin Suicides” (1999). The role of a young military pilot Danny Walker in the drama Pearl Harbor (2001), a story of love and friendship set against the backdrop of the tragic events of 1941, became successful. For this work in the first blockbuster in his life, Josh was nominated for “Best Actor” by the MTV Film Awards. In the same 2001, Josh starred in another military drama – “Black Hawk Down” by Ridley Scott, which tells about the unsuccessful operation of a small contingent of American troops in the UN operation in Somalia in 1993. After two roles in the military, Josh admitted that he did not like this image and said that he no longer plans to return to him. For some reason, the result of this thought was the role of policeman Calden in the mediocre detective comedy Hollywood Cops (2003), in which Josh’s childhood idol Harrison Ford became Josh’s partner.Apparently, Josh did not like this experience either – since then he stopped hunting for roles in Hollywood blockbusters. Much more he began to be attracted by low-budget films, where the plot focuses on the inner experiences of the characters and their relationships. Such a picture called “Obsession” with his participation was released in 2004 and received a very warm welcome from the public, in 2005 another low-budget film “Crazy for Love” was released, where Josh tried himself in the difficult role of a mentally ill person. But Josh resolutely refused the role of Superman or Clark Kent in the blockbuster about the new adventures of the legendary Superman. In 2005, having resumed his collaboration with Robert Rodriguez, Josh played a role in two mini-episodes for the adaptation of the cult comic book. Through a pilot episode featuring Josh, Frank Miller, the comic book writer, has agreed to continue working on Sin City. Josh’s episodes open and close the film. Another great success and second fruitful work with director Paul McGuigan (the first was “Obsession”) was the film “Lucky Number Slevin”, where Josh starred alongside such masters of Hollywood as Morgan Freeman, Ben Kingsley and Bruce Willis. The role earned Josh the Best Actor nomination at the 2006 Milan Film Festival. Collaboration with director Brian De Palma in the film “Black Orchid” in 2006 was useful for Josh not only in his career, but also personally – on the set of the film the actor met Scarlett Johannson, which was followed by a whirlwind romance. The film itself did not live up to high expectations, despite the participation of such a popular director as Brian De Palma and the equally famous author of the book (and script) about “The Black Orchid” James Ellroy. However, the very participation of Josh in the title role in the film of the creators of the titled film “Secrets of Los Angeles” became for him a kind of recognition of his talent. Josh ventured again to try himself in a horror film and in a comic book adaptation at the same time. The painting “30 Days of Night” turned out to be a rather spectacular and popular film about vampires, but its success did not go beyond the admiration of loyal fans of the genre. Apparently, once again deciding that mass cinema does not bring the proper satisfaction, Josh finally decided to go into low-budget cinema. At first, he abandoned blockbusters, and eventually from the entire mainstream stream of Hollywood.

90,000 Josh Hartnett became a father for the third time, and a year ago
If anyone needs to be invited to the role of special agents, it is definitely Josh Hartnett. The star of the films “Pearl Harbor”, “The Faculty” and “Lucky Number Slevin” rarely tells anything about his personal life, and, for example, the replenishment in his family becomes known only thanks to the paparazzi. It happened both times, but Josh unexpectedly told about the third child himself. True, the birth of the baby happened at the end of 2019, so the actor still remained true to himself.
Josh shared the good news in an interview with Mr Porter. When asked by a journalist which of his projects he is most proud of, Josh replied:
There are such people, but most of all I am proud that I have three children, a good relationship with my beloved (actress Tamsin Egerton – ed.) And a wonderful family life.In addition, I have the opportunity to do great work, and the older I get, the more interesting characters I am offered.
I don’t know what opportunities I would have had if I had chosen a different path, but I must say that if I had completely succumbed to this allure of Hollywood, I certainly would not have had a happy life. I am firmly convinced of this.
Josh Hartnett and Tamsin Egerton
Josh also described how he and his wife survived the quarantine in a house with three children:
We tried to keep them busy with something as much as possible. But nevertheless it took the whole day, required a lot of energy, and in the evening all we needed was to just get to the bottle of wine and go to bed.
However, no amount of difficulty can match for Josh the joy that children give. In April 2016, he spoke on Live! with Kelly and Michael:
You are starting to look at everything in a completely new way. Your ego just melts when you have a child – your heart leaves your body, and for the first time you allow him to walk with someone else.
Josh and Tamsin greet Prince William and Kate Middleton at the Wimbledon match
Note that Josh Hartnett and actress Tamsin Egerton met in 2011 on the set of the movie “Out of Time”, where they both starred. Love from the screen turned into real love, and already in 2012 the couple began to appear together. Previously, Hartnett was listed as a famous heartthrob and dated such stars as Scarlett Johansson, Misha Barton, Amanda Seyfried and Rihanna.
In 2015, Josh and Tamsin became parents for the first time – they had a daughter. In 2017, the couple had a second child. Celebrities do not disclose their names.

Josh Hartnett’s Early Years, Childhood and Family
Joshua Daniel Hartnett was born on July 21, 1978 in the large and vibrant city of San Francisco. His parents belonged to the hippie culture, and therefore led a corresponding lifestyle for a long time. The Hartnett family had four children, among whom our today’s hero was the eldest. In the relationship of parents, the spirit of freedom was felt even when children were born.In the large Hartnett family, all the kids had names starting with the letter J – Josh, his sister Jessica, brothers Joe and Jack.
Josh Hartnett as a child Parents separated early, and therefore all four children remained with their father and his new wife Molly. During this period, the southern town of St. Paul became the hometown for Josh Hartnett. In this place, our today’s hero attended high school, and also went in for sports.
Josh at school did not differ from his peers. The boy was fond of sports – he played for the school football team and was always surrounded by the attention of girls from the support group. It is quite remarkable that American football has long been the main hobby in the life of a young guy. At this time, he even dreamed of a sports career. But I had to forget about the desire due to a knee injury.
After sports, the boy switched to art, he was well versed in literature, loved music: blues and jazz. And in high school, Josh began to play in the school theater. And even auditioned for the role of Huckleberry Finn in Tom Sawyer. The young actor liked to play other people’s fates on stage. But the young man stayed in the theater for two years.

But after leaving football, Hartnett began to pay much more attention to the acting craft, and therefore very soon the theater became his number one hobby.
After school, Hartnett went to New York and entered the Department of Acting and Painting at the Conservatory Theater. But having studied only one course, the future actor considered that the modern system of theater education and he was not allies. The film in general and Hartnett’s performance in particular attracted the attention of audiences and critics. This picture brought him his first success, and with it also MTV’s Breakthrough of the Year Award.

After such a resounding success, the following year was rather boring. Josh did not play prominent and vivid roles. The film “Here on Earth” passed by the audience. But in 2001, Hartnett set his own record. He appeared as Tom in the film “City and Country”, appeared as Brian in “The Barber of England”. And later, together with Julia Stiles, he worked on the set of the film “O”. These films have become a great help in the career of an actor, but real fame came to him a little later.

Have you ever asked yourself what happened to Josh Hartnett? I understand that different artists have a dedicated fanbase with which they manage to succeed, and that they become famous for a certain “thing” they do, in their specialty, if you like.
These are actors who can stand the test of time because they constantly hone the “thing” they are working on. No matter how old they are, no matter what films they appear in, you can always count on them to bring which to the table.
Whether it’s Bill Murray, Christopher Walken, Helena Bonham Carter, Gary Oldman, Lily Tomlin, Dustin Hoffman – I could go on and on, these views will always, always, always Bring everything they work with to set and you can count on them to be 100 percent on their own in whatever role they are asked to play. It’s beautiful, consistent, and reliable.
These “careerists” cannot be mistaken for anyone else, and depending on where they are in their careers, they may be featured in some blockbuster films or become the center of attention in any story told. the films they do are better than others, but they work and will probably always work – as long as they hone their craft. But being “the main star of a blockbuster” is not something that is usually sustainable and / or achievable for most talent.Just ask Johnny Depp,
Then there is the type of actor who is hyped up to be the ‘next heartthrob’ and included in the box office mega films because of their combination of talent, massive appeal and obviously good looks. We tend to look at people who are hot on screen. In the early to mid 2000s, one of the heartbeats was furious and it was Josh Hartnett.

I can’t count how many times I heard my classmates reading a play in high school notice how much dirty dude Josh is in the movie … But he was Soooooo hot. I mean, they don’t lie. Look at him being secret and the like.

At a very young age, Josh began working with fellow director Ridley Scott on the 2001 war film. Black Hawk Down it was not only a high-budget production at the highest level, but also the participation of many other famous stars such as Ewan McGregor, Tom Hardy, Orlando Bloom, Eric Bana, Tom Sizemore, Nikolai Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister), GOAT Sam Shepard and tons of other professionals.Josh was on the poster. And the DVD cover. That says a lot.

Josh’s most recognizable movie for comedy lovers, probably irreverent 40 days and 40 nights .You’ve probably seen the movie, but let me remind you: the super hot dude who was on the verge of meaningless romantic encounters lost its brilliance for any type of physical connection with women. To the point that it pretty much destroyed his intimacy. Therefore, he decides to “fast” from communicating with people during 40 days of Lent.
And since nothing happened in any decent movie, it just happened “without a hitch,” Josh ends up falling in love with someone but wants to stick with the bet he made with himself. There are bets in the office that he will not stick to this deal, and although he wants to find intimacy with this amazing new man who has just entered his life (played by another early 2000s love protagonist, Shannin Sossamon), vow, which he gives to test
The film is filled with some fearsome moments, but to be honest, Josh’s reaction is a huge part of what makes the film so great. This is what I missed when I first saw it, but now looking at these footage, I can fully see that they are the highlight.

Even though it comes down to cheap and sexist gags, a lot of ‘naughty’ comedies from the early 2000s (like American Pie ) go after Josh’s performance received tons of praise,
Josh starred in another run-of-the-mill comedy, this time with living legend Harrison Ford. Murder in Hollywood was panned as a comedy by buddy number. The film was a flop and was not well received by critics, but Josh and Harrison were praised for their work on the film.

That’s not very good, but what does it matter: A large production company entrusted Josh with a ton of money to lead the screenplay with Harrison Phreaking Ford. This says a lot about the young actor and the state of his career at the time.
Josh was also paired with on-screen legends Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis at Lucky Number Slevin ,

The film debuted with mixed reviews, but again, look at the level of artists Josh has worked with …He didn’t get applause from friends at some acting showcase in New York, the dude was the host in the film and shared scenes with the absolute titans of the film industry.
Josh was co-starred with Bruce Willis (although they didn’t share screen time) in Sin City , a film that helped green-light a lot of Frank Miller’s source material (let’s just forget Spirit ever existed though).

Josh opens and closes the film as the Colonel, the dreamy bounty hunter no one expects to punch through the time map of their life. But here he is, setting the stage for the directorial collaboration between Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, the closing performances of Benicio Del Toro, Bruce Willis, Elijah Wood, Clive Owen, Rosario Dawson and Mickey Rourke and others.
His scenes set the tone for a film that was considered revolutionary for the industry at the time. Everything was filmed on a green screen. Of course, this isn’t quite the case today, and the dialogue seems downright awful – and calling the female characters in the film small plot devices would be an understatement, but again, Josh was right there with the movie heavyweights.
Josh landed another lead role in a large budget production – an underrated Alaska Vampire Movie, 30 Days of Night , but after this 2007 release, a quick look at his IMDB Page reveals that the blockbuster films have been completed and completed.
So what exactly happened to Josh Harnett?

As it turns out, stepping out of the spotlight was a choice Josh said he made deliberately. The 39-year-old actor has decided to return home to Minnesota and leave Hollywood for reasons he made public in this superb Huffington Post feature.
“I think it might be an unhealthy environment. Chasing a goal that doesn’t have to define you is a stupid assignment, and I wanted to have a healthy perspective on it. Not only a healthy prospect of fame itself, but also the pursuit of wealth and the pursuit of superficial values. ” Josh said HuffPo ,

Josh explained that he “walked away” from the mainstream Hollywood scene with the feeling that he was not part of his own destiny as an artist and that he was “taken with him on the trip”, not being able to inject much of their own creativity into the cause.
“I started doing what I did as a young actor. I was 18 when I got my first role, and it was based only on someone’s perception of me. I had no money at the time, so I thought, “Oh, that’s great. I can be an actor and make money, that’s absurd. ” And then I worked for a long time, almost five years in a row, and did not take any breaks, but just made film after film after film, and it was an amazing journey for me. [But I was] kind of taken with them for a walk – there was no feeling that I was in complete control of my destiny. “ Josh said.

Josh made headlines back in 2014 when he took on the role of Ethan Chandler shooting a gun on Showtime Penny Terrible What was the biggest “commercial” moment in an actor’s career since his role in 30 Days of Night ,
Before and After Penny Terrible Josh says he decided to work on more intimate, smaller projects with directors he found interesting, as well as on his own writing and filmmaking.A decision that was prompted by his desire to take control of his own career and learn more about himself.

“I wanted to find out what I wanted to do in my life and I had a lot more experiences outside of the industry that were fantastic, and I re-found or re-started my love of filmmaking. I do a lot more writing and a lot of short films and video clips that will at some point turn into a directing function, if I’m lucky.I still love this industry and I kind of actively participate in it, but also sometimes keep it at arm’s length because it can be overwhelming. ” he said Huffington post ,
This does not mean that Josh is not worried about past elections or thinking about “what if” scenarios when it comes to his career. In an interview with playboy , Josh recalls roles he turned down, which led to his agents no longer wanting to work with him.

Josh says that some of the suggestions that might have been on the table were suddenly missing because he said no to some of the wrong people.
“I definitely said no to some of the wrong people. This is frowned upon in this industry. People don’t like being told no. I learned my lesson when [writer-director] Christopher Nolan and I were talking about Batman , I decided it wasn’t for me. Then he didn’t want to put me Prestige , They hired their Batman for this [Christian Bale], ‘ Josh said to Playboy.

Josh went on to mention that his fear of being punctured as an actor led to some drastic decisions that he saw other actors handle with great tact.
“I was so focused on not being locked up, and so afraid that I was considered an actor for only one thing … Watching Christian Bale continue to do so many other things is amazing. I mean, he was able to get over it. Why can’t I see it at the time? ….. Now I know that I would not give up on something just because it is a superhero role. ” Josh said in his playboy interview ,
Source: Getty
Josh doesn’t seem to be too upset with his career and is currently into some cool films, many of which are still in post-production like Long House with James Franco, Valley of the Gods with John Malkovich, Inside the Viper and Highway ,
“Fortunately, I am still offered films and TV roles, but many years ago, if I saw the role I wanted, I had a good chance of getting it.When I see a role now, I have to fight for it. It’s not bad. It is actually more useful. It is depressing when something does not go your way, but only for a minute. he said Playboy.
The early 2000s heartthrob still has a lot of career opportunities and artists looking to collaborate with him, so even if he’s no longer likeable Hollywood “It Boy,” he doesn’t get too upset about it. Moreover, this is not the title he wanted anyway, so the actor cannot afford to let the abandonment of superhero films in the past prevent him from enjoying his 40th birthday on July 21.

Early Childhood and Josh Hartnett’s Family
Joshua Daniel Hartnett was born on July 21, 1978 in the large and vibrant city of San Francisco. His parents belonged to the hippie culture, and therefore led a corresponding lifestyle for a long time. The Hartnett family had four children, among whom our today’s hero was the eldest. In the relationship of parents, the spirit of freedom was felt even when children were born. In the large Hartnett family, all the kids had names starting with the letter J – Josh, his sister Jessica, brothers Joe and Jack.
Josh Hartnett as a child
Parents parted early, and therefore all four children stayed with their father and his new wife Molly.During this period, the southern town of St. Paul became the hometown for Josh Hartnett. In this place, our today’s hero attended high school, and also went in for sports.
Josh did not differ from his peers at school
The boy was fond of sports – he played for the school football team and was always surrounded by the attention of girls from the support group. It is very noteworthy that it was American football that for a long time was the main hobby in the life of a young guy.
But the young man stayed in the theater for only two years.
Future Successful Actor Josh Hartnett
In this context, it is worth noting that initially Josh began to play on stage only from youthful maximalism, trying to prove that he can be the best in everything.
Some sources indicate that the reason for the expulsion was a devastating article he wrote critically about the teachers-directors of the local college.
Anyway, Josh Hartnett was in New York for only one year. Leaving the Big Apple, our today’s hero moved to another city that is traditionally associated with the US film industry – Los Angeles.

Josh said in an interview that the role of superheroes is not for him. He also mentioned that he said no to certain people because he was tired and wanted to spend more time with his family and friends. But in the cinema nobody likes it when they say no, in this industry it is not approved.
Terry, Ellen passage
He did not know how to see before the great, incomprehensible and infinite in anything. He only felt that it must be somewhere, and looked for it. In everything close, understandable, he saw one limited, petty, everyday, meaningless. He armed himself with a mental telescope and looked into the distance, to where this small, everyday thing, hiding in the fog of the distance, seemed to him great and endless because it was not clearly visible. This is how he imagined European life, politics, Freemasonry, philosophy, philanthropy. But even then, in those minutes that he considered his weakness, his mind penetrated into this distance, and there he saw the same petty, everyday, meaningless. Now he learned to see the great, the eternal and the infinite in everything, and therefore it is natural, in order to see him, in order to enjoy his contemplation, he threw the pipe into which he had still looked through the heads of people, and joyfully contemplated around him the ever-changing, ever-great , incomprehensible and endless life. And the closer he looked, the more calm and happy he was. The terrible question that had destroyed all his mental structures before: why? did not exist for him now. Now the question is – why? a simple answer was always ready in his soul: then, that there is a god, that god, without whose will no hair would fall off a man’s head.Pierre barely changed in his outward methods. He looked exactly the same as he had been before. Just as before, he was absent-minded and seemed busy not with what was in front of his eyes, but with something of his own, special. The difference between his former and his present state was that before, when he forgot what was in front of him, what was said to him, he wrinkled his forehead in pain, as if trying and could not make out something far away from him … Now he also forgot what was said to him and what was in front of him; but now, with a faintly noticeable, as if mocking, smile, he peered into the very thing that was in front of him, listened attentively to what was said to him, although he obviously saw and heard something completely different. Before he seemed to be a kind person, but unhappy; and therefore people involuntarily moved away from him. Now the smile of the joy of life was constantly playing around his mouth, and his eyes shone with concern for people – the question was: are they as happy as he is? And people were pleased in his presence. Before he talked a lot, got excited when he talked, and listened little; now he was rarely carried away by conversation and knew how to listen in such a way that people willingly told him their most intimate secrets. The princess, who never loved Pierre and had a particularly hostile feeling towards him since the death of the old count, she felt obliged to Pierre, to her annoyance and surprise, after a short stay in Oryol, where she came with the intention of proving to Pierre that, despite his ingratitude, she considers it her duty to follow him, the princess soon felt that she loved him.Pierre did nothing to curry favor with the princess. He only looked at her with curiosity. Before the princess felt that in his gaze there were indifference and mockery, and she, like in front of other people, shrank in front of him and exposed only her fighting side of life; now, on the contrary, she felt that he seemed to be digging into the most intimate sides of her life; and she, at first with distrust, and then with gratitude, showed him the hidden good sides of her character.

Can he find his place in the film industry after the release of Terrible Penny?
Hartnett’s career has been heading in the right direction in recent years. His big break came with his role as Ethan Chandler in the 19th century drama Horrible Penny. Since its debut in 2014, the series has received strong critical reviews as well as impressive ratings, but the network confirmed in June 2016 that the third season finale marked the end of the drama. The show’s creator and organizer reportedly felt that three seasons was just the time it took to justify the plot.
But was it the best for Hartnett? Time will show. He starred in the police thriller Gut Instinct in 2016 and the fantasy drama Valley of the Gods opposite John Malkovich in 2017.Intuition suggests that Hollywood and Hartnett are starting to build a new relationship. Josh is a good actor. I would like to believe that he will succeed, and soon he will again be offered the main roles in cult films.

Josh Hartnett: Star Filmography
The American actor is not one of the actors who have come a long way before the arrival of fame. He gained fame at the age of twenty. The 1998 horror film The Faculty, directed by Rodriguez, was one of the first films to feature Josh Hartnett. The filmography of the star was replenished with a tape, which may seem boring to modern viewers in terms of plot and special effects. However, 17 years ago, the story gained immense popularity. The actor plays a young man surviving on illegal earnings.
Filming at the “Faculty” helped the directors to notice the promising young artist, such as Josh Hartnett at the time. The filmography of the actor already in 1999 acquired a new bright ribbon. She was the drama “The Virgin Suicides”, which became the debut for Sofia Coppola.Viewers loved the film’s compelling dialogues and realistic 70s atmosphere.
Also noteworthy is the picture “O”, declared by the creators as an interpretation of “Othello”, in which Josh Hartnett also starred, the filmography was again replenished with a successful film project. In this tape, the novice celebrity got the image of the modern Iago, she appeared on the screens in 2001.

Ellen Kushner
Ellen Ruth Kashner is an American. She was born in Washington DC and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. For some time in her childhood she lived in France. She attended Bryn More College and graduated from Barnard College. After graduating, she took a job as a fantasy editor at Ace Books / Grosset and later became a literary editor at Pocket Books / Simon & Schuster. She also managed to work as a compiler of advertising texts and was looking for new promising authors for publishing houses. Kashner wrote several books for the children’s series.
Her debut novel was On the Edge of the Blade (1987). In 2002, its sequel appeared – the novel “The Fall of Kings” (2002), created on the basis of the novel of the same name in 1997, co-authored with Delia Sherman. Critics attribute both of these novels to the so-called. Mannerpunk. They are set in an unnamed fictional capital city and its infamous Coastal Region, where mercenaries of all stripes await their employers. The novel Privilege of the Sword (2006, Locus magazine award) and a number of short stories take place in the same world.
Kushner’s second published novel, based on the Scottish folk ballads, Thomas the Rhyme (1990), which won the 1991 Mythopoetic Fantasy Prize and the 1991 World Fantasy Prize (tied for first place).
Ellen Kushner is also the author of about a dozen short stories and poems; some have been reprinted in anthologies from the annual Best of the Year: Fantasy & Horror series.
Kashner’s works have been translated into Spanish, Catalan, Latvian, German, Russian, French and Japanese.
She is the compiler of two anthologies of “magic works” – “Basilisk” (1980) and, with Don Keller and Delia Sherman, “Elfland pipes” (1997).
Kashner is a popular lecturer and speaks a lot for different audiences (“from synagogue to fantastic convention”), and also lectured on literary skills at the seminars “Clarion Writers’ Workshop” and “Odyssey Workshop”.
She is also well known in the United States as the author and host of the weekly radio show Sound & Spirit, dedicated to “exploring world mythology, spirituality and human experience through music”.Several of Kashner’s radio programs have received “industry” awards.
In 2002, Kashner released a CD with the story “The Golden Dreidl”. It is accompanied by music by Tchaikovsky from The Nutcracker, performed by the Shirim Klezmer Orchestra. This story will be published by Charlesbridge Press in Fall 2007 as a children’s book. Ellen also co-released the music album “Welcoming Children Into the World”, based on the music she selected for “Sound & Spirit”.She also performed in various cities in the United States with the program “Esther: the Feast of Masks”, originally created for her radio broadcast.
Ellen Kushner currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts with her partner, the writer Delia Sherman. Kashner and Sherman are active participants in the so-called. The Interstitial art movement is a founding member of the interstitial Arts Foundation, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the movement, and the Endicott Studio founded by Terry Windling.Kashner was also a member of the organizing committee of the Boston Early Music Festival.
She recently worked with composer Ben Moore in New York on the musical The Bone Chandelier (based on 19th century waltzes and a vengeance story in the spirit of the tragedies of Jacob I), and with Yale Storm and Elizabeth Schwartz worked on a play, based on the history of Jewish women.
Ellen Kushner loves to travel, loves to sing and cook, recently discovered a passion for gardening, is proud to have learned to dance at a late age, and admits that she “always dreamed of being asked to play Hamlet.”
Josh Hartnett’s Personal Life
The idol of millions of girls from all over the world tries not to show his personal life. But it is known that the actor values his freedom. In his dreams – to travel calmly, to see countries and cities. But in the first place for him always – family and friends. Josh is sure they will never leave him or betray him. Relatives argue that in life Hartnett is an ordinary person and not at all a superstar.
Josh Hartnett and Amanda Seyfried
As for relationships with the fair sex, Josh Hartnett dated Scarlett Johansson for a while. He met the actress while working on the painting “Black Orchid”. After this romance, the young man was seen with the beautiful Penelope Cruz. However, in relationships with the opposite sex, Josh values freedom very much. Therefore, his novels are usually fleeting.
The actor’s longest relationship was associated only with an ordinary girl, Ellen Fenster, with whom he was in love at school. Young people were together for several years, but later broke up.
In 2012, Hartnett had a short affair with Amanda Seyfred, but according to the actress, the relationship came to naught due to the huge distances separating young people.
Josh Hartnett & Tamsin Egerton
And Josh did not grieve for a long time either: on the set of the film “Out of Time” he met the aspiring actress Tamsin Egerton. Lovers try not to advertise their relationship, but every now and then they fall into the lens of paparazzi.

The actor is private in his private life
In an era when celebrities are selling photographs of their newborns at the highest price, Hartnett and his girlfriend, English actress Tamsin Egerton, did not even reveal the name of their first child. In November 2015, the couple had a girl, but, whatever one may say, young parents were reluctant to talk about it.

Hartnett also said that his daughter encouraged him to return to Hollywood. Because of her, his point of view changed regarding work and many other things. Today work for him is a way of earning money.

Josh Hartnett’s Star Fame
In 2001, the cult blockbuster “Pearl Harbor” by Michael Bay was released on screens all over the world, opening several bright stars to the world at once. Josh has become the face of several fashion brands. Since then, the actor has often worked as a photo model.
In the same year, Hartnett got a role in the drama “Black Hawk Down” by Jerry Bruckheimer. The film, based on real events, received good reviews.
