Every October, the American magazine Elle presents a special November issue with eight covers featuring the eight top actresses of the year.
The Women In Hollywood award of sorts was established a few years ago, but it has had a recent renaissance with the rise of the #MeToo movement. In 2020, this event, like dozens of others, had to be canceled due to the coronavirus. But a year ago, it was decided not to honor eight women, as usual, but nine.
