City Girls’ JT has dropped the video for “No Bars,” her first new solo single since 2019’s “JT First Day Out.”
The video is dedicated to a friend of hers who died, Monica Suh. It opens with JT in Paris at night in front of the Eiffel Tower. She addresses her friend Monica at the beginning. “I’m in Paris, just like we talked about,” she says, adding: “So this one’s for you” as she pours one out from a bottle of wine for Monica.
From there, the visual moves to a closeup of JT’s lips, and shows her dropping her verses in a bathroom and in what looks like an old prison with blue bars that match her hair.
The footage is interspersed with her hanging with friends and fans, and a montage of photos and video of her and her City Girls partner Yung Miami.
“I’m low-key, bitches fuck with my anxiety/I’m prayed up, and I’m waitin’ on my rivalry,” she spits. “I’m the hype, nah, y’all ain’t gotta hype me/I’m that bitch, give a fuck who don’t like me.”
In an Instagram post, JT shared the inspiration behind the song. “’No Bars’ is a freestyle I made in the studio when I was having one of those days, at the time like most of the time ppl were doubting me & questioning why I wasn’t as visual and vocal as others! Not knowing me personally…,” she wrote. “I’d read the craziest things about myself & would want to scream but instead I went to the studio & popped my shit!

“This is not a joke”: Rita Dakota recorded the first video after the rumors about the divorce from Sokolovsky

wrote the first video after the news of the divorce with her husband, singer Vlad Sokolovsky. The girl shared her experiences with the audience and talked about plans for the future. The video was posted on Dakota’s new YouTube channel.
“I don’t want to take out all the dirt, all the dirty laundry in public, I don’t want to be involved in this. Everything I said in Instagram posts is true. We are really getting divorced, this is not a joke, ”said Rita.
She confirmed that Vlad cheated on her throughout the relationship.
“The first story came out, followed by the second, the third. The previous ones were confirmed automatically. Vlad said something, our mutual friends told something. As a result, I received a bunch of evidence. Creepy, including video,” said Dakota.
The singer admitted that she had been crying on the floor for several days, surrounded by loved ones. Then she went to Greece for a couple of days, where she realized what had happened.
I had at least the right to tell the truth
“There are several explanations for my Instagram post. I am always honest with the audience. If you shoot videos about love for three years, publish joint photos, and then delete everything silently and post something else, then this is disrespect for people.
To all those whom you yourself let into your life, ”Dakota explained her publication about divorce.
The girl acted in this way for several more reasons: so that the feeling of injustice would not leave behind “a bunch of complexes and health problems.”
“If I devoured this as much as I endured, I would blame myself all my life, I would feel betrayed. I would feel anger and resentment. I had the right to at least tell the truth and not whitewash my executioner, my offender, who trampled me, ruined my life, took away everything that I had, ”she explained to subscribers.
I can’t beat if they beat me back
Dakota noted that she did not publish evidence of betrayal and humiliate Vlad. According to Rita, she is not going to perform on TV shows, which she is constantly offered to take part in.
“I know, on the sidelines they say that I am preparing some exclusive releases, I want to hype and sing a song in which I will name all the women with whom Vlad cheated on me.
This will not happen. They tried to drag me into the mud, but I didn’t give in, ”said Dakota.
“I want to believe in love, in sincerity, in a person…”
The singer admits that it’s not easy to talk about the positive now, but you can’t give up, you need to live on and be creative. The girl is not going to hide from everyone.
“If one person turned out to be dishonest and dishonorable, it does not mean that everyone is like that. I want to believe in love, in sincerity, in man. I want to believe that one day it will all hurt, it will become experience, strength and wisdom, ”she shared her experiences.
So far, Dakota is in no hurry to guess what her videos will be like in the future. It is possible that they will only talk about creativity or travel.
There will be a channel, that’s for sure
“Maybe I’ll decide not to show anything from my personal life. It is still difficult to say what exactly will come of this, ”said Rita, promising only that the channel would be mandatory.
She noticed that this happens to many women in Russia. The difference, Dakota added, is that she is being watched by a large number of people to whom you can tell about your feelings.
“Recently, we were laughing that if I continue to shoot vlogs, they will be on the topic “Is there life after divorce.” Maybe it is so. Perhaps it will be a kind of rehabilitation diary, ”Rita suggested. At the moment, she is going to do creative work, write music, poetry.
Alcohol didn’t help for sure. Don’t do this
“I want the pain to go into creation. I want to write a book, I’m flying to India in October — I’ve never been there, I want to learn how to drive a motorcycle, I’m going to go on vacation with my child and other mother friends. I go to a psychologist. I want to switch to another regimen, try Ayurveda, give up alcohol, cigarettes, coffee, fried meat. Get up at 5 am, go to bed at 10 pm. I will definitely tell you what will come of it. Now is the time for my inner transformation.
Then I’ll tell you what helped,” she said about her plans for the near future.
The girl confessed that she did not hate Sokolovsky. According to her, after some time she will be able to forgive Vlad and take a different look at what happened.
“I am grateful to him for being the father of my child, for the most wonderful experience in my life — the experience of motherhood. Those years when we were together, I was happy, even though it turned out to be untrue. I felt happy almost every day next to Vlad. I had a family and love,” said Rita. Now she lives with her daughter Mia. Sokolovsky sees the child twice a week when the singer is not at home.
Dakota thanked everyone for their support and admitted that letters, private messages, comments – all this helps her a lot to cope with what happened.
Rita announced her divorce from Sokolovsky in mid-August. She told the fans that many members of his family and almost all of his friends knew about Vlad’s betrayals.
