Zhanna Friske: biography. Jeanne’s family: sister Natalya, son Plato, husband Dmitry Shepelev (photo) and the singer’s parents. How old is Zhanna, what did she look like in her youth in the group “Brilliant”
Zhanna Friske: a short but brilliant life of a singer
Zhanna Friske made a dazzling career in Russian show business, becoming one of the brightest stars of the Russian stage. Her career began in the musical group “Brilliant”, however, the talented singer did not stop at secondary roles, where fame had to be shared with someone else, and took up solo performance, which brought her a resounding success. Zhanna wrote and performed her own compositions, acted in films, and in her short life managed to leave an impressive mark on the history of Russian show business.
10 facts from Zhanna Friske’s life
- Zhanna’s father, after marrying her mother, changed his last name to the one his wife bore. And he became Kopylov.
- Friske is the stage name of the artist – she took this surname in honor of her grandmother, who had German roots.
- Zhanna and her twin brother were born at seven months old, but the boy was diagnosed with a pathology due to which he did not live to see his first birthday.
- Friske has a sister who is twelve years younger than her, they are very similar in appearance and have been inseparable friends since childhood.
- Initially, Zhanna was a choreographer who was invited to work with the “Brilliant” group, where, according to the producer’s plan, there should have been only three performers, but everyone liked the talented girl so much that she was offered to become the fourth member.
- From childhood, the future star showed an incredible craving for music – she sang, danced and did ballet.
- Natalya Friske, Zhanna’s younger sister, took her place in the “Brilliant” group after the artist decided to pursue a solo career.
- The famous performer simply adored dogs – and all her friends confirmed this, saying that in her childhood she constantly dragged puppies home and treated injured animals.
- Jeanne’s common-law husband, Dmitry Shepelev, is almost ten years younger than her.
- The greatest popularity, according to the media, Friska was brought precisely by participation in the program “The Last Hero”, where she showed herself to be a purposeful and strong-willed person.
Zhanna Friske’s biography
The meeting of Zhanna’s parents happened exactly in a fairy tale. He, a famous artist, noticed an unknown beauty in the House of Culture and could no longer take his eyes off her. Their romance began on the same day, and a year later they got married.
The future artist was born on July 8, 1974 in Moscow together with her twin brother, who died a few months later from a congenital pathology. The family was very upset by the loss of their first son, but the bright and cheerful Jeanne managed to heal the hearts of her parents, wounded by grief.
The girl showed various talents from childhood. She sang and danced well, showed interest in music and cinema. Zhanna Kopylova was a very active and restless child – her parents enrolled her in numerous sections: ballet studio, sports dancing, acrobatics and rhythmic gymnastics. And in each of these activities, she excelled.
When the future performer was twelve, another girl appeared in the family – Natalya. Zhanna loved her younger sister very much, and this made the girls inseparable friends, as soon as Natasha grew up a little. Subsequently, it was the younger Friske who replaced Zhanna in the “Brilliant” team.
Friske did not dream of pop music from a young age – she was fascinated by journalism, which she chose as her specialty when she entered Moscow State University. However, three years later, Jeanne realized that she did not like this subject at all, and the girl dropped out of school to go in search of a suitable role for her. For several months she held the position of a sales manager in an office furniture store – but this field turned out to be not at all what the artist wanted to do. A little later, she got a job at the Moscow Sports Palace – to teach choreography.
1996 turned out to be a fateful year for Zhanna – then she got into the “Brilliant” team. At one of the performances at the Palace of Culture, her talented young dancer was noticed by Andrey Gromov, who at that time was producing an aspiring musical group, and decided that it would not hurt the girls to improve the quality of the dances they show at performances. Zhanna Kopylova gladly agreed to work as a consultant.
However, from the first rehearsals it became clear that the choreographer perfectly complements the group – and Gromov made her an offer that Zhanna could not refuse. She became the fourth member of the team, which quickly gained popularity and gained recognition from fans.
The first success of the “Brilliant” was the album “Just Dreams”, released two years after Zhanna joined them. At that time, the team included Olga Orlova, Polina Iodis and Varvara Kovaleva. Subsequently, the “brilliant” girls changed, new talents came in their place, and Friske turned out to be the one who lasted the longest in the girl band.
After the well-received “Just a Dream”, the girls recorded several more collections with undeniable hits. “Over the Four Seas” and “About Love” were the last compositions recorded in the original composition.
“Orange Paradise” was the first album that Zhanna performed with completely new members. Ksenia Novikova, Anna Semenovich and Yulia Kovalchuk replaced the previous members, adding more spice to the image of the group.
It was “Orange Paradise” and the renewal of the team that, perhaps, prompted Jeanne to think about starting a career as a solo artist.
Career and creative success of Zhanna Friske
In 2005, Friske announced herself as a solo singer. Her first album Zhanna became a resounding success – the compositions hit the most popular charts, becoming undoubted hits. In the same year, the artist released several music videos.
By coincidence, Zhanna’s first album became her last – her next works were seventeen singles, in which she invited famous performers: “Disco Crash”, Dzhigan and Dmitry Malikov. Malinki became an absolute success, which is still considered one of the singer’s brightest hits.
The last composition that Friske released was the song “Love Wanted” – it marked the end of the career of the brilliant and delightful Zhanna, who will serve as a standard of professionalism, beauty, style icon and sex symbol of domestic show business for a long time to come.
In addition to music, Friske managed to realize herself as an actress. 2004 was her debut on television – she appeared in Timur Bekmambetov’s blockbuster “Night Watch”, where she performed the charming and masterful singer Alisa Donnikova. Many viewers in this character guessed the artist herself. A distinctive feature of the image of Jeanne was that her heroine had the ability to dark magic. Critics praised her work in the film, and the film collected enough box office for its creators to think about a sequel. In the sequel, Friske had much more screen time, which allowed her to fully reveal herself as an actress. Her partners on the set were Alexei Chadov and Viktor Verzhbitsky. The film won her the Best Actress award at the MTV Awards.
Zhanna’s next project was the psychological drama Who Am I? directed by Klim Shipenko, but she did not bring her such recognition as “Day Watch” and its predecessor. But the comedy film “What Men Talk About” was a real breakthrough – its box office amounted to more than ten million dollars.
The filmography of the actress consists of more than ten projects, which finally dispelled the stereotypes about the monotony of domestic performers and secured for Zhanna the title of a multifaceted artist who is able to realize herself in various fields.
Friske also participated in several television projects. The greatest popularity was brought to her by “The Last Hero”, which “thrown” celebrities into cruel conditions, where they had to survive and perform certain tasks. Despite all sorts of obstacles, Zhanna has shown herself to be a self-sufficient and strong personality, able to overcome any difficulties without losing her composure, face and positive attitude. Friska failed to win the show, but the audience and colleagues noted that she showed herself amazingly in this project, allowing cameramen and directors to destroy her image of an ideal woman – Zhanna agreed to shoot without makeup and stage costumes, and also was not against not very good angles. Friske’s confidence and lightness still amazes and wins the hearts of her fans.
Zhanna Friske’s personal life
Attractive, with an amazing figure, a charming smile and undeniable charisma, Zhanna has always been the object of men’s desire. She was adored by everyone who knew her. Women admired her grace and sophistication, and at the same time envied how easily she managed to remain so seductive and mysterious.
There were a lot of rumors about Friske’s novels. She was brought together with the frontman of the group “Otpetye Swindlers” – Sergey Amoralov, almost married to Mita Fomina from “Hi-Fi”, and also attributed to her a passionate relationship with Dmitry Nagiyev. Jeanne herself did not confirm any of these guesses.
Zhanna’s first serious relationship, according to domestic media, was an affair with Moscow businessman Ilya Mitelman. It was rumored that he made an offer to the artist, but the couple never reached the altar.
In 2006, immediately after the start of her solo career, many thought that Zhanna was dating Alexander Ovechkin, a famous hockey player. The athlete really had feelings for the participant of the “Brilliant”, but not for Zhanna, but for her colleague – Ksenia Novikova.
While participating in the team, Friska liked the producer – Andrei the Terrible. Their relationship lasted several years, and the man was even going to take her down the aisle, which did not happen because of his betrayal. A little later, Zhanna began a short romance with Dmitry Dyuzhev.
But the main man in the life of the brilliant Friska was Dmitry Shepelev. At the end of the summer of 2011, the VIP party began to talk about their relationship, although both artists denied the existence of romantic feelings between them. In the winter of 2012, the first confirmation of a star romance appeared. The singer and TV presenter appeared on a joint vacation in Miami.
Celebrities officially announced their relationship on Twitter, where Jeanne posted a record in which she announced her pregnancy.
Friske gave birth to her first child at a clinic in the United States of America in the spring of 2013. Upon returning to Russia, the couple planned to get married, but it never came to that.
Zhanna was diagnosed with brain cancer during her pregnancy, but because of her unwillingness to harm the baby, the artist refused chemotherapy treatments. A few months after the birth, the best specialists of the Russian Federation and the United States tried to cure the singer’s progressive illness.
In 2014, Zhanna, according to insiders, overcame cancer and was in rehabilitation in Jurmala, but the disease, despite positive diagnoses, returned, and Friska had to resume treatment. Zhanna spent three months in a coma, from which she never came out. The famous singer, actress and Russian pop star died in June 2015.

The Friske family decided to make peace with Shepelev because of the apartment

Relations between Zhanna Friske’s father Vladimir Borisovich and Dmitry Shepelev are slowly getting better. Friske Sr. is even ready to go to the world, to forgive the leader of the debts after the lost courts, but in return to receive a share in his daughter’s apartment. Friske Sr. planned to go to a settlement agreement with Shepelev back in 2015.
Photo: Global Look Press
“Zhanna’s family has long been ready to agree to a settlement agreement,” the singer, surrounded by relatives, said. “But there were always different conditions. Jeanne bought this apartment a long time ago, long before Shepelev. It’s hard to add something here, they repeatedly tried to reconcile, but it still doesn’t work out.”
According to friends of the singer’s family, troubles between relatives are not critical.
“This happens often between relatives. Fathers and children are always a complicated story. There are just famous people here, so they attracted attention, ”said Friske, surrounded by people.
However, for the sake of his grandchildren, Vladimir Borisovich Friske decided to make peace.
“Here such a moment played its role, Natasha (Jeanne’s younger sister) recently gave birth to her daughter Luna. Perhaps Vladimir Borisovich relented, realizing that it would probably be nice to introduce Plato and the Moon to each other. Still, cousins and sisters, ”said familiar families.
As Friske Sr. himself repeatedly stated, he wants to get a share in Zhanna’s apartment in order to preserve the memory of his daughter.
As you know, it is extremely difficult to sell an apartment in shared ownership. The luxurious apartment of Zhanna Friske is located on Shmitovsky Proezd in Moscow, the singer acquired real estate in the early 2000s, and equipped the apartments to her taste.
After the artist’s death, her relatives did not clean Zhanna’s apartment, did not move the furniture, did not throw away dried flowers that had been presented to the singer during her lifetime.
