The Impact of Injury on Elite Athletes’ Mental Health
While physical prowess is crucial in sports like cyclocross, the mental aspect of athletic performance cannot be overlooked. One of the most significant risk factors for psychological distress among male athletes is sports injury.
Injury and Depression in Athletes
Research has shown a strong correlation between injuries and depression in athletes. Injured athletes typically have higher depression scores compared to their non-injured counterparts. This phenomenon may be attributed to the emotional impact of being sidelined and the uncertainty surrounding recovery and return to competition.
A study on professional footballers revealed that those who had sustained one or more severe joint injuries during their career were three to four times more likely to report distress. This finding underscores the long-term psychological effects that injuries can have on athletes, even after their active careers have ended.
Long-term Consequences of Injuries
The impact of injuries extends beyond an athlete’s active career. Former athletes who have suffered multiple severe injuries or undergone surgeries are 2-7 times more likely to report symptoms of common mental disorders compared to those without significant injury history. This highlights the importance of comprehensive support systems for athletes, both during their careers and in retirement.
Personal Growth and Radical Responsibility: Lessons from Dr. Fleet Maull
While the world of elite sports presents its own set of challenges, valuable lessons on personal growth and responsibility can be drawn from unexpected sources. Dr. Fleet Maull, an executive coach and author, offers insights based on his extraordinary life journey from prison inmate to inspirational speaker.
Transformation Through Adversity
Dr. Maull’s story of spending 14 years in prison and emerging as a Zen master and advocate for positive change demonstrates the power of personal transformation. His experience highlights the importance of staying present and maintaining a growth mindset, even in the most challenging circumstances.
The Concept of Radical Responsibility
Central to Dr. Maull’s philosophy is the idea of radical responsibility. This approach involves fully accepting one’s circumstances and taking complete ownership of one’s actions and responses. By embracing this mindset, individuals can become “unstoppable forces for good” in their own lives and in society.
Key Principles of Radical Responsibility
- Accepting responsibility for everything in your life
- Avoiding the trap of entitlement
- Radically accepting life’s hardships as a means of moving forward
- Focusing on personal change as a catalyst for broader societal change
- Understanding the difference between equality of opportunity and equality of outcome
Mental Resilience in Elite Sports: Strategies for Success
For elite athletes, developing mental resilience is just as crucial as physical training. The ability to overcome setbacks, manage stress, and maintain focus under pressure can often be the determining factor in high-level competitions.
Mindfulness and Present-Moment Awareness
One key strategy for building mental resilience is cultivating mindfulness and present-moment awareness. This practice, which Dr. Maull found valuable even in the prison environment, can help athletes stay focused on their immediate tasks and avoid becoming overwhelmed by external pressures or future uncertainties.
Emotional Regulation and Conflict Resolution
Learning to regulate emotions and effectively resolve conflicts is another crucial skill for elite athletes. This involves developing the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and navigate interpersonal dynamics within teams or competitive environments.
Cultivating a Growth Mindset
Adopting a growth mindset, where challenges are viewed as opportunities for learning and improvement rather than insurmountable obstacles, can significantly enhance an athlete’s resilience and long-term success.
The Role of Support Systems in Elite Athletic Performance
While individual mental toughness is crucial, the importance of robust support systems for elite athletes cannot be overstated. These systems play a vital role in maintaining both physical and mental well-being throughout an athlete’s career and beyond.
Comprehensive Health Care
Access to high-quality physical and mental health care is essential for elite athletes. This includes not only treatment for injuries but also preventive care and ongoing mental health support to address the unique pressures of high-level competition.
Career Transition Support
Given the potential long-term impacts of an athletic career on mental health, providing support for athletes transitioning out of active competition is crucial. This may include career counseling, financial planning, and continued access to mental health resources.
Building a Positive Team Culture
In team sports, fostering a supportive and positive team culture can significantly impact individual athletes’ mental well-being and performance. This involves promoting open communication, mutual respect, and a collective commitment to growth and improvement.
Balancing Competitiveness and Well-being in Elite Sports
One of the ongoing challenges in elite sports is striking a balance between the drive for competitive success and the maintenance of athletes’ overall well-being. This balance is crucial for sustainable performance and long-term career satisfaction.
Redefining Success Beyond Victories
Encouraging athletes to define success in terms broader than just wins and losses can help alleviate some of the intense pressure associated with elite competition. This might include setting personal growth goals, focusing on skill development, or valuing contributions to team dynamics.
Promoting Work-Life Balance
Even at the elite level, it’s important for athletes to maintain interests and relationships outside of their sport. This balance can provide perspective, reduce burnout, and contribute to overall mental health.
Ethical Considerations in Performance Enhancement
As the science of athletic performance continues to advance, it’s crucial to maintain ethical standards and prioritize athlete well-being over short-term performance gains. This includes careful consideration of training methods, nutritional supplements, and other performance-enhancing strategies.
The Future of Elite Men’s Sports: Trends and Challenges
As we look to the future of elite men’s sports, several trends and challenges are likely to shape the landscape. Understanding these factors can help athletes, coaches, and sports organizations prepare for the evolving nature of high-level competition.
Technological Advancements in Training and Performance
Continued advancements in technology are likely to play an increasingly significant role in athletic training and performance analysis. From wearable devices that provide real-time physiological data to AI-driven tactical analysis, these tools have the potential to revolutionize how athletes prepare for and approach competition.
Addressing Mental Health Stigma in Sports
While awareness of mental health issues in sports has grown, there is still work to be done in fully destigmatizing mental health concerns among elite male athletes. Encouraging open dialogue and providing accessible support services will be crucial in ensuring the overall well-being of athletes.
Adapting to Global Challenges
Recent global events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, have highlighted the need for resilience and adaptability in the world of elite sports. Moving forward, sports organizations and athletes will need to be prepared to navigate unexpected challenges while maintaining competitive standards and prioritizing health and safety.
As we continue to explore the world of elite men’s sports, it’s clear that success at the highest levels requires a holistic approach that addresses both physical and mental aspects of performance. By learning from diverse experiences, embracing personal responsibility, and fostering supportive environments, athletes can strive for excellence while maintaining their overall well-being. The future of elite sports will likely be shaped by those who can effectively balance the drive for competitive success with a commitment to personal growth and mental resilience.

Men, Mental Health and Elite Sport: a Narrative Review | Sports Medicine – Open
Injury
One of the most recognised risk factors for psychological distress amongst male athletes has been sports injury [5]. Major negative life events, including injury, may increase the risk of mental ill-health in elite athletes [6]. Injuries are particularly found to be associated with depression in athletes [7]. Symptoms of common mental disorders amongst both current and former athletes, including depression and anxiety, were found to be related to several determinants, particularly injury [8], and former athletes who had suffered from several severe injuries or surgeries were 2–7 times more likely to report symptoms of common mental disorders than former athletes without injury or surgery. Injured athletes have higher depression scores than non-injured athletes [7]. This may be due to the view that injured athletes are more likely to discuss their emotions related to the injury they are experiencing. It is suggested that professional footballers who had sustained one or more severe joint injuries during their career were three to four times more likely to report distress compared to footballers who had not suffered from severe joint injuries during their career [9]. Athletes suffer from a higher risk of injuries and 80% of the time, athletes attending for treatment on their injury also discussed their psychological issues caused by the injury [5]. In a focus group study, negative emotions such as depression, sadness and anger were potential outcomes for both short- and long-term injuries [10].
It is also worth considering the risk of head injuries and the link between head injuries and depression [10]. The concern of head injuries and particularly concussion is a topic of continuing debate in the United States (US). The National Football League (NFL) players regularly experience repeated trauma to their heads during each match they play. The limitations of this research need to be acknowledged as the evidence includes self-reports and self-selecting samples. There is a significant relationship between the number of self-reported concussions and self-reported depressive symptoms in retired NFL players [11]. Concussion and multiple brain injuries can be related to depression [12, 13]. Former NFL players took legal action against the NFL due to concerns that repeated head injuries and concussion were causing chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) which can only be diagnosed after death. A study found that 99% of professional NFL athletes had a disease associated with head injuries [14]. Out of a sample of 202 players, 87% were found to have traces of CTE. Although these results need to be viewed with caution as the brains of the sample were donated by concerned family members, however the awareness of the impact of head injuries and the link to depression, Alzheimer’s disease and CTE is certainly on the increase. Whatever the type or cause of sport injury and the physical impact it will have on the athlete, it will evidently serve as a psychological stressor for the athlete [15] .
Stress
A professional sports career can include in excess of 640 stressors that may induce common mental disorders [16]. Even if mental ill health was evident prior to involvement in sport, it may become amplified when athletes are faced with the stressors that are associated with elite sports [17]. Within elite sport, athletes face an extreme load of physical training and psychological stress [15]. There is a need to consider competition-induced stress either prior, during or immediately after competition [18], and include factors of an athlete’s sporting life including training, rehabilitation, team meetings and contract negotiations. Professional sportsmen are not immune from stress. They are vulnerable to profession-specific stressors as well as life events similar to the general population. The stress players experience does not end when their playing career does, it follows them into retirement. For example, retired professional footballers are as likely as anyone to be exposed to stressors especially major life events [9].
Retirement is a major life event that can have a significant impact when an athlete’s career is over. This can result in changes to an athlete’s interpersonal relationships, roles and daily routines. Athletes experience conflict in relation to deciding to continue in or retire from their sport and whether this would alleviate their depressive symptoms. They can develop feelings of worthlessness, and a mentality of cannot live with it, cannot live without it [19]. Career termination from elite sport has been associated with maladaptive coping strategies, depression, anxiety, increased hostility and anger and substance abuse [5]. Athletes who transition from active sport to retirement can experience a loss of identity, social networks and public identity [20]. Frequently, athletes do not recognise the impact of retirement until they are going through the process and involuntary career termination, such as injury, is more likely to have a negative impact upon an athlete’s mental health compared to voluntary career termination, which is a personal decision to retire [5]. There appears to be an unwillingness amongst younger athletes and those who perceive themselves to have a significant amount of time before they retire to develop concrete plans about their future career prior to their retirement [21]. Athletes with high levels of athletic identity will derive greater satisfaction from the athletic aspects of their lives [22], although athletes going into retirement with high levels of athletic identity are likely to experience adjustment problems [23]. Athletes who maintain a strong athletic identity up to the point of retirement may be vulnerable to career transition difficulties [24], and athletes whose identity is based on participation and success in sport are more vulnerable to psychological issues such as depression [25].
An autobiographic study of top level athletes found that several of the athletes reported external stressors including bereavement, family health concerns, relationship breakdown and multiple injuries [19]. Internal stressors such as self-loathing, social anxiety and self-criticism were also reported. Life stressors were also common in a study looking at suicide amongst test cricketers [26]. Health concerns, relationship breakdown and financial difficulties were cited as being external factors. The same study highlights that there have not been any suicides amongst test cricketers since 1998. This could be attributed to the fact that professional cricket has developed a culture where players are encouraged to seek support for the stress they endure, although mental health issues are still prevalent within cricket. The Professional Cricketer’s Association (PCA) have a benevolent fund and wealth of resources to support their members with any issues that they may experience [27]. There is a high prevalence of up to 38% for common mental disorders amongst current professional cricketers [28]. Cricketers’ career dissatisfaction led to an increase in distress and adverse life events led to reported symptoms of distress, anxiety and depression.
A study analysed sources of stress for Professional Australian Footballers [18]. Following interviews and focus groups, they identified 77 sources of stress and grouped them into 6 key themes. Two of these themes appear key in comparison to other studies. One theme regarding worries about performance expectations and standards is supported by the view that athletes experience a unique range of stressors including managing ongoing competitive pressures to perform [6], and the pressure to deliver peak performance [29]. Depressive symptoms can be related to the failure to achieve performance-related goals [30]. Another theme focused on the negative aspects of interpersonal relationships. This could relate to conflict with trainers, partners and family [15], or mistakes by teammates or a feeling of letting teammates down [31].
Depression
Athletes may be more predisposed to depression compared to the general population and suggests that this is due to the physical and psychological demands placed upon them by the sporting environment [32]. They are exposed to similar stressors as the general population with athletes experiencing bereavement, health concerns and relationship breakdowns [33]. Elite athletes are vulnerable to developing depressive symptoms due to their high status and extreme pressure that they experience [34]. Publicly evaluated performance and a perceived acceptance in an elite environment which is dependent upon results can be a vulnerability factor for depression [35]. This sport-related stress when combined with other factors including moving away from home, risk taking behaviours and disordered eating may increase the risk of athletes developing common mental disorders [10].
There are a number of factors that increase an athlete’s risk of depression compared with the general population [5]. These factors include injury, termination and performance pressures. There is a significant relationship between an athlete’s depressive symptoms and performance [36], and as an athlete’s depressive experiences intensified, their performances were negatively affected by their symptoms [19], although sometimes other symptoms of mental disorders such as anxiety can occur before depression.
There are mixed results within the literature examining athletes and depression. In US college athletes, 21.4% of athletes self-reported clinical symptoms of depression [37], and in Australian athletes, 46.4% of athletes experienced symptoms of at least one common mental disorder including 27.2% for depression [7]. The literature confirms that depression does exist within male athletes and there are a variety of factors both related to being an athlete and also factors comparable to the general population.
Anxiety
Anxiety in athletes can be both facilitative and debilitative. Elite athletes can view symptoms of anxiety as performance enhancing [38]. In some sports competition, anxiety is considered as normal, although athletes who experience excessive levels of competition anxiety can experience negative consequences such as impaired performance [39]. In some sports, for example cycling, pre-race anxiety is common, and anxiety can be both helpful and unhelpful to performance [40]. Competition anxiety can be linked to self-confidence and athlete’s self-confidence levels can fluctuate closer to the event and depending upon the level of competition. These competitive anxiety symptoms can become habitual and ingrained within the athlete [41]. High levels of self-confidence can help to protect athletes from interpreting anxiety symptoms as debilitative and change their emotional response to a positive state [42]. Younger athletes can be more susceptible to competition anxiety and social phobia in comparison to older athletes [43]. This is supported by a study examining the prevalence of anxiety and depression in Swiss football players. They found that male under-21 footballers had anxiety scores comparable to the general population, although footballers over 21 had significantly lower average anxiety scores [44]. In comparison, a study examining the prevalence of anxiety and depression of elite rugby league players found that the prevalence of generalised anxiety disorder symptoms ranged from 10. 1 to 14.6% which is in excess of the general population rate of 5% [45].
There is evidence to suggest that athletes who have experienced concussion may be at an increased risk of anxiety symptoms. Also, elite athletes may be susceptible to concussion due to pre-existing mental health symptoms, for example preoccupation, increased distraction or emotional dysregulation [46].
Overtraining
Another factor that can significantly impact upon an athlete’s mental health is overtraining, or the overtraining syndrome (OTS). This is where the human body attempts to cope with physiological and other stressors including physical training, sleep loss, exposure to environmental stresses (e.g., exposure to heat, high humidity, cold, high altitude), occupational pressures, change of residence and interpersonal difficulties [47]. OTS can be difficult to distinguish from depression as some of the symptoms such as fatigue, insomnia, appetite change, weight loss, lack of motivation and concentration difficulties overlap with each other [48]. OTS can occur when an athlete undergoes a rigorous training schedule and has an insufficient recovery period caused through other sources of non-training stress. Overtraining is a staleness in which athletes do not recover from previous exhaustion despite a recovery period of at least 2 weeks [15]. This may lead to maladaptive responses and in turn have a significant impact upon performance [49]. The prevalence of overtraining in elite athletes has been reported at between 20 and 60% and distance runners are the most severely affected [50]. An athlete’s addictive behaviour may be responsible for OTS due to their sustained and excessive training [51], also overtraining could be interpreted as a form of self-harm in that it may be that overtraining served the function of a cry for help and a maladaptive attempt to communicate internal distress [35].
The extreme of OTS is burnout, which has been reported in approximately 10% of elite athletes [50]. When an athlete is over trained, their motivation remains, although when athletes suffer from burnout, they typically experience chronic fatigue, poor sleep patterns, episodes of depression and helplessness [52]. It is therefore not surprising that their performance is negatively affected.
Disordered Eating
Disordered eating occurs on a continuum ranging from dieting and restrictive eating at one end, to abnormal eating behaviour, and clinical eating disorders at the other end of the continuum [53]. Male elite athletes are more vulnerable to eating disorders than males in the general population [54, 55]. A study on dieting and disordered eating found that 59% of the young male elite athletes were dissatisfied with their body, 19% were dieting and 11% had disordered eating [56]. The prevalence of disordered eating was 10%, 17% and 42% for endurance, weight class and antigravitations sports, respectively [56].
Elite athletes often embody the concept of physical perfection and they can often experience pressure to achieve an ‘ideal’ body type [57], and they can experience the stress of constantly denying hunger, obsessing about food, agonising over body weight and fearing high body weight which can be mentally exhausting.
Symptoms of eating disorders can occur more frequently in sports where low body weight enhances performance, which are subdivided in weight classes or in which weight is advantageous [58]. Elite athletes involved in weight-sensitive sports are at greater risk of developing eating disorders than the general population [59], and male athletes who compete in weight class sports such as wrestling and rowing are at an increased risk whilst male athletes who compete in swimming and figure skating are at a reduced risk for eating disorders [60]. Body weight is also important in sports where aerodynamics and reduced resistance or drag is important such as cycling and swimming [57]. Male athletes do have body anxieties but find it difficult to disclose their health-related concerns [61].
Substance Abuse
Substance abuse and substance addiction may be a concern within elite sport. Athletes often use substances to assist performance. The reasons they may abuse substances include stress relief, psychological dependence, negative emotions reduction and tolerance/withdrawal [62].
Higher rates of alcohol consumption and binge drinking may occur in athletes [63], and athletes may indulge in risk taking behaviours such as hazardous drinking [64]. Substance abuse amongst elite adolescent athletes and alcohol consumption is a cause for concern and binge drinking was performed by every third male athlete [65]. Current athletes consume more alcohol than non-athletes and alcohol consumption was more common amongst team sports athletes than other sports [66]. Cannabis appears to be the second most widely used drug after alcohol, although many elite athletes deny its use [67]. Men are more likely to use cannabis to improve both sport and non-sport performance [68], and male adolescents participating in organised sports are more likely to abuse opioids compared with both non-athlete peers and females [69]. Elite athletes may also become addicted to stimulants for performance enhancement, although they may be a range of adverse effects including anxiety, insomnia, irritability and weight loss [70]. Risk taking behaviour such as gambling within elite athletes is currently under-researched; however, gambling is widespread amongst professional athletes with at least 56% having gambled at least once in the previous year, which is much greater than the general population across Europe [71]. Anecdotal evidence suggests that gambling addiction is particularly problematic within professional football; however, further research needs to be commissioned to understand the issues in greater detail.
Help Seeking
It is clear from the literature that elite male athletes do experience a range of common mental disorders and stressors that are either created externally or internally. However, it appears that athletes prefer to discuss their issues or talk publicly after their elite career has ended. This is supported by the large number of sporting autobiographies released each year. A factor behind this reluctance to discuss issues during their playing career could be related to the stigma around mental health. Stigma has been highlighted as a barrier to help seeking in athletes [10]. The prevalence of common mental disorders in elite sport is underreported because of stigma [72]. There is a view that athletes who do seek help for psychological problems may be seen as weak by other athletes and coaches [73]; however, it is important to highlight that it is okay for men to talk about problems and feelings—it should not be seen as a sign of weakness, rather it is a strength [74].
A focus group study found that athletes would be worried about others finding out if they were seeking help for a mental health problem [10]. Stigma could be seen as a strategy to protect one’s survival in the team, as well as to cast out individuals who threatened the team’s success [75]. Athletes are used to being in the spotlight and may have ‘situational narcissism’ which can make it difficult for them to seek or accept assistance [76]. They also suggest that athletes may not easily discuss their emotions as they have been taught to work through pain.
There is starting to be a shift in help-seeking attitudes within elite sport. As previously mentioned, Cricket have put an emphasis upon player welfare as have Rugby League in particular. Rugby League in conjunction with National Health Service (NHS) professionals created State of Mind Sport (SOMS) followed the death of Terry Newton, an international rugby league player. SOMS has been supported by the Time to Change campaign, Mind, the Samaritans and the suicide prevention charity PAPYRUS, which has enabled former players to access their training programmes [74]. The supportive work that cricket and rugby are doing to break down barriers and challenge stigma are an important influence upon this review.
Mental Toughness
To understand mental health in elite sport, it is worth considering the concept of mental toughness and how that may impact upon an athlete. There is a belief that mental toughness and mental health are contradictory in elite sport [17]. The stigma regarding seeking help may jeopardise an athlete’s place in the team or their contract to compete. Therefore, seeking help to get better may have a detrimental effect in an athlete’s sporting role. Athletes were asked to define mental toughness in their own words and found that mental toughness provided the performer a psychological advantage over their opponents [77]. They also found that mentally tough performers consistently remained determined, focused, confident and in control of the pressures and demands of their sport. Mental toughness may represent a positive indicator of mental health, or facilitate its attainment, rather than be at odds with it [78]. Athletes and coaches may show an interest in programs that are termed mental toughness development in order to engage in discussions around mental health. State of Mind Sport have developed sessions for rugby players and used the language of ‘mental fitness’ to draw them in [74].
In terms of football, coaches were united in the notion that mental toughness is a key ingredient to a successful sporting career [79]. This was expressed in the notion that ‘It’s the difference between making or breaking careers’, and a significant influencer of team selection. Communication is important in mental toughness; mentally tough players would communicate positively by encouraging and activating their teammates, whereas negative communication either towards oneself, teammates or opponents were indicated as a sign of mental weakness [80]. Mentally tough academy players had a desire to achieve, a love for the sport alongside a commitment to excellence that translated passion into success [81].
London Marathon’s elite men on their preparation for race day
While there may be no Eliud Kipchoge at this year’s London Marathon, the Elite Men’s field is still packed with talent. The three favourites on Sunday – Ethiopia’s Shura Kitata and Birhanu Legese, and Kenya’s Evans Chebet – know what it takes to win big-ticket marathons. Kitata won the elite-only race here last year, while Legese is the third-fastest marathoner of all time, and Chebet was the fastest marathoner in the world in 2020. RW was among the world’s media to interview them about Sunday’s race. Here are some of the headlines.
1. Defending champion Shura Kitata is carrying a slight hamstring injury
‘I’ve had some late problems but I’m still running to win,’ he said. ‘I was prepared very well before the Olympic Games and, just two weeks before, had a hamstring injury. But I’m feeling ready to run on Sunday. The hamstring pain comes only at very high speed.’
2. The Kenya vs Ethiopia rivalry is a great motivator
‘It’s true, the race is usually a big competition between Kenya and Ethiopia, and we expect it to be the same on Sunday,’ said Kitata. ‘It will be very hard but we believe we will win.’ Kenya’s Evans Chebet added: ‘The rivalry is there. I know that the Ethiopians are used to kicking in the last 200m so it will be a challenging race and it’s going to require a lot of strength in the end to win the race.’
3. The course record will be under threat
Birhanu Legese’s PB is only 11 seconds slower than Kipchoge’s course record of 2:02:37. He believes, if conditions are favourable, he could beat it. ‘It depends on the weather on the day,’ he said. ‘If the weather is good, I plan to break the record; that’s my target and I’ve prepared for it.’
4. They’re excited to be back running in front of crowds
‘It’s been a tough time,’ said Legese. ‘But we are pleased that everything is returning to normal and are looking forward to hearing the cheering of the crowd. It encourages us a lot. It makes a big difference.’
5. Kipchoge gives Chebet confidence – but he has his own motivation
‘If Eliud is watching, it gives me morale to run faster,’ said Chebet. ‘But we [he and his competitors on Sunday] have our times already and my goal is to get a personal best – maybe 2:02 or 2:03, depending on conditions. I’m looking forward to the race. If Eliud is watching that gives me morale, but I have my own motivation – and that is to win.’

Reseeding the men’s March Madness 2021 field for the Elite Eight
With just one more win, four teams on this list will say they’ve reached the Final Four. For some, it will be their first trip in years. Others might not view it as a grand accomplishment at all since they started the season with real national title hopes.
The remaining field has been unpredictable. Sixty percent of the Pac-12 teams that secured a spot in the NCAA tournament on Selection Sunday are still alive. Just one Big Ten team remains.
At this point, the way a team is currently playing and whether we think it can advance again carry the most weight on this ranking. Sure, you can judge Oregon State on its 14-12 regular-season record — I have, and I wouldn’t recommend it — or you can focus on its 9-1 record in its past 10 games. The only thing that seems clear right now is Gonzaga is the best team in America and Michigan and Baylor would put up a hell of a fight against the Bulldogs if they get their chance. The rest? Who knows? Certainly not the guy who ranked Oregon State 14th and UCLA 15th on a reseeded list of the Sweet 16 teams.
Without further ado — because Pac-12 fans have been anxiously awaiting its arrival — we present our reseeding of the Elite Eight:
Head to Tournament Challenge and check on your bracket!
1. Gonzaga Bulldogs (Original seed: No. 1. Reseed: No. 1)
Winning a national title with an undefeated record in the state of Indiana would offer Gonzaga a symbolic backdrop to a rare achievement. The 1975-76 Hoosiers are the last team to complete a perfect season, and Gonzaga would be the first to do it since the field expanded to 64 teams in 1985. That chance at history has lingered all season for Mark Few’s team. Rather than just focus on the great teams that couldn’t win a title after a perfect regular season, however, it’s also important to note the great teams in recent years that didn’t even get to the Final Four. Zion Williamson and Duke in 2019. Kentucky had Malik Monk, Bam Adebayo and De’Aaron Fox and couldn’t get there in 2017. A year prior to that run, Denzel Valentine, the Wooden Award winner in 2016, and Michigan State lost in the first round. Aaron Gordon, T.J. McConnell, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Arizona lost to Wisconsin in the Elite Eight in 2014.

This annual, single-elimination affair swallows excellent teams every season. But the squads that fell short hadn’t created the separation between themselves and their competition that Gonzaga appears to possess right now. The team’s 83-65 win over Creighton on Sunday was a microcosm of its season. Sure, you know Jalen Suggs, Drew Timme and Corey Kispert are the anchors. But Joel Ayayi (13 points on Sunday) and Andrew Nembhard (17 points) can hurt you, too. USC can make Tuesday’s game interesting — or just act as another stepping-stone toward a historic achievement for the Bulldogs.
2. Baylor Bears (Original seed: No. 1. Reseed: No. 1)
After Baylor’s 83-74 loss to Oklahoma State in the semifinals of the Big 12 tournament, the Bears didn’t appear to be on the same page. Cade Cunningham had just scored 25 points and Baylor, the top 3-point-shooting team in America, had finished 6-for-28 from beyond the arc. MaCio Teague said then his team had “bigger problems than shooting.” Mark Vital said he wanted Davion Mitchell to guard Cunningham throughout the game. Since then, however, the Bears have reminded us why they’ve been the most impressive team over the past two years in college basketball.
They beat Hartford by 24 points in the opening round. They recorded 119 points per 100 possessions against a Wisconsin team with a top-15 mark in adjusted defensive efficiency, per KenPom. On Saturday, the Bears were struggling against Villanova in the first half, but they showed their versatility after the break. Mitchell led the way as Baylor attacked the basket and beat a good Villanova team by double digits — despite missing 6 of 7 3-point attempts after halftime.
Baylor isn’t making those shots the way it did in the regular season. But it also seems like this squad has regrouped. The Bears are getting better. And entering their matchup against Arkansas on Monday, they look dominant again. They have three players — Jared Butler, Mitchell and Teague — who can take anyone off the dribble and drive or come off high screens and hit deep 3-pointers. A team without three incredible one-on-one defenders will struggle against this Baylor squad. You can’t focus on one player — the way Eric Musselman focused on stopping Oral Roberts’ Max Abmas on Saturday — and beat this team.
3. Michigan Wolverines (Original seed: No. 1. Reseed: No. 1)
Leonard Hamilton has been coaching college basketball since the early 1970s. He has seen it all. After Florida State’s 76-58 loss to Michigan on Sunday, he admitted that the Wolverines presented a unique set of problems with 7-foot-1 center Hunter Dickinson operating in the post. “This team executed so well,” Hamilton said. “Their spacing was unbelievable. They were extremely patient. We had a hard time turning them over. They really, really played off of their big guy. We spent so much time trying to defend Hunter, and they get to their perimeter shooters when the clock would run down to about 10 seconds left on the shot clock. They continue to keep staying in their system and they executed and made plays right toward the end. That’s what a good team will do.”
Juwan Howard has turned Dickinson into a space-gobbling paint monster who demands attention and makes life so much easier for a Michigan team that’s stacked with capable scorers. In three NCAA tournament wins, five different players (Dickinson, Mike Smith, Eli Brooks, Chaundee Brown and Brandon Johns) have either led the team in scoring outright or shared the lead with a teammate. And you could make the case that Franz Wagner (13 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block) was Michigan’s MVP on Sunday.
The anticipated offensive slide without injured standout Isaiah Livers has not arrived. Here are Michigan’s points per 100 possessions in its three wins: 114 (Texas Southern), 119 (LSU) and 112 (Florida State). All of that without the services of a player averaging 13.1 PPG and connecting on 43% of his 3-point attempts. The Michigan offense has kept rolling because the team’s head coach is already one of the best in college basketball. If the Wolverines can get past UCLA in the Elite Eight, they might complicate Gonzaga’s path to the national championship.
4. USC Trojans (Original seed: No. 6. Reseed: No. 1)
The Trojans really know how to pounce on an opponent. On Dec. 1, they beat BYU by 26 points, a larger margin of victory than Gonzaga had in its three wins over the Cougars this season. They beat UCLA by 18 points on Feb. 6. They held Oregon to 58 points in a 14-point win on Feb. 22. Their combined margin of victory in three wins over Drake, Kansas and Oregon in the NCAA tournament? 64 points. For some Pac-12 fans, this might feel like déjà vu. The Pac-12 now has three teams in the Elite Eight for the second time, and first since 2001.
Andy Enfield’s squad will enter Tuesday’s matchup against Gonzaga as an underdog — a fiery underdog with a projected top-three pick (Evan Mobley) leading the way. On Sunday, USC smashed an Oregon team — for the second time this season — that had just smashed Iowa in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Trojans have manufactured two of the NCAA tournament’s most incredible efforts. They shot 61% from the 3-point line in their 85-51 win over Kansas in the second round. The Trojans followed that effort with their second double-digit win of the season over Oregon (82-68) in the Sweet 16 on Sunday. They made 59 percent of their 3-point attempts in that victory, and Isaiah Mobley and Evan Mobley combined to score 23 points against the Ducks. But it was Tahj Eaddy (20 points, 3-for-6 from the 3-point line) and Isaiah White (22 points, 4-for-5 from beyond the arc) who exploited the space Oregon offered in its attempt to stall the Mobleys. Tuesday should be fun.
5. Oregon State Beavers (Original seed: No. 12. Reseed: No. 2)
Wayne Tinkle knows this late-season feeling. He was a first-year assistant — following a professional career as a player overseas — at his alma mater, Montana, during the 2001-02 season when the Grizzlies struggled to a 13-14 record (7-7 in league play). Then, Montana won the Big Sky tournament to secure a trip to the NCAA tournament. That team lost in the first round to Oregon. His current Oregon State team, however, is still enjoying this magical journey that — much like that Montana squad’s run to a conference title nearly 20 years ago — doesn’t respect logic.
The truth is that Oregon State is playing its best basketball at the most important juncture of the season. Its three wins thus far have been a statistical anomaly. No team in at least 36 years has won three games in the NCAA tournament as an underdog of six points or more, per ESPN Stats & Information research. On paper, however, it makes sense. Ethan Thompson is a star, and OSU’s 3-pointers are falling at a rate that would have been unimaginable during the regular season. Plus, the Beavers have built a dam around the basket. (Sorry.) All three of their NCAA tournament opponents have failed to score at a clip higher than 0.97 points per possession, which was the average offensive output for a South Carolina team that finished 6-15 this season.
Now, the Beavers will face a Houston squad that needs Quentin Grimes to put up big numbers to avoid the struggles it endured when he was on the bench early against Syracuse on Saturday. Can Oregon State advance again? We probably shouldn’t be asking that question anymore.
6. Houston Cougars (Original seed: No. 2. Reseed: No. 2)
On Saturday, Kelvin Sampson said he hadn’t reflected on the historic meaning of his team’s 62-46 win over Syracuse, sealing the school’s first trip to the Elite Eight in 37 years. In 1984, the last time it happened, Hakeem Olajuwon was a consensus first-team All-American for a Houston team that lost to Georgetown in the national championship game. “I think you should honor the past,” Sampson said after Saturday’s game. “I think you should live in the present. [Thirty-seven] years ago is irrelevant to our team. Our team is now.”
That’s not exactly true. Prior to this season, Houston had made only six trips to the NCAA tournament after the run in 1984. But the recent investment that has given the school some of America’s top facilities is a testament to what those around the program believe it can be. That doesn’t happen without 1984. Without that run and its impact on the program’s image, Quentin Grimes, Houston’s first member of an Associated Press All-America squad since Olajuwon, might not have considered going back home to Texas after leaving Kansas.
But the “now” Sampson referenced is impressive. Grimes is averaging 18.0 PPG while connecting on 41% of his 3-point attempts. Houston’s three opponents in the NCAA tournament have combined to make just 39% of their shots inside the arc. Its offense needs Grimes, though. It stalled when he went to the bench with his second foul in the first half of Saturday’s win over the Orange. Yet the Cougars know how to win ugly, too. Their path has been fortuitous. Oregon State will be the fourth consecutive double-digit seed this team has faced in the NCAA tournament.
7. UCLA Bruins (Original seed: No. 11. Reseed: No. 2)
A few months after he accepted the job in 2019, Mick Cronin walked across the UCLA campus without causing a stir, something that would have been unlikely at his former stop in Cincinnati. It was safe to wonder then how a Midwest guy like Cronin would adapt to the West Coast and a sports culture that mostly celebrates, and expects, greatness from its local teams. This surprising Elite Eight run might not meet the standard (yet) for a program with UCLA’s legacy, but it’s an undeniable sign that Cronin belongs. It’s also the last step in one of the most memorable Pac-12 runs in recent NCAA tournament history.
The Bruins’ 88-78 win over SEC regular-season and conference tournament champion Alabama — the Crimson Tide shot 11-for-25 from the free throw line — sealed this piece of history: It’s the first time two teams seeded 11th or lower made the Elite Eight in the same postseason, per ESPN Stats & Information research. Three of UCLA’s four wins have been by double digits. Johnny Juzang is averaging 20.0 PPG. The Bruins won in overtime even though he fouled out with just under two minutes to go in regulation.
And now Cronin gets a shot at Michigan. Ignore the odds in this one. Yes, winning their fifth game in this tournament would be a monumental task for the Bruins, but Sunday’s win over Alabama was impressive. Nate Oats’ squad has been in the top three in adjusted defensive efficiency on KenPom all season, yet UCLA recorded 111 points per 100 possessions against Alabama. The free throw problems were an undeniable factor in the loss for Alabama. But the game also marked the fourth consecutive offensive barrage from Cronin’s team, which is averaging 78.5 points per game in the NCAA tournament.
8. Arkansas Razorbacks (Original seed: No. 3. Reseed: No. 2)
In 2003, Eric Musselman finished second in the NBA Coach of the Year race after leading the Golden State Warriors to a 38-44 record — the team had won 21 games in the previous season — in his first year with the franchise. That season, he tapped a 5-foot-5 guard named Earl Boykins, an undrafted afterthought at the time who’d been bouncing around the league, to log 19.4 minutes per game and boost his bench. Boykins, now the director of student-athlete development at Arkansas, averaged 8.8 PPG that season and spent the next chapter of his career as a coveted role player in the NBA. That’s Musselman’s strength. He just seems to know when to elevate a player.
It happened this season with Davonte Davis, who hit the game-winning shot in the Razorbacks’ 72-70 win over Oral Roberts on Saturday. Davis didn’t get that confidence overnight. The freshman and former top-100 prospect wasn’t even a consistent starter until Musselman promoted him against Mississippi State on Feb. 2. Arkansas has lost just one game (vs. LSU in the SEC tournament) with Davis, who is averaging 14.3 PPG in the NCAA tournament, becoming a starter during this stretch. The Razorbacks have also averaged 105 points per 100 possessions with Davis on the floor — and just 90 points per 100 possessions without him — during their 12-1 run, per hooplens. com. Their game against Baylor in the Elite Eight will be their toughest matchup this season.

Preview: What you need to know about the elite men’s road race at Flanders Worlds
More than five months after the heart of Classics season, the stars of one-day racing are back in Flanders this week for a shot at a world title. The 2021 UCI Road World Championships will conclude with the elite men’s road race on Sunday.
As ever, most of the biggest names in the sport will be in the mix to vie for the rainbow jersey, and this year, we’ll have a chance to see them battle for that title in the bike racing heartland that is Belgium. The stage is set for a great show.
Here’s what you need to know ahead of the race …
The Route
The elite men’s road race at the World Championships covers 268.3 km, starting in Antwerp and finishing Leuven. The geography of the course is best understood accompanied by a map, because the route jumps between two circuits multiple times.
After leaving Antwerp, the peloton will head south to Leuven. There, the riders will do one and a half laps on a Leuven-area circuit, one lap on a larger circuit to the southwest that organizers have dubbed the Flandrien circuit, four more Leuven circuit laps, one more Flandrien circuit lap, and then two and a half Leuven circuit laps to close things out.
Although “Flanders Worlds” may bring the Tour of Flanders to mind, the event heads more into Brabantse Pijl territory. A steady stream of very short but punchy climbs awaits once the pack arrives in Leuven, and the ascents build up to a total elevation gain of 2,562 meters. None of the climbs is all that hard on its own, but most could be a launching pad for a solo attacker or a small group trying to get clear from a tired pack late in the race.
The final trip up the Smeysberg on the Flandrien circuit could be an interesting place for a long-range move, while any one of the Sint-Antoniusberg (ascended three times in the finale), or the Keizersberg, Decouxlan, or Wijnpers climbs (ascended twice in the finale) could see attacks fly. Whatever the size of the lead group in the end, the finish is slightly uphill, which will add another element of intrigue in the waning moments of the race.
It will be interesting to see how the weather affects the racing in Flanders. As of Friday, the forecast calls for rain in the morning, with things likely to clear up as the day goes on, but with the wind picking up in the afternoon as well.
The Favorites
While there are plenty of riders worthy of contender status for the elite men’s road race at Flanders Worlds, it should be a pretty open race with no rider enjoying odds-on status ahead of the field. The nature of the course plays a big role there. Two days out, it’s tough to say whether this will come down to a solo attacker, a small group, or even a reduced bunch sprint. What’s more, this is a Worlds race, meaning that national teams of varying sizes will be tasked with keeping things under control, and that can make things unpredictable, as we saw at the Tokyo Olympics. In other words, there are a lot of names in play as potential winners here.
The one that stands out most of all is Wout van Aert, who headlines a strong home team. Van Aert’s big engine, strong climbing legs, and elite finishing kick make him a potential winner in practically any scenario, and he put his strong form on display with an impressive Tour of Britain and a runner-up ride in the individual time trial at Worlds last Sunday. Belgian fans have reason to be optimistic with a rider who has won Milan-San Remo, the Amstel Gold Race, Gent-Wevelgem, and Strade Bianche leading the way on a course like this.
Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) sprints to his fourth win of the week on stage 8 of the Tour of Britain, snatching the overall title in the eleventh hour.
What’s more, the Belgians have a bit more team firepower than they did in Tokyo to chase down late moves or even try something of their own. Remco Evenepoel, Jasper Stuyven, and Yves Lampaert will make excellent lieutenants and possibly additional cards to play for the squad.
Van Aert’s longtime rival Mathieu van der Poel (Netherlands) is another obvious contender. The course suits him too, with the biggest question mark being his health after he has dealt with back issues for some time now. That said, he won the Antwerp Port Epic earlier this month, and he is Mathieu van der Poel, so it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see him on flying form. While he does have a fast finish of his own, Van der Poel may be best suited to putting in a late attack, so keep an eye out for the Dutchman on the late climbs.
The defending champion, Julian Alaphilippe (France), would probably have preferred a harder course, but if he puts in a big dig on one of the late climbs, he could potentially get clear. He did win Brabante Pijl last year on similar terrain, and strong showings at the Bretagne Classic and the Tour of Britain suggest that he is in fine form.
Julian Alaphilippe en route to victory at Worlds in 2020.
Benoît Cosnefroy will give France a solid second option, with Arnaud Démare also in attendance, hoping to hold on just in case this comes down to a bigger sprint.
Sonny Colbrelli headlines the Italian squad, and he comes into the race on fantastic form after winning the Benelux Tour, the European road title, and the Memorial Marco Pantani. The highest-profile wins have eluded the extremely talented Colbrelli thus far in his career, but this Worlds suits him perfectly. He doesn’t mind a tough day on the bike following by a reduced sprint, and there’s a great chance of that being the way this race plays out. His teammate Matteo Trentin makes for a fine backup option for Italy.
The Danes have perhaps the most interesting squad in this race. The way I see it, there are no fewer than four potential winners in Denmark’s lineup, with Tour of Flanders winner Kasper Asgreen leading the way. Asgreen looked good in the Worlds TT, finishing fourth, only two seconds off the podium. Michael Valgren and Magnus Cort have both put their form on display with recent wins as well, and Mads Pedersen is of course a former world champ who thrives on Classics terrain. If all four are feeling good, Denmark could potentially try make or get into moves with Valgren, Cort, and Asgreen, and look to Pedersen should things end in a bigger sprint. Outside of the Belgians with the top pre-race favorite, the Danes seem like the most likely team to take home the world title, one way or another.
Slovenia also has an intriguing squad with three big names who will all be trying to surge clear of the pack and avoid a sprint. Matej Mohoric, who has a history of thriving on this terrain at the race now known as the Benelux Tour, has enjoyed a great year, taking two Tour de France stages along with a few other big results. And then, of course, there are Tadej Pogačar and Primož Roglič, who are far better one-day racers than we’re used to seeing from Grand Tour champions these days.
Tadej Pogačar and Primož Roglič in action at the Itzulia Basque Country.
If anything, the Slovenians at least have the firepower to make this an interesting race.
Four years ago, Peter Sagan (Slovakia) probably would have been the number one overall favorite for this race, but it’s been some time since he showed the kind of dominance that made him such a strong contender all across the calendar. Still, he’s only 31, and if he’s in form, he certainly has the tools and the experience to be in the mix. Michael Matthews (Australia) is another rider with the versatility and the experience to be a contender. Like Sagan, he would have been more of a favorite a few years ago, but he’s still a rider to watch. Australia also has Caleb Ewan; it’d be a surprise to see him hold on through to the finale, but if he can, he would obviously be a contender in a sprint.
Other outsiders to keep an eye on include Tom Pidcock, Ethan Hayter, and Mark Cavendish (Great Britain), Marc Hirschi (Switzerland), Alexander Kristoff (Norway), and Michal Kwiatkowski (Poland).
We won’t have long to wait now to see how it all plays out. The battle for the elite men’s world road title kicks off on Sunday at 10:25 local time, and by sometime that evening, we’ll know who has earned the right to wear the rainbow bands for the next year.
90,000 Elite man and elite woman ~ Prose (Psychology)
Communication, relationship and interaction between a man and a woman is an oceanic world and a bunch of circumstances.
Elite man

Not every man is a real man, especially in today’s culture, which is becoming more and more feminine. But even if the boy was brought up properly and became a real man, he has not yet become the best.An ordinary man can be quite a real man: strong, courageous, decisive, he will not let go of his own and will grab someone else’s, he is responsible for himself and for his woman, but a man is not an elite. An alpha male, a real man, confidently humiliating other males and leading the pack as a leader – the leader, but not obviously the elite. Not every real man is an elite man.
Strength, courage, will and determination are the qualities of a real man. For an elite man, this is necessary, but not enough.
The image of an elite man largely corresponds to the image of the King, where status is combined with culture and good breeding.Qualities that distinguish an elite male from an alpha male and from a male:
Reason, intelligence, logic, education.
Development of positions of perception.
He is healthy, keeps track of his physical form, vitality.
Good manners, culture, manners, charming.
Has a status, is engaged in a worthy cause.
Personality: courage, individuality, goes its own way.
Father’s warmth and exactingness.
Self-control, endurance, tolerance.
Wisdom and decency.
Real man
Author: N.I. Kozlov
Boys and girls are different from the start. Since childhood, girls prefer to play with dolls, outfits and relationships, boys are more interested in cars, to construct something and fight. You can, of course, raise a girl from a boy, but why? Probably, it is worth raising a man from a boy. A real man.
A real man is different from both a bumpkin and a human child.”Let’s be honest – whether you are a man or not, is determined not only by physiology. And no” feats “in the field of physiology make a mama’s son a man. woman “- a successful man says to the future man.
A real man is a social role and a collective image that embodies the best male features [1]. To become a real man, you need a lot – the development of a courageous body, a warm and deep soul, a strong mind and masculine spirit, as well as attitudes, beliefs and manners corresponding to male culture.
What is male culture and male psychology?
A man lives by reason, not by feelings and emotions. We ponder and solve difficult questions, but do not worry, do not complain, do not postpone for …
A man is demanding, and first of all to himself. He knows what debt and “owes” are, and the sooner the better. Optimally – from the age of three, from the moment of realizing oneself as a person. It is possible to make mistakes, to correct your mistakes is obligatory and at your own expense.
A man is the one who makes decisions and who is responsible for his decisions. If a woman is forced to answer for a man’s decisions, this is not a man, but a mama’s son, a man. If a man is responsible for the decisions that a woman made for him, this is not a man, but a henpecked man, a peasant.
A man knows his male responsibilities. Male honor: to honor the law, to protect loved ones and the homeland. The man is the protector. A man protects loved ones and what is dear to him. In any case, he lives not only for himself. A man should build a house, plant a tree and raise a son.
The man has his path and his business. At the very least, a man knows how to work and is not afraid of work.
Men do not cry. The belief “Men don’t cry” is an essential part of a man’s upbringing. Crying in itself is not embarrassing or harmful. It is good to cry with joy, you can cry at a funeral, where it is appropriate and accepted. But in other situations where children and women can cry, men do not. Men do not cry, because for them it is usually meaningless, and in order to remain men, that is, strong and reasonable people.
Men are not afraid. The fact that men are not afraid is not a fact, it is a standard of male culture. Fear as a physiological reaction of the body can sometime happen in every person (albeit to a different degree), but a boy raised as a man should do what he should, and not pay attention to his fears, moreover, not be guided by them ↑.
Men’s entertainment – fight and grab something. One of the meanings of a man’s life is occupation, the seizure of a larger territory and power over it.
Note that at different times and in different cultures, the image of a real man could be very different and not always attractive to a modern person. However, how do you achieve the best of this list? What does the upbringing of a real man consist of?
It is easier to write what will be a mistake. When a boy is seen as small and helpless, when he is pitied and protected, when they worry first of all “no matter what happened to him” – in such conditions it is difficult for a boy to turn into a man.Perhaps he will simply rebel and turn into a man through the line of the bully, but this path is dangerous and undesirable. Most likely, a cute no creature will grow up, perhaps educated, but without will and masculine decisiveness, capable of feeling, but poorly able to set goals and act.
A real man is brought up only by a man; the father should be involved in the upbringing of a boy. The father will give examples of male behavior and will treat his son like a man. The father will not regret and sympathize, he will first of all demand, and even his support will be different: support by challenge.
Male education
Women often regret that today’s boys lack male upbringing, and as a result of the lack of male upbringing, men do not behave like men. This is a huge truth, but are we ourselves ready for such upbringing, including are women themselves ready to accept the difficult norms of male upbringing, upbringing like a man?

Among women, the sad statement is often heard that there are no decent men or few. Oddly enough, in this case it is not a myth, it is true: statistically reliably, there is one decent man for every two decent women. However, the conclusions that can and should be drawn from this are not obvious. Moreover, as a rule, wrong conclusions are drawn from this, but in order to understand this, you need to understand this issue in more detail.
Nature experiments on men. He puts all the most reliable in women.
On average, 107 boys are born per 100 girls, 105 boys are born per 100 girls, somewhere around 18-20 the number of boys and girls is approximately equal, by the age of 30 there are 100 women for 90 men. Thus, at an age that is interesting for an active family life, the number of men is about the same as the number of women. However – attention! – now the most important thing.
With all due respect to “men in general,” it must be admitted that specific men differ greatly in their quality in general and, in particular, in their suitability for living together in a family. There are men who are very worthy, there are ordinary and different, and there are those with whom no respectable woman will associate her life. It is clear that most of all men are of ordinary quality, average men, and if the entire population of men is drawn on a graph, where the quality is vertical and the quantity is horizontal, then it is easy to depict all this in the form of a standing oval. So, if we draw the female population on the same axes, then we get an oval of about the same area, but lying: see the figure “The ratio of the number of men and women in different categories.”
What does it mean? This means that in accordance with the theory of V.A. Geodakyan, the male population has a significantly wider range of advantages and disadvantages than the female population. Simply put, the bulk of women are generally quite decent people, but men are very different. Among men, there are always more people with deviations in any direction.
Who are more alcoholics: men or women? Men. Who is more, men or women – unable to have a sex life? There are more impotent men than categorically frigid women.Who is more likely to commit crimes and go to jail? – Men.
Indicators of elite – knowledge of their goals (J. Kennedy).
This does not mean that men are worse than women, the point is different. According to genetics, nature experiments on men, and all the most reliable and proven is invested in women. Males are born initially with a wide range of qualities than females.
Height: it is men who often turn out to be both giants and dwarfs, women, as a rule, are usually of normal, medium height.Intelligence: among men there are more morons and geniuses, and women often have normal, average everyday intelligence. Among the homeless, there are usually three or four former men for one ex-woman, but even among the saints there are more masculine faces … Women are normal, men are special.
Hence the difference in the shape of the oval: the population of women is densely clustered around the average quality, all women are mostly of average decency, the oval is lying. And for men, there is a much greater spread in both directions, both up and down, the oval is standing. And the most serious consequences follow from this.
To describe them, let’s divide both populations, male and female, into three parts. The middle is normal men and normal women. Downstairs, unfortunately, sucks. Above – the elite.
The name is conditional, but it is difficult to find a better one. These are not elite, but simply the best men and the best women. I would like to believe that you have met beautiful, decent, healthy mind and body people in your life. Or you will definitely meet.
What is the everyday situation of a woman, let’s call her Masha, if Masha is an ordinary average woman among ordinary women. She is interesting to men, men are interesting to her, only: what kind of men are we talking about? Men in the “sucks” category will have to be crossed out right away: Masha who are completely depressed are not interesting for Masha, she does not consider them. Out of 100 men, we will cross out 20. Men in the “elite” category, unfortunately, will have to be crossed out too: princes are looking for princesses, Masha has little chance there. From the remaining 80 we will cross out another 20.
Total: for ordinary women, the situation is unfavorable: for 100 normal women there are only 60 men, with whom you can seriously create a normal family. It is clear that such a situation objectively puts women in not very favorable conditions: men have a choice, and she is forced to act in a situation of tough competition. In this situation, a large number of women make a decision – to fight for men, learn to actively win their attention, quickly tie to themselves and by any means keep them. If there are no free men, such women are ready to beat off married men, including from their girlfriends … It seems that such decisions are still not worthy.
For women at a lower level, the situation is even more difficult. If some girl turns out to be not even Masha, but an accessible Masha, that is, at the lower level among normal women, in fact, on the verge between normal girls and those whom it is difficult to call women, then the prospects of her family happiness are all the more difficult to discern: decent men They won’t call her a wife, and she herself does not hurt and needs the rest. Sadly. No psychology will help here.
Why be an elite woman .
However, there is light at the end of the tunnel, you just need to go from the other end, look at the situation from the point of view of worthy people, people of a high level of culture. What is the everyday situation of the most beautiful, most intelligent, decent and in all respects worthy men? On the topic of “dating girls” – of course, there are no problems, but finding yourself a worthy girlfriend is not an easy situation. There are few women for his requirements. Not that he was overly choosy, but objectively there are few women above average.Meeting different women is fun, but listening to her nonsense, but imagining that such a woman will become the mother of his children, that she will take her irritation on them – no, I want something more decent. And where to get such wise, attentive, loving?
This is the best way out for the wisest girls and women.
Smart and dignified girls should not turn into female bitches, they should not engage in mastering the skills of capturing and retaining men and tracking the subversive activities of rival friends who need to be driven away from their husbands all the time.If a girl spends her time and energy on something else, namely, to raise her level, to raise her personal qualities to the level of an elite woman, her life situation will change in an amazing way. She will no longer need to hunt men, these are men, and the most worthy men will line up, seeking her attention and her consent to become the wife of the best of them.
Total: a woman’s personal life radically depends on what level of woman she turned out to be. If she did not take particular care of herself and, as a result, does not represent anything special, she will have an objectively difficult life, it is objectively difficult for her to find a normal man.If the girl thought about her future in time, did not take up worries, but began to work on herself and developed herself into a personality above the average level, then life opens her arms to her. The most worthy men will be at her feet and will be happy to take care of her all their lives. And she will choose the best of them and will love him all her life, because she knows how to choose, and build relationships, and love. After all, she is an elite woman! Girls, this definitely makes sense.

How to become an elite woman
Author: N.I. Kozlov
Your real strength is more than mere beauty. The main power of a woman is the mind, because desire is born in the head. 00:00
Learn, learn and learn. Learn pleasure, beauty, gait, seduction of movements …
Qualities of an elite woman.
An elite girl in a situation of danger does not yell and trusts men. And he will use them – in the name of their own good.
There are men that women dream of – men who are smart, worthy, and loving. And what kind of woman do such men dream of? How to become a woman for whom the best men will fight?
Let’s call her an elite woman, but let’s not mean the secular elite in intrigues and scandals, but a woman – a dream come true.
Yes, she is beautiful, beautiful outwardly – but almost any woman who looks after herself is beautiful, a woman is well-groomed and in good physical shape. Not being guided by the appeals “be a little foolish”, an elite woman is smart, truly educated, erudite, always in development.
Calls from women’s trainings “allow yourself to be a woman” are empty, like a young man to say: “Allow yourself to be an academician!” It won’t work, you have to work. Girls want to relax and plunge into the stream of emotions, but this is not what an elite woman does. The mind of an elite woman is calm, but it never turns off. Not listening to the slogans “turn off the head”, in any situation she behaves “with her head”, she is reasonable, she knows her goals perfectly and she has developed self-control. She has deep feelings and vivid emotions, but she owns her emotions, not her emotions. Her mind is the development of positions of perception: she knows her own needs and feels the needs of other people, knows how to look at everything from a distance and see distant prospects, and at the same time, she is close to the position of an Angel: disinterested concern for those close and distant.
She remembers that the strength of a woman is in her weakness, but her strength is not only in this. She is confident in herself, she has the courage to value herself and declare her desires, she dares to be demanding, being able to insist on her legitimate interests from the list of what is realistically achieved. She knows perfectly well what a format is in a relationship, and will never allow herself to be disrespected. Of course, she is a leader, but she knows how to do it so tactfully and rather covertly, using, among other things, positive manipulations – so that a man next to her will always feel respected and significant. She knows how to raise people’s self-esteem, support their best aspirations, make people big and strong out of them. She stands behind every big man – a woman queen.
She is distinguished by culture, good manners and good manners, and this always makes an impression on close acquaintance. She has a soft voice, correct pronunciation, fluidity in movements and beautiful soft gestures. The Queen is taste and style, which does not interfere, but only emphasizes her sexuality and creates the right background for her female military arsenal. She knows how to win men – the best men!
The queen woman is always in a good mood, warm and welcoming, and even in difficult situations she is characterized by regret instead of discontent, there is no nightmare, horror, tantrums and impulsive reactions, there is endurance and tolerance, calmness and efficiency. She does not play at suffering and helplessness, does not blame and does not justify herself, she confidently behaves like the author of her life, charging people with her energy and infecting them with optimism. She has lively eyes, the general feeling from her is Sunshine.
Such simple things as honesty and family spirit are the perfect adornment for an elite woman! For her man, she is a Muse and companion. Among decent people, she chooses her man both with her mind and heart, she knows how to love faithfully and wisely, building relationships in such a way that there is no place for jealousy and sick attachments. She knows how to love and chooses those whom to love is definitely worth it, whom not to love is impossible.

What is the secret of call boys and does it need to be solved?
Usually, to draw attention to their service, people resort to a detailed description of its qualities and benefits. Escort for women also requires similar tricks, but there is much more to this service than you can tell.In addition to the usual theses about pleasure, we want to resort to the most important thing – the formation and restoration of femininity and self-confidence. Call boys hit exactly this “place”, reminding their lady that it is on her that the whole universe is tied. Boldly? This is how a real woman should feel, but in the bustle of our dynamic world, she forgets about this, dissolving in everyday life, problems, affairs and other people. Bedtime guys are just a tool to bring yourself to your senses. And at the same time have fun. After all, an escort for ladies is also a way to fill a lonely evening.

Our curiosity is always ahead of us, therefore, without even ordering a guy, we want to know how we will spend time with him. You can only fantasize, but it’s important to know that call boys are not movie plumbers that are not talked about out loud. These are ordinary guys who live their own lives, do business, business, have hobbies and lead an active social life. They don’t come to put you to bed, they come to show you how time can pass in the company of a man. It’s nice to chat with them about everything in the world, discuss movies, even some business issues, talk about problems, get practical recommendations, share plans and just keep quiet. In the company of men on call, it is comfortable even if there is silence. At this moment it is even more pleasant – after all, you move to a higher level of relationship, where twilight, touch, breath and smell reign.

Because in the world of business, men’s laws still reign, and a woman is undergoing the greatest difficulties. When at a business meeting a business woman feels the support of a man on a call that she likes, she behaves much bolder and does not allow her to be beaten on any issue.
And then … It’s nice to be alone with the man of your dreams to blow off some steam.
How to order a guy for money?
Male escorts are also popular with socialites and pop stars, bloggers and influencers. They use the resources of our men to maintain their image, to remove questions, or vice versa – for hype. After all, the appearance in the frame of a man is always accompanied by increased attention. Especially when a man is … like that.
Zhigalo Moscow looks like a real movie star.He is well-groomed, handsome, has a pumped-up body, his look and whole appearance convey brutality and self-confidence. One look at him causes fever in all the women in the area. How can you miss such a miracle with your attention?
Nothing.
This is why our call guys are so popular in different social media.
“If it hadn’t been for a guy for the night, I wouldn’t have saved my marriage!”
This is a real phrase from one of our clients. She applied for a Moscow gigolo to relieve the tension that had been building up in her for many years.Fatigue, resentment against her husband, his inattention to her, endless life and lack of romantic joys. One day she freaked out and ordered a guy. And it turned her whole life upside down.
What happened? Yes, she got pleasure, according to her words “pure buzz”. And yes, she forgot for a while and was distracted from worries. By the way, yes, I experienced such physical sensations that I have never experienced. But these are all small things compared to what she felt from herself. She realized that she deserves to be loved, deserves to relax and get high from her man.She is able to give pleasure and be not dull and squeezed, but fiery, passionate and exciting. Just a few hours, and the woman remembered what passion and flirting are, remembered who she really is.
This is the true destiny of call boys.
What about marriage? Everything is fine. Our client was so relaxed and felt such self-confidence that she began to take care of herself, pay less attention to her husband’s “visits”, became prettier and began to radiate love. The husband, apparently, felt that his beautiful wife was slipping between his fingers, and made every effort to change the situation.
This is a real success story of a man on call and his magical action (I would even like to call it “kick”).

Zhigalo Moscow 90,000 Elite gifts for men.For what occasion and what can you give?
All men love special and exclusive gifts that can highlight their position in society and social status. Men love gifts that can distinguish him from the gray mass of society and raise him to a high social status.
The process of choosing and giving a gift can be roughly divided into several steps. First, you need to decide on the date and event, in honor of which holiday this or that gift for a man will be chosen. After establishing the event, you must proceed directly to the choice of the gift itself.
Sociological surveys have shown that most often men receive gifts in honor of birthdays, promotions at work, and anniversaries of family life. Men tend to accept gifts from beloved girls, friends and work colleagues, respondents say.
The most common gifts for all men are considered personal hygiene items, car accessories and basic necessities.
Men give particular preference to gifts with personalized engravings, which emphasize the style and social status in society. All faces of the male plan are happy with various accessories, especially if the name and surname of the owner are beautifully highlighted on them.
Name engraving is a great way to make any gift unique and make a man stand out in the social circle. The engraving is usually applied to ballpoint pens, board games, minibar kits, and many other supplies.
Consider the most common options for men’s gifts:
- Individual sets for fisherman, hunter or traveler. This type of gift is very useful if a man is fond of one of the types of entertainment. A personalized flask on a hunter’s belt or a cool fishing rod with individual engraving will look very nice. And going on a trip with a personalized suitcase is a luxury not available to many.
- Panel on the wall. A classic gift for colleagues and friends. The theme of the panel can be extensive, depending on the occasion and the holiday. The most common type of panel is an image associated with a hobby, a man’s professional activity, combined with a catchy and capacious name in the form of engraving.
- Special set for alcoholic beverages with engraving. Such a gift will be appreciated by gourmets of strong and expensive alcoholic beverages who have their own bar at home or at work. An individual oak wooden counter is an excellent interior decoration for a man’s office.
- Pen or other writing utensils. Ideal for a man who holds a high position or runs his own business. It is considered the most relevant gift from colleagues. Very often men receive personalized pens, notebooks, calendars and organizers.
- Board games. A gift in the form of original chess or backgammon will perfectly fit into the interior of a man’s office or house, emphasize his high intellectuality and the seriousness of his position in society.
- Personalized car accessories. The range of gifts in this category is very large and can start from the original name sticker to the musical design of the car, taking into account the owner’s preferences.
When choosing a gift for a man, you need to know what he enjoys and how he spends his free time. This knowledge will greatly facilitate the choice for a man and will help to choose the right and original gift. It is equally important to pack the purchased gift in an original way, sometimes a beautifully designed box is much more important than the content inside.
When decorating a gift for a man, do not use bright colors. A gift should emphasize severity and seriousness, it is better that the packaging is monochromatic and emphasizes simplicity and originality, the presence of a festive bow is not necessary. It is allowed to design packaging with a note with wishes addressed to the man.
Choosing an original gift for a man – think over the step of how to give it to the rightful owner in an original way.Correct congratulations of a man, the key to the success of calling positive emotions. Choose a gift on our website, here you can also design an original engraving of completely different topics and apply it to a gift.

How to recognize a rich man
Elite dating sites have pitfalls not only for men who can run into a dishonest lady or a swindler.Wives can also be deceived. How to understand whose profiles are real and who is looking for easy sex. It is worth paying attention to men who are over 30, because young rich people are not a frequent occurrence and, as a rule, they are interested in sex for one night, and not in long-term relationships with maintenance or further family building. Chat with a businessman, communication manners will immediately betray deception.
Also pay attention to the photographs on display. Check out all the photos, take a closer look at the quality of clothes, watches, apartments.Wealthy men always look well-groomed and beautiful. But you shouldn’t take just one photo in an expensive car or house. Such photos can be taken in any salon or studio. Pay attention to the following details:
- quality – the rich do not skimp on ordering services from a professional photographer, so you should be careful with low image quality;
- Relaxation – Some people try to declare high condition through a richly furnished backdrop.If it is false, then it will become noticeable;
- branded clothing – a wealthy person may try to seem a modest guy, but he will not wear bad clothes;
- well-groomed appearance – rich people pay significant attention to their health and appearance. Their hair and beard are always neatly trimmed and their hands well groomed.

The sphere of elite dating is quite developed and it is quite easy to get acquainted for a relationship. Here it is necessary to make an amendment that most often the word “elite” is more inherent in girls, since successful men do not use such words.Everything that is elite and vip for ordinary people is common for wealthy people, including dating.
Where to meet the elite
Firstly, you can try to sit out your time in expensive restaurants, clubs, go to exhibitions in the hope that you will be able to hook someone.
Secondly, you can contact a dating agency. Chances are that someone will be found, but most agencies will charge good money for their services.
Third, dating sites for rich men like ours. Here you can meet an elite man at no cost and without leaving your home. All our men pay money to communicate on the site. Therefore, everyone is serious, and these are exactly the men who are interesting to you.

If you liked each other, then the relationship immediately began. If not, then a couple more meetings and you are already a companion of a wealthy man whom you consider to be the elite.
How to deal with the elite
The most important thing is to be yourself. Do not wear masks and do not try to appear that you are smarter or more well-read than you really are. If a man likes you the way you are in ordinary life, consider that the elite acquaintance was successful. If you pretended to have one or two first meetings, and then your real self will come out, then it is not a fact that your relationship will continue. Man counted on one thing and gets another .
Remember that rich people are like everyone else. It’s just that their habits and behavior are different. Every day they communicate with the poor and understand how ordinary people live.
How reliable are elite dating
There are many examples when a simple provincial girl met a successful guy in the capital and their relationship grew into a family and children. What to give a man whom you want to really please, surprise, amaze? It is especially difficult to choose a present if the recipient has everything and does not need anything.Unusual gifts, valuable, those that are called elite, will come to the rescue. But how to choose such a present? We will show you what elite gifts for men are. And also how to choose them to create the right impression and maintain a pleasant holiday mood. What are elite giftsThe selection of gifts in modern stores is simply huge and sellers rush to call every second trinket elite and exclusive. But you shouldn’t believe these marketing gimmicks. If you want to find something really prestigious and unusual, try to trust only professionals and yourself. Different things can be elite. Most often these are:
There are other things that can be called elite gifts. It can be almost any product, but unusual, made of precious materials, antique, hand-made, existing in a single copy. Usually we are looking for elite gifts for wealthy people who have everything they need and even much more. It is difficult to surprise them with something and it is not easy to please them. Therefore, you should follow some rules when choosing a surprise:
Do not think that elite and expensive are the same thing.Things that are widely advertised or made of valuable materials, even not of very high quality, can have a high cost. But at the same time, it will not be easy to call them elite. And really elite gifts may well be in the middle price category. To please a person with your gift, you need to decide in advance on unsuccessful ideas. Do not give too large and impractical items. A huge statue can be expensive and completely fit the definition of an elite statue, but it will take up a lot of space and annoy its owner. Also, don’t give very personal items if you don’t have a very close relationship with the person. Elite business giftsVery often we choose luxury gifts for our business partners. Such things help to increase your status in the eyes of a friend and improve relationships, which will have a positive effect on the further development of the business. A gift to a partner should hint at his merits, talents and high potential. You can also express your good attitude towards the recipient with the help of a presentation. It is good if the gift will be useful in professional activities. Very expensive elite gifts can be given to partners with the same status. Otherwise, it can look like bribery, especially if you really need something from a person or a handout and a desire to stand out with your generosity if your partner’s income is much lower. Good Luxury Gift Ideas for Business Partners:
If you are worried that someone else might give the same gift, discuss your ideas with other potential donors well in advance. Elite souvenirs as a giftA souvenir is an object whose purpose is to remind of the donor or pleasant moments in life. These can be things that are only in a certain city and will remind of it, or just something interesting, even without practical use.Good ideas:
To make this memorable souvenir evoke even more emotions, be sure to supplement it with a postcard. It should be stylish and have a laconic design.Bright drawings do not go well with luxury gifts. Useful valuable giftsIt is difficult to choose a good gift for a practical person. He is unlikely to be pleased with a useless souvenir, even a very expensive one. Therefore, you should look for something not just elite, but also able to benefit the recipient. There are many such things. Top Ideas:
Such things will not only surprise a man, but will also benefit him in the future. This is good, because every time the recipient picks up your gift, the recipient will remember you. A good and useful gift will be a certificate for sewing clothes or shoes with a choice of valuable materials for making your order. So a man will receive a gift that will definitely suit him, and at the same time will be considered elite and interesting. Elite accessories as a giftThis chic accessory will be a great gift for most men. One of the most popular and demanded ideas is watches. Choosing a wrist chronometer from a well-known manufacturer, you will definitely not go wrong. You can choose something in the classic style or original – futuristic, with wooden details, precious stones and other unusual decor. But keep in mind that a good watch is not cheap, and an inexpensive one will not be an elite gift at all, but may disappoint the recipient. Other good ideas for luxury accessories as a gift:
Accessories also include jewelry. A good gift for a not very close man will be classic cufflinks made of valuable material or a tie clip. And if you know the recipient well, you can choose a jewelry design according to his taste, related to his hobby. You can give a bracelet or pendant to a person with whom you have a close relationship. And a ring will be a good gift to the most beloved and close. A confession can be engraved on the inside of the ring. Original and unusual elite giftsMany wealthy men, having everything they need, love gifts that cheer up, entertain, surprise.Even such fun and informal presentations can be elite. Good ideas:
Also from the unusual gifts, you can note the gift-adventure. He can be elite too. Many people will be delighted to have dinner in the most luxurious restaurant in the city, rest in a good hotel or spa. If possible, arrange a trip for the man to some interesting place. And the extreme lover will be delighted with the opportunity to jump with a parachute or fly an airplane as a pilot.Elite gifts can be useful, interesting, unusual and even unexpected, like an adventure, and will delight any man.
