“StormBreaker delivers an unprecedented capability to pilots in the field,” said Paul Ferraro, vice president of Raytheon Missiles & Defense’s Air Power business. “The weapon gives airmen a significant advantage – the ability to strike maritime or land-based maneuvering targets at range in adverse weather.”

StormBreaker features an innovative multimode seeker that guides the weapon by imaging infrared, millimeter wave radar, and semi-active laser in addition to or with GPS and inertial navigation system guidance.

“The weapon has proven itself in many complex test scenarios, against a variety of targets in extreme environmental conditions, and is now ready to fly,” said Cristy Stagg, StormBreaker program director at Raytheon Missiles & Defense. “With its multimode seeker and datalink, StormBreaker will make adverse weather irrelevant.”

StormBreaker’s small size lets fewer aircraft address the same number of targets compared to larger weapons that require multiple jets. It can also fly more than 40 miles to strike mobile targets, reducing the amount of time that aircrews spend in harm’s way.

Spasskoye-Lutovinovo, currently a state memorial
and a natural reserve museum.

The city of Livny southeast of Orel was founded in 1486 as
a fortress on the southern borders of Russia, but mentions of this settlement were found in the annals
as far back as the XII century.Currently, the city is interesting for the preserved buildings of Sergievsky
monastery (founded in 1592), the current Sergievskaya Orthodox Church XVI
century and many other buildings of the mid-late 19th century.

In the village of Saburovo to the south-west of Oryol there is Saburovskaya
fortress – the ruins of the estate of the Russian commander M.F. Kamensky,
and near the village of Khotynets is the National Park “Orlovskoe Polesie”,
once in which, you can plunge into the unique world of the southern Russian taiga.

The village of Staroe is famous for the famous spring “Holy Spring”,
whose water is considered to be healing.

Tele2, Rostelecom and Ericsson showed 5G capabilities to protect health

Companies presented a service for monitoring the health of visitors and compliance with measures to combat the spread of COVID-19.

On the 5G Tele2 pilot network, Rostelecom’s service was deployed for automatic remote monitoring of the health status of CIPR-2020 participants, which, using machine vision technologies, monitored the temperature, the use of personal protective equipment (masks) of visitors and the observance of social distance.Thermal imagers, surveillance cameras and mobile video terminals were installed for the service. In case of emergency situations, the system automatically sent notifications for taking action. The set of equipment installed at the entrance measured the temperature of visitors 202.7 thousand times during the first two days of the forum.

Ericsson provided commercially available products and solutions for the Ericsson Radio System and Ericsson Cloud Core backbone and radio network to connect the required equipment.The automation of monitoring tasks for monitoring compliance with the requirements for countering the spread of coronavirus infection is an example of the modern technological capabilities of 5G. The advantages of the new generation networks deployed by Rostelecom and Tele2 using Ericsson equipment made it possible to achieve a qualitatively new level of connectivity, high data transfer rates (up to 1 Gbps) and guaranteed service reliability.

Pilot zone of 5G network at TsIPR – is an important step towards creating conditions for the launch of advanced services based on fifth generation networks in Russia.5G technologies will become the basis for the development of the country’s digital economy during the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to the development of 5G, new services will appear for all industries – medicine, industrial production, housing and communal services, energy and public and freight transport.
