Boulder Ridge Day Camp – Join Our Staff
Generally speaking, each summer we hire:
Junior Counselors (Full Time)
Assist Senior Counselors in supervising groups of campers. Participate in all activities. Must be at least 16 years of age. First preference is given to our CIT Program graduates.
Senior Counselors (Full Time)
Supervise groups of campers. Participate in all activities. Must be at least a High School graduate or equivalent.
Program Area Counselors (Full Time)
Staff specializing in one activity area, able to teach groups of campers. PACs are needed for Archery, Arts & Crafts, Mountain Bikes, Nature, Cooking, Lego Workshop, Jewelry Making, Soccer, Basketball & Upper Field. Specific certifications may be required. Must be at least a High School graduate.
Elective Instructors (Part Time)
Staff with extensive experience in a certain area, interested in teaching an advanced program for elective periods only. Examples: Tennis, Yoga, Dance/Cheer, Gymnastics, Science Experiments, Martial Arts, Acting, and many more! Flexible schedule with a minimum time commitment of 2 days per week from 2 – 4 pm. Must be at least a high school graduate with 3 years experience teaching the activity.
Lifeguard/Swim Instructors (Full Time)
LGT/WSI certifications are required for this position. Certification classes are available in June at no cost. Must be at least a High School graduate, preferably working towards a college degree, at least 18 years of age.
Ropes & Climbing Instructors (Full Time)
Lead activities at our High & Low Ropes Courses, Climbing Tower and Zip Lines with an emphasis on safety. Full training will be provided at no cost. Must be 18 years or older.
Substitutes (Full or Part Time)
Each year we hire a limited number of substitutes who are willing to fill in wherever needed. Substitutes can work on a regular schedule or on an on-call basis. Full and Part time opportunities available. Must have experience working with kids in a formal setting (school, day care, etc…) and have graduated high school.
CIT Director, Special Events, Head Counselor, Program Director
These administrative positions are generally filled with returning staff, but sometimes we will look for new applicants to fill these roles. Must be a college graduate or be working towards a college degree, with previous experience in education or summer camps.
Support Staff
Kitchen, housekeeping and maintenance positions are available. Ages 15+.
CITs
Boulder Ridge offers a Counselor In Training program for young adults ages 14 & 15.
