Fill in the Blank questions are graded automatically. Answers are scored based on if student answers match the correct answers you provide. You choose the evaluation method for answers:
- Exact match
- Contains part of the correct answer
- Matches a pattern that you specify
You choose whether or not the answers are case-sensitive.
Partial credit is not currently given on this question type. Also, all answers need to be accurate (exact match) or chosen to match a pattern and be defined accordingly.
Create a Fill in the Blank question
When you create a new test, select the plus sign to open the menu. In an existing test, select the plus sign wherever you want to add a question. Select Add Fill in the Blank question.
You’ll use the same process when you create questions in tests and assignments.
Type your question and add brackets around the answer. You can use the options in the editor to format the text and add formulas, files, images, and links.
Separate multiple correct answers with a semicolon.
Example: One of the primary colors is [red;blue;yellow].
You may also use a regular expression. Only one expression per blank will be recognized. Note that you add brackets around the regular expression and around the answer.

Keep answers for the blanks simple and brief. To avoid difficulties with auto-grading, you can limit answers to one word. One-word answers prevent issues such as extra spaces or word order causing a correct answer to be scored as incorrect.
- Select Contain match from the Response type menu to allow for abbreviations or partial answers. This option counts a student’s answer as correct if it includes the word or words you specify. For example, set up a single answer that contains Franklin so that Benjamin Franklin, Franklin, B Franklin, B. Franklin, and Ben Franklin are all counted as correct answers. Then, you don’t have to list all the acceptable possibilities for the answer Benjamin Franklin.
- Select Match a pattern from the Response type menu and create a regular expression that allows for spelling, spacing, or capitalization variations.

Tampa Bay Lightning blank Dallas Stars to capture elusive Stanley Cup
EDMONTON, Alberta — The Tampa Bay Lightning are the champions of bubble hockey.
Brayden Point scored his playoff-best 14th goal, and the Lightning beat the Dallas Stars 2-0 on Monday to win the Stanley Cup and finish the most unusual NHL postseason in history, staged nearly entirely in quarantine because of the coronavirus pandemic. Nonetheless, the clock’s hitting zeros in an empty arena set off a joyful celebration for a team that endured years of playoff heartbreak and two months in isolation.
“It takes a lot to be in a bubble for 80 days or whatever long it was,” said defenseman Victor Hedman, who won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. “But it’s all worth it now. We’re coming home with the Cup.”
The ultra-talented Lightning, one of the league’s top teams not to win the title the past five years, finally completed the complicated puzzle that is the Stanley Cup playoffs, securing their first championship since 2004. They defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets; the Boston Bruins, the league’s No. 1 team in the regular season; and the New York Islanders before eliminating the Stars in a marathon through two Canadian bubble sites that featured multiple overtimes and plenty of drama.
Goals from Point and Blake Coleman and a 22-save shutout by Andrei Vasilevskiy in Game 6 were enough to power the Lightning past a pesky Stars team that stayed alive with a double-overtime victory on Saturday in Game 5.

“That last period was probably the longest period of my life,” Hedman said just before winning the MVP award. “There’s so many emotions at the same time.”
In 2004, the Lightning won the title with the league on the verge of a labor stoppage, a lockout that wiped out an entire season. The franchise is used to winning with uncertainty hovering around the league.
Questions about next season, though, were put off for a celebration by the Lightning and the NHL. Getting this done was a triumph of sorts, financial woes notwithstanding. The NHL is the first of the four major North American professional sports leagues to crown a champion since the start of the pandemic.
Tampa Bay’s core group closed out the Final with an almost poetic display of what got the Lightning to this point the past several years and months. Their new star in Point scored a power-play goal in the first period with assists from longtime standouts Nikita Kucherov and Hedman, key addition Coleman killed a penalty and scored on an odd-man rush in the second, and Vasilevskiy did his job on a relatively slow night in net.
It was more of a coronation than a challenge, as the dominant Lightning outshot the Stars 29-22 and looked like the powerhouse they’ve been for much of the past decade.
“The beauty of our team is everyone was chipping in,” Point said. “We got tremendous depth. We got contributions from anyone and everyone at different times, and that’s what makes this win so special.”
In the Final, Tampa Bay’s power play was clicking and turned the series around. Point’s goal made it 7-for-16 the past five games to decimate the Stars, who were undone by their lack of discipline and couldn’t get enough “Dobby” magic from goaltender Anton Khudobin.
The Stars ran out of gas after injuries piled up. Rick Bowness, an assistant for Tampa Bay for five years who was part of the team’s 2015 run that fell short in the Final, faces an uncertain future as interim coach.
“I couldn’t ask more from our players,” Bowness said. “So it wasn’t enough to beat that team, so it wasn’t enough. But it’s better than sitting here saying how we could have done this or could have done [that]. We don’t second-guess anything we’ve done.”
The Lightning did to the Stars what Chicago did to them in the 2015 Final, when injuries built up. Tampa Bay had Point and No. 2 center Anthony Cirelli playing hurt this time, didn’t have injured captain Steven Stamkos for almost all of the playoffs — and still survived.
“These last six weeks have been really emotional for my family and I, not only on the ice but off the ice,” said Stamkos, who played just 2 minutes, 37 seconds in the playoffs but scored a goal in Game 3. “I just want to say to my family: I love you guys so much. To all the friends and everyone who supported us along the way: We love you. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.”
The painful playoff losses look like mile markers now — losing three consecutive games to Chicago after going up 2-1, blowing 3-2 series leads in the Eastern Conference finals in 2016 and 2018 and last season’s jaw-dropping, first-round sweep by Columbus after the Lightning tied the NHL single-season wins record and won the Presidents’ Trophy.
Coach Jon Cooper thought the attitude needed to change from wanting to beat every opponent 9-0 because that’s not realistic in playoff hockey. His team went 12-3 in one-goal games this postseason, and he said the Lightning won because they were strengthened by years of “heartbreak.”
“To come back year after year and take our swings and take our licks and be talked about here as the kids who are going to be here every year — and now we’re talked about as the team who can’t get it done — and you know what? We got it done,” Cooper said. “And it wasn’t without failures along the way.”
Commissioner Gary Bettman was on hand to present the Lightning with the Stanley Cup exactly 200 days after his dismal if hopeful announcement that the season would be put on pause with 189 games left.
The league and the players’ union worked for nearly four months to iron out where, how and when to play so that 2020 wouldn’t join 1919 and 2004 as a year when the Cup wasn’t awarded. The plan they came up with was unusual. Like the NBA’s, it called for walling off teams from the public for months on end. Unlike the NBA’s plan, it called for doing so in two spots, Toronto and Edmonton, while the U.S. grappled with spiking coronavirus cases in too many places for NHL leadership to feel comfortable.
It worked. After more than 31,000 tests, there were zero positive coronavirus cases reported among players, coaches and staff inside the bubbles and just a handful among hotel, arena or restaurant employees. There was nothing close to an outbreak.
Bizarre as it was with no fans and manufactured crowd noise and light shows, the hockey was often top-notch. The expanded, 24-team postseason meant there was hockey nearly every day, sometimes from midday until past midnight, including a five-overtime marathon that was the second-longest game in modern hockey history. In this unprecedented postseason, there were two elimination games on the same day in the same arena.
By the conference finals, Rogers Place, a nearby JW Marriott and the rest of a heavily fenced bubble in downtown Edmonton had become the center of hockey for fans thousands of miles away, with Dallas and Tampa Bay, two of the southernmost teams in the league, settling the Cup in the NHL’s northernmost arena.
In all, the NHL played 130 games in a bubble, 25 of them into overtime, before the final horn set off a celebration by Tampa Bay that had to suffice with no fans in the stands and few loved ones on the ice to share the moment. Players embraced one another and took out their phones to call and video chat with those who couldn’t be there.
“We were in the bubble for this many days away from our friends and family, our support systems,” Stamkos said. “We love each and every person that has helped us and allowed us to come here and accomplish our dream.”

Can I Leave Blanks on a Voting Ballot?
Voters often don’t feel sufficiently informed about a candidate, a race, or a referendum issue, and would rather leave those portions of a ballot empty instead of casting an uninformed vote.

There are other reasons why people sometimes leave ballots partially blank. The 2016 presidential election featured two of the least popular leading candidates the United States has ever seen. Many voters left the presidential ballot blank as a “protest vote,” a practice sometimes called undervoting. About 1.7 million people left the presidential election portion of their ballots blank in 2016.
But many caution against doing that as well, for the primary reason that whoever is elected president will appoint Supreme Court justices and push federal legislation that you might not like. In fact, after his electoral college win in 2016, Donald Trump went out of his way to point out how important non-voters were to his success. A handful of states were turned his way by these undervotes.
Also, if you wish to cast a protest vote, don’t do so by defacing the ballot or by filling in a portion of it incorrectly. It likely will be classified as a spoiled ballot and won’t be counted at all. And when a close race results in a recount, many states examine ballots closely to determine the voter’s intent. Don’t partially mark a ballot you don’t mean to mark in full.

Forgive your mind this minor annoyance because it has worked to save your life—or more accurately, the lives of your ancestors. Most likely you have not needed to worry whether the rustling in the underbrush is a rabbit or a leopard, or had to identify the best escape route on a walk by the lake, or to wonder whether the funny pattern in the grass is a snake or dead branch. Yet these were life-or-death decisions to our ancestors. Optimal moment-to-moment readiness requires a brain that is working constantly, an effort that takes a great deal of energy. (To put this in context, the modern human brain is only 2 percent of our body weight, but it uses 20 percent of our resting energy.) Such an energy-hungry brain, one that is constantly seeking clues, connections and mechanisms, is only possible with a mammalian metabolism tuned to a constant high rate.
Constant thinking is what propelled us from being a favorite food on the savanna—and a species that nearly went extinct—to becoming the most accomplished life-form on this planet. Even in the modern world, our mind always churns to find hazards and opportunities in the data we derive from our surroundings, somewhat like a search engine server. What is the danger here? The opportunity?

Rules for leaving the Russian Federation

Azerbaijan
Entry into Azerbaijan is permitted:
- citizens of Azerbaijan and persons permanently residing in the territory of Azerbaijan;
90,720 employees of diplomatic missions and consulates in Azerbaijan and their family members;
90,720 close relatives – spouses, parents or children, citizens of Azerbaijan upon presentation of documents confirming relationship;
90,720 citizens who have a work permit in Azerbaijan or a special permit issued by the Government of Azerbaijan;
In addition to the above categories of persons, from June 10, 2021, citizens of Russia and Turkey are allowed to enter Azerbaijan, provided:
- for persons over 18 years of age, a certificate (passport) of completing a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 or a medical document on recovery from COVID-19, as well as a medical document confirming that a PCR test for Negative COVID-19;
- for citizens aged 1 to 18 years, the presence of a medical document confirming that a PCR test for COVID-19 with a negative result was carried out within no more than 72 hours before departure.
Children under 1 year of age do not need to present a vaccination certificate or passport and a PCR test for COVID-19.
All passengers must have a medical document confirming that they have carried out a PCR test for COVID-19 with a negative result within 72 hours before departure. The document must be on paper and contain a QR code. Passengers with a negative PCR test result for COVID-19 without a QR code on it, in accordance with existing requirements, undergo a long-term check at border control upon arrival.

Armenia
- Document with negative results of a PCR test for COVID-19, made no more than 72 hours before entering the country.
- It is also possible to take a PCR test for COVID-19 upon arrival in the territory of Armenia, while waiting for the test results, you must be in self-isolation.

Republic of Belarus
To enter Belarus, citizens of the Russian Federation need a document with a negative PCR test for COVID-19 in Russian or English, made no more than 72 hours before entering the country.
Citizens of the EAEU member states (Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation) entering Belarus from the territory of the EAEU countries must present a negative laboratory test result for COVID-19 infection through the mobile application “Traveling without COVID-19”.
Children under 6 years old, as well as citizens with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate, are exempt from the PCR test for COVID-19.
The COVID-19 vaccination course must be completed within 1 to 12 months before the date of arrival in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.The vaccination document must indicate the last name, first name, patronymic (if any) of the citizen, the date of the end of the vaccination course (in Belarusian or Russian and (or) English).
If you have a document confirming a 24-hour transit through the territory of Belarus, a PCR test is not needed.
For citizens of the Republic of Belarus and persons permanently residing in Belarus, there are no restrictions on entering the country. They also don’t need a PCR test for COVID-19.

Greece
To enter Greece, citizens of the Russian Federation need a document with a negative PCR test for COVID-19, made no more than 72 hours before entering the country. The document must be in English with the name and passport number of the passenger. Children under 5 years old and passengers who presented a vaccination certificate in English, provided that more than 14 days have passed after the second dose of vaccine, are exempt from the PCR test for COVID-19.
After arrival, self-isolation must be observed for 7 days. Self-isolation is not required for passengers who present 2 documents: a document with a negative PCR test for COVID-19 and a vaccination certificate.
Not later than 24 hours before arrival in Greece, it is required to fill in the PLF – passenger locator form. After completing the online form, the passenger will receive a QR code, which will need to be presented to the carrier and other persons authorized to carry out the relevant checks, including at the time of check-in and boarding. One PLF is allowed for the whole family.

Cyprus
To enter Cyprus from Russia you need:
- document with a negative PCR test for COVID-19, made no more than 72 hours before departure to the country. The document must be in English.
The following are exempted from the mandatory presentation of a PCR test for COVID-19 when flying to Cyprus:
– children under 12 years old;
– Cypriot citizens and persons permanently residing in the territory of Cyprus, as well as members of their families;
– passengers who have presented a certificate in English about vaccination with Sputnik V, Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson, Sinopharm vaccines.
Upon arrival in Cyprus, passengers must pass a second PCR test for COVID-19, which is carried out at their expense. - Cyprus Flight Pass, issued on the web platform within 24 hours prior to departure.
In the event that the web platform is temporarily unavailable due to technical problems or scheduled maintenance, you must manually fill out and have a passenger search form with you.

Details of entry into Cyprus
United Arab Emirates
Entry of Russian citizens to the UAE is possible without a visa for up to 90 days.
Passengers traveling to Dubai from the Russian Federation are required to provide the carrier and other persons authorized to carry out the relevant checks, including at the time of check-in and boarding the following documents:
- medical document confirming a PCR test for COVID-19 with a negative result within no more than 72 hours before departure to the country.The document must be on paper in English or Arabic. Documents in Russian or in electronic form are not accepted, and the results of tests performed by other methods, including antibody tests and tests performed using home testing kits, are not accepted. Children under 12 years old and passengers with moderate to severe disabilities are exempt from the PCR test for COVID-19;
90,720 medical insurance for the entire period of stay in the UAE, covering the cost of treatment for coronavirus infection and self-isolation in the conditions of the observatory upon receiving a positive test for COVID-19.
Passengers without such documents are not allowed on the flight.
Upon arrival in the UAE, passengers need to:
- pass a repeated PCR test for COVID-19, except for the disabled and children under 12 years of age. Before receiving the test results, it is necessary to ensure self-isolation at your own expense in the hotel or at the place of temporary residence;
- Install COVID19 Mobile App – DXB Smart App for iOS or Android.
Passengers holding a resident visa must verify that they have been granted an entry permit.

Turkey
Entry of citizens of the Russian Federation to Turkey is possible without a visa for up to 60 days, while the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation must be valid for at least 120 days from the date of entry into the territory of the Republic of Turkey.
Before the flight, but not earlier than 72 hours before the flight, it is necessary to fill in the “Application for entry to Turkey” in electronic form on the register website.health.gov.tr. The questionnaire can be presented in printed form or from the screen of a mobile device.
Passengers over 6 years old need one of the following documents to enter Turkey:
- Document with negative results of a PCR test for COVID-19, made no more than 72 hours before departure. Submission on paper or in electronic form in any language is allowed.
- Document with negative results of antigen (Ag) rapid test for COVID-19, made no more than 48 hours before departure.Submission on paper or in electronic form in any language is allowed.
- Certificate of vaccination against COVID-19, including Russian vaccines, provided that the full course of vaccination is completed more than 14 days before entering Turkey.
- Document on previous COVID-19 disease in the last 6 months before entering Turkey.
Passengers who have not provided one of the above documents and a completed Application Form are not allowed to take off.
Tajikistan
To enter Tajikistan, citizens of the Russian Federation and Tajikistan need a document with a negative PCR test for COVID-19, made no more than 72 hours before entering the country.The document must be genuine. Children under 3 years old are exempt from the PCR test for COVID-19.
Passengers who have not provided a negative PCR test for COVID-19 are not allowed to take off.
Tanzania
By decision of the aviation authorities, regular flights from the Russian Federation to Tanzania and back were suspended.
To enter Tanzania, a medical document confirming the PCR test for COVID-19 is not required.
- Citizens of the Russian Federation can obtain a single entry visa for up to 90 days upon arrival at the Tanzanian airport.The cost of the visa is US $ 50, and payment is also charged for children of all ages. The visa can be paid by credit card.
- In order to obtain a visa, it is important to have a hotel voucher, medical insurance and return flights. Also, an electronic visa can be issued in advance (at least 14 days before departure) on the official website of the Tanzania Immigration Service.
- The passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Tanzania and have at least two blank pages.
Uzbekistan
To enter Uzbekistan, citizens of the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan need a document with a negative PCR test for COVID-19 in Uzbek, English or Russian, made no more than 72 hours before departure to the country. Back to top of page
Cameral tax audit – is an audit of compliance with the legislation on taxes and fees based on the tax declaration and documents that the taxpayer independently submitted to the tax office, as well as documents that the tax authority has.Back to top of page
The procedure for conducting a desk audit is established by Article 88 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation.
A cameral audit begins after the taxpayer has submitted a tax return or calculation to the tax authority. To start the audit, no special decision of the head of the tax authority or the permission of the taxpayer is required.
Notification of the start of a desk audit is not sent to the taxpayer.
Cameral inspection is carried out within 3 months from the date of submission of the declaration to the tax authority.
If errors, discrepancies or inconsistencies in information are revealed during a desk audit, the tax authority informs the taxpayer about this with a request to provide explanations and / or make corrections to the tax return.
In what cases is a request for clarification or amendment of the declaration sent?
If, during a desk audit, a tax inspector found errors, discrepancies or inconsistencies in information, he sends the taxpayer a request to provide explanations and / or amend the tax return (cl.3 tbsp. 88 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation).
Procedure for providing explanations
Explanations to the tax return can be submitted in writing in person, by post or via telecommunication channels using an electronic signature. Clarifications must be submitted within 5 working days from the date of receipt of the request for clarifications (clause 3 of article 88 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation).
Procedure for amending the declaration
During a desk audit, the tax authority has the right to request additional information or documents from the taxpayer in the following cases:
- declared the amount of VAT to be refunded;
- benefits declared;
- reports are presented on taxes related to the use of natural resources;
- declaration for income tax or personal income tax is submitted by a participant in the investment agreement; partnerships.Back to top of page
No violations were detected:
- in-house inspection is automatically terminated. The legislation does not provide for the notification by the tax authority to the taxpayer about the absence of violations and the end of the desk audit.
Violations identified:
- within 10 working days from the moment the office audit is completed, an act of the office audit is drawn up in accordance with Article 100 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation;
- act no later than 5 working days from the date of drawing up is handed over to the taxpayer;
- the taxpayer within 1 month has the right to file objections to the act of a desk audit;
- within 10 working days after the deadline for filing objections, the head of the tax authority is obliged to consider the materials of the audit, the objections of the taxpayer, and make a decision on bringing or refusing to prosecute for committing a tax offense.
The tax authority is obliged to notify the taxpayer of the time and place of examination of the audit materials.
In some cases, the head may decide to extend the period for consideration of audit materials (no more than one month) and to carry out additional tax control measures.
VTB Business Online – VTB Bank
The error is typical only when working in the old design of the VTB Business Online system.
Reason:
ActiveX cryptographic protection component is not installed.
It is necessary to install the ActiveX cryptographic protection module. At the bottom of the VTB Business Online login page, an information panel is displayed with a proposal to install an ActiveX add-on.
To install the component, click on the “Install” button on the information panel and follow the instructions on the screen.
Verify these field values in the displayed information field and in the “Security warning” window that appears.
“Name” – VTB. Cryptographic information protection module – “Publisher” – Step Up, Inc and confirm the installation of the ActiveX component with the “Install” button.
If there is no pop-up window on the registration page, use Instructions for installing / reinstalling ActiveX component (see the “Instructions” section).
If the error persists after installing the ActiveX component, check the following browser settings.
For the correct installation of the component, you must use a local administrator account, use 32-bit Internet Explorer version 11.0 and higher. In the Internet Explorer browser, select “Service”, the “Internet Options” tab, in the settings that appear, select the “Security” tab and reduce the security level for the “Internet” zone to “Medium” or “Low” level. After that, select the “Privacy” tab and uncheck “Block pop-up windows”.
If after the actions taken, the error persists and the component is not installed, you must open the local drive C: \ WINDOWS \ system32, search for the files “mespro.dll “,” mespro.sig “,” mesproax.dll “,” mesproax “and delete them. After deleting the files, you need to refresh the page in 32-bit Internet Explorer version 11.0 or higher and reinstall the ActiveX component again.

Whose data should I provide when registering: parent or child?
When registering in the Personal Account and in the application, it is necessary to indicate the data of the student – the participant of the Olympiad.
Which class should be indicated in the application?
There are two fields in the application for indicating the class: in which the student is studying and for which the student will participate in the Olympiad. Experts recommend specifying the same class of participation as class : the tasks of the inviting school stage correspond to the current program, i.e. the end of the current class.
Example. If you are now studying in the 7th grade and in the fall you intend to participate in the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren for the 8th grade (since you will already transfer to it), in the invitation round you should indicate your current grade, the 7th.
You can also choose a class older (but you can choose only one class: the same as at the All-Russian Olympiad itself). In this case, it is worth assessing your capabilities – try to solve the options of the last year.I can’t register on the site. What to do?

Conduct rules
1. The invitational school stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren (hereinafter referred to as the Olympiad) is held for students of 3-10 grades of the 2019/20 academic year from educational organizations of all constituent entities of the Russian Federation, except for Moscow. Conditions for the participation of schoolchildren from St.Moscow are published on the website vos.olimpiada.ru.
2. The Olympiad is held in 6 subjects within the priorities of the strategy of scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation: mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology and astronomy.
3. The Olympiad will be held from April 20 to May 29 in a distance form in accordance with with its schedule .
4. To participate, you must register for a tour of the chosen general education subject on the Sirius Center website.You can register for several subjects. When registering, the student indicates the class for which he will participate in the Olympiad. It should be no less than the class in which the student is studying. You can register at any time before 13:00 on the day of the start of the tour Moscow time.
5. For each subject and each class, requirements for the tour will be formed, which include the duration of the tour and recommendations for the use of equipment and reference tools. They will be published no later than 3 days before the start of the tour.
6. Each tour starts at at 15:00 Moscow time on the date indicated in the schedule and lasts 2 days (in computer science – 4 days). You can start the tour at any time during this period, from the moment of the start, the passage time will be limited by the duration of the tour.
7. Participants complete the Olympiad tasks individually and independently. The collective performance of Olympiad tasks, the use of outside help (parents, teachers, the Internet, etc.)etc.).
8. Participants of the Olympiad will find out their results (points for problems) no later than 10 calendar days after the end date of the Olympiad round.
9. Appeals on the content and structure of the Olympiad tasks, criteria and methods for assessing their implementation are not accepted and not considered.
10. The final results of the inviting school stage of the Olympiad in each subject (list of winners and prize-winners) are summed up independently for each class and published on the website of the Sirius Educational Center until June 15, 2020 .
