AstroCamp’s Cancellation and Refund Policy
Understanding AstroCamp’s cancellation and refund policy is crucial for families considering enrollment. The policy includes the following key points:
- AstroCamp reserves the right to cancel or modify sessions due to low enrollment or health and safety guidelines.
- If a session is canceled or modified, AstroCamp will attempt to reschedule the camper or offer alternative options, including full refunds.
- Cancellations due to illness or injury before camp require a physician’s letter for a refund (less the non-refundable deposit).
- Non-medical cancellations incur fees based on the cancellation date:
- Before February 1st: $100 processing fee + non-refundable deposit
- February 1st to April 30th: $200 processing fee + non-refundable deposit
- May 1st onwards: Surrender of tuition amounts on a sliding scale
How flexible is AstroCamp’s cancellation policy? While the policy aims to protect the camp’s ability to operate, it also provides options for families facing unforeseen circumstances. The tiered cancellation fee structure allows for some flexibility, especially for early cancellations. However, families should carefully consider their plans before enrolling, as the non-refundable deposit and potential cancellation fees can be substantial.

Stories of Discovery
Year after year, campers return to the AstroCamp summer program and share their stories of how their experience at camp made a positive difference in their lives.
I kept coming back to AstroCamp because of the community building and the friendships I’ve made along the way. It’s one of the few places where I feel at home and I can be the person I want to be. AstroCamp is not a location, it’s the people who work tirelessly to make it all happen, and without the hardworking staff I don’t think I would have attended for almost a decade.
17-year-old camper
AstroCamp provides me a home away from home; it allows me to be my most authentic self surrounded by campers I know and love. AstroCamp is a constant throughout my life – a place I can always hold on to and look forward to throughout the year. At camp, I have made some of my closest friends, explored some of my passions such as ceramics, ax-throwing, and geocaching, and created memories to cherish. The powerful sense of family and community keeps me coming back, and each summer I get to see the same faces of campers and counselors as I have for many years past. I am so grateful to have spent my summers an AstroCamper and will forever hold this special place close to my heart.
16-year-old camper
What I love about AstroCamp is it is a small camp of awesome nerds. It is really inclusive of kids from different backgrounds and different abilities and identities and is a nurturing and welcoming community where we all get to escape and detox from our phones. At AstroCamp I’ve learned a bunch of new things, including ASL, blacksmithing, Dungeons & Dragons, and photography.
