Our Providers – Poulsbo, WA Dermatologist
At West Sound Dermatology we pride ourselves in having an outstanding team. All our physicians and health care providers have extensive training in Dermatology. Their expertise, kindness, and caring provider top quality dermatological care. We feel it is important to clarify how we work with our Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs), as we realize that some patients are reluctant to see non-physician providers. As you may be aware, there is a shortage of dermatologists in our area, and it is difficult to meet the need with MDs alone. We hire only the very best PAs and ARNPs, and between them, they have over 30 years of dermatology experience. In addition, we spend several months in a training phase to ensure we are comfortable with how they practice, and we review their notes. We have an MD on site, and we all share one office and review cases together daily. Similar to MDs, ARNPs and PAs are required to complete annual continuing medical education courses every year. As well, they both must pass a lengthy certification exam after graduation. ARNPs and PAs must maintain their certifications and complete education hours annually. PAs must also pass a certification exam, as well as recertify every 10 years. Drs.Ince and Levisohn would only bring providers to the team they feel comfortable entrusting with the care of the patients. You will be in the best hands with any member of our team!

- Design Office Lab Captain
Research interests
My research centres on socio-technical aspects of engineering design systems and the networks of organisations that both develop and deliver products to market, and support them through life to disposal or reuse. The focus of my personal research lies in the establishment of systematic and, where possible, well-founded underpinnings for such systems, in particular, for the definition of product data. This has led to research on extended enterprise network structures and their alignment with the delivery of business strategy, issues in environmental and social dimensions of sustainable product design, and the establishment of computer aided design systems to support early design activity (when new shapes are being defined) and so enhance designers’ creativity and innovation. My research is positioned within the context of stage gate processes that typify current industry practice. It aims to facilitate improved modes of working through the exploitation of digital technology and to establish design methods and tools to support systematic evaluation of design alternatives at decision gates.
My research activities include publicly funded and industry-led projects with small and large companies, and PhD student projects. The following summarises my areas of interest and selected publicly funded projects.
- Design informatics:
- EPSRC research projects on design and product configuration spaces (2015-2022)

Pillar of Fire read online by Ken Follett (Page 37)
Guillaume spoke up here, for the first time in the entire conversation. He looked frightened.
– Are you going to expose us?
– No, Guillaume. If I had such a desire, I would have come here with a detachment of city guards. – Pierre looked at Gilles Palo. – I want to join you. I want to become a Protestant. And marry Sylvie.
– Please, Dad! Say yes”! The girl knelt down in front of her father. – Pierre loves me, and I love him. We will live happily ever after. And Pierre will help us spread the true doctrine!
Gilles unclenched his fingers, his face regaining its normal color.
– Is that so? He asked shortly.
– So, – Pierre confirmed. – If you accept me.
Gilles looked sideways at his wife. She nodded imperceptibly. Pierre had long suspected that, despite all Gilles’ habits, it was Isabelle who was in command of this family. Gilles smiled – almost unheard of – and turned to Sylvie:
– Okay, daughter. Follow Pierre. God bless your marriage!
Sylvie jumped up, gratefully hugged her father, then kissed Pierre warmly. Then joyous exclamations were heard from the side of the cathedral platform.
“They also approve,” Pierre said, and everyone laughed.
From the window overlooking the square in front of the cathedral, a wedding procession was seen moving along a platform with a canopy. Ahead were soldiers, the so-called Swiss Hundred [Bodyguard detachment, created in 1480 by King Louis the Ninth; consisted of exactly 100 guardsmen, as well as 27 officers and sergeants. First of all, they guarded the monarch on the territory of the Louvre.], in blouses with striped sleeves and helmets with feathers. They were followed by musicians who played flutes and drums, and the musicians were followed by the courtiers, every one in brand new ceremonial attire; my eyes dazzled with a combination of scarlet, gold, light blue, yellow and pale lilac.
– They seem to be trying for you and me, Pierre! – exclaimed Sylvie.
The crowd of onlookers quieted down and bowed their heads in unison when the bishops stepped out onto the platform, holding in their hands jeweled crucifixes and magnificent golden reliquaries with holy relics.Pierre caught a glimpse of Cardinal Charles in a scarlet robe, carrying a gold bowl trimmed with gems.
But the groom appeared. Fourteen-year-old Francis, thin and frail in appearance, looked terrified. Despite countless decorations on his clothes and hat, he did not at all give the impression of a crowned person. Next to him walked King Antoine of Navarre, the head of the Bourbon family, which was at enmity with the de Guise. Pierre realized that someone (Queen Catherine, who must have been prudent) had given Antoine this privilege in order to prevent the de Guise from being over-exalted, who otherwise would have completely subjugated the ceremony.
Onlookers seemed to have gone mad: it was King Henry II who came to the platform, and with him – the hero of the recent war, François de Guise, nicknamed the Bullseye. They accompanied the bride.
Maria put on a dazzling white dress.
– White! Isabelle said, peering over Pierre’s shoulder. The woman’s amazement was understandable: white was considered the color of sorrow. – Why did she wear white?
3
Alison McKay was against a white wedding dress. In France, white was considered the color of grief and mourning.Alison assured that such a dress would scare people away, and Mary Stuart herself would look even paler in it than usual. However, Maria sometimes found stubbornness, and at the age of fifteen she claimed her own opinion, especially regarding outfits. Say, she wants to wear white, everything else is not discussed at all.
The Queen of Scots was right: white silk sparkled as if filled with the light of Mary’s virginity. Over the dress, the bride threw a cape of silvery-blue velvet that shimmered under the April sun, like the surface of a river flowing near a cathedral. The long floor of the cape was heavy, and Alison felt this weight with her hands, for she and another lady-in-waiting had to carry the floor behind the bride.
Maria’s head was adorned with a gold bezel trimmed with diamonds, pearls, rubies and sapphires. From the look of her friend and Mrs. Alison, she guessed that she was impatient to remove this burden from her hair. A large necklace with precious stones hugged the queen’s neck; the biggest ruby was nicknamed “The Great Harry” by Mary, as it was a gift from King Henry.
Red hair, fair skin, white dress – Mary looked like a real angel, and people liked it. She walked along the dais, hand in hand with the king, followed by an enthusiastic roar that rolled through the ranks of the numerous spectators in a kind of tidal wave, gaining strength and power with every step of the young queen.
Alison was completely lost among the discharged and majestic nobility, but she enjoyed what was happening, bathing in the rays of adoration that went to her best friend. For as long as she could remember, she and Maria talked and dreamed of weddings, but the current spectacle left the wildest fantasies far behind. It was thought to be a just retribution of fate for all the misfortunes that befell Mary. Alison was happy for her friend – and for herself.
The Queen approached the canopy, at which the groom was waiting for her.
When the bride and groom stood side by side, it struck everyone that she was a good foot taller; it looked funny, and there were chuckles in the crowd, and mocking shouts were heard. Then the spouses knelt before the Archbishop of Rouen, and the difference in height became less noticeable.
King Henry removed the ring from his own finger and handed it to the archbishop. The ceremony has begun.
Mary answered questions loudly and clearly, but Francis lowered his voice so as not to give the crowd a reason to laugh when the prince stuttered or stammered.
Alison suddenly thought that Maria was wearing white for the first time in their time together. Alison’s parents died of the plague, she was taken to her, in her cold home, by the widowed aunt Janice, the sister of Mary’s mother, Marie de Guise. The orphan was treated kindly and allowed to play with the four-year-old Queen of Scots. A fire burned hot in Mary’s chambers, soft pillows and wonderful toys were scattered everywhere; while playing, Alison forgot that she herself had lost her mother’s care.
Over time, she began to visit Mary more and more often, for she demanded to bring her six-year-old girlfriend over and over again. With Maria, Alison seemed to shake off all the stiffness of Aunt Janice’s house. A year passed, and she was told that Maria was leaving and would now live in France.Alison burst into tears. But Maria, showing how domineering she would be when she grew up, stamped her feet and demanded that Alison go to France with her. In the end, she got her way.
On the ship, during an exhausting voyage, they sat in the same room and huddled together at night in search of consolation; this happened to this day, if one of them needed to calm down or cope with fear. Holding hands, they met dozens of brightly and luxuriously dressed Frenchmen, who laughed at their guttural Scottish accent.Everything in France seemed frighteningly outlandish, and now the older Alison came to Mary’s rescue, helped memorize difficult French words and hone court manners, and consoled when the young queen cried at night. Alison knew that neither of them would forget this childhood affection.
In the meantime, the ceremony ended. The gold ring took its place on Mary’s finger, she and Francis were declared husband and wife, and cheers sounded.
Two royal heralds, holding leather bags with money in their hands, began tossing handfuls of coins into the crowd of onlookers. The audience roared with joy. The men jumped as high as possible, trying to grab the coins on the fly, then dive to the ground, trying to pick up those that could not be caught. Those standing in the back ranks began to press against those in front, wanting their share of the royal bounty. Fights broke out every now and then. Those who fell were trampled, those who remained on their feet were pushed and shoved. The beaten and wounded screamed heart-rendingly.Many noble persons invited to the wedding laughed as they watched the commoners fight for coins. For them, apparently, these skirmishes were dearer to the heart than bullfights, but Alison found the riot of the crowd inappropriate. The heralds threw coins into the crowd until the sacks were empty.
The Archbishop led a procession that went to the cathedral for a solemn mass; he was followed by newlyweds who had just emerged from childhood – and already trapped in a marriage that did not fit any of them.Alison followed Maria, still holding the half of her dress. When the procession entered from the warming April sun under the echoing and gloomy arches of the cathedral, she thought that the royal children were destined to enjoy anything in life – except freedom.

Sylvie held Pierre’s hand as they crossed the Small Bridge heading south. From now on, this young man belonged to her, and only to her. She will never let him go. He is smart, as smart as her father, but much more sweet and charming. And what a handsome man, with those thick hair, dragging eyes and a charming smile! She even liked his outfit, even though she reproached herself for her attraction to bright colors: Protestants did not approve of multicolor and tinsel in clothes.

Most teams have 3-4 matches left before the end of the regular season. In the Eastern Conference, there is a fierce battle for a place in the playoffs between Boston and Carolina. In the Western Conference, five teams are trying to figure out which of them will be the loser this year.
Boston 4-2 Islanders The Bruins defeated an underdog at home. At the same time, the meeting began with a fight: already at 10 seconds, Kairns and Nazarov went to rest. Allison scored a hat-trick in the match. First, he opened the scoring in the first period, and then in the third dvadtsatiminutke brought the hosts ahead, making the score 3: 2.With 21 seconds before the end of the match, Allison hit an empty net. In between the striker’s goals, the Islanders have tied the score twice. In the second period, the balance was established by Cairns, who apparently benefited from the fight, and in the third – by Mezei after Samsonov again brought the hosts ahead. “Boston” is ahead of “Carolina” by a point, but she has a game in stock.
Phoenix – San Jose 3-1
The Coyotes score an important win over one of their opponents to the playoffs in the Western Conference.Hockey players “Phoenix” 34 times threw on goal the guests and three times forced to surrender the goalkeeper “San Jose” Nabokov. True, the last puck flew into an empty net. The account was opened in the first period by Johnson. In the second, Wilson increased the lead for the hosts, but a few seconds before the second break, Ricci converted the majority. The winning point in the match was put by the same Wilson.
Pittsburgh – St. Louis 5: 3
The hosts, as well as the guests, solved the problem of reaching the playoffs, so they could not worry about the final result.Nevertheless, the game turned out to be interesting, especially in the final period. After the second break, the guests were leading 3: 1. The Penguins were the first to succeed – Ferens realized the majority. The assist was chalked up by Mario Lemieux. However, “St. Louis” after two throws by Corso and one by Tkachuk came out ahead. But the third period remained with the owners. 17 seconds after its start, Kovalev reduced the lead, and in the middle of twenty minutes, Jagr established a balance. Lemieux brought the “Pittsburgh” ahead, and the Czech striker, hitting an empty net, put the winning point in this match.
