2019 Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team
2019 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll
SENIOR (2020): Wolf started in all five games for the Buffs, recording four caused turnovers and two draw controls. She was called upon to markup some of the top opponent attackers as the Buffs played a pair of top-25 teams in the first three games of the season, No. 14 Florida and No. 14 Michigan. In CU’s home opener against Harvard (2/21), Wolf led CU with a career-high three caused turnovers, helping the Buffs to their first win of the season. CU would finish the short season 3-2.
JUNIOR (2019): After being a defensive reserve for two seasons, Wolf’s patience paid off as she earned a starting role for the Buffs. Her play helped the Buffs hold their opponents to 10.26 goals per game, which was the 23rd best mark in the NCAA. Wolf recorded 30 ground balls, 13 caused turnovers and 12 draw controls for the Buffs. She tallied a career-best five ground balls twice, once against Stanford (3/8) and again versus Stanford (4/26) in the Pac-12 Tournament Semifinal game. Wolf also stepped into the draw circle for the Buffs on occasion and won a career-best five against Stanford (4/12). Her career-high in caused turnovers was two, which she did four times.
SOPHOMORE (2018): Wolf played in four games during her sophomore season, which included her first career start against No. 6 Florida (5/13) in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. She also saw action in games against Cal and Arizona (twice).
FRESHMAN (2017): Wolf played in one game as a reserve defender. The freshman saw action in the win over Winthrop on March 15.
HIGH SCHOOL: Wolf graduated from Kentucky Country Day School in 2016, where she was a five-year letter winner in lacrosse, field hockey, cross country and track. In lacrosse, she earned All-America, all-state and defender of the year honors. She led her team to the state tournament four times, including championships in 2015 and 2016.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Wolf graduated in May 2020 with a degree in strategic communication. She had an emphasis in advertising and a minor in communication.
PERSONAL: Elinor Ross Wolf was born on Dec. 31, 1997. Her father, John, played football at Murray State and her uncle, Louis Wolf, played football at Kentucky. She enjoys horse racing and her father is well-known in professional horse racing as a breeder. Her family owns a share of Justify, which won the Triple Crown in 2018. Wolf chose CU for the education, location and lacrosse program.

Tribuna/Hockey/Blogs/Steel Wolves/Zhlobin school of lacrosse goals presented itself across the ocean – 17-year-old Loshko’s Michigan-style goal and now plays in the junior summer hockey league. And very successfully: in seven matches he scored 11 goals, of which three were victorious, he was recognized as the player of the week.

Professional box lacrosse team formed in 2021. They are members of the NLL Eastern Conference which plays its matches at the MVP Arena with a capacity of 14,236. Albany FireWolves is owned by a financial group led by former NLL player Oliver Marty.
The team moved from Uncasville, Connecticut, where they were known as the “Black Wolves of New England”. The Black Wolves themselves were the result of a relocation of the Philadelphia Wings franchise. Under the name of the Philadelphia Wings, the franchise became the league champion 6 times (1989, 1990, 1994, 1995, 1998, 2001), after the franchise moved to Albany, all titles also moved there.
The team was officially named “FireWolves” on April 14, 2021 after an online naming competition. The last three names that were considered were “Attack”, “FireWolves” and “Black Arrows”. It was their first season in the NLL, which saw them immediately qualify for the playoffs.
