The 2019 Buick LaCrosse
is one of the hidden gems of the automotive market. Drivers will love the sporty handling and luxurious interior of this American luxury sedan. Buick’s reputation for building reliable cars makes the new LaCross an even more attractive choice. This is ideal for people looking to upgrade to a regular family sedan. Let’s find out if the new LaCrosse is the right choice for you.
What’s new in 2019?
The
Buick has made several updates to the LaCrosse lineup. The new Sport Touring model will intrigue drivers who value style. Meanwhile, the air ionizer has been added to the list of standard equipment for the Avenir model.
Top 8 Reasons to Buy a Buick LaCrosse in 2019 – The Pros
- 1. The incredible value of a luxury sedan.
Buick valued the base LaCross at less than $ 30,000 .This is a great deal for such a versatile vehicle. That’s literally thousands of dollars less than the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Fortunately, you can still enjoy the luxury ride. Some of the notable standard features include automatic xenon headlights, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and 8.0-inch touchscreen.
- 2. The base engine eAssist saves fuel.
The innovative four-cylinder Buick eAssist engine is standard on the new LaCrosse.A mild hybrid setup helps save more fuel. Although the LaCrosse four-cylinder is not a powerful engine, its power output is ,194 horsepower .
- 3. V engine 6 enhances pleasure.
While the base engine will provide the greatest fuel economy, some drivers will not be able to drive without a powerful V6. Buick tuned it to deliver over ,300 horsepower and horsepower and ,382 Nm of torque.LaCrosse, equipped with a V6, accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.8 seconds . Even more beneficial is the V6’s fuel economy. At cruising speed on a highway, fuel consumption averages 7.8 liters per 100 kilometers .
- 4. Handles are great for a luxury sedan.
The handling of this machine may surprise you. While the 2019 Buick LaCross isn’t considered a sports sedan, it seems incredibly nimble. It goes through turns easily, not tilting too much. If you require the best handling, choose the Dynamic Drive package. Active dampers and redesigned tires allow LaCrosse to take tight turns with greater precision.
- 5. One of the most beautiful Buicks .
In the past, Buick became known as a car company that attracted older drivers. However, the 2019 Buick LaCrosse proves that is no longer the case. The curved body lines and low strut make the LaCrosse look great. Many people are likely to be interested in the all-new Sport Touring model. It features a few sporty touches, including a grille and a stylish rear spoiler.
- 6.Teen technology Driver .
All 2019 Buick LaCross versions come standard with Teen Driver. This technology is a stress reliever for parents sharing their car with an adult. You can use the system to limit the vehicle’s top speed and automatically activate aids such as forward collision warning. Teen Driver also generates a report on the driving habits of your adult child, which can be sent directly to your smartphone.
- 7. The IntelliLink infotainment system works well.
Buick’s IntelliLink interface is constantly being improved.Drivers can easily make hands-free calls and listen to music. If you receive a test message, the system can read it aloud. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto make connecting your smartphone a breeze. Some settings also have built-in navigation.
- 8. Additional four-wheel drive.
In bad weather, the optional LaCrosse all-wheel drive system helps you tackle slippery surfaces.Active Dual Clutch maximizes traction by channeling more power to the appropriate wheels. You can also take advantage of LaCrosse’s improved handling on dry asphalt. However, keep in mind that all-wheel drive is only offered with a V6 engine.
Reasons not to buy a 2019 Buick LaCrosse – the cons
- 1. The base engine provides only average power.
The eAssist hybrid engine does a good job of saving fuel. However, it may not be powerful enough for some drivers. While you won’t have a problem climbing steep hills and exiting busy highways, don’t rely on the sedan’s power to satisfy you completely. Drivers who crave performance should opt for the 310bhp V6.
- 2. The Avenir model may be too expensive for you.
Most automotive gurus find the 2019 Buick LaCrosse a great deal. However, the more luxurious Avenir is slightly more expensive. Expect a price of over $ 44,000. On the other hand, you will be surrounded by a number of improvements. Some of the top shelf features include updated leather, massage front seats and a Bose surround sound system.
- 3. Surcharge for certain security features.
While the 2019 Buick LaCross is well equipped, some of the sedan’s safety features will set you back a premium. For example, only the Premium and Avenir trim levels can be equipped with automatic emergency braking. Non-luxury sedans like the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord come standard on this popular safety technology. Adaptive cruise control and pedestrian detection are also limited to upper trims.
- 4. Some security technologies are too sensitive.
Safety Alert vibrating seat available for 2019 Buick LaCrosse.Unfortunately, it tends to react sometimes prematurely. Meanwhile, the sedan’s lane keep assist system does not do the job of smoothly returning drivers to their lane. Some people are likely to keep these security systems off.
- 5. Less trunk space than some competitors.
The typical family will have no problem with the available LaCrosse luggage space. On the other hand, some people will want a little more cargo space. In comparison, the trunk of the 2019 Chevrolet Impala has an impressive ,532 liters liters.
Competitors
When purchasing a large sedan, you might also consider purchasing a 2019 Chevrolet Impala. While the Impala is roomy and comfortable, the 2019 Buick LaCrosse will provide a more luxurious ride. You can also take advantage of LaCrosse’s eAssist engine, which provides much better fuel economy. The 2019 Nissan Maxima is another car worth seeing. While the Maxima is sportier than the Buick LaCrosse, it doesn’t provide enough legroom for backseat passengers. Comparing the LaCrosse to the new Toyota Avalon, you will notice the higher price tag of the Avalon. Its starting MSRP is almost $ 6,000 more expensive than .
Output
The 2019 Buick LaCrosse
is a valuable vehicle that you won’t regret. It matches luxury sedans, which are much more expensive. While the base eAssist engine is smooth and efficient, the choice of the V6 engine makes the 2019 Buick LaCross a more exciting vehicle to drive. If you want safety technologies like automatic braking and adaptive cruise control, they are only available in the more expensive LaCrosse trims.

Buick is considered a major automaker in the US market, but also a division of the auto giant General Motors. And this company is located in the village of Flint (in the immediate vicinity of Detroit).
Back in 1902, the company was created by designer David Buick. It is worth noting that the money for this process was received by David from the sale of an enterprise belonging to him earlier (we are talking about one hundred thousand dollars).
By the way, the specialists of the newly created company managed to assemble the first original car already in 1903. And in 1904, the model “B” appeared on sale, which immediately stood out due to its unusual layout (more precisely, the location of the engine directly under the front seat).
Unfortunately, Buick decided to “take in” J. Whiting, as well as W. Durant (took advantage of their finances).
This was the beginning of his end as a business owner. After all, Buick was just an excellent designer, but he did not know how to manage. So in just five years, he gradually lost all the influence in his hands and in 1908 moved to the board of directors (that is, literally let go of the company).
By the way, Buick was one of the first significant acquisitions of the General Motors concern. At the same time, the company was not deprived of a certain administrative independence.
This decision was probably influenced by the bold and effective actions of David Buick, who proposed successful design solutions and, as a result, contributed to stable sales growth.
Indeed, in 1908 the company was able to sell more than eight thousand manufactured cars. In addition, in the same year, the lineup expanded due to the tenth model, which also became popular among car connoisseurs.
The company kept up with technological progress. In particular, in 1914, the first model was released, which specialists equipped with a six-cylinder engine. And by 1931, under the hood of every car of this concern was a V8 engine.
It should be noted that the Buick models were not inferior to the products of the Chevrolet and Pontiac concerns. In fact, in the United States at that time, they were considered real style icons.
By the way, the transition to six-cylinder engines was smooth and began in 1925.In particular, we are talking about the model “25”, which enjoyed stable popularity (made on the basis of the Standart Six chassis).
In the period 1931-36, specialists updated the model line, adding several promising families. We are talking about:
- Special;
- Limited;
- Century;
- Roadmaster.
In particular, Buick specialists made high-quality sports cars, and among them the 66S, which appeared in 1934, stands out (by “S” means “Sport”). The public paid attention to this car because of the powerful 100-horsepower V8 engine and, moreover, independent suspension.
In 1939, the company prepared the flagship model Buick 39-L from the Limited series. This is a luxury limousine that stood out in terms of length and prestige from its counterparts.
And the next year, specialists diversified the range of cars by releasing another Super family (received the prefix 50).
After the war, the Buicks looked different. The radiator lining has changed, and the side trim has been simplified. In addition, the emblem has changed: we are talking about a “bomb in a ring”.
1953 was remembered by the fans of the concern’s cars thanks to the release of the Skylark. And the employees of the company decided to “celebrate” their anniversary (we are talking about the fiftieth anniversary) by developing other 164-horsepower V8 engines (prepared for the Super series), as well as 188-horsepower units specially for the Roadmaster series cars.
Between 1954 and 1961, Buick specialists completely renew the model range.
At that time, a special place belonged to the Special models, which received compact and weak engines. True, in terms of size, they were equal to members of other families.
Since 1979, another Skylark family has been added to the model range of the concern (these were compact cars). A couple of years later, the Skyhawk and Century models enriched the market.
1984 – The time of the successful demonstration of the Riviera Coupe (Park Avenue). And in 1997, the development of the Century model (more precisely, the new generation) was completed.
It’s worth noting that Buick’s specialization has changed since 2001. Then the company mainly produced full-size mid-range models, which were equipped with front-wheel drive. They were prepared for consumers in the American market.
Not Shumakov alone. We tell you who else scored lacrosse goals in Russia
Similar goals have happened not only in the KHL, but also in the MHL and in the Major Hockey League.
Sergey Shumakov should definitely be thanked for his persistence. He already tried to score from behind the gate in the match with Moscow “Dynamo”. It didn’t work out – Ivan Bocharov and Mikhail Grigoriev played competently. But Sergei did not give up his attempts, in the game with “Cupid” he still achieved his goal. On the 36th minute, with the score 5: 1, the striker drove outside the gates of Evgeny Alikin, who three minutes before had changed his namesake Kiselev just after Shumakov’s goal. The Vanguard striker made a double in that game. So, in itself Sergey’s trip outside the Alikin’s gates should have alerted the defenders of “Cupid”.But they were unprepared for what happened next. What happened is this: Shumakov lifted the puck onto the hook of the stick and elegantly laid it in the nine to the left of Alikin.
After the match, the player commented on this episode: “It’s just that I have already scored more than one goal and I understand that this is also a part of hockey. You can try and score such goals, no one expects this, especially the goalkeeper.” This is the third lacrosse in Shumakov’s biography. The first happened in the 2017/18 season, and then Kunlun suffered from his actions.
And a year later, Sergei began to put these already in the playoffs. The first match of the series with “Vanguard” for “Ak Bars” was unsuccessful anyway – Kazan lost then with a score of 0: 6. And then Shumakov also made fun of the team’s defense and its goalkeeper Alexander Sharychenkov.
Some of you will be surprised, but the first such goal in our league was abandoned for two years, than Marcus Granlund scored his famous goal! It was made by the forward of “Chemist” Sergey Luchinkin. In the match with the HC MVD, held on December 29, 2008 in Balashikha (I wonder why the Yuri Lyapkin Palace attracts such pucks to itself?), Luchinkin drove behind the goal of the site owners and threw the puck into the net from there. The player himself called his trick “the tail of the dragon.” Unfortunately, there were no TV broadcasts from Balashikha at that time, so a video of this goal in normal quality does not exist on the Internet. But there is a photo evidence of this moment.
khl.ru
But Mix Indrashis’s puck, thrown into the gates of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl on January 22, 2013, is much more memorable for us.Then the term “Granlund’s goal” already existed, so commentators immediately called it that way.
In a similar way and at about the same time, the forward of the Prague “Lev” Niklas Danielsson scored. At the beginning of February 2013, this goal was recognized as the best of the game week.
The geography of lacrosse heads includes not only the capital region, Prague and Riga. The spectators of the match “Traktor” – “Ugra” on August 28, 2015 saw almost the same puck.Unfortunately for them, the guests’ forward Pavel Medvedev became its author. The judges conferred for about ten minutes about whether to score this puck. It seemed to them that Paul was playing with a club held high. Fortunately for Ugra fans and neutral spectators, the puck was recognized as legitimate.
However, lacrosse goals in our history have been scored not only in the KHL. Similar goals were thrown in the MHL. An example is Nikita Tertyshny, who is now defending the colors of “Traktor”.Yes, he didn’t manage to raise the puck high, but the goal didn’t get any worse.
Red Army forward Semyon Krasheninnikov scored in a similar way. But his goal turned out to be more correct from a technical point of view.
We conclude our selection with Nikita Pashkov’s puck, which happened in early April 2011, shortly before Granlund’s goal. The eighteen-year-old striker at that time defended the colors of the “Falcon” from the VHL.Just see how beautifully he performed! Who knows, maybe it was from him that Mikael spied this trick?
Maha MH-C9000 charger FAQ (part 2)
I am using CHARGE mode ( CHARGE ). Why is the displayed capacity different from the battery capacity?
The capacity displayed during charging is called “charging capacity”. This is the amount of energy given to the batteries. This value is not the same as the battery capacity, it depends on the residual charge of the battery itself, as well as on its internal resistance. For example, a half-discharged 2000mAh battery may only show a charging capacity of 1000mAh since it is half charged. It is normal that the charging capacity may exceed the capacity of the battery by more than 30%, depending on the brand and charging current. To determine the real capacity of the battery, you need to look at its “discharge capacity”. This information is available in RECOVERY / ANALYSIS, BREAK-IN, DISCHARGE, and CYCLE modes. Note that batteries are not charged after being discharged in DISCHARGE mode.
During charging or discharging, one of the two labels CHARGE or DISCHARGE will be displayed on the screen. The capacity displayed during charging is always the charging capacity. Likewise, the capacity displayed during discharge is the discharge capacity. In CHARGE mode, the total capacity (after DONE appears) is the charging capacity. In RECOVERY / ANALYSIS and BREAK-IN modes, the resulting capacity is the discharge capacity. The batteries will be charged after discharge in these modes. In DISCHARGE mode, the resulting capacity is also the discharge capacity. However, in this case, the batteries will not be charged. In CYLCE mode, the capacity values stored in memory always correspond to the discharge capacity.
An arrow moving under the number of the charging compartment. What does it mean?
At this point in time, information about this charging compartment is displayed on the LCD screen. Information (such as capacity, current, time and voltage) is displayed twice before moving to the next charging compartment. The arrow points to the current compartment.
Is it normal for batteries to get hot while charging?
Yes, batteries heat up by themselves during charging and from the heat generated by the charger. A lower charge level may result in lower battery temperatures, but it is not recommended to lower the charge level below 0.33C or 0.33 of the battery capacity. Using an external fan can also cool the battery.
Operating instructions recommend charging currents. How about discharge currents?
Most NiMH batteries are capable of discharging at 3 times the rate of their capacity. Higher discharge current results in lower capacitance. For accurate capacitance measurement, use the BREAK-IN mode, which complies with IEC standards (0. 2C discharge level).
Is MH – C 9000 compatible with new “low self-discharge” batteries (eg Sanyo Eneloop )?
Yes.Follow the guidelines for charging conventional NiMH batteries.
What is the maximum capacity supported by the charger MH – C 9000?
The maximum supported capacity (BREAK-IN mode) is 20,000mAh, which makes the device compatible with future technologies.
The charger cannot detect my battery. What can be done?
In theory, the charger can identify all batteries. Therefore, if the battery is not identified, it most likely has poor contact with the charger. This may be due to improper installation of the battery or not conforming to IEC standards for dimensions. Try flipping the battery or moving it to a different charging compartment.
Slight noise is emitted from the charger. Is it okay?
The charger may emit a slight high frequency buzzing sound from high frequency pulses and switches.
Why does the charger not immediately show “DONE ( DONE )” when I insert fully charged batteries?
The charger detects whether the battery is fully or not fully charged within a few minutes. It is normal for the charger to try to give a small charge to a fully charged battery.
Advanced Operations
I have multiplied the charging time by the current value. The resulting capacity is not the same as displayed on the screen. Is the charger defective?
No. The charge current displayed on the screen does not include a short rest period (a fraction of a second between every two seconds). Therefore, the actual charge current is about 90% of that displayed on the screen.
Do I need to discharge the battery before starting BREAK – IN ?
Battery discharge before BREAK-IN is optional.Overcharging in BREAK-IN mode will not damage the battery as the charging current is very weak.
Device MH – C 9000 shows the error “ HIGH ” for my batteries, but they charge in other chargers. What can be done?
The MH-C9000 features a high resistance tester that can detect defective or damaged battery. Most consumer chargers on the market do not have this capability and therefore allow recharging of batteries that can no longer be used.Maha recommends that batteries that display the “HIGH” error are disposed of in a safe manner, as charging such batteries may cause overheating or explosion. However, if you think the HIGH error is not the correct result, try charging the battery in a different charger, or discharge it completely in DISCHARGE mode using the MH-C9000. Recommended for advanced users only.
How does MH – C 9000 receive the end of charge signal from the batteries?
The MH-C9000 uses a combination of Negative Delta V, Zero Delta V, Peak Voltage, time and voltage algorithms to determine when charging is complete. In addition to this, its own proprietary algorithms are used.

7 motorcycles that will surprise you with their unusual and original design
Motorcycle lovers know that the arsenal of “iron horses” is much richer than the world of cars. Motorbikes have not only history, but also “character”. The owners are finalizing popular models, turning them into unique pieces.Sometimes motorcycles are not created for use, but are works of techno creativity. We invite you to “look” together at the most exclusive options.
1.Dodge Tomahawk. The motorcycle is similar to the barrel of a pistol: elongated, with jagged edges, rectangular. This “iron horse” is considered one of the fastest in the world.
This motorcycle is an unlicensed version. It was produced by Dodge, but for unknown reasons, it was not certified, so the Tomahawk was not launched into mass production.Detroit, home of the car, is not allowed to drive. Even transporting a bike is prohibited by law.
Dodge can reach speeds of 500 kilometers per hour. This “volatility” can cause rollover, which is why motorcycle wheels are equipped with independent suspension. One hundred kilometers per hour “tomahawk” is gaining in 2.5 seconds.
2.Ryno with one wheel. The unicycle looks impressive. It seems like he stepped off the screen, broadcasting a movie about a progressive future. We can say that Ryno is a wheel.
However, a motorcycle is considered a scooter. The company that gave the world Ryno assures that it is a new machine that minimizes pollution and is economical.
The one-wheeled motorcycle has bypassed the technical characteristics of its Japanese competitors, which have been producing mono-bikes for a long time. Ryno is released in a limited edition. Motorcycles are able to track the balance of the “user”, keeping it in the most unforeseen situations. The wheel automatically moves in space.
Ryno “squeezes” 40 kilometers per hour, which is suitable for city streets. It’s amazing that it charges when plugged into an outlet.
3.SdKfz 2. The motorcycle looks like a tank, only flattened. It has the same color, there is a hatch at the top and caterpillars on wheels.
Such machines have long been put into operation. The caterpillar track helps to move around in difficult terrain, swamps and snowdrifts.
The motorcycle has a high-torque motor. SdKfz 2 cannot be seen on city roads, only in fields and “mud”.It is considered half-track and comes on the market in dosage.
In the new model, the developers took into account the innovations of technical progress, but the structure of the SdKfz 2 remained familiar.
4.Skeleton Bike. The motorcycle was professionally developed by the American company Crypt. The name of the “iron horse” is self-explanatory. He looks like a skeleton riding a motorcycle.
Although there are dozens of ‘bone’ styled cars on the road, the Skeleton surprised bikers. It accurately repeats the anatomical skeleton of a person. The manufacturers have moved the fuel tank to the lower part, and headlights are built into the eye sockets of the skull.
Skeleton includes unique technological units and devices. To create them, it took resort to the latest technology. The bike is lightweight but highly durable.
5. Red Bull Rider. The motorcycle is created in a single copy and represents a red bull, the horns of which “hold” the front wheel, and a pair of legs – the rear. In this case, the body of the “animal” is bent upward – the head bends down, and the back is raised up.
The Iron Horse was created by Red Bull, a company famous for its energy drinks. It is worth noting that designers rarely experiment with motorcycle bodies. “Redbulls” turned out to be daredevils and did not lose.
6. Jaguar. Executed in a single copy. A motorcycle doesn’t need a logo. He looks like a jumping jaguar. The figure follows the design of the corporate badge, which is attached to the hood of Jaguar extra class cars.
Motobike – “cat” with blue eyes and open mouth, menacingly exposing long fangs. To implement the idea, the creators invited an artist.
They shifted the engine to the back to show the predator’s waist more clearly.
200 kilometers per hour “Jaguar” is gaining in 10 seconds. It is almost silent thanks to the latest electronics. They spent 500,000 thousand dollars on the development of the concept of the motorcycle.
7.MTT Y2K. The most dangerous motorcycle on earth – this is the opinion of the world’s “motorcycle experts”. A machine with smooth shapes, similar to a flying torpedo. The heroes of the film “The Matrix” would not refuse to ride this “iron horse”.His appearance would fit perfectly into a science fiction movie. The
MTT Y2K is listed in the Guinness Book of Records – it is recognized as the most powerful production motorcycle and the most expensive to manufacture. The bike has a built-in engine from Rolls-Royce, capable of running on gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel.
14 seconds is enough for a motorcycle to accelerate to 350 kilometers per hour.

90,000 Lacrosse.Friendly match. Israel – England. Sala Stadium, Ashkelon .: kot_bayun – LiveJournal
On the eve of the upcoming World Lacrosse Championship in Israel in June, the UK national team, European Champion 2016, and a serious team in general, came to our country with exhibition matches. As part of the popularization of this strange sport called “lacrosse”, the teams are scheduled to play 5 games in five different cities.
One of the matches took place on Friday 13 April at the Sala Stadium in Ashkelon.
Arriving at the stadium half an hour before the game is not only time to take pictures of the building itself, but also to get additional benefits in karma and whists for the next two hours.
The stadium in the beautiful city of Ashkelon was built back in 1961 (at least that’s what Wikipedia tells us). And, apparently, in the same authentic state it has survived to this day – with ancient inscriptions on the stone fence, with holes and with rare guards, who obviously did not expect a lot of people on this Friday morning.
Therefore, instead of going straight to the podium, we ended up in the inner room, where, as I understand it, usually people are not allowed to go. A trophy stand with medals, cups and pennants received by the unforgettable Ironi Ashkelon club during its mighty career was seen near the players ‘dressing rooms and the referees’ room. I was especially impressed by the “shit cup” for participation (I emphasize – not for victory, but for participation!) In the 1992 Passover Cup. And for some reason, the pennant of “Dynamo” Minsk hanging between the trophies.
Only one corridor led from the under-stands to the side of the arena – it was a tunnel for players entering the field. On which we went to the field. Moreover, please note that we did not touch the fruit prepared for the participants of today’s competition!
And on the green lawn the players of the Israeli national team were already warming up.
I could have sat down at the table of today’s match, since I already have experience in the work of a match commentator, I could help. But somehow he was ashamed of
Meanwhile, the British also followed us.By the way, for the first time it turned out to shoot athletes coming out of the under-stands tunnel at close range.
There was nothing else to do on the field, although, of course, no one kicked us out, but the guards did not let anyone inside, so, I thought then, if we go out, it will be difficult to go back. But not to sit on the coaches’ benches. And we went to the still empty rostrum.
However, the sun was warming, and opposite under the roof there was a VIP sector for guests and officials. Why not? And the most surprising thing was that it turned out yes – a few guards looked in surprise as we pass through the field through the side gate, but no one came up and asked unnecessary questions. And the VIP sector really turned out to be much more convenient and pleasant.
While we were walking and moving around like that, it’s time to play. Some people pulled themselves up to the stands, and the teams went out into a green meadow. Even the anthems of both countries were played.
The team captains greeted each other, received parting words from the Ashkelon Sports Director (I didn’t know that there were such people), the general director of some strange Ashkelon-Baltimore company and, most importantly, the British Ambassador to Israel David Quarrey.Which, surprisingly, came to the game alone. Without a husband. Yes, yes, I was not mistaken, it was without a husband.
The most interesting thing about lacrosse is the throw-in in midfield. It occurs at the beginning and after each goal scored. The team captains put their nets upright and, by the whistle, try to quickly cover the ball and throw it back with their own. Well, either grab it and run forward with the ball in the net.
The net for the players is small, only for the goalkeeper it is twice as large. It is more convenient to catch a flying ball in a large net, but it is less convenient to throw far away, and in general it is easier to knock a ball out of it.
When you pick up the ball in the net, you can do anything with it – walk and not give it to anyone, try to run to the goal, throw it to your partner, there is only one caveat – you can hold the ball in the net for 20 seconds if you are in your half of the field, or 10 seconds if on someone else’s.
Ours at the beginning somehow resisted, but the British quickly threw first the first ball, and then the second. I don’t know how other teams play, but if Israel took silver at the last European Championship, I could probably have come out as a member of other teams.
Although, of course, to tell the truth, they throw each other and catch the ball with nets they are cool. By the way, one more nuance of the game – although teams play 10 by 10 (including goalkeepers), there can be no more than 6 people of your team in the opponent’s half of the field at the same time. Therefore, on the other side of the gate, which is being attacked, there are always 3 pairs of defenders and attackers, which gives the game a good rhythm.
In the meantime, a bus of 3-4 children was brought to the stands (they brought it up, because it was fun to watch how children enter the sector in batches) and they fiercely supported the Israeli team.
By the way, what surprised me was that at some point eight people sitting on the side stand were driven away by the guards with a filthy broom. Type “not allowed”. As if the guys were bothering someone there or could take apart the stadium piece by piece. So he is not in the best condition, it seems that since the fall on the field in 2008, a Palestinian missile has not yet been cleared of the debris.
And VIPs, including the British ambassador, moved to our rostrum, greeted (it is customary for us, with VIPs) and stood nearby, discussing the game and, perhaps, some other problems (for example, where in Ashkelon you can get good beer? – what else might be of interest to the British! and I would suggest there is a wonderful BeerPoint).
Ours, meanwhile, reduced the score – by the middle of the first quarter it was 1: 2. By the way, about the quarters. The same Wikipedia says that a lacrosse match lasts 4 quarters of 15 minutes of net time. I don’t know, maybe ours played some kind of Jewish lacrosse, but for some reason each quarter lasted 20 minutes. Such a strange thing.
At some point, ours also scored the second goal.
Our two goals by that time meant little – by the equator of the match the score was 2: 8. The game practically went into one wicket.Although, in truth, our people tried to selflessly fight and fight for every centimeter of the field.
But the forces, alas, seemed to be too unequal. even despite the might of some of our players.
And the teams left for the break
During the break, two local youth teams entered the field, bringing a couple of gates with them, and at the edge of the field they made a small fight. Well, yes, also an option.
The grandfather sitting next to us, meanwhile, overcame. Well, yes, this is not rugby for you. At the games of the local football team, I think it’s also good here to sleep in an easy chair like this.
In the meantime, the break was over, the guys dragged the gate, and the second half began.
And then something strange happened. Either the old man Hottabych appeared on the podium somewhere, or the British released the third squad, or (which is most likely) representatives of our team approached the guests during the break and explained that if this continued, they would not come to the World Cup games no one. Well, yes, what for to watch as ours fly with a score of 1:20 to everyone. In short, as a result, the balls flew into the gates of the British, and the score began to decline sharply.
At first the score became 3: 8, then four, then five …
The British pretended to resist, but the score continued to decline – six … seven …
And, despite the fierce resistance of the opponent, ours evened the score – 8: 8! It was the middle of the last quarter.
While the tension hasn’t subsided, I’ll tell you about another amazing feature of lacrosse. At the moment of violation of the rules (or removal, I did not understand for sure) the referee not only blows his whistle, but also takes out an orange rag from his pocket and throws it up.She falls to the ground, and he goes to explain to the players what happened. Then he returns, picks up the rag, puts it in his pocket, and the game continues.
If at some point one of the teams decides to take a time-out, the referee no longer throws a rag onto the field, but his own cap. After that, everyone leaves the field to talk and drink, but they clearly know where to return and where to put the ball.
In short, while the point is, the British came to their senses and threw in the ninth goal, as if saying to the Israeli players: “Well, you can’t be so skittish.”
Our team gathered and responded with an excellent effective attack. 9: 9.
Our coach in a panama hat a la “cova tembel” gathered the players and did what he hadn’t done in the whole game – he talked to them about something. This was apparently new to him, but he managed to do it!
And now a throw-in in the center of the field
And, having pressed the hosts to the goal, the British score the winning goal a minute before the end of the match.
Perhaps the result is quite logical.
This score remains until the final whistle of the referee. Deserved victory of the guests.
On which, in fact, everyone went home. Until next time, dear comrades!
Shumakov’s transfer to Avtomobilist and Mitchell’s conflict with Severstal. KHL Week Results
Ushenins left “Amur”, crisis in “Avtomobilist”. Digest of the next week in the KHL.
Thanks to Stories Razin, we learned more about the work of agents
Severstal Cherepovets decided to remove ex-Neftekhimik striker Zach Mitchell from the list of refusals. The usual story suddenly turned into a conflict between the player’s agent Alyosha Pilko and the head coach Andrei Razin. The player refused to go to the club and sign a new contract. Razin accused the hockey player’s side of wanting to knock more money out of Cherepovets. Pilko caustically wrote that the coach of “steelworkers” does not understand the documentation and that the matter is in obtaining a visa for the right to work. The answer is instant: other people played with the current set of documents. Of course, nothing will end there, even if the coach’s stories cease to be the main media of the season. The league must sort out the situation. It looks like the agent and the hockey player are really trying to cash in on the club and bypass the system. It is unacceptable.
In the end, Zak never made it to Cherepovets. We are waiting for the development of events.

“Cupid” has parted with legends
Perhaps it will be loud to call the Ushenins brothers that way, but these two are strongly associated with hockey Khabarovsk, which has shrunk on the KHL map to a tiny point – you must admit that before “Cupid” was watched more and talked more often …But now there is almost nothing to talk about. Somehow everything died out. So the time has come for the two favorites of the audience to change the club. In 48 hours no one took them from the waver. I must admit that they have a weak season – Vladislav has 2 + 0 for 29 games, Vyacheslav has 1 + 6 for the same amount. These players are capable of 20-25 points for the regular season, which is about how much they have scored in Khabarovsk since the 15/16 season.
Metsola denies Bobrov’s goal of the Jokers
Shumakov decided to exchange for Yekaterinburg.“Vanguard” lost in exchange
The club did not wait until the skilled striker survives his decline in the game, and the hockey player himself realized that it was time to change the situation. Now the most famous number 69 of the KHL will help Avtomobilist get out of the skid. The author of “SE” Alexei Shevchenko writes that Sergei decided to leave because of the conflict with Bob Hartley – they say, the head coach ruined relations with the player and practically spread rot. This is not a theorem, it cannot be verified right away, but it is clear that with Hartley, player creativity and creativity are not the most important things.Play on assignment and that’s it. Why “pinch” the attackers? Does this always work?
“Vanguard” just strengthened the rival in the conference, that’s all. Freeing up space under the ceiling of salaries is not superfluous, but there is no strict need for this.
Provolnev throws literally from the back of the goalkeeper
Ufa and Yekaterinburg felt a little easier
In one day, “Yulaevtsy” beat “Siberia” (3: 1), and “Avtomobilist” dismantled “Magnitogorsk” (4: 0 away).A month or two ago, no one would have paid attention to this. But the teams found themselves in crisis.
“Salavat” before the match with the team of Nikolay Zavarukhin scored 2 in 4 matches while realizing the majority of 1/16. Four losses in a row. The victory over Novosibirsk in terms of the game pattern did not differ from the games with “Magnitogorsk” (1: 3) and “Jokerit” (0: 3). It is trite, but this time the opponent is not so strict in his zone, the goalkeeper is slower. Used their chances. And since nothing has fundamentally changed, why would the crisis end suddenly?
The foundation of the score 0: 4 was laid by the Magnitogorskians themselves – before the first two goals, Olkinuora’s ugly misunderstanding with the defenders was underlined.Kulikov’s puck – ran away in the minority. Fatality from Golyshev when playing 5 on 3. That is, it is more about efficiency and hard work and analysis in the Europause has not been canceled.
