The Power of Rebounding: A Fun and Effective Fitness Solution
Rebounding, or exercising on a mini-trampoline, has gained popularity as an enjoyable and efficient way to improve overall fitness. James R. White, in his book “Jump for Joy,” boldly claims that “rebounding is the closest thing to the fountain of youth that science has found.” This statement underscores the potential impact of incorporating trampoline exercises into your daily routine.
Trampoline workouts have become increasingly prevalent in sports training and gymnastics due to their low impact on joints. This makes rebounding an excellent option for various athletic activities, including running, jogging, skiing, and even rehabilitation programs.
Key Benefits of Rebounding
- Strengthens the heart
- Improves coordination, balance, and posture
- Builds muscular strength
- Eliminates toxins from the body
- Stimulates metabolism
- Reduces hard impact on joints
- Reduces stress and tension
- Burns calories and fat
- Aids in weight loss
- Enhances the body’s immune system
With such a comprehensive list of benefits, it’s clear why many fitness enthusiasts are turning to rebounding as a fun and effective way to achieve their health goals.
The 10 Minute Rebounder Workout: A Game-Changer for Your Fitness Routine
Can a mere 10 minutes of rebounding truly make a difference in your fitness journey? Recent statistics suggest that 10 minutes on a trampoline can be equivalent to 30 minutes on a treadmill. Moreover, trampoline exercises have 40% less impact on your joints while engaging more muscle groups and improving balance.
A rebounder workout offers a full-body exercise experience, targeting your abdominal, thigh, and leg muscles. It not only tones your body and strengthens your bones but also helps burn extra calories. The beauty of rebounding lies in its versatility – it can help you achieve various fitness goals, from weight loss and cardio improvement to fat reduction.
Why Choose Rebounding Over Traditional Exercises?
Compared to running, jogging, or using a treadmill, rebounding offers a more engaging and enjoyable workout experience. The fun factor associated with bouncing can make your daily exercise routine more interesting and sustainable in the long run.
Rebounding Results: What to Expect and When
How long does it take to see results from rebounding? The answer varies depending on your exercise level and intensity. However, many people report experiencing positive effects soon after starting their rebounding journey, sometimes in less than a month when following an aggressive plan.
For those engaging in moderate-intensity rebounding, results typically become noticeable between 2 weeks to 2 months. This timeline can fluctuate based on individual exercise practices and physical condition. The encouraging aspect of rebounding is that once you start, you’re likely to stick with it due to its low impact nature and the enjoyment derived from jumping.

Calorie Burning Potential of Trampoline Workouts
How many calories can you burn during a trampoline workout? The calorie-burning potential of rebounding depends on several factors, including your current weight, workout duration, and exercise intensity.
On average, during a 10-minute basic, low-intensity trampoline exercise session:
- A 135-pound person can burn approximately 50 calories
- A 150-pound person can burn about 60 calories
To put this into perspective, to lose 1 pound of fat, you need to reduce approximately 3,500 calories. By incorporating regular rebounding sessions into your fitness routine, you can steadily work towards your weight loss goals.
Popular Trampoline Exercises for Beginners
Ready to start your rebounding journey? Here are six popular trampoline exercises that you can incorporate into your workout routine:
- Basic Bounce: Start with gentle bouncing to warm up
- Jogging in Place: Simulate jogging motion while on the trampoline
- Twists: Incorporate upper body twists while bouncing
- Knee Lifts: Alternate lifting knees towards your chest
- Jumping Jacks: Perform traditional jumping jacks on the trampoline
- Seat Drops: Carefully drop to a seated position and bounce back up
You can perform these exercises individually or combine them to create a varied and engaging workout routine. Remember to start with gentle bouncing to warm up and gradually increase the intensity as you become more comfortable with your bounce.
Maximizing Your Rebounder Workout Results
To get the most out of your rebounder workouts, consider the following tips:
- Consistency is key: Aim for regular sessions to see sustained results
- Proper form: Maintain good posture and engage your core throughout the workout
- Progressive overload: Gradually increase the duration and intensity of your sessions
- Variety: Incorporate different exercises to target various muscle groups

- Rest and recovery: Allow your body adequate time to recover between sessions
By following these guidelines, you can enhance the effectiveness of your rebounder workouts and accelerate your progress towards your fitness goals.
Integrating Rebounding into Your Fitness Lifestyle
How can you seamlessly incorporate rebounding into your existing fitness routine? Consider these strategies:
- Use rebounding as a warm-up before your main workout
- Replace one or two cardio sessions per week with rebounding
- Add short rebounding breaks throughout your day to boost energy and productivity
- Combine rebounding with other low-impact exercises for a well-rounded fitness program
- Join a rebounding class or find an online community for motivation and support
By integrating rebounding into your lifestyle, you can enjoy its numerous benefits while keeping your fitness routine fresh and engaging.
The Science Behind Rebounding’s Effectiveness
What makes rebounding such an effective form of exercise? The answer lies in the unique properties of trampoline-based movements:
- Gravitational forces: Rebounding subjects your body to increased G-forces, which can strengthen cells and tissues
- Lymphatic system stimulation: The up-and-down motion helps flush toxins and boost immune function
- Low-impact nature: Rebounding provides cardiovascular benefits without the joint stress associated with high-impact exercises
- Proprioception improvement: The unstable surface enhances balance and spatial awareness
- Vestibular system engagement: Rebounding can improve inner ear function and overall balance
Understanding the science behind rebounding can help you appreciate its value as a comprehensive exercise modality.
Choosing the Right Rebounder for Your Needs
Selecting an appropriate rebounder is crucial for a safe and effective workout experience. Consider these factors when choosing your mini-trampoline:
- Size: Ensure the rebounder fits your available space and accommodates your height and weight
- Weight capacity: Check the manufacturer’s recommended weight limit
- Spring type: Choose between traditional metal springs or bungee cords based on your preferences
- Frame quality: Look for sturdy construction and durable materials
- Mat material: Opt for high-quality, tear-resistant materials
- Stability: Consider models with adjustable legs or non-slip feet for added safety
- Portability: If you plan to move your rebounder, look for foldable or easily disassembled options
Investing in a quality rebounder can enhance your workout experience and ensure long-term enjoyment of this effective exercise method.
Rebounding for Special Populations
Is rebounding suitable for everyone? While generally safe for most individuals, certain populations may need to take extra precautions or modify their approach:
Seniors
Rebounding can be an excellent low-impact exercise for older adults, helping to improve balance and bone density. However, seniors should start with gentle bounces and use a stabilizing bar if necessary.
Pregnant Women
Pregnant women should consult their healthcare provider before starting a rebounding routine. If approved, they should focus on gentle bounces and avoid high-intensity movements, especially in later trimesters.
Individuals with Joint Issues
People with arthritis or other joint conditions may find rebounding more comfortable than high-impact exercises. However, they should start slowly and listen to their bodies, adjusting the intensity as needed.
Children
Rebounding can be a fun way for children to stay active. Ensure proper supervision and use age-appropriate rebounders designed for kids.
Regardless of your demographic, always consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new exercise regimen, including rebounding.
Combining Rebounding with Other Fitness Modalities
How can you enhance your overall fitness routine by incorporating rebounding? Consider these combinations:
- Rebounding and strength training: Use the rebounder for cardio intervals between strength exercises
- Rebounding and yoga: Improve balance and core strength by alternating between rebounding and yoga poses
- Rebounding and HIIT: Incorporate high-intensity rebounding intervals into your HIIT workouts
- Rebounding and Pilates: Enhance core engagement by combining Pilates movements with gentle bouncing
- Rebounding and dance: Create a fun cardio routine by blending dance moves with rebounding
By creatively combining rebounding with other exercise modalities, you can create a well-rounded fitness program that keeps you engaged and motivated.
Tracking Your Rebounding Progress
How can you effectively monitor your progress and stay motivated in your rebounding journey? Consider these tracking methods:
- Keep a workout journal: Record your rebounding sessions, including duration, intensity, and exercises performed
- Use a fitness tracker: Monitor your heart rate, calories burned, and activity levels during rebounding workouts
- Take progress photos: Visually track changes in your body composition over time
- Perform regular fitness assessments: Measure improvements in balance, endurance, and strength
- Set and review goals: Establish short-term and long-term objectives for your rebounding practice
By consistently tracking your progress, you can stay motivated and make informed adjustments to your rebounding routine as needed.
Overcoming Common Rebounding Challenges
While rebounding offers numerous benefits, beginners may face some challenges. Here are solutions to common issues:
Motion Sickness
Start with gentle bounces and short sessions, gradually increasing intensity and duration as your body adapts. Focus on a fixed point in the distance to help maintain balance.
Lack of Coordination
Practice basic bounces until you feel comfortable, then slowly introduce more complex movements. Remember, coordination improves with practice.
Fear of Falling
Use a stability bar or place your rebounder near a wall for support. As your confidence grows, you can transition to freestanding bouncing.
Boredom
Vary your routine by incorporating different exercises, using music, or following along with rebounding workout videos to keep things interesting.
Plateau in Progress
Continuously challenge yourself by increasing workout duration, intensity, or complexity of movements to avoid plateaus.
By addressing these challenges head-on, you can ensure a more enjoyable and sustainable rebounding practice.

6 Popular Trampoline Exercises
Following is a list of six different trampoline exercise ideas. You can do them all together at one time, combine the exercises according to your preference or choose only a couple of them to incorporate into your workout routine.
Points to remember to get the best
rebounder workout results:
- Every time, get started with gentle bouncing to warm up.
- When you are comfortable with your bounce, add a higher knee to increase intensity. Keep your core tight and don’t forget to breathe.
- Take a break for at least 10 seconds between every workout.
- Finish your workout with slow bouncing on the flexible surface of the trampoline.
- Increase the time as you get more advanced.
- Repeat the workouts as many times you wish or according to your ability.
Also while doing the exercises or aerobics on a trampoline remember to –
- Your knees are bent and not locked
- Your feet are width apart
- Your head in line with your spine
- Don’t bend your head forward, backward or to the side
- If you need to turn your head, stop jumping first
- Brace your core and get started
Special Tips for the Beginners on a trampoline:
- Rebounders, or mini trampolines, can be used almost anywhere indoors or outdoors.
- Remember to start slow with small jumps, and make sure you get used to the rebounder before you increase to bigger jumps.
- As beginner your feet may not even leave the surface of the trampoline.
- You can include some traditional exercise such as aerobics, various body movements, dances or jumping jacks to get yourself amused.
- Rebounding is a great low-impact exercise and it’s fun.
- For a simple fat-burning workout, walk in place on the trampoline for 1 minute, lightly bounce for 4 minutes, jog in place for 3 minutes, lightly bounce for 1 minute and walk in place for 1 minute, which adds up to a 10-minute session. Repeat this cycle two more times during the day.
- Choose a rebounder that has a safety rail if you feel off balance or are new to fitness. You can still get an effective workout while holding on to the rail.
- Wear athletic shoes while jumping to provide support for your feet and ankles.
However, while the beginners are advised to start on a mini trampoline with a simple, zero-hop bounce, the hardcore exercisers can easily put themselves through by cycling, tuck jumps, high knees, jumping jacks, 180-degree jumps, and more on a trampoline.
Rebounding For Weight Loss Testimonials
It might be inspiring to look into the rebounding testimonials provided by those who have experienced health benefit from trampolining.
If you are a beginner, you may start with daily 10 minute rebounding workouts. As you get stronger and able to do more – add more time to each section or complete an entire cycle and then repeat the same for a second or third time. Gradually you can increase your time to 30 or 40 minutes and add greater intensity depending on your ability, your health and fitness level.
To get the best results and burn more calories on a trampoline, you will need to increase the intensity by jumping higher, running and jogging in place or engaging your arms. If it does not suit you, take it easy with 10 minute rebounder workout at least once in the morning and repeat the session twice or three times in the evening, at your comfort and convenience, which will still bring positive results to your body and your life, as you may find in the rebounding for weight loss testimonials.
the NASA-approved workout you’ll love in lockdown
It’s why we’re always on the lookout for new ways of working out – such as boxing, barre and skipping. When we heard about the wonderful world of rebounding exercise – or trampoline-based fitness, in simpler terms – it’s safe to say that we were intrigued.
Katy Harrington, Stylist’s digital commissioning editor, fell in love with the workout style during lockdown. “I had been to a few ‘rebounding’ classes in east London (for £15 a hour!) and I thought I could recreate it at home. My dad happened to find a mini-trampoline in his garage, so when I went back to their house to spend lockdown I started using it while recalling some of the old fashioned aerobics moves that I had done in my classes.
“Even though I lack coordination, I found it easy – and a super workout. I became a bit obsessed with Lauren Roxborough and her 12-15 minute workouts. She talks about the benefits to the lymphatic system and how it works wonders for digestion, but regardless of all that, I just got so into it and have done it at least three times a week since.”
Not only is rebounding a low-impact sport which offers a wide range of benefits, it’s also really fun – making it that much easier to convince yourself to get moving. Below, we’ve taken a look at what rebounding exercise really is, and the benefits you can expect from getting involved.
What is rebounding?
Rebounding is a low-impact cardio workout that uses a mini-trampoline. Don’t be mistaken into thinking this exercise is simply a bit of nostalgic bouncing around. In fact, the trampoline is only there to act as a springy platform for the aerobic exercises that you’ll be performing, so the jumping technique will probably feel unfamiliar at first compared to how you’d naturally jump.
Rebounding: the springy, shock-absorbent nature of the trampoline’s surface means that rebounding is a great low impact sport.
What are the benefits of rebounding?
Rebounding isn’t just a fun way to work out – it also offers a load of great benefits.
The springy, shock-absorbent nature of the trampoline’s surface means that rebounding is a great low impact sport – which makes the impact on your body’s joints minimal, especially compared to high-impact sports such as running.
According to a 1980 study from NASA, rebounding is also more effective in building bone and muscle mass than running. The research, which looked at how different forms of exercise helped astronauts regain bone loss and muscle mass after time in space, found that rebounding increases oxygen uptake more than running does due to the increased g-force. Therefore, it benefits the body on a cellular level at a greater rate than other methods of exercising.
Studies have also found that rebounding can help promote balance, agility and coordination
Studies have also found that rebounding can help promote balance, agility and coordination.
Kimberlee Perry, CEO of ((BOUNCE)), a studio that offers rebounding classes, says: “Exercise should never feel like a chore – and what’s more fun than bouncing on a trampoline? When you add in the dance music and the electric vibe in class, fitness doesn’t get any better than this. But it’s not all fun – rebounding is fiercely effective. It can be up to three times more effective than jogging or the same routine done on the floor, thanks to the added g-force and gravity from the trampoline.
“It’s also an inclusive workout open to all ages and abilities, whether you work out regularly and want to try something different, or are returning to fitness from injury, pregnancy or simply time off from exercise. The low impact nature of the trampoline means it’s a safe and comfortable workout for most people, so definitely give it a go.”
And it’s perfect for doing at home, adds Katy: “There’s so little space required – I’m in a tiny flat and can fit it in. In fact, it’s really the only thing I’m consistent with because it makes me so happy. I even walk on it when I’m on Zoom calls (camera off!).”
How can I get involved?
There are lots of different ways to get involved in trampoline-based exercise, depending on what suits you.
Organisations such as ((BOUNCE)) offer home classes that you can stream for high intensity, dance-choreographed classes. Or make like Katy and follow YouTube videos for an intro to the workout.
To make sure you’re getting the most out of rebounding (and assuming the correct form), we asked Perry to explain the best way to do a trampoline workout.
“To get the best workout, the correct form is to lean forward slightly, brace your core and squeeze the abs,” she explains. “Bend your knees and, as you jump, push down into the trampoline – rather than bouncing high up into the air like you would on a trampoline as a kid. Try not to bounce with flat feet, and instead you should jump from the balls of your feet.”

Kids that bounce in their backyard shouldn’t have all the fun — trampolines can be useful for full-grown adults who want to spice up at-home cardio. It doesn’t take long to get your heart rate up when jumping on an exercise trampoline, and there’s no denying that catching air on one sparks more joy than doing all your jumps from the ground. There’s a reason people head to indoor trampoline parks during leisure time. (Related: How to Set Up a Home Gym You’ll Actually Want to Work Out In)
If you’ve been meaning to add some cardio equipment to your home gym but you live in a small space, mini indoor trampolines are ideal. Think about how many you could fit in the amount of space a single treadmill takes up. Many exercise trampolines even fold up, so they can tuck neatly into a closet or under your bed. No need to keep one on display if you think it clashes with your décor style.
And the whole so-fun-it-doesn’t-feel-like-a-workout thing actually checks out. One American Council on Exercise (ACE) study found that women burn an average of 9. 4 calories per minute while jumping on a mini fitness trampoline, which is equivalent to running 5 miles per hour on flat ground. And study participants who jumped on the trampoline reported a lower rate of perceived exertion (RPE) than is typical for that level of activity, possibly because jumping tends to feel fun, making it seem easier. Plus, a trampoline session might be easier on your body than a jump-heavy workout on the ground. “[Trampoline classes are] the perfect workout for people with lower-body issues, such as ankle, knee, hip, or low-back pain,” Pete McCall, C.S.C.S., an exercise physiologist for the American Council on Exercise, previously told Shape. “The elasticity of the trampoline allows the body to move without the additional stress of ground reaction force.”
Bellicon Plus Trampoline

Tone and Tighten with a Rebounding Six Week Workout
Tone and Tighten with a Rebounding Six Week Workout
By Claire Bates and Yinka Thomas for MailOnline
Updated:
Rebounding is a great way of toning and strengthening muscles with the help of gravity
With gloomy autumn nights drawing in, it’s tempting to give up the gym or early morning jog and curl up in bed instead.
Now nutritionist and exercise expert Yinka Thomas, has created a fun and easy-to-follow workout using a mini-trampoline. And the best news is you don’t even have to leave your lounge.
Spending 20 minutes on a rebounder a day will help you tone and firm your body in just six weeks.
‘The reason it’s so effective is because your body feels an increased gravitational (G) force at the bottom of the bounce,’ Yinka said.
‘This can be equivalent to two or three times your bodyweight, and every cell in your body responds to this perceived ‘stress’ by strengthening. ‘
Starting off
A quality advanced-spring rebounder is advisable because cheaper models have low-quality mats and short hard springs.
The best rebounders on the market are German-made Trimilins and Bellicons, and the American-made Reboundair with prices starting at £139. You can order your Trimilin rebounder from here, £5 from every order will be donated to the National Osteoporosis Society.
Set yourself a goal as per the schedule and stick to it. If you get tired during the workout, try to keep going whilst reducing the level of intensity of the exercise. Remember you can rebound to your favourite music, radio or TV programmes to keep you motivated.
Also before you start:
- Ladies should purchase a good sports bra before you start rebounding
- If you are worried about balance, order front and/or side support bars until you’re more confident to bounce without them. Stay central on the rebounder.
- Maintain rhythmical breathing whilst rebounding. You should be able to hold a conversation during the main component of your workout.
- Wear comfortable clothing and rebound in suitable trainers (though you can rebound bare-foot)
- Always pull your abdominals in whilst performing exercises on the rebounder, this helps you to stabilise and balance
- Always finish your workout with a cool down and stretch the large muscles of the legs and torso to complete your workout

And finally… Remember to stretch!
A few minutes of stretching will make you less likely to injure your muscles. Muscles shorten as they fatigue during exercise and stretching them afterwards gets them back to the pre-workout position.
Calf stretch
Stand about 3ft away from a wall. Place your left foot 2ft behind your right, and bend your right knee keeping your left leg straight. Keeping both heels on the ground, lean against the wall using your hands to press against it so that you feel a stretch in the calf of your left leg. Hold for 25 seconds then repeat with the other leg.
Lower calf stretch

The 7 Best Online Tai Chi Classes in 2021
Tai chi classes are known for their gentle approach to movement and ability to improve flexibility, balance, breathing, and strength. They emphasize the mind-body connection and encourage students to adopt a regular practice for maximum physical and mental health benefits.
Tai chi consists of low-impact routines that originated in China as martial arts but have transformed into a practice of meditation in motion appropriate for all ages and skill levels. And the best part? The movements in tai chi are easy to modify and are safe to perform at home.
This roundup includes online tai chi classes from websites that offer on-demand, subscription-based programs, as well as a few videos and apps available for download. With that in mind, here are our top picks for the best online tai chi classes.
How We Chose the Best Online Tai Chi Classes
Our picks for the best online tai chi classes are taught by expert instructors trained on tai chi techniques, and skills. We included classes for all levels, with Master Moy Lin Shin’s Taoist Tai Chi video being our top pick for beginners, and the Tai Chi Online Classes an excellent choice for anyone interested in a comprehensive program.
To make this roundup, we also considered courses appropriate for all ages and levels, with the Gentle Tai Chi and Qi Gong LEAP Service course earning our top pick for seniors and Dr. Paul Lam Tai Chi for Arthritis leading as our favorite for anyone dealing with chronic pain. We also featured the 7 Minute Chi—Tai Chi for Beginners as a perfect fit for anyone short on time. You can view all of these tai chi classes on a phone, tablet, or computer.
What Are the Best Online Tai Chi Classes?
When it comes to the best online tai chi classes, the first thing you should consider is the instructor’s qualifications. To get a solid foundation and learn proper techniques, make sure a qualified tai chi instructor teaches the course. Look for teachers and institutes that are reputable and have a long-standing reputation. Most classes are gentle, slow, and low-impact, so the level of instruction is not as important as the quality of the lesson.
Another consideration when choosing the best online tai chi class is the length. Some instructors offer comprehensive programs with several lessons and modules, while others offer a short class you can do in under 10 minutes. While both options are beneficial, you may want to consider a more comprehensive program, especially if you plan on doing any in-person classes.
How Much Do Tai Chi Classes Cost?
In general, online tai chi classes can range from about $15 to $50, and this includes classes you can stream and videos you can buy. If you go with a subscription-based program like Dr. Lam’s, you can expect to pay about $12 per month.
In-person courses also vary and can cost between roughly $15 and $50 per class, with punch cards and memberships being a popular choice for people who practice tai chi regularly. There are a fair amount of low-to-no cost options available, so check with your local senior centers, community and recreational centers, and fitness facilities for affordable classes.
Who Should Use Tai Chi Classes?
Tai chi classes are appropriate for most ages and fitness levels—especially seniors and people with chronic health conditions like arthritis. The benefits include improvements in your physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health. A regular practice may also have healing benefits ranging from a decrease in arthritic symptoms to improvements in body posture and alignment.
Participants of all ages can benefit from tai chi’s ability to reduce stress and anxiety. Plus, it’s low-impact and gentle on your joints, so you can do it daily. If you are pregnant or have a serious health condition, you should consult your doctor before beginning tai chi.
The Best Victoria’s Secret Workouts
It’s a bit controversial, but whether you loved the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show or not—it was officially canceled in 2019 due to declining ratings—there’s no question that the models had incredibly fit and toned physiques. They worked out hard pre-show and endured grueling workouts to tighten and tone every single muscle in their bodies before taking to the catwalk in their underwear. Though the VS Fashion Show was not without its share of controversy, we must say that the models who walked in the show were always at the top of their fitness game.
If you search YouTube for “Victoria’s Secret workout,” you’ll find tons of videos of gym routines and workouts all promising to give you the body of Bella Hadid and Candice Swanepoel. Some of the models have even taken to starting their own YouTube channels to show off their workouts and give people a glimpse into what it took to train like a VS Angel. And while I’m not dedicated enough to ever get the body of a Victoria’s Secret model, I did wonder what would happen if I were to try every VS workout I could find. Would my fitness actually improve? Would I tone up or slim down, or would I see zero results in return?
Find a rundown of all the Victoria’s Secret workouts I tried (including the ones that worked and the ones that nearly killed me), below.
What is a Victoria’s Secret Workout?
The VS Angels are all in great shape, and while some of that is due to genetics, they all have killer fitness routines, too. Victoria’s Secret workouts are basically just workouts, sure, though they tend to target the areas the Angels are keen to show off: the arms, the butt, the legs, and the abs. They are also pretty intense, which means unless you’re already very physically fit, with a solid routine you practice a few days a week, it’s best not to jump in without a little precaution.
The best way to get in shape, Angel or not? Find a workout you love, and stick with it. “Running five to six days per week and eating chicken and broccoli for every meal, may positively affect your weight in the short term (if weight loss is your goal), but over the long term, it may not be the best plan of action,” says Jacque Crockford, exercise physiology content manager at ACE Fitness, a nonprofit health coach certification organization. “Find healthy snacks and meals that you enjoy cooking and eating with family, so they can support you in your goals as well as selecting activities that increase your movement throughout the day while positively impacting your mental health. If you hate running, you don’t have to run – try hiking, skating, walking, biking, or swimming. If weight-lifting isn’t your jam, try rock-climbing or suspension training. Bottom line, keep things interesting and enjoyable. Your body and your mind will thank you for it!”

The Final Takeaway
Chloe Burcham
There’s no denying that these workouts are hard. Even though the models in the videos might not break a sweat, I for sure did. Do I look like a Victoria’s Secret model at the end of it? No. But do I feel fitter and more toned? Absolutely. At the beginning of said experiment (and having been majorly lax about my gym-going for quite some time), I struggled to do a push-up on my own, but not anymore. My legs, bum and arms all feel more toned. My stomach will always be my problem area, but it, too, definitely feels less jiggly.

Key Information
Size: Choose a rebounder that leaves a bit of room when you stand and jump on it. This will reduce the chances of getting into fall and trip accidents.
Weight Capacity: It is a must to choose a rebounder that can support your weight. Most of them can bear up to 200 pounds of weight. If you are above this range then be very careful when picking a rebounder.
Assembly: It is important to look into the assembly directions before assembling the rebounder. Missing the directions can lead to a waste of time. If the problem persists, contact the support team.
Safety: If possible, look for a trampoline that comes with a handlebar and has a safety pad installed. Moreover, anti-slip mats are also safer.
Price: It’s better to choose high-quality trampolines even if they are a bit costly because they will last longer than cheaper ones. If budget is the issue, choose a well-known brand that sells cheap rebounders.
Durability: A durable rebounder is one that has high-density grips holding the mat. It won’t squeak when you jump or exercise on it. So, make sure you take the noise factor into consideration to check the durability.
Bottom Line
At the end of the day, the number one most important criteria when choosing your rebounder should be its weight capacity. This isn’t to say that a heavy-duty one is always better; it isn’t. What is true, though, is that a rebounder that’s too lightweight to support you is not going to be useful as anything but an overpriced lawn ornament.
There’s a reason we mention a lawn. Simply put, if you’re anywhere north of five feet, six inches, you’re going to have trouble jumping indoors unless you have a cathedral ceiling or a large room with a loft. So when you’re planning, make sure you’ve got a space planned outside to set up it up.
No matter what kind of workout you’re doing, safety is paramount. You wouldn’t ride a bicycle without a helmet. You wouldn’t do a bench press without a spotter. So why would you use a rebounder without a grab bar?
No matter what rebounder you end up buying, we hope our guide has helped point you in the right direction. And no matter what you buy, remember to have fun. There aren’t many types of workout machines that are this enjoyable to use. So enjoy yourself!

90,000 Jalil Okafor – Beginner Tutorial – In Lakers Colors – Blogs
Jalil Okafor.
Biography-
Main:
Jalil Okafor is an American non-professional basketball player playing for Duke University. Prior to that, he played for Whitney Young High School (Chicago, Illinois), where he won a number of awards.
Family:
Okafora’s father Chukwudi (pronounced chuh-Kwoodie) is of Nigerian descent, and Dakresh’s mother Lanette Benton is of African American and Caucasian descent.
Early:
In his youth, Jalil constantly rushed between his father’s house in Chicago and his mother’s in Oklahoma. When the boy was 9 years old, his mother dies due to lung problems, after which Okafor moves to his father in Chicago. At school, Jalil found it difficult to adjust as he was very shy and timid. Eventually, he began attending Whitney Young’s school. In seventh grade, Okafor was 196 centimeters tall. In grade 8, 2-meter Okafor was recruited by DePaul Blue Demons men’s basketball, but was unable to play for them due to NCAA rules. At this age, the young guy was already beating his father one-on-one. He showed outstanding abilities already in high school. He had high hopes for his first season, which he was able to live up to by becoming the ACC Player of the Year and entering the First Team All-American. In addition, Jalil was instrumental for his team in the NCAA to defeat Wisconsin in the championship finals.
Whitney Young High School graduate (Chicago, Illinois) Jalil Okafor is considered the most talented high school basketball player in the United States of America. This opinion is shared by the editors of the reputable sports publication Sports Illustrated. DraftExpress.com is betting that Okafor will be the No. 1 overall NBA draft pick in 2015. The 18-year-old center wants to go pro after his first season in the NCAA (Jalil chose Duke University in Indiana to play at the undergraduate level). Jalil’s father believes that his son could play in the National Basketball Association right after graduation. However, currently, a high school student must run back at least one season as a student. It is likely that soon a new age limit for participation in the NBA draft may be set – 20 years. In any case, this is exactly what the new league commissioner Adam Silver is moving towards.
Player Description –
General:
Date of birth: December 15, 1995 (at the time of the Draft will be 19 years old)
College: Duke
Position: center
Class: Freshman (spent one season as Duke)
Height: 210 cm
Weight: 120 kg
City: Chicago, Illinois School: Whitney Young

Blocks: 1.5

Fouls: 2
Loss: 2.8
% game: .664
% free kicks: .562
NBA Prototype: Al Jefferson
Short description:
Jalili Okafor can become a pretty good scorer in the future, this is facilitated by his physical data: height, long arms, broad shoulders. But the problem is that it is limited to the paint game.
Defensive actions are another story altogether. It was very hard for me to look at him in defense: lethargic, lazy, slow, in a word, dead, especially during pick-and-rolls, he does not accompany his opponent well, perhaps because of fear of a foul or for another reason, but in fact, defense is not his element. In addition, if Okafor’s counterpart has the ability to throw from long distances, then playing against Jalil he will not encounter any obstacles in the attack.
However, the potential, as well as physical data, should contribute to the development of the defensive qualities of this player.
Strengths:
A large, strong body with huge arms and hands, which greatly helps him to collect rebounds in the fight. Wonderful, well-honed back-to-the-ring play, with a lot of movement in the post. He is quite mobile for his size, has a fairly high game intelligence, knows his strengths very well and puts pressure on them first of all, without trying to do what he cannot. The body is physically absolutely ready for the NBA in both size and power, while Jalil has fairly mobile legs, as well as a very soft hand. Able to collect double-teams on himself and distribute high-quality programs. He chooses a position well and knows how to use his size correctly, plays very quickly, but at the same time calmly and patiently. The head works well beyond its years.
Weaknesses:
Not a great rebounder (rebounds), nor can he call himself a cool blocker. Not able to change the game with his defense. It sags quite a lot when defending in a post. Has slight leg problems during pick and roll. He has no shot and is not capable of giving much in pick-and-roll situations. Close to reaching their potential, they lack defensive athleticism.
Total:
Many experts have described him as the center with the best skillset of any high school student in history. Dominated in school and dominated in his first year of college.A well-honed low-post scorer, but unlikely to become the dominant sniper or rebounder (rebounds) at the NBA level.
Prototype in the NBA:
Comparison with Jefferson is relevant here, but not entirely.
It was not said above that Jalil cannot leave double custody. Yes, he immediately folds, finding a partner, but if you look at several of Al’s highlights, then you will understand that, due to his age and considerable experience, Jefferson does a good job with the problem of double-team (double guardianship), making several skillful turns with his back and leaving defenders with a nose.
On the other hand, if we identify these players, then we should not forget about kicking, a wide attacking arsenal and outstanding abilities in the post (quick turns, deceiving moves, jump hooks, etc.).
Indeed, they are somewhat similar, both are quite powerful centers, not the most athletic, but no less agile. I would note that in the passes, Jalil possibly surpasses Jefferson, the latter, in turn, has a throw delivered over the years, both with an average and a deviation. In addition, they both know how to work with their hands, especially elbows, when moving in fasting or on rebounds, but again Jefferson is at a higher level in this aspect.
After reading this comparison, don’t get me wrong. It is clear to everyone that the layman will clearly be inferior to the NBA player (Robert Sacre is not on this list), I just pointed out the points that Okafor will still have to work hard on.
For a complete acquaintance with the peculiarities of Jalil Okafor’s playing style, I recommend watching the video recording data:
-The strengths of the player (The source is foreign, but the video should be more or less clear, even if your English is at a low level. And besides, a lot of the video was used for text)
– Weaknesses of Okafor (see what is written in parentheses above)
– A helpful NBA scout footage detailing Jalil Okafor’s performance on both halves of the court.
-The next two videos are a comparison of Al Jefferson with Jalil Okafor (I advise you to watch it in parallel)
-Jalil Okafor vs. Frank Kaminski (a very useful post where the strengths and weaknesses of Jalil Okafor are well revealed, especially the defense against the throwing “big man” and the player’s escort during pick-and-rolls)

NewRoad2012. Louisville Cardinals – CollegeBasketballBlog
Rick Pitino was able to contribute an impressive piece of history for the University of Kentucky, with which he won the championship title in 1996. After a short break in the Boston Celtics, he is now trying to repeat his success in the lair of the Wildkets’ nemesis – the University of Louisville. Last year, he stopped a step away from the final match, now the bar is set at the level of minimum repetition of this success.
Last season
While the Big East conference spent its last season with a well-established roster (this season we will not see West Virginia there, and a year later there will be a few more members), the Cardinals expected a good season in both the regular season and the March Madness – as compensation for a sensational departure from Kenneth Farid’s Morehead State in the first leg of the postseason. Most of the players were already reaching their peak, so it was time to fire.
If in 2009 the team with Earl Clark and Terrence Williams stopped one step from the Final 4, when that running and athletic team was just http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijOimAs5Ri8, then in the last championship Rick Pitino got a chance for revenge, albeit at a slightly earlier stage. In general, Pitino seriously changed his team, the current Cardinals play a completely different philosophy – they beat Spartans the way they beat them in 2009 – they just dried up and tortured the opponent, allowing them to score 44 (!!! ) point! Perhaps there are no such local stars as Terrence Williams, but this team is valuable to each of its players, and each performs only its own specific tasks.
The history of Louisville-2012 is a bit like the Yukon-2011 – the excellent start of the regular season is cut short by an unsuccessful start inside the conference, and both teams lost even to those who, logically, should have been ignored. Last year’s Connecticut finished the conference with a score of 9-9 (9th place), current Louisville – 10-8 (7th place). Both Huskies and Cardinals gave unrealistic jerks after that,
(the first won 5 matches in 5 days, the second – 4, since they missed the first round) and reached the Final 4 right away, however, only Jim Calhoun’s wards (who recently finished his coaching career) conquered the championship, and Rick Pitino lost future champions in a worthy fight.Another difference between the latest Big East winners is that Louisville does not have its own Kemba Walker. 6 players at once scored 9 or more points on average per match! Almost any player can shoot, so to defeat this team you need to play defense better than them.
Next season will probably be the last for today’s squad, and therefore the greatest chances to exceed last year’s result are now, when there are practically no obvious favorites for the championship. Previously, Rick Pitino suffered from overestimation of the capabilities of some of his players, such as Samardo Samuels and Terrence Jennings, who were drafted and never heard their name at the ceremony.Okay, Samardo, who was still noticed in Cleveland (although someone should have drafted), but Jennings … Louisville is just one of the current favorites, and the main thing for this team is to keep the necessary line between attack and defense in their game – they found a recipe for reliable play in defense and at the same time beautiful in attack, but even the 2009 squad, which ended the season with 31 wins and only 6 losses, managed to lose to Western Kentucky, Minnesota and UNLV. This trend is seen in the Cardinals during the Pitino era – both success and moreheadstate can come at any moment, even when everything is perfect on paper.

Two players in the starting five are leaving the university this year – JAr Smith’s brother Chris, and veteran Kyle Curic – both, incidentally, turned down their scholarships last year if the team needed reinforcement from a string of injuries – a worthy gesture from important players. for the team.
When I realize Curik’s departure from the Cardinals, I remember the game in which he made a name for himself throughout the league. For almost two seasons, no one suspected the existence of this player (well, how “did not know” … he just scored 3.5 points on average, and that’s it), until Kyle shot at the end of the season in the most important match for Louisville fans.
closed a whole era for the Cards – they were moving to the new and modern “Yum! Center”, and even the best team in the league at that time could not ruin the farewell to the old arena for either the team or its fans.Curik contributed to this – the deep reserve player just ripped Orange in the second half – all of his 22 points came in the last 20 minutes and got the entire Freedom Hall to its feet – for the last time. I was lucky enough to see that fantastic match live, but most likely, when I finish writing all this now, I’ll go digging on torrent trackers to watch it again.
That performance made Kyle not only the main player of the rotation, but also gave him a ticket to the starting line-up – in the junior season he was already the team’s second scorer after Preston Knowles and entered the pitch 19 times from the first seconds, and in the senior year he was already the best “scoring” “in an even Pitinovskaya rotation, besides, he had almost no alternative in the position of the third number – no one played on average for more than 36 minutes.Kuric is no longer just a regular sniper, whose name was called the left corner near the three-point line (Kuric’s Corner is his favorite position), but also a pretty good athlete, which is not quite typical for “white guys-snipers” – last year
according to one version, and this is not an isolated case when he scored from above. His secondary roles in the team in the first half of his career taught him to always work on himself, and now it has paid off – he will play in the Spanish Championship for Estudiantes, and the fans will remember him not only as “that dude who scored 22 points in second half. “Well, and not only as “the dude who wore the same shirt and socks in every match.”
Chris Smith also experienced something similar when he joined the Cardinals – no one believed in him. Smith spent 2 years at Manhattan College, where he averaged 9.9 points per game. A transfer to a Louisville-level university was perceived as an absolute loss of playing time, as even his coach told Chris. “Only my family and I believed in me,” as he himself put it. His brother supported the idea of transferring to a strong program, and when there was no free scholarship, he began to pay for Chris’s tuition. And the younger Smith not only did not disappoint, but became the starting attacking defender of the Cardinals and played 27 minutes per match, became the vice-captain. His 15 points in the final of the conference playoffs against Cincinnati helped the team win and secure a spot in the March Madness. Now Chris Smith has been invited to the New York Knicks’ training camp, where he will try to break into the squad and play with Jayar. The banal phrase “hard work pays off” is missing. Here she was, by the way.
Curik and Smith’s partner Jared Swapshire was not so fortunate at the end of his Louisville career. He had to completely miss the 2010-11 season due to injury, after which he returned with the wrong Swapshire, who had been in the starting five the year before and played for 30 minutes in that memorable match at Freedom Hall. He played in almost every game and his experience was important to the team, but Jared was only a short-term youth replacement. He graduated from Louisville, but the last year, which he has left unused thanks to redshirt, he will spend at Northwestern University. Swapshyr’s universalism and athleticism will try to replace, at least partially, the Wildcats legend John Shurnu.
Key Returns
Peyton Siwa
Signor
Birth Date: October 24, 1990
Hometown: Seattle, WA
Height: 6-0
Weight: 185 lbs
Point guard
Statistics 2011-12: 9.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.7 steals, 31.7 minutes
Peyton Siwa is one of those players from whom you always expect something unusual, and even if in three years he did not become the Player of the Year, did not get into the symbolic national team of the season, did not put up for the draft, and they still expect this from him – then he is doing everything right.Outwardly, Siwa looks like the average bully gangsta player with legal problems, which are a dime a dozen in the NCAA, but this is not at all the case – Peyton has a very http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQjyDuvLxhA attending Cardinals matches at every opportunity, a brother whom he considers the strongest player against whom he played, and he chose his game number in honor of the Holy Trinity. At one time he was one of the best school point guards and a participant in the McDonald’s AA match, but Siva set himself the goal of getting an education, and has already reached his final year at university.
Peyton never impressed with statistical records, didn’t score many points, but was always among the leaders of the team, and now the captain. His goal is to make the game easier for his partners, namely to play defense and give passes. Its advantages are the skill of implementing the most difficult shots, speed and dribbling, the ability to pull the defense onto oneself. As a personal defender – Siwa is one of the best in the league – 13 games with 4+ interceptions in his career! In terms of transmission, he was in the top 5 of the conference. As a leader, he can score important points, scored several times in the “clutch-time”, and his performances in the playoffs of the conference and brought the Cardinals this title. While everyone was already disappointed in Peyton, he takes the title of Best Player of the Big East with 13.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.8 steals! The main disadvantages, however, are just as obvious for him – this is a long-range shot (24.6%, according to his words, this is what he focuses on in the offseason), frequent problems with fouls due to a great desire to defend. It seems that once again his candidacy will be considered as a possible player of the year in the conference – when will these people learn that they will still take someone with cool statistics?
Gorgi Jeng
Center
Birth Date: January 18, 1990
Hometown: Dakar, Senegal
Height: 6-11
Weight: 245 lbs
Junior
Statistics 2011-12: 9.1 point, 9.1 rebounds, 3.2 block shots, 32.8 minutes
The undisputed discovery of Rick Pitino is the Senegalese center. It is now difficult to imagine the game of this team without yesterday’s reservist, and one season was enough for Jenga to become almost the best pros prospect in the Cardinals from a whole group of “promising African centers”! With almost seven feet tall and a 7-4 arm span, he has the potential to be the best center in the Big East.
What I love about Gorgi is that he works on every aspect of his game.He is dangerous not only as a defender (128 block shots last season became a university record, in total for two years with 184 blocked shots he already occupies the 4th line in the history of the “Cards”), but also on the other side of the court. He’s quite fast, and plays well with his backs, using half-hooks and even medium roundhouse shots. From an average distance he is still “afraid” of throwing often, but he knows how to do it pretty well. Jeng was especially good in the second half of the season, became a real double-double machine (11 double-doubles), and also made 6 or more block shots 6 times. So far, he is most interested in NBA scouts, so it is possible that next season will be his last in a Louisville jersey. Although, like Siwa, he also stated his desire to receive a diploma …
Russ Smith
Junior
Birth Date: April 19, 1991
Hometown: Briarwood, NY
Height: 6-0
Weight: 165 lbs
Defender
Statistics 2011-12: 11.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 2.2 steals, 21.5 minutes
Where was this guy a year ago?
“Russdiculous” – this is how Rick Pitino called not only Russell Smith, he and his horse participating in the races. Yes, in his debut season he was tormented by minor injuries, but in the 17 matches that he played, no one could have thought what this energizer would turn into next year. In just over 20 minutes on average per match, Smith scores more shots for a field goal than any of his teammates. He implemented only a little over 35% of them, but who cares if he brings a headache (to put it mildly) for anyone who defends against him. Paired with Peyton Siva, Russ can form the best defensive backcourt in the league with 3.9 steals per game, with 2.2 of them making Smith! In his 20 minutes in the match, he set the university record for interceptions per season – 87. And besides his defense, he complements Siwa well as a scorer – he knows how to move without the ball, owns technical dribbling and speed, and knows how to score points.Let it not always be rational. But if Russ is playing, then … It was he who dragged the Cardinals in Lexington against Kentucky, scored 30 points at the Rapp Arena at a time when none of his partners scored even 10. In the Elite 8 match against Florida, he almost ruined his team a stupid loss, but he was saved by Bradley Beal, who immediately made a run after the interception. Well, Smith was not embarrassed, and he finished off the Gators with a total of 19 points and brought Louisville to the Final 4.
It looks like it’s only in the Cardinals that a player with 36% sales from the field will be praised for a successful season, and after two 6-foot defenders it will be so difficult to score points. And the funny thing is that it is so. City of contrasts.
Shane Baechenen
Sofmore
Birth Date: September 24, 1992
Hometown: Cincinnati, OH
Height: 6-6
Weight: 250 lbs
Forward
Statistics 2011-12: 9.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 26.0 minutes
Louisville’s best rookie last season confirmed his status and almost immediately won a place in the starting five. With a height of 6-6, he is a powerful forward and in size and skill Rick Pitino compared him to Charles Barkley. Of course, until the level of Chuck Bahenen to work and work, but there is something in common – let’s not question coach Louisville’s basketball knowledge. Shane prefers to dwell in the three-second zone, where he uses all his power and weight in the fight for the rebound. He became the first freshman in the history of the program with two double-doubles in the first two matches, in total he collected 6+ rebounds in 30 out of 40 matches of the season!
Baechenen knows how to score points not only as a classic big man, but also playing at medium and long distances. It has good throwing mechanics, but due to infrequent use, it does not hit as consistently as it could. I really like the motivation in him to play as best as possible against any opponent. “Tough player” in American terms. In the regional final, it was the freshman who organized the comeback of Louisville, who was down -11, while he came out in the middle of the second half with 4 fouls in his account. By the way, lack of height often leads to very unnecessary fouls by Shane in defense. With experience, he should make such mistakes less and less in the future, so we’ll see.
I changed my game number from “24” to “21”.
Wayne Blackshire
Sofmore
Birth Date: February 11, 1992
Hometown: Chicago, IL
Height: 6-5
Weight: 230 lbs
Defender / Forward
Statistics 2011-12: 2.5 points, 1.4 rebounds, 7.0 minutes
The team’s second star rookie, Chicago swingman Wayne Blackshire, was a McDonald’s with Bahenen, but his debut season was not as successful as Shane’s.More precisely, it did not work out at all – a few days before the start of the season, he injured his shoulder in training and was recovering from this for almost the entire season, but problems with positions in 2-3 numbers forced the newcomer not to use redshirt, and made his debut on February 11 in a match against Western Virginia “- right on your 20th birthday. It was the Cardinals’ 25th game of the season, and Blackshire made his debut more than well with 13 points, 4 rebounds, an interception and a block shot. But this is still his best match at the university at the moment. It is difficult to demand something from a newcomer, who started training with the team only from the beginning of February, and to analyze his statistics – a shoulder injury affects the throw a lot. So the main hopes for the next year are connected precisely with Wayne’s progress – as a completely healthy person, he should already show his serious potential to the fullest. At school, he was known as a master of three-pointers and generally as a scorer, but at the same time quite reliable in defense. Most of all, you need to work on the dribbling, because with his athleticism, you can and should threaten your opponent with passes and earn free throws and personal remarks.
Like Baechenen, he changed his game number – now he is “20”.
Kevin Weir
Sofmore
Birth Date: January 3, 1993
Hometown: Bronx, NY
Height: 6-2
Weight: 175 lbs
Defender
Statistics 2011-12: 1.0 points, 0.7 rebounds, 5.3 minutes
The Bronx Freshman had a tough season last.At first, he delayed his recruiting for a long time, and Louisville became his third (!) University choice, despite the fact that he was disqualified until December 14, after which he made his debut in the game against Memphis. Weir is a talented defender who knows how to play both as a point guard and as an attacking defender. Last season, his mind was not successful – he played little, sitting behind the backs of veterans, and in the minutes that he received, he often made mistakes, often made hasty shots and his 1.1 loss per game is the same as Chris Smith, who played 5 times more.Good news began to arrive this summer – in training, Kevin is increasingly noted by coaches, he is progressing a lot and even appears in the list of contenders for the vacant position of the second number. Weir is a quintessential New York balller – a good mix of dribbling and athleticism, but a light shot. This offseason he has worked on this flaw and may be one of the surprises of the season. Unlocking the potential of this player will cover the loss of the main attacking defender with interest.
Mike Murra
Signor
Birth Date: May 22, 1990
Hometown: Smithfield, RI
Height: 6-5
Weight: 200 lbs
Defender / Forward
Statistics 2011-12: 2 matches, 6.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 12.5 minutes
Team veteran Mike Murra only played in 2 games last season and was knocked out with torn ligaments, joining in a string of injuries to Cardinals players. He was always considered one of the main reservists, although sometimes he went out at the start. He went down in history as the author of the first points (three-point) and rebounds in the history of the new KFC Yum! Center. A sniper, but he can play from the passage suddenly for the opponent, which reminds the same Kyle Curik. Good rebounder and can defend against multiple positions. It is not clear in what form he will be after the injury, since he will be able to be fully ready only in December. It seems that he did not use redshirt, since on the official website he is listed as a signor, which means that next year will be his last in college.
Team newcomers
Given the situation with scholarships and relatively small losses, Rick Pitino did not make sense (and opportunities) to recruit many newcomers, and yet we will see three new players in the lineup at once. One of the likely freshmen – point guard Terry Rosier – will not play for the Cardinals this season due to grades problems, and will spend another year in prep-school. Even without Rosier, Louisville’s coach picked up two players at the last minute, so all the scholarship positions are now full. Some of the newcomers may prove themselves already in their debut season.
Luke Hancock
Junior
Forward
Height 6-6
Weight 200
Transfer from George Mason “
Statistics 2010-11: 10.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.0 steals, 28.6 minutes
Luke Hancock transferred to Louisville from George Mason University, where he was one of the leaders and most versatile player on the team. I missed last season according to the transfer rules. His high school coach, Kevin Kitts, is now an assistant at the Cardinals, so this is largely what helped Pitino acquire this player, who is considered by many to be a replacement for Kyle Curik. Playing as a light forward, Hancock led the Patriots in assists, and overall he can do almost everything on the court without going too much – he attacked with 49.4% from the field, 35.9% from behind the arc and 81% from the free throw line is a very useful player, claiming a place in the starting five. He has a good lead, can play both from the pass, and “post-up” smaller players for himself or from a throw. if Luke brings his “Georgemason” game to the Big East conference, then he has every chance of joining the company of the best newcomers to this conference.
Montrezl Harrell
Power Forward
Height 6-8
Weight 235
Montrezl Harrell was supposed to be one of the saviors of Virginia Tech – this is where he intended to go this year, but the dismissal of the head coach Seth Greenberg Hookey set off this rather underestimated striker, and then Rick Pitino jumped in.
Harrell is a fantastic athlete for his size with long arms (7-4 arms span!), Who is too low for the position of number four, which reminds Baechenen – a little one-sided players, so it is not clear if he will get enough time. In the front line, only a few minutes of Swapshyr were free, and Montrezl could have played much more in a team with a weaker rotation. He can shoot from a distance up to three points, and, even with a shortage of height, dominates the rebound (although he is even taller than Shane Bahenen).Harrell always plays charged and it is very difficult to keep him in the immediate vicinity of the ring. In one of the matches last season, he scored 51 points, scoring 18 times from above! And in the Jordan Brand Classic regional match, he became the best with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 7 block shots. The acquisition of such a player will certainly saturate the Cardinals’ frontcourt.
Mangok Matiang
Center
Height 6-10
Weight 200
Sudanese Australian Mangok Matiang joined the team the day before the freshman class – at the last moment. The lanky center could become the new Gorgi Jeng in Louisville – he was not particularly famous before, but the Cards scouts have already shown that they can find promising and underrated centers, especially since the Matiang scholarship was offered by such programs as Kansas State, Georgia, Mississippi State, Auburn. Rick Pitino notes Mangoka’s agility for both his size, both offensively and defensively. While in defense, he will be doing better – he has shown himself to be a good rebounder and shot-blocker in the team, 11 members of which entered the universities of the NCAA First Division. With so many good bigs, this is most likely a long-term acquisition.
Picked number 12 as a Dwight Howard fan.
Results
After last year’s Final 4, this team was seriously ranked among the favorites of the next season – quite rightly, because almost all the components of that success are still in the team. Louisville will be on par with Indiana for the No. 1 seed since the start of this season and for the title in general. At the moment I’m putting the Cardinals just below the Hoosiers, because Rick Pitino’s team has a little more unanswered questions than Bloomington: “Will Weir play?”, “Will Blackshire play?” “will Siwa add?” Both teams have a very wide rotation, there is a replacement for almost every player, and Pitino, perhaps, will have a more experienced composition and bench – only 2 freshmen, and then on the sidelines. What can be said more confidently is the status of the main favorites of the Big East conference, since almost all other contenders have lost a lot of veteran leaders.Iron must be forged.
Blitz
Team Leader: Peyton Siwa
Best Scorer: Russ Smith
Best Rebounder: Gorgi Jeng
Best Assistant: Peyton Siwa
Surprise of the season: Kevin Weir
X Factor: Luke Hancock
Position in the conference: 1
Starting five
Who will take the place of Chris Smith paired with Siwa? There are several options at once – Hancock, who will shift Blackshire to the position of an attacking defender, and Smith, who can play without the ball and has already paired with Peyton.Or maybe Kevin Weir, who’s impressive in training this summer? If you follow the classics, then Hancock should play at the start – if he plays the same way as in George Mason. But I would venture to suggest that Pitino will no longer be able to restrain Russ on the bench.
Siwa – Smith – Blackshire – Baehenen – Jeng

When using text, please include a link to this page.
Christopher Nathan Humphries (born February 6, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played in the NBA for the Utah Jazz, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, New Jersey / Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Hawks. Humphreys played college basketball for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers as well as the US men’s basketball team.
early years
Humphries was born in Minnesota to Debra and William Humphries. His father was a soccer player at the University of Minnesota. Humphreys is half African American from his father. He has two older sisters, Krystal and Keila. His first success in the sport came in swimming competition, where he was the best 10-year-old in the country in six competitions, first beating young Michael Phelps in the remaining competitions. Chris Humphreys held the US national 50m freestyle record for 10 and younger boys for 18 years until he was recently beaten. At 12, he gave up swimming to pursue a basketball career.
Humphreys attended Hopkins High School where he led the team to a 25-2 record in 2002 and their first Minnesota State Championship in 49 years. In 2003, he was named an American by McDonald’s and named by an American by “USA Today” the second US team. He was also named Super 25 basketball team by USA Today, Minnesota Mister Basketball, and State Player of the Year by the Minneapolis Star Tribune and College Basketball News. He was one of the 10 finalists for the 2003 Naismith Prep Player of the Year Award and has doubled his points twice over the past three seasons, averaging 25.7 points, 11.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game as senior player.
In 2003, Humphreys was recognized as a five-star recruit by Rivals, and in 2003 – the # 2 strongest forward and # 15 player in the country.
Humphreys accepted the Duke University scholarship offer but later revised it and chose the University of Minnesota.
College Career
In Minnesota, Humphreys was named the 2004 Big Ten Rookies and named the Big Ten First Teams by media and coaches. It has been named “Honorable Mention of America” by the Associated Press and Reeves. He became the first rookie to top the Big Ten in points and rebounds in the same season. He has double-digit goals in all 29 games, while he has 16 points / doubles in the Minnesota season. He averaged 21.7 points and 10.1 rebounds (both the best in the Big Ten), while shooting 444 percent from the field and 742 percent from the line. On February 18, 2004, he set a high school record with 36 points against Indiana. He also set the high school record for the most freshman points in a season at 629 and became the first Big Ten rookie to be named Conference Player of the Week in two of the first three weeks of the season.Humphreys only played for Minnesota one season before being announced for the NBA Draft.
Although Humphreys personally achieved success in Minnesota, the team struggled. The Gophers finished 12-18, with a 3-13 record in the Big Ten during Humphreys’ singles season, tying Penn State to their worst conference record. Critics accused Humphries of being selfish, preferring to inflate his stats and NBA draft rather than helping the team win matches. The team set a record of 500 points before his arrival and finished with a record of 10-6 points in the conference season after his departure.
Professional career
Utah Jazz (2004-2006)
Humphries was compiled by Utah Jazz and ranked 14th in the 2004 NBA overall standings. He spent two seasons with jazz, averaging 3.7 ppg and 2.8 rpg in 4.8 minutes per game.
Raptors Toronto (2006-2009)
On June 8, 2006, Humphries, along with Robert Waley, were sold to the Toronto Predators in exchange for Rafael Araujo. In the 2006-07 season, after a slow start in which he didn’t get many minutes from Raptor coach Sam Mitchell, Humphreys proved to be a valuable rebounder and energetic player, and contributed to the Raptors winning their first division title history. On March 28, 2007, he received seven attack rebounds in the 27th minute against the Miami Heat, both in the Major Leagues and in his career. He then made nine offensive rebounds and 18 rebounds, beating the Detroit Pistons on April 13, 2007. Humphries finished his first season with the Raptors with a high career record of 3.1 rpg and 470 field goals, as well as 3.8 ppg.
Dallas Mavericks (2009-2010)
for the season.
On July 9, 2009, Humphreys, Sean Marion and Nathan Jawai were sold to the Dallas Mavericks in a deal between the four Raptors, Mavericks, Orlando Magic and Memphis Grizzlies teams.

On January 11, 2010, the Mavericks traded Humphries with G / F Shawn Williams for the New Jersey network to recapture Eduardo Nayera. On January 27, 2010, Humphreys earned 25 career points against the Los Angeles Clippers. Previously, he recorded career heights of 15 and 21 points, respectively, in the New Jersey network. The 2011 season was a breakout season for Humphreys as he doubled his points and bounces on average. On December 21, 2011, Humphries signed a one-year contract with the New Jersey chain for $ 8 million.
On July 17, 2012, Humphreys signed a two-year contract for $ 24 million with the Networks, which by this time had moved to Brooklyn.
Boston Celtics (2013-2014)
On June 27, 2013, ESPN reported that the Nets and Boston Celtics have worked out a deal that will send Humphries and four other players to Boston (Keith Boghans, Marchand Brooks, Chris Joseph and Gerald Wallace), as well as three future first-round drafts in exchange for Kevin. Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry, as well as D.Jason White. The deal was finalized on July 12, 2013.
Washington Wizards (2014-2016)
On July 19, 2014, Humphries was acquired by the Washington Wizards in a landmark trade deal that resulted in the Boston Celtics receiving a 2015 protected second circle and trade exemption. On October 9, 2014, he underwent a successful operation to repair the nerve damage in his right little finger, after which he was suspended from work for three to four weeks.
On November 14, 2015, Humphreys scored 5 out of 8 three points on his way to play – 23 points, helping the Wizards defeat Orlando Magic 108-99. Until the 2015-16 season, Humphreys was more than a decade from earning a three-point point. In the 2004-05 rookie season, he scored two points and not one after that until this game.
Phoenix Sans (2016)
On 18 February 2016, Humphreys was traded along with De Juan Blair and a 2016 defended first round pickup before the Phoenix Sun in exchange for Markieff Morris. The next day, he made his Suns debut, losing 116-100 to the Houston Rockets, recording 18 points and 12 rebounds in 27 minutes from the bench, becoming the 13th Suns player to debut with a double-double. On February 28, after three starts in four installments, he was released by the Suns in a buyout agreement.
Atlanta Hawks (2016-2017)
On March 1, 2016, Humphreys signed an agreement with the Atlanta Hawks. He made his Hawks debut three days later, beating the Los Angeles Lakers 106-77, recording 14 points, eight rebounds, one steal and one block in 22 minutes.
On July 15, 2016, Humphreys re-signed with the Hawks.
Retirement
On September 25, 2017, Humphreys signed a contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, but on October 14, 2017, he abandoned it as one of the final abbreviations of the list. Humphreys announced his retirement on March 26, 2019.
National Team Career
Humphreys was on the 2002 World Junior Championship qualifier alongside future Raptors team-mate Chris Bosch. The team finished with a 4-1 record and a bronze medal and qualified for the berth in the 2003 FIBA World Junior Championships. Humphreys averaged 9.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in five games.
personal life
Humphreys began dating reality TV face Kim Kardashian in October 2010. They got engaged in May 2011 and got married on 20 August 2011. In early October 2011 on E! a two-part television series about the preparations and the wedding itself aired, amid what The Washington Post called the “media twin” associated with the wedding. On October 31, 2011, it was announced that Kardashian had filed for divorce from Humphreys after 72 days of marriage. On December 1, 2011, Humphries filed his response to Kardashian’s petition to annul it on the basis of fraud or a lawful separation order rather than the Kardashian’s petition for divorce. Several news outlets have spread rumors that Kardashian’s marriage to Humphries was just a publicity stunt for financial gain orchestrated by E! Entertainment, Kris, and Kim Kardashian promoted the Kardashian family’s brand and their subsequent television ventures, although there was no substantial evidence to support their claims.
