Our Team
Dear Friend,
The first week of July 2015, I stood in your shoes with unexpected news – I had cancer. I was paralyzed with fear for days but slowly, with the help of family, friends, lots of prayers and the dream team of doctors, I found my fighting spirit. I hope if you are reading this you have found yours. If you haven’t yet, keep trying. I promise it will come.
My journey with cold cap therapy started with a late night session on “Dr. Google” looking for any way I could save my hair. It was then I sent my family the first links about cold caps. I incessantly researched reading every word I could find – the good and the bad. I quickly made the decision I would use cold caps and subsequently which company I would use.
Cold caps are not for everyone. The choice is a very personal one. My goal is for everyone to have a choice. Your doctors’ job is to save your life; they may not be concerned about your hair. If cold cap therapy interests you, talk to your doctor about it and make an informed decision. I was repeatedly told by some cold cap therapy would not work, I was wasting my money. Week after week for six months we proved everyone wrong. Results are not guaranteed, but I offer two things for you to think about: If you don’t try you will never know and every day you have hair is a day you wouldn’t have without cold cap therapy.
Warrior Caps is offering you a one stop rental service I hope will give you the best opportunity to look in the mirror each day and see the “you” looking back you saw every day before you found out your had cancer. American Cancer Society has a program “Look Good Feel Better,” and I believe when you look good you feel good. Some embrace the Warrior who has no hair, and that is GREAT! It is their choice and for some the only choice they have. I like to believe I was a Warrior with hair.
XO

About us
When Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 39 she immediately started playing on “Dr. Google” looking for answers. Would she live? Would she die? Would she lose her hair? In the process she found cold cap therapy, an option for hair loss prevention. Cold caps have been used in Europe for decades but is not widely known about in the United States. The premise behind cold caps is simple – chemotherapy kills fast dividing cells. Freezing the scalp limits the amount of chemotherapy which reaches the hair follicles’ fast dividing cells. Lisa used cold caps through 16 rounds of chemotherapy (AC+T) with the help of her brother, her personal “Capping Specialist”. She held onto something said early on…”every day you have hair is a day you wouldn’t have without cold cap therapy.” It was not easy but she persevered through six months of chemotherapy with hair.
Lisa has a history of giving back to the community through volunteerism, so it was only natural she would find a way to give back through her cancer diagnosis. While still in treatment, Lisa began coaching others through their cancer diagnosis and subsequently through the cold cap process. With her experience in cold cap therapy and the deep desire to help others, she decided to fill a niche in the community and founded Warrior Caps. Cold cap therapy is not for everyone, but Lisa’s goal is for everyone to have a choice.
Warrior Caps celebrated their 7th anniversary in July. There are current and graduated Warriors in states from the East Coast to the West Coast. Warrior Caps have been used successfully with all types of cancers and chemotherapy regimens.

Summer caps: main types and features

The desire to cover one’s head has always accompanied a person since ancient times. It is not surprising that along with the evolution of clothing and footwear, the development of hats took place, and the history of each of them is interesting in its own way.
Even such a modern item as a baseball cap had ancestors in the culture of Ancient Egypt, Rome and in the attire of Medieval warriors. True, it was too long ago. In the recent past, the appearance of a cap with a hard visor is associated with its revival as part of not military, but sports ammunition. And here jockey helmets and beanie caps had a special influence.
How did sports headgear with a visor come about?
Athletes were looking for the perfect headgear for games and training. Universal, which could be approved as a mandatory baseball uniform standard. Until the 40s of the twentieth century, teams performed in whatever they wanted. Most often used jockey helmets and straw hats as protection from the sun in the open field. But the straw climbed into the eyes and quickly fell into disrepair, the jockeys were heavy and frying. Then they came up with the idea of sewing a round cap, shaped like a helmet of riders, but from a lighter fabric.
The principle of cutting was borrowed from the “cap-hat” – a favorite headdress of “blue-collar workers”, electricians, mechanics, builders. The product consisted of several triangular links that converged at the crown and formed a spherical shape. These wedges are still present on the baseball cap today, as is the round button in the center. The high crown made it possible to ventilate the head well, and it also turned out that any sign, team logo or sports club name could be placed on it.
And so it happened that borrowing something from other caps, the sports baseball cap quickly gained popularity and took on a life of its own. Following the players, their hats were tried on by fans, and, as you know, there are almost as many of them in America as the general population.
Since the 1970s baseball caps have been an accessory in their own right, much more popular than simple caps. By the way, some consider these concepts synonymous, while in fact they are usually distinguished. Moreover, the classic baseball cap today already has enough varieties. Didn’t you know? We will tell you about them, and also give advice on what to wear with each one so that fashion is on your side. Go!
Baseball cap and its features
Cap with a hard peak in sports style is a favorite accessory of singers, actors and show business stars. This is how you can briefly describe the most popular headwear these days.
Key features:
- Soft fabric crown that holds its shape thanks to its special cut. The number of wedges depends on the manufacturer, there may be five, or six, or even eight. The most common is the six-panel version, where a drawing or logo flaunts on the two front parts;
- visor is solid because, as a rule, an additional layer is placed between the layers of fabric. On budget models, it is made of fabric or cardboard, on more expensive models it is made of plastic.
It has an oblong shape, and the length varies depending on the fashion. In recent years, it has been important to wear a cap with a curved visor, in the form of a shoulder blade;
- clasp. Did you know that until the 80s, companies produced sizes of all sizes so that everyone could choose an accessory for their head size. And then someone truly ingenious thought of sewing a clasp-regulator to the cap. Since then, this dress has become as versatile as possible. Today, elastic bands, carbines, zips and metal clothespins are used as accessories;
- , the baseball cap also has its own characteristic details (for example, a button at the base of the wedges on the crown, eyelets (holes) for air access, the manufacturer’s name on the inside seams).
The
In addition to the various configurations, the hats differ in design. Tips from the stylist: baseball cap today can be anything, but not plain!
Snapback – become cooler than the stars!
Round shape, straight hard peak across the full width of the front and obligatory fastening at the back. This is a modification that was called “Snapback”, i.e. “rear hold”. AT 9The 0s were literally crazy. As soon as the American star put on a similar thing on his head and appeared in some show, fans swept similar models from store shelves that same evening. Manufacturers kept track of what eminent athletes and musicians wear, because these people literally created fashion every day!
First of all, the fans of rapper and hip-hop culture liked snapbacks. They turned into a cult outfit, by which they distinguished “us” from “them” and established who was the coolest. It was important not only to choose a good cap and outfit in general, but also to wear it correctly. From here came the trend to wear snapback with a visor to the side or back, and the accessory should not fit too tightly on the head so as not to fit, but not to fall off. A bulky visor and baggy oversized clothes gave the outfit a carelessness that, in fact, was thought out to the smallest detail!
Interestingly, in the past decade, the hip-hop cap boom has fallen, but as soon as the two artists released a track called “Snapback Back” and appeared in the video in their old snapbacks, the fashion was revived with a vengeance.
If you inherit the rapper style, free and bright, then don’t forget to replenish your wardrobe with fashionable pieces from the FatLine online store. We offer models for men, women and children, options for any color. To make the cap become a real hit, it is enough to print on it an original print on an individual order. It is a great pleasure for us to come up with new designs and bring them to life together with you.
Trucker cap: take it on the road
You’ve probably seen baseball caps with fine mesh back wedges. But not everyone knows that this is not just such a style, but a separate modification. It has its own name: “tracker” or “trucker baseball cap”. It so happened that representatives of this particular profession acquired a personal accessory. It was too hot for them to drive in the usual thick fabric headgear, so they needed additional ventilation.
The trucker cap is traditionally tall and should not be too tight on the head. Consider this and leave a margin by making preliminary measurements. The visor is firm, but not straight, but slightly curved at the edges in order to better protect the eyes from the sun’s rays. In a word, a tracker is traditionally the best option for a baseball cap for the summer, in which everything is thought out so that the head breathes and is reliably protected from overheating.
FatLine online store recommends buying original trucker caps for the whole family, especially for children if you are going on vacation together. The children’s body heats up faster, babies are much more active than adults, and besides, it is difficult to keep them in the shade all the time. Boys and girls endure heatstroke harder than adults, which means taking care of a good cap on your head is an important task.
Accessory design: stylist’s advice
With a cap you can update almost any style, except for a strict office one. Military caps perfectly complement the outfit in the style of a safari or military. Leather, fur and knitted hats with a visor are suitable for outerwear, jackets, coats and down jackets.
