USL lands Bellevue Univ. as education sponsor
The USL and Bellevue Univ. have inked a multiyear agreement that’ll see the Nebraska-based institution serve as the league’s official education sponsor, the first such deal of its kind for the soccer league. Financial terms weren’t provided. A cornerstone piece to the tie-up is that Bellevue will offer one full scholarship each year to each USL Championship and League One team for a player to earn an undergraduate or graduate-level degree. Tuition assistance will also extend beyond players to team and league employees, as well as family members of players, coaches and staff. In year one, the USL and the USL Black Player’s Alliance will also award a Bellevue scholarship to a nonprofit organization geared toward minority youth.
As part of the deal, Keller said Bellevue will receive broadcast integration across the USL’s national telecasts on ESPN properties and could have on-site activations at league tentpole events, like the USL Championship Final. Custom content opportunities and branding visibility for Bellevue on USL social and digital channels are also elements of the sponsorship.

“This is a massive opportunity across the whole USL ecosystem,” said USL Senior VP/Corporate Partnerships & Development Josh Keller. “A majority of top players are foregoing college and turning pro right out of high school, so they’re not getting that college opportunity to pursue a degree. As we looked at the benefits and the needs that our players will have, having this scholarship or this tuition assistance opportunity was huge.”
Bellevue President Mary Hawkins told SBJ that the deal is part of the school’s “normal modus operandi” of collaborating with sports organizations and corporations and also, a natural tie-in to helping people “fit education into their busy lives” when they can’t necessarily have a residential campus experience.
The introduction between both parties came via Union Omaha, a USL League One club that has had a sponsorship deal with Bellevue since February ’20. Keller led talks for the USL with Hawkins and the school, which brokered the deal in-house. Santa Monica, Calif.-based Premier Partnerships, a sponsorship sales and consulting company and the USL’s exclusive sales agency of record since ’19, advised on the deal.

Comprehensive Medical Support – USL Medical
Education and training
USL Medical continues to invest in developing education and training for those working in the aged and primary care sectors. New initiatives in our education and training offering include:
- Cyclical programme – minimum requirements and attendance by facility, reported on and reviewed
- Tailored training based on individual facility and staff requirements
- Offsite seminars
- Hartmann online e-learning modules
USL offers a number of educational options covering continence management and wound care.
Training modules for continence and wound care are delivered in conjunction with workshops and ensure hands-on interactive activities to encourage attendees to apply their learning on return to their work place.
All modules are completed with an attendance certificate for continuing education hours and an evaluation for feedback from attendees to enable USL Medical to follow an evaluation analysis process to tailor-make training specific to each facility, and ensure we meet the needs of the facility and its staff.
In-servicing is available to provide assistance and learning about product usage and application along with troubleshooting discussions with attendees.
E-learning opportunities
E-learning on the Hartmann website is available for staff to work online towards their professional development hours as they complete each module. Hartmann e-learning offers 50 online courses providing a complete solution for training needs. Self-paced online courses offer convenience of on demand access to education modules which cover continence management and wound care. This enables staff to increase their knowledge levels and keep themselves up to date with clinical education and product training.
Regular education of all staff is essential to ensure products are used correctly and cost-effectively. USL Medical has developed training presentations that support the Dressing Tool Box. (Click off to Resources page) These modules cater for different levels of clinical experience and are pitched and delivered accordingly.
USL Medical is aware of the commitment that healthcare professionals make to their patients every day. Our obligation can be no less rigorous. It is our responsibility to provide training in the use of our agency products to every caregiver in every clinic.
We manage successful training in-services and seminars in the following:
- Continence
- Wound care
- Suturing
- Sterilisation and infection control
Certificates of Attendance are issued to all attendees.
Inventory management systems
USL can provide customers with an inventory management system to assist in the management of stock. The basic framework for these solutions is as follows:
- Managed by Account Manager and Stock Replenishment Team member
- USL Medical sets up an order template with customer
- Ordering based on approved min/max levels
- USL will count, order and replenish stock levels based on min/max requirements
- If required, we can also include a sign off procedure prior to the order being placed with USL Medical
The advantages of this systems are:
- Nurses will spend less time managing stock, in turn allowing them to focus on core activities
- Money is not tied up in redundant stock on shelves
- Order placement is immediate. Delivery is within 24 hours (depending on the time of the placed order)
* Full inventory management systems may not be suitable for all facilities and clinics. USL work with customers to implement a system tailored to their needs.
Web based inventory management solution
Managed by either clinical or administrative staff and the USL Account Manager, this is an option currently under development that will give clinics ownership of their inventory management system:
- USL Medical, in consultation with our customer, sets up a web based template for ordering, whereby the order of products in the template mirrors the layout of the products on the shelf/in storage areas
- Tablets can be used to enter orders while physically in the stock cupboard. This provides the following:
- Immediate cost of the order
- Transaction history
- Order tracking
- Backorder overview
- Ordering templates
- No re-keying of orders at a PC

UK universities are among the most prestigious educational institutions in the world.More than 2 million students come here annually. Such is the magic of the name and the globally recognized quality of British universities.
There are more than 100 universities in the UK, , most of them state-owned.
Traditionally, they are divided according to the time of creation. “Ancient” universities emerged in the 14th and 17th centuries. These are Oxford, Cambridge, the universities of Edinburgh and St. Andrews, Glasgow and Aberdeen. Traditionally, they are the center of concentration of the “golden youth” of England, the British elite.”Red brick” universities got their name from the factory buildings where they were created in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is believed that these universities have strong technical disciplines, mathematics, mechanical engineering. For a long time, these universities in London, Manchester, Birmingham were contrasted with the “old” ones as educational institutions where they provide knowledge that is in demand for life, and not theoretical knowledge. In part, this division is alive to this day: for example, the Times still compiles separate ratings for “Modern Universities”.By analogy with the “red brick” universities that arose after World War II, they were called “glass”. The Department of Prices and Tariffs of the Administration of the Municipal Formation of the city of Krasnodar analyzed the average wholesale and retail prices for food products, automobile fuel, tariffs for housing and utilities, travel in urban public transport, as well as for paid services provided by municipal institutions and enterprises, for the 1st half of 2021.
On an ongoing basis, in order to effectively use budget funds, as well as for the administration of the city of Krasnodar to make operational decisions of a managerial nature, the wholesale and retail prices of the most important types of goods and services operating in the territory of the municipality of the city of Krasnodar are monitored.
According to Rosstat, the consumer price index in Russia in June
2021 compared to the previous month amounted to 100.69% (including for goods – 100.66%, services – 100.76%), compared with December
2020 – 104.19% (including goods – 104.78%, services – 102.63%).
The consumer price index for goods in June 2021 in relation to the month of May amounted to 100.66%, to December 2020 – 104.78%, of which for food products in June 2021 in relation to the previous month – 100.64% , by December 2020 – 105.52%; for non-food products in relation to the previous month – 100.68% and 103.97% to December 2020.
The consumer price index in June 2021 in relation to the corresponding month of 2020 amounted to 106.50%, including for 90,015 goods – 107.48%, of which for food products – 107.90%, for non-food products – 107, 04%.
For services, the consumer price index in June 2021 compared to May amounted to 100.76%, to December 2020 – 102.63%, to June 2020 – 103.95%.
The basic consumer price index, which excludes changes in prices for certain goods that are influenced by factors that are of an administrative and seasonal nature, in June 2021 amounted to 100.75% against the previous month (against December 2020 – 104.13%, against June
2020 – 106.55%).
The consumer price index for goods and services in June of this year in the Krasnodar Territory in relation to May amounted to 101.11%, compared to December 2020 – 105.33% (in March 2020 – 100.08%, compared to December 2019 – 102.65%).
The consumer price index for food products in June this year compared to May amounted to 100.82%, for food products without fruits and vegetables – 100.60%, for non-food products – 100.49%, services – 102.45%.
The consumer price index in the region by December 2020 amounted to 105.33%, including for goods – 105.31%, food products – 107.01%, non-food products – 103.20%, services – 105.45% with the basic consumer price index – 105.20%.
Inflation in the Russian Federation, according to Rosstat, in June 2021 amounted to 0.71% (in May – 0.76% and 0.53% in April), and on an annualized basis it accelerated to 6.50% from 6.02 % at the end of May.
In the Krasnodar Territory, inflation in June 2021 was 5.3% compared to December 2020 and 1.1% compared to May of this year. Since the beginning of the year, prices for food products have grown by 7.0%, for non-food products – by 3.2%, services have become more expensive by 5.5%.
