It provides a safe, confidential space for people to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, leading to improved mental health and better quality of life.
How can counseling benefit different age groups? For preteens and teenagers, counseling can help with issues related to identity, peer pressure, and academic stress. Adults may seek counseling for relationship problems, work-related stress, or to manage mental health conditions like anxiety and depression. Family counseling can improve communication and resolve conflicts within the family unit.
What makes Taylor Cline’s approach unique? Taylor’s diverse range of specialties and treatment approaches allows her to tailor her services to each client’s specific needs. Her expertise in trauma and PTSD, combined with techniques like EMDR, makes her particularly well-suited for clients dealing with past traumatic experiences.

Taylor’s experience in this area allows her to address both aspects simultaneously, providing comprehensive care for clients with complex needs.

How does EMDR contribute to trauma treatment? EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a specialized technique that can help clients process traumatic memories more effectively. By incorporating this approach, Taylor offers an additional tool for clients struggling with the aftermath of traumatic experiences.

How does offering both in-person and online therapy enhance accessibility? The option for online therapy sessions allows Taylor to reach clients who may have difficulty attending in-person appointments due to distance, mobility issues, or other constraints. This flexibility can make regular therapy more feasible for many individuals.
The Value of Community-Focused Care
Why is it important for therapists to be allied with diverse communities? Taylor’s identification as queer allied, sex-positive, and kink allied demonstrates her commitment to providing inclusive, non-judgmental care. This approach can make therapy more comfortable and effective for clients from these communities, who might otherwise feel misunderstood or stigmatized in healthcare settings.
How does this inclusive approach benefit all clients? Even for clients who don’t identify with these specific communities, a therapist’s open and accepting attitude can create a more welcoming and trust-building environment. This can lead to more honest discussions and better therapeutic outcomes.

How can potential clients assess their compatibility with a therapist? While Taylor currently has a waitlist, this can provide an opportunity for potential clients to reflect on their needs and goals for therapy. When contacting her office, individuals might consider asking about her approach to building therapeutic relationships and how she tailors her methods to individual client needs.

Dance with Me
I dedicate this book to my husband Duane. We have been together for twenty years, and all this time I felt his great love and support; he always believed in me. Thank you for always being by my side, always there in difficult times. I love you.
Chapter 1
– I haven’t seen him for a long time.
Velvet Devereaux looked up from the counter she was carefully cleaning.
— Whom? she asked.
– His. Betty Kline, Velvet’s friend and boss, nodded as a tall man in a white cowboy hat appeared at the cafe door.
Once in the room, the man slowly looked around. A second later, he took a seat behind the bar at the far end.
— Who is he? Velvet asked in a whisper.
– Jackson. Betty spoke in an unusually low voice. “I used to go several times a week.
Turning around, Velvet saw Jackson’s long, graceful fingers rip off his headdress in a slow, graceful motion. Careful and even reverent handling of this wardrobe item told her that it was not just a hat – it was a piece of him. Gently brushing off the dust, Jackson placed the precious thing on the chair next to him.
Take a deep breath, Welly. Betty’s voice trembled with barely contained laughter.
“What…?” Velvet squared her shoulders and cleared her throat. — What are you talking about?
– My girl, you are on fire. See, I was right, you have problems with your personal life. Betty walked towards her customers with a satisfied smile. It’s yours, Welly.
Velvet wanted to protest, but changed her mind: whatever she said would only add fuel to the fire. Just this morning, he and Betty were talking about how her life was boring and devoid of bright emotions.
— I had a private life, Betty. I don’t need another.
– It wasn’t that kind of life. You need something better.
— If I don’t have a man, it doesn’t mean that my life is empty, it just lacks chaos and upheavals. Besides, I don’t have time for another life.
— It’s hard to call endless worries about grandmother life.
– You’re wrong. She needs me, which is why I moved here.
– Birdie never needed anyone. She is full of strength and will probably outlive all of us.
Velvet sighed. This was true until her 85-year-old grandmother was admitted to the hospital with a severe flu. It took weeks of hospital stay to recover, and upon her return, the family decided that it was simply impossible to leave her alone. Velvet volunteered to help, although she herself needed rehab after her divorce. Birdie agreed without batting an eyelid.
– Good morning, Jackson! Long time no see,” Betty said, bringing Velvet’s attention back to the tall cowboy. Welly will serve you. She smiled mischievously at first at Jackson, and then at her favorite worker.
Straightening her shoulders, Velvet took her light green notepad and walked towards the client.
– Good morning. She smiled the duty smile she used to greet all visitors. But when the broad-shouldered, handsome man looked up, giving off the blue of a cloudless summer day, Velvet’s knees buckled. The magical brilliance made her heart beat wildly. She held her gaze, involuntarily licked her upper lip, inwardly cursing herself for feeling like a girl in love.
“Good morning,” the cowboy nodded politely.
Velvet took a deep breath and would have managed to recover if not for his smile. Such a smile could well belong to a movie star. It’s not fair, she thought, closing her eyes for a second. Men with such killer smiles should wear “Beware: Smiling breaks hearts” warning signs.
Co-coffee? The rapid beating of her heart nearly drowned out her tremulous voice. She hadn’t felt attracted to a man in a long time, maybe too long.
– Yes, ma’am. He didn’t even look up from the menu.
Velvet was glad that he wasn’t looking at her and she could easily pour coffee into a cup, feeling foolishly proud that she hadn’t spilled a drop on the table.
“Black,” Jackson said.
— What? Her eyes flickered from his beautiful hands to his face.
– Coffee.
