Summer @ AACPS / Summer 2021 Elementary Programming

Prekindergarten Summer Engagement Camp is being offered to current Prekindergarten and ECI students.  The camp will focus on essential foundational literacy and mathematics skills necessary for school readiness. Unfortunately, at this time, registration is closed.

The Pre-K Summer Engagement CAMP will run July 6-July 29, 2021, and kick off is July 12 – 29. Classes meet in-person Monday-Thursday for 4 hours each day.

Virtual Camp Connect is designed for students in grades K-5 to participate in fun and engaging virtual lessons that address social/emotional skills! The virtual lessons will be offered on a variety of topics and will be divided into two age groups: K-2 (up to 10 students in a lesson group) and grades 3-5 (up to 15 students in a lesson group). The lessons will be delivered by AACPS school psychologists and school social workers. Unfortunately, at this time, registration is closed.

The Virtual CAMP Connect will run July 6-July 29, 2021.  Each lesson is 45 minutes and will be offered at 9:00 am, 11:30 am, and 1:00 pm. 

Designed for students currently in Grades K-5 who require additional support in math or language arts; they will engage in learning throughout the month of July in a relaxed, positive setting with interactive, explorative, mindfulness activities in the afternoon. Unfortunately, at this time, registration is closed; however, if you click on the link above, you can place your name on a waitlist. 

The ENGAGE CAMP will run July 6-July 29, 2021. Classes meet in-person Monday-Thursday from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm or Virtually from 8:30 am- 11:30 am.

Designed for students currently in Grades K-5 at schools that receive Title I funding who wish to maintain their reading and math skills throughout the summer in a relaxed, positive setting. Teachers or School Counselors will be reaching out to targeted students and families with invitations.  

The SOAR CAMP will run July 6-July 29, 2021. Classes meet in-person Monday-Thursday from 9:00 am- 3:30 pm.  Invitation Only. 

The Soaring to Success summer intensive program will be offered to identified students in the area of Foundational Literacy Skills (phonics) and Number Sense (number and operations) that are in an identified student group at a school that receives Title I funding.  Teachers or School Counselors will be reaching out to targeted students and families with invitations.  

The Soaring to Success Camp will run July 6-July 29, 2021. Classes meet in-person Monday-Thursday from 9:00 am- 3:30 pm.  Invitation Only. 

Designed for current 3rd and 4th graders (rising 4th and 5th) students identified as gifted and/or advanced by AACPS.  Students will be engaged in literacy and math as well as project-based co-curricular programming Monday-Thursday for two weeks.
