A Dentist Who Really Listens
Dr. Michael Yeh’s Personal Philosophy on Dental Care
“I have now been practicing for over 28 years. A lot has changed over the past 28 years. I see people who have dental problems and when I am finished with their treatments, they are happy. “We change people’s lives.” I listen to what my patients say. The patient and I decide what type of dentistry needs to be done and what is to be done first. I diagnose the patient’s mouth the way I would diagnose my own family. I will tell you everything about your treatment, make my recommendations, give the alternative treatments and then let YOU decide what services you would like performed. You will not feel like any treatment is being “pushed on you”.
I believe that oral health is part of an individual’s overall health that affects a person’s physical appearance, emotional status, mental outlook, well-being, and thus affects your career, social life, self esteem, and quality of life. I believe the oral system is an important part in people’s total health.”

What’s up
The Facebook account of Dmitry Rogozin, the general director of Roscosmos, was blocked for a day.He himself told RIA Novosti about this.
“[I] was banned for a day because my post allegedly violates community norms. The publication itself was hidden. That’s all the “freedom of speech” in the American manner, – said the head of the state corporation.
The resident of Orenburg asked Elon Musk to renovate the school where Gagarin studied. Rogozin did not answer him
Details
The reason for blocking Rogozin was his replies to the posts of former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul. “What if Putin allowed Navalny to run for the presidency? Then we would know [about Navalny’s popularity].But Putin does not want us to know this, ”the diplomat wrote on Twitter. In another tweet, McFaul called for Navalny’s release, accompanying the post with hashtags #FreeNavalny and #FreeNavalnya (now deleted).
All sorts of people, in the U. S. & Russia, are speculating today about Navalny’s popularity. Wouldn’t it be nice to have some data? What if Putin the mighty had allowed @navalny to compete in their last presidential election? Then we’d know. But Putin didn’t want us to know.

The next day, the Queen Victoria left Cape Town and a few hours later lay down on her return course. Sue never regained consciousness. At night, Vivian was on duty next to her bed, in the morning she was replaced by Michael. Vivian had a quick breakfast and returned to her friend’s cabin again. She found Michael deep in thought. He held the girl’s hand and lightly stroked her fingers, and his face was tender and somehow defenseless. He did not notice Vivian right away, but when he noticed, he was not embarrassed and did not remove his hand.
– She’s really bad, Vee. Her pulse quickens, she has chills, and the rash is getting worse.
– Have you had chickenpox yourself?
– Of course, you were sick, don’t you remember? You and I decided to just douse ourselves with brilliant green from head to toe, so as not to smear every pimple.
– Lord, how long has it been. Sue has that too. Poor girl.
– Why poor? It is easier from brilliant green.
– What is it like for a young girl to see in the mirror what she looks like?
– Well, you looked – and nothing.
– I was seven years old, you goof. And then she suffered.
– Yes? Strange, I don’t remember. Look, Vi, her shirt is wet with sweat, she should change her clothes. And rinse with water – the heat will subside.
– I’ll do this without you, Sister Bennet.
– Okay, of course I understand. I’m in the hallway, if anything.
Vivian ushered Michael out into the hallway and turned to the bed. Sue was so small and fragile, no heavier than a child.
Vivian realized her mistake almost immediately. The body of a person lying in oblivion becomes much heavier, and most importantly, this person cannot help you in any way. It just hangs dead weight on you. Vivian barely carried Sue, heavy and hot as fire, to the bathroom door and realized that there was nothing else she could do, especially on the slippery tiles. She almost burst into tears from her own impotence. Well, not Adeline Wimsey to call for help! Proud Lady Milton barely supported her insensitive friend and sniffed, and then broke down and screamed sadly:
– Michael!
The door nearly flew off its hinges when Michael Bennett burst in.
– What, Vivian, what happened ?!
– Nothing so far, but it will happen now. I’ll drop it …
– Give here, armless. Who wears like that in his arms … This is how it should be … be careful … quietly, Sue, little bird, quietly … now it will be easier …
Vivian stared in quiet amazement at the indomitable devil Michael.Even a professional nurse could not have acted more gently and tactfully. Vivian could only help the young man. A quarter of an hour later, clean and disguised, Sue lay on fresh sheets. The temperature really subsided a little, but the rash spread all over the body, and the girl was already beginning to unconsciously scratch her skin. Once again Michael took the lead while Vivian watched and learned. He prepared a soda solution, flew in a whirlwind to the doctor for brilliant green and gauze napkins, he carefully held Sue’s hands and kept talking, saying something quiet and gentle to her … From soda, from brilliant green, or from his quiet voice, but Sue calmed down and soon slept soundly. It was no longer a faint, no fever, just a deep sleep of a recovering person. However, it was still far from recovery.
Vivian returned to her cabin, taking from Michael a promise that he would wake her up in the evening. Falling asleep, she smiled.
So a hornet’s nest instead of a tongue? Yeah. Who would have thought. Devil Mike as a caring nurse. It’s unthinkable.
Sue began to think something only at the end of the fifth day of her illness. The heat receded, the crimson abyss disappeared into darkness, there was no more cold, and consciousness decided to quietly return. At first, Sue did not open her eyes, because they itched, and her head ached, and she just listened. The world around was quiet, but by no means deserted. Whispers, individual words, phrases.
Then the sensations returned. She was turned over, taken out from under the blanket, put on disgustingly cool (fortunately, quickly warmed up) sheets, worn, doused with water (this was best), tickled all over her body with strange stroking movements.
There were smells. Sharp and invigorating alcohol. Spirits Vivian (who is Vivian, Sue did not immediately remember).Very fresh and for some reason familiar scent of men’s eau de toilette, and maybe cologne. The smell of cigars and old whiskey (beautiful, despite everything, soothing and soothing, thanks to Sir Egbert).
There was a whole complex of sensations, it did not appear often, but it covered the entire space around Sue: the crunch of starchy fabric, the smell of alcohol, carbolic acid and good cologne, cold, dry and strong fingers, a quiet, confident baritone. Sue knew at once that it was a doctor.
There were also unpleasant sensations, they made me want to cry, but then out of nowhere came warm and tender hands, very strong and hard to the touch, and the unpleasant sensations passed.
Then day came, and Sue Yorke decided to open her eyes. The first thing she saw in front of her were huge brown eyes filled with cheerful horror, a broken nose and bluish stubble on high cheekbones. Sue closed her eyes in indignation. Michael Bennett runs with the Masai! He couldn’t be here, and she’d had enough hallucinations.
However, Michael Bennett did not disappear, on the contrary, he spoke to her, and so gently and carefully that Sue again suspected something was wrong and again opened her eyes. Now Michael was joined by Vivian, very young, not made up and kind of disheveled. For some reason she was crying, so she spoke indistinctly, and Sue turned away tiredly. Well, in fact, they torture a sick person, cry for some reason, don’t really say anything … Sue fell asleep again, and it turned out that she woke up a day later.
She lay and carefully examined the room. Now her memory returned to her, and she even recalled the diamond museum and her own swoon. I wonder how long did it last?
Sue turned awkwardly and Vivian appeared at the bedside.
– Wee … oh, help me get up …
– What are you, Sue, lie down!
– I can’t lie, I’m about to burst. I have to go to the toilet.
V dubiously looked at the door, but then she made up her mind and threw back the blanket, holding out her hand to Sue.
Paul rushed at the girl with the fury of a wounded buffalo, but Vivian held her back. The road to the coveted toilet took forever, but then it felt better, and Sue even got to bed on her own. True, along the wall.
– Oh, Vi, what’s wrong with me … you had to fall down like that … And what time is it?
– It is morning. Six o’clock.
– Morning? So have I been lying since yesterday?
Tears sparkled in Vivian’s eyes for unknown reasons.
– Sue … you are my stupid girl … You’ve been lying unconscious for a whole week! Today is the seventh day of your illness.
Sue looked at her friend and couldn’t believe her ears. Then she turned her gaze to the bathroom door.
– But what about me … Vee, don’t scare me.
– We carried you in our arms. And they washed, and watered, and combed their hair. You know, he’s such a good fellow! I just didn’t expect it …
– Julian?
– What Julian! Michael. Michael Bennett.
Sue closed her eyes.Better to die. Michael Bennett carried her to the toilet. Helped wash her. I combed my hair.
I wonder if she looks like a ghost or not?
At that moment, a familiar voice came from the corridor:
– How sick? I bring juice and fruit …
– Vee! Don’t let him in! Give me a mirror!
– Sue, I don’t have …
– Vivian, if you don’t give me a mirror, then I’ll get sick back!
Vivian sighed and reluctantly reached into the nightstand. At that moment, Michael’s cheerful face appeared in the doorway. Now he was clean-shaven and beaming with joy. Sue smiled faintly … then grabbed the mirror … looked into it.
A second later, Susan’s scream shook the bedroom ceiling. Michael watched in amazement as the patient pulled the covers over her head and sobbed desperately, while Vivian grimly picked up the broken mirror from the floor.
– What’s wrong with her, Vee?
– Nothing. She looked in the mirror, and here you are.
– What is it? I see her every day.
– But she doesn’t know that. And I didn’t know how you decorated it either.
– I just painted over the areas. To please Sir Egbert. He loves chess …
– Michael Bennett! I hate you!
– Sue, I’m sorry.
– No way. Get out of here.
– Sue …
– Go away!
Michael sighed and went to the door. Suddenly, crying, green, disheveled Sue emerged from under the covers.
– MICHAEL !!!
The young man shuddered and turned around.Sue studied his face suspiciously, but the bully Bennett’s gaze was only anxiety and… and… and something else. Something very nice and pleasant. No mockery. No disgust. No indifference.
– Come here.
– Will you beat?
– Come here!
– I’m going, just don’t hit.
He cautiously approached the bed, and then Sue threw herself on his neck and froze on his chest. Michael gently stroked her regrown and disheveled hair, her thin back with sadly protruding shoulder blades, trembling shoulders, gently pressed her to him, for the first time in his life he was afraid of his own strength and his own body.Vivian tiptoed out of the room and closed the door behind her, but Michael didn’t even notice. He listened to Sue’s desperate whispers.
– So it was you … I knew. That is, I didn’t know, but I felt it. I felt your hands. It’s not scary with you. It doesn’t hurt. So it was you! Didn’t you leave?
– No, bird.
– What about the Masai?
– They ran away without me. I’ll catch them on the second lap.
– Are you leaving again? And I?
– Where can I go from you, bird? Let’s run together.
– Together? For the Masai? OK. Just do not leave.
– I’m not leaving. Sleep. Your temperature has jumped again.
– Michael, am I very nasty unconscious?
– You are better than anyone I have seen. So … dead, dead!
– Oh Lord, what is it … then I felt sick, then fell, then died …
– Nothing, but now you are a real Sea Princess. Green like that. You were the best sick, too.
– Stop it! How can I be now. When will it come down?
– Well … in a week.Sun, air, deck walks. Sir Egbert can’t wait.
– I will not go on deck like this.
– View as species. You have to get in shape. For me, at least all your life you have been walking like this …
– And Julian ?!
Michael carefully tore Sue’s thin fingers away from him and gently laid her on the pillow. His face was perfect, but his eyes burned with a gloomy fire.
– Sleep, Sue. You need to get well, or you won’t see any Julian.
Sue smiled at Michael and fell asleep as a baby. The young man sat for a while by her bed, then got up and went to the window. His fists were clenched convulsively, blood flowed from his bitten lip.
In the evening, Michael sat in the bar with Vivian and listened to her gloomily, continually pouring whiskey into his glass. Sue remained under the supervision of Sir Egbert and most likely at the moment was learning the basics of chess science.
– Michael, don’t act like a tramp.
– Don’t teach me, Mommy V. I grew up.
– I have not made my mind. You have already drunk half a bottle.
– So what? I’ll get drunk and sleep.
– What if Sue gets worse?
– She’s on the mend. I’m not needed anymore. Now let the baby spin. He needs to forgive his sins.
– Stop it! Julian has nothing to do with it.
– That’s what you think, V. And she loves him.
– You cannot love him.
– I think so too. Your health. But she loves him.
– Michael, she’s just a little fool who …
– Vivian, stop. She is twenty-three years old, and she is extremely smart, as well as beautiful, witty, independent, charming … oh shit, I’ll go and strangle the baby now.
– Michael! Are you in love?
– No. I love her. And she loves Julian. Why so, Vi, why …
– Be patient. Although what I’m talking about. You never knew how to do that. Everything at once. Try to understand her feelings.
– Vi, if I were in her place, I would love me, not him! He left her, he was afraid to approach her while she was lying on the ground, alone, small, all in the heat … He never came close to the cabin, never even asked about her – and she immediately woke up: “Where Julian? What will Julian say? How will I show myself to Julian? ” And I’m like that, by the side …
– Michael, you must understand … This is difficult for a girl. You have become for her something like a brother, a relative, do you understand? She trusts you, is grateful to you, and she has different feelings for Julian. Romantic. You can’t have romantic feelings for a person who smears you with brilliant green and helps you get to the toilet!
– You’d think that the baby doll never goes to the toilet, fucking elf! Your health!
– Stop it. Nothing wrong with that. She can’t always look at this golden-haired ram through rose-colored glasses. You will return home, sort out your problems, come to her …
– Yeah, and it turns out that she is already Mrs. Fowles!
Vivian looked at Michael enigmatically and raised her glass, still intact.
– Don’t worry about that. This will never happen. Your health!
Another week later, Sue got out into the light. Passengers greeted her with applause and joyful exclamations, Lady Wimsey tried to kiss, but was forced to retreat under the mocking gaze of the watchful Vivian Milton, while Julian presented the recovered a huge bouquet of flowers. Sue, thin and pale, but already got rid of traces of greenery, blushed and kissed Julian on the cheek. Vivian looked back at the strange crackling sound. The fire stand is hung on one nail after someone’s terrible blow. Vivian shook her head grimly.
Michael is missing. He didn’t go out on deck, didn’t go to Sue’s, had dinner later than everyone else, and hurriedly went downstairs. Sue was worried at first, and then decided to take offense, but she did not last long. Health and vigor returned to her every day, and a stormy temperament took its toll. She missed Michael and could not understand what caused this behavior of the swarthy bully.
There was one weak point in Michael’s position. While Sue was ill, he moved to a first class cabin in the next hallway. Sue decided to set up an ambush. Julian followed her tail, but she had learned long ago that there are things that Julian avoids. This included playing solitaire, so Sue chose a suitable evening and, in an innocent voice, invited Julian to while away him while playing Marie Antoinette’s solitaire. The dignified secretary grimaced, then hastily expressed regret and explained that it was today that he had to sort through Sir Egbert’s mail.Having removed the blond gentleman from the path, Sue crept into the corridor where Michael’s cabin was located, hid in the service room and waited.
She almost fell asleep, her legs and back ached, but she stubbornly waited, for which she was rewarded at twelve o’clock. Michael came in gloomy, slightly unshaven and especially looking like a bully and a bandit. He slowly unlocked the door, stood on the threshold, looking towards the other corridor, where Sue’s cabin was located, and then turned and slowly walked into his room.
The door was still closing when Sue Yorke darted out of her hideout with lightning and squeezed into a narrow crack.
– I caught you!
– What do you want, heiress of Yorks? I want to sleep.
– Why are you missing? I haven’t seen you in over a week. Only from afar.
– Now you see it up close. Have you seen enough? Get out.
– You promised you wouldn’t leave!
– I’m not leaving. There’s nowhere to go. The ocean is all around. In a way, I’m always there.
– Michael Bennett, do you know who you are?
– I know.Corrupt type. How is the baby doll?
– Why do you need it? It’s not about him.
– Sue, I’m tired. I’ve been playing cards and drinking bad whiskey all day. I have a headache and have no desire to talk. Go play with Julian.
She took a step back and pressed her back against the door. The girl’s lips trembled, angry tears boiled in her eyes.
– Bennett, you promised that you would not let anyone offend me. You promised that you would always be there. He promised that you would not leave me. Did you lie?
– No.Not all. I didn’t leave. I’m in the next hallway. And I won’t let anyone hurt you. Are you satisfied? Goodnight.
With that, Michael Bennett unceremoniously turned Sue around and pushed her out into the hallway, hastily locking the door behind her. She pounded on the door with her fists, but there was silence inside. Sue kicked the door, hurt her leg, hissed with rage, and went to her room.
She did not know that a tall, dark-skinned guy with a broken nose was kneeling outside the door and howling soundlessly, stroking the door with her hands, which she had just kicked and kicked.
A thirst for revenge burned in the heart of Sue York. Michael Bennett will see that she doesn’t give a damn about him!
The captain’s proposal to arrange a ball on the occasion of his return, albeit early, to his homeland, came very opportunely. Sue enthusiastically set about organizing the party, and Vivian increasingly looked at the girl with anxious thoughtfulness. Vivian already knew what revenge was and how blind it can be!
Sir Egbert has finally entered the role of a good grandfather. He grumbled at Sue, played chess with her more often than with the senior assistant, even began to treat Julian softer, seeing how he courted the girl. However, this softness was very relative …
– Lady Milton, happy to report that our little girl is completely recovered.
– You are right, Sir Egbert. And yet she worries me.
– Because of my idiotic? Don’t worry, dear Vivian. Juliana, even in the nineteenth century, could have been released with young girls into the dark forest. Absolutely harmless.
– Something he zealously took to look after . ..
– I’ll tell you why. Remember how Sue gave out the story of the supposedly Yorkshire heirloom? About a diamond given to daughters of Yorkies, born of daughters, and something else like that? By the way, the idea is great. You can always blame the lack of a diamond on genealogical confusion. So, my blond moron must have dreamed of laying his paw on this jewel. He has a soft spot for diamonds and titles, in that order.
– Sir Egbert, Julian is unclean ?!
– What are you doing! This requires some kind of character, willpower, mind, finally. My secretary is in love with diamonds ardently and passionately, but quite platonically, which does not prevent him from dreaming of a legal marriage with our girl, with which he will satisfy his second passion – for titles …
– Sir Egbert! Have you forgotten?
– Forgot nothing.I remember everything. But I save it as a last resort. To whom is it bad? The girl is looked after, she blooms from this. Julian is learning to love people – you see, it comes in handy. If it goes too far, we’ll jump out of the bushes. Clap! And the girl is saved. Everything is thought out, dear Vivian.
Lady Milton shook her head in displeasure.
– I’m not at all sure about that, Sir Egbert. What if Sue really falls in love with him? It will be a blow to her.
Sir Egbert looked condescendingly at the young woman.
– Lady Milton, you are the smartest woman in England, but for now, excuse me, bullshit. With Julian, you can do a lot of interesting exercises. You can yell at him, make him work, you can even make him play the solitaire games he hates. You can’t do only one thing with him. Love him. Do you love cherubs in the paintings of the old masters? They give you aesthetic pleasure, perhaps even arouse certain feelings in you, but you cannot love them. No no and one more time no! Sue is completely safe.
A festive evening has come. Sue, with a determined and somewhat angry look, summoned Vivian to her and demanded that she turn her into a beauty.
– I have to be beautiful, you know? Such that no one, no one in the world would even think to expel me from the cabin!
– What about?
– Nothing. This is me. For hyperbole. Vivian please! I have to kill everyone today. Look at the dress and start.
Vivian gazed thoughtfully at the golden brocade and light silk of the same shade.A weightless butterfly with golden wings, crouched on the shoulder. A light shawl, as if woven from golden moonlight. She looked at the almost invisible gold sandals, one of Sue’s few expensive purchases before leaving. On a gold bracelet with topaz, on a thin chain. Sue herself, disheveled, skinny, pretty and angry.
An image was gradually forming in Vivian’s head. She slowly opened her weighty cosmetic bag, tenderly, almost tenderly ran her hand over the golden and matte cases, boxes and tubes, then imperiously pointed Sue to the stool.
90,000 Dmitry Rogozin banned from Facebook for a skirmish with McFaul
Facebook blocked Dmitry Rogozin’s account after his comment on the publication of the former US Ambassador to Russia Mike McFaul. The head of Roscosmos told RIA Novosti about this.
My account was banned for a day because my post allegedly violates community norms. The publication itself was hidden. Here you have all the “freedom of speech” in the American manner.
It all started when McFaul, having decided yesterday to support protesters in Russia on Twitter, inserted the tags FreeNavalny and FreeNavalnya into his tweet.Obviously, he meant the oppositionist Alexei Navalny and his wife Yulia. But Rogozin considered the last tag an insult:
Free Navalny !? Is this the new name of my country? Michael, you’re just a moron, sorry for my French https://t.co/jKboymWm5x
– ROGOZIN (@Rogozin) January 23, 2021
The head of Roscosmos continued his indignation with a post on Facebook:
Previously, the Anglo-Saxons wanted to turn us into a banana republic, they called us a “gas station”, now they offer to name their idol and agent. Hmm. Let me tell you, Michael, as an ambassador to the ambassador, you, gentlemen, Americans, are completely boozy. Don’t make teachers out of yourself, they’ve made such a mess for the whole world.
After that McFaul complained about the attacks on social networks:
The explosion of rude threatening comments from Russian trolls, as well as harsh reactions from some Russian officials in my feed today is something remarkable and new. Are Putin and his associates nervous?
This situation served as a ban on Dmitry Rogozin’s account for a day.He had to leave further comments on what was happening on other sites, in particular, Telegram. As reported by TASS, on January 11, he had his own channel in Pavel Durov’s messenger, which is still marked as unofficial. The head of Roskomos confirmed to the agency that this is his channel:
We are useful and decent citizens, and therefore we begin to actively read Telegram and write in it.
Some time later, Rogozin said that Facebook unblocked his post criticizing McFaul, but did not remove restrictions on the publication of new messages.
90,000 Interview with Oprah Winfrey
Oprah : Ladies and Gentlemen, Michael Jackson.
(Michael Jackson enters the living room of his house. They shake hands and Michael kisses Oprah on the cheek)
Oprah : How nervous are you?
Michael: How is it?
Oprah : How nervous are you right now?
Michael: : I’m not really nervous at all.
Oprah : Really?
Michael: : No, I’m never nervous.
Oprah : Even during your first live interview and around the world? I thought that you would at least
be a little nervous, but if not, great, because if you’re not nervous, I won’t either. I just
I want to let the world know that when we agreed to do this interview, you said that you would talk to me
about everything.
Michael: : That’s right.
Oprah : That’s right. When we showed you in the video of your early years, it caused
do you have memories?
Michael: : It made me laugh because I haven’t seen this tape in a long time.Did it return
memories? Yes, about me and my brothers whom I love dearly, this is a wonderful moment for me.
Oprah : I saw you laughing when I saw yourself singing “Baby, Baby, Baby.”
Michael: : Yeah, I think James Brown is a genius, you know, back when he was with the Famous Flames he was incredible. I used to watch it on TV, and I was angry with the cameraman, because whenever he
started to really dance, they gave a close-up, and I could not see his legs.I screamed
“Show him, show him” so I can observe and learn.
Oprah : Was he a mentor for you?
Michael: : Yes, he was phenomenal.
Oprah : Who else?
Michael: : Jackie Wilson, who I adore as an artist, and of course Motown music. “The Bee Gees”, they
shiny. I only loved great music.
Oprah : I think so I saw every part
video made by you, and watching those tapes, especially in earlier years, you
became so alive, going on stage. Were you really happy on stage as you seem?
Michael: Well, on stage I was at home. I was very comfortable on stage, but as soon as I left I was very sad.
Oprah : Really?
Michael: : Yes.
Oprah : Where does this sadness come from?
Michael: : Loneliness, sadness, the need to be popular and all that. There have been times when I
spent time with my brothers, we fought with pillows and things, but still, I always cried from loneliness.
Oprah : At what age did it start?
Michael: : Oh, very early, eight, nine years old.
Oprah : When did you all first become famous?
Michael: : Yes.
Oprah : So actually what seemed to the rest of the world was not real . .. I remember I was little
black girl who wanted to marry Jackie Jackson, your brother, all of us
thought that such a life is the most wonderful thing in the world, who would not want such a life?
Michael: : It was great, there is a lot of greatness in the fame. That is, you are traveling
around the world, you meet people, you visit different places, that’s great. But there’s another side I’m on too
not complaining. There are many rehearsals, you need to give this a lot of time, give all your best.
Oprah : You know … I spoke to Susan Pass the other day, she worked with you in Motown, she
looked after all of you, she found the equipment for the Ed Sullivan show. We talked about
have you really lost something in your life, yes or no?
Michael: : I really only realized that now.I worked with a tutor for three hours, then I went to the recording studio
and recorded for hours until it was time to go to bed. And I can’t forget the park that I walked through on the road
in the studio, I saw children playing there, and cried because I was so sad that I had to work
instead of playing with them.
Oprah : I want to show you some footage of you a little boy.
Michael: : OK.
Oprah : Susan said you dorgo paid for your fame.I want to know how much you would value the loss of childhood and this
Lifestyle?
Michael: : You see, I didn’t have things that other kids always have, you know, have friends, go to
parties. None of this was for me. I didn’t have friends when I was little. My
the brothers were my friends.
Oprah : I remember talking to myself,
played with my dolls … and I think that every child needs a place where he can hide, in his
the world of the child, the imagination of the child. Was there a time when you could do this?
Michael: : No. And I think that’s why, because I didn’t have it then, now I’m trying to compensate for it.
People are wondering why there are always children around me. This is because in them I find what I have never
had at their age, you know, Disneyland, amusement parks, games, galleries. I adore it all because when I was
small, I always worked, worked, worked, from one concert to the next, if it was not a concert, then the studio
a record, if not her, then a TV show, or an interview, or a session. You always had to do something.
Oprah : You know Smokey Robinson said about you and a lot of other people that you kind of have an old soul in a little
body.
Michael: : I’ve heard this that all the time I was little. I was often called 45 years old
dwarf, wherever I have been, I have heard it now and then, wherever I have been … just the same, some
people ask when I started singing, did I know how good it was? And I say that I never thought about
this, I just sang, and it worked.I never thought about it seriously.
Oprah : So Michael Jackson, you had so many hits, four in a row, and you cried,
because you couldn’t be like other kids.
Michael: : Well, I loved show business, and I still love show business, but there were times when I wanted to play and
have fun, and then I was sad. I remember once we were preparing to go to South America, all
it was packed and loaded, everything was ready, but I hid, I cried, because I didn’t want to go.I AM
wanted to play. I didn’t want to go.
Oprah : Were your brothers jealous of you when you started getting all the attention?
Michael: : No, as far as I know, no.
Oprah : Have you ever felt jealousy?
Michael: : Oh let me think – no. No, I think they were always happy for me, what I did,
but I never felt jealous of them.
Oprah : Do you think they’re jealous of you now?
Michael: : I don’t think so.I don’t think so, no.
Oprah : No. What is your relationship with your family now? Are you still close?
Michael: : I really love my family. I wish I could see them a little more often than I can.
But we understand that we are a show business family, and we all work. We have a family day when we are all
going, we pick somebody’s house, it could be Jermaine’s house, or Marlon’s house, or Tito’s house, and
we come there together, we love each other and talk about who does what and. …
Oprah : Weren’t you all upset about LaToya and her book and the things she said about your family?
Michael: : Well, I haven’t read LaToya’s book. I only know that I love my sister dearly, I love LaToya, and always
I will love, and I always see her as a happy, loving LaToyu, with whom we grew up together. So i can’t
fully answer this question.
Oprah : Do you feel that some of the things she said are true?
Michael: : I can’t answer Oprah, I honestly haven’t read the book.It’s true.
Oprah : Okay, let’s get back to how you grew up and how you felt about it. I believe,
that it is painful when there was no one to play with except with my brother. Have you ever had a friendly company?
Michael: : Never.
Oprah : You were such a cute little boy that everyone was beating
on the cheek, and they said how cute you are, but after all, everyone goes through the stage when he becomes a clumsy teenager,
so when you started growing up as a superstar kid, growing up must have been especially difficult
time for you
Michael: : Very. Very, very difficult, yes. I think every star child suffers during this period,
because you are no longer the cute and adorable baby that you were. You start to grow up, and they want
keep you small forever.
Oprah : Who are they?
Michael: : Audience. But nature takes its toll.
Oprah : So what?
Michael: : Yes, and I had acne, so terrible, it made me very shy, I couldn’t look at myself, I
hid my face in the dark, I didn’t want to look in the mirror, and my father teased me, and I hated it so much, and I cried
everyday.
Oprah : Did your father tease you about acne?
Michael: : Yes, and told me I was ugly.
Oprah : Did your father say that?
Michael: : Yes, I did. Sorry, Joseph.
Oprah : What’s your relationship with him?
Michael: : I love my father, but I don’t know him.
Oprah : Are you mad at him about that? I think this is pretty cruel.
Michael: : Am I mad at him?
Oprah : Because adolescence is hard enough without a parent telling you you’re ugly.
Michael: : Am I angry? Sometimes I get angry. I do not know him the way I would like to know. I have
wonderful mother. For me, she is perfect. I only wish I could understand my father.
Oprah : So let’s talk about those teenage years. What started happening inside you? Since it is obvious
you haven’t spoken to the world for 14 years. So you became a hermit. Was it supposed to protect you?
Michael: : I felt like I had nothing to say, and they were very sad, sad
years for me.
Oprah : Why so sad? After all, you performed on stage, you received your Grammys. Why is it so sad?
Michael: : Oh, there was a lot of sadness in my past and youth because of my dad and all those things.
Oprah : So he teased you, made fun of you ?….
Michael: : Yes.
Oprah : Did he … did he ever hit you?
Michael: : Yes.
Oprah : And why did he beat you?
Michael: : He wanted me … I just guess I don’t know if I was his favorite child
or something … Some might call it strict discipline or something, but he was very strict, very
heavy, very strict. Even his gaze was frightening.
Oprah : And you were afraid of him?
Michael: : Very. There were times when he came to see me, and I felt bad, I started to vomit.
Oprah : When were you a child or an adult?
Michael: : Then and then. He never heard me say that. Sorry, please don’t be mad at me.
Oprah : Well, I believe that everyone should take responsibility for what they have done in life. AND
your father too.
Michael: : But I love him.
Oprah : Yes, I understand that.
Michael: : And I forgive.
Oprah : But can you really forgive?
Michael: : I forgive. There is so much rubbish and junk that has been written about me, and there are a few things I would like to talk about. The press came up with so many … God … terrible, terrible
stories that made me realize that when you hear lies often, you start to believe it.
*****
Oprah : Hmm, before we cut off, we talked about rumors.First of all, I was in this house
during preparation, and I was everywhere (when you did not see), looking for that oxygen chamber, but nowhere in the house am I
I didn’t find her.
Michael: : This story is so crazy, this is one of those tabloid stuff, this is
artifice.
Oprah : Okay, but you were there in something, is there a photo where you are lying in something? Where is she from?
Michael: : That … I was doing an ad for Pepsi and I got horrible burns. We agreed to settle this in one
million dollars and I gave all the money to build Michael’s Burn Center
Jackson, and this (in the photo) is part of the technology used to treat burns, so I looked at the equipment
and decided to climb inside and see how it was there, and someone took a picture when it was developed, a person,
who did it, said, “Oh, Michael Jackson!”, he made a copy and these photos were spread all over
the world with these lies stuck to them. It is a lie, why do people buy these newspapers? It is not true,
and I have to say it.Don’t judge a person if you haven’t talked to them one-on-one. Although everything to me
equal, but do not judge by these stories, because it is a lie.
Oprah : You’re right, this story went around the world.
Michael: : This is crazy! Why would I want to sleep in a cell? (Laughs)
Oprah : Well, there was a rumor that you slept in a cell because you didn’t want to get old.
Michael: : This is stupid. This is silly. This is completely fiction. I would like to forgive the press, forgive
anyone, I have been taught to love and forgive, this is my heart, but please do not believe these crazy,
scary things.
Oprah : You bought the bones of the Elephant Man, you tried to get them for …
Michael: : No, that’s another silly story. I love the story about the Elephant Man, he reminds me of himself, much
concerned me too, it made me cry, because I saw myself in this story, but I never
bought them . .. but where would I do these bones?
Oprah : I don’t know.
Michael: : And why do I need his bones?
Oprah : I don’t know.So where did it come from?
Michael: : Someone came up with this and everyone believes. If you hear lies often enough, you believe it.
Oprah : Yes, and people make money selling tabloid newspapers.
Michael: : Yes.
Oprah : Okay. There was a story recently, I know that one of your attorneys even held a press conference about this,
there was a story about you, like you wanted a white kid to play you in a Pepsi ad.
Michael: : This is so stupid. This is the funniest story I’ve ever heard. This is crazy. Why, in
first, if the ad should have my baby face, when I was small, why would I want to
white baby playing me? I’m a black American, I’m proud to be a black American, I’m proud of my
race. I am proud of who I am. I have pride and self-esteem. It’s like you wanted to be in
childhood played by the Japanese. It makes sense?
Oprah : No.
Michael: : So please people stop believing these scary stories.
Oprah : Okay, let’s get to the thing that has been talked about the most about you, your skin color. After all
it is obviously different from the one you had at a younger age, and I think this has spawned a lot
assumptions and contradictions about what you have done or are doing. You whiten your skin and
is your skin lighter because you don’t like being black?
Michael: : First of all, I don’t know such a thing as skin bleach, I’ve never seen it, and I don’t know what it is.
Oprah : Well, they usually talk about this kind of thing, I’ve heard all my life that you have to use bleach for
light things, but you would need about 300,000 gallons.
Michael: : Well, first of all, it happened. I have a skin disease that destroys pigmentation, this is
which I cannot change. OK. But when people come up with stories that I don’t want to be who I am is
hurts me.
Oprah : So this is…
Michael: : This is a problem for me that I cannot control, but what about the millions of people who
sit out in the sun to become darker, to become different, not as they are, because no one says anything
about it.
Oprah : So when did it start, when did your … when did your skin color start to change?
Michael: : Oh, I didn’t … somewhere after “Thriller”, around “Off the Wall”, “Thriller”, somewhere then.
Oprah : But what did you think about that?
Michael: : It’s hereditary, my father said it was on his part.I cannot control this, I
I don’t understand, it’s very sad. I do not want to go into my medical history because
that’s personal, but that’s the situation.
Oprah : Okay, I just want to clarify, you don’t take anything to change your skin color . ..
Michael: : Oh God no! We try to smooth it out with cosmetics, because it leaves
spots on my skin, I have to do something. But you know, it’s funny why this is so important? It doesn’t matter to
me.I am a big art lover, I love Michelangelo, if I could talk to him
or read about him, I would like to know what inspired him to become who he is, his anatomy
skill, not who he walked with last night … what’s wrong with that … I mean it’s what
it is important for me.
Oprah : How many plastic surgeries have you done?
Michael: : Very, very little. That is, you can count on two fingers, but if you want
to know about this, all the curious people in the world, read my book Moonwalk, it is in my book. You know if
if all the people in Hollywood who underwent plastic surgery went on vacation, there would be no more
not a single person.
Oprah : Mmm …. I think you might be right.
Michael: : I think I’m right. It would be empty there.
Oprah : Did you start plastic surgery because of those early years when you looked bad?
Michael: : No, not really. There were only two of them. Indeed, read my book, it’s not such a big deal.
Oprah : You wont tell me what it is? You made a nose, it’s obvious.
Michael: : Yes, but a lot of people I know have done this.
Oprah : So when you hear all these things about you, there is a lot …
Michael: : I never did my cheekbones, never did my eyes, never did my lips and stuff like that.
They went too far, but this happens every day to other people.
Oprah : Are you satisfied with how you look now?
Michael: : I’m never happy with anything, I’m a discerning person, that’s part of my character.
Oprah : And when you look in the mirror now and see the image there, are there days when you talk
“I look pretty good today” or “I like my hair . ..”
Michael: : No, I’m never happy with myself. No, I try not to look in the mirror.
Oprah : I have to ask you this since many mothers in my audience have asked me to ask you
this question. Why do you always grab your crotch?
Michael: : (Laughter) Why am I grabbing my crotch?
Oprah : Well yeah, you do it.
Michael: : I think it happens subconsciously. When you dance, you only interpret
music, sounds and accompaniment, you become the instrument that plays, you are moved by the emotions of these
sounds, and if I do this movement, and grab myself like this -…, it’s only music that makes me
do it, it doesn’t mean that I’m getting ready to grab it in a certain place, you don’t think about it, it’s
it just happens, sometimes I look at myself on film and I can’t believe that I did this … so I’m a slave
rhythm, yes, ok.

With a computer science degree in his pocket, an impressive career in SEO and a strong focus on music, Michael has a very clear understanding of today’s digital marketing industry. He is involved in many projects and is living proof that success is not accidental. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, learning, sacrifice and, above all, love for what you do or learn.
Razvan : Hello everyone, this is Razvan from Cognitive SEO and today we have Mike King from iPullRank. Mike is the founder and managing director of iPullRank, an agency that specializes in results marketing. He advises companies around the world, including brands such as SAP, American Express, HSBC, as well as up-and-coming startups and small businesses. Also, I’ll let Michael introduce himself.
Michael : Hello everyone! I am Mike King and I am very happy to be here. I have nothing more to add to this fantastic introduction.
When did you start SEO? Was this your first career or did you have a different career before doing SEO?
Michael : I started SEO in 2006 and worked more on development. I went to computer science school and did several internships to become a software engineer. But then I decided I wanted to make music instead, and did that for eight years between school and SEO.
As a musician, I learned a lot about marketing and kind of set me up for search engine optimization. Once I did that, that’s exactly what happened. I had an accident and needed to get a job because I didn’t have health insurance to hire me as an SEO agency due to my development experience.
What intrigues you most about digital marketing?
Michael : I love the idea that we have the ability to really influence how people think about things. This isn’t just an advertisement, it’s also the idea that we can put the right thing in front of the right user at the right time, and then effectively measure it to see if it actually does what we expected. I think this is a really compelling piece of measurement, and also just an opportunity to really target exactly who we are trying to get.
How did you come to colloquial speech? Was this at the same time as your digital marketing career or did you have any prior experience?
Michael : I’ve performed before, but in a completely different context. It was always like me as a rapper who would come to talk about hip-hop topics or talk to troubled kids and the like. I have always felt comfortable talking because it is very similar to a performance. But in terms of getting involved in marketing and speaking with it, I just started blogging on Moz. Then I went to MozCon. Then I got really inspired by some of the speakers, I thought I could probably do that too, so I decided to speak at SMX East. Some people saw me and thought I was pretty good. It just created a snowball effect when I was constantly invited to events, and here we are.
Are you doing SEO on your own or are you mainly running a company?
Michael : It’s a combination. There are times when I work on projects directly, and there are times when the team takes full responsibility for it. It all depends on the campaign and needs. There are things in which my team is much better than me, and in these cases I definitely trust them. But there are also situations where I am an expert on a given topic, and therefore I am the one who works on it. It all depends on what the engagement is. As we grow, I hope to get to the point where I can be more at a strategic level, instead of digging through the leaves the same way I do.
When you transitioned from programmer to SEO, did you try to use your programming experience from an SEO perspective to help you implement better and different strategies?
Michael : That’s right.I think it was pretty much in terms of analysis. In the beginning, there was a lot in space. When I say early, I mean 5-10 years ago, when there were simply no tools for this. I am clearly a cognitive SEO user because I believe in it, I think it is a great tool, but before it came around I created my own version of it. There was nothing more complicated than what you guys are doing, but basically it would take all the links from different link indices for the domain and then crawl them and collect tons of data from them. So it looked like one of those tools I created that helped speed up what I was doing.
I had a lot of these little tools. Well, I mean, one of those tools that I had was probably bigger, but I had a lot of little tools that I would just build because one is nothing special and two is a process followed by people in the company and I didn’t make any sense to me. I hate copying and pasting over and over again.I hate having to do things manually, and if there is no tool for that, I just do it.
In addition, understanding how the Internet works from my previous experience was incredibly invaluable for analysis, for developing strategies, because there were things that I wanted to do. On the other hand, there were SEOs who said “I have no idea what you are talking about” or “I do not understand what you found here and you name the problem.”It was definitely very valuable to me when I got into search engine optimization because I had the understanding and ability to do things that many people around me did not have.
Do you think nowadays to be a really good SEO professional you need to have some technical knowledge or is that enough to create content?
Michael : I totally believe that the best SEOs are very technical, but that doesn’t mean people who were good at content couldn’t do SEO because they did exactly that. Today we all know that wins the most relevant content with the highest quality links. If you can effectively post the type of content you want and then build those links effectively, you can largely overcome many of the technical challenges. But that being said, if you can combine the two, will do better than just the standard content marketer.
I think this is a tricky question, but I think the best of both worlds is being technical and being effective in content. Also, I think that very often people give too much importance to one and not the other, and then there are people who come and have both, and they defeat a person who is only strong in one or the other. They think the tech is everything, or the content is everything, and then they don’t understand why they were simply bypassed.
What do you think are the most important signals or factors when we talk about Google ranking, or what signals do you think are the present and future of Google?
Michael : Unfortunately, yes.I really believe that if I had to choose between the most important factors, I would say that content and links still exist. We’ve all seen sites that are technically junk and rank very well because they have that kind of authority and they have the content most valuable to the user. I would say that these are still the most important factors. My platform has been focusing on the technical part for a year / a year and a half.
We cannot completely ignore its technical components. This is due to the fact that at the heart of the modern Internet are things that are still difficult for Google to crawl. If you don’t really account for these items, you just shoot yourself in the foot. I still believe that people need to understand how the Internet works. We are always chasing an algorithm, but if we understand how the Internet works, we know where they are going.
So, as far as the future of search is concerned, ultimately it is still filled with content and authority. We’re at a point where Google is becoming more of a front-end to the web, they just pull content and then present it using voice results or other search functionality. It’s still about content, but can they access it and understand that this is still a technical issue. So, I still think these two things should work together.
Do you find SEO difficult to sell right now?
Razvan : Because doing SEO and improving Google rankings is now becoming more and more difficult from the agency’s point of view, and sometimes it was more difficult for clients to understand these issues. They need to pay three or six months for this until they see something really change in their rankings. Do you find SEO difficult to sell right now?
Michael : No, I think it’s really easier to sell nowadays because I think understanding that you really need content to get links was a paradigm shift. In the past, when I worked for other agencies, it was always like “just give me links, just give me links,” and now people are realizing that you have to create compelling content in order to position your site and get those links. So it’s much easier to sell it.
As far as SEO is concerned, in general it’s hard to sell, I don’t know what I’m seeing either. I think people have a much better understanding of what SEO is at the moment, what it involves and how long it will take to get the results you want. For me, these conversations are no longer difficult. It was much more difficult a few years ago, but at the same time, I always lagged behind the seller, so maybe that’s why it was difficult for me. Now that I am a salesperson and can talk about these things in detail, I do not have this problem.
Do you usually find , that the offer is technical or non-technical?
Michael : Yes. This is a combination because I want to show you why you have these problems. So, I’m going to walk you through some of the technical aspects of why this is, and explain them to you in a way that makes sense and context for what you already know. It will have components that are pretty technical, but then there will be some business layer related components to really tie it into what you care about.Yes, there are certainly technical components, but there are also many digestible things.
Do you think that content is being overvalued now?
Razvan : Let’s go back a little bit to SEO and how Google evaluates things. I know you wrote an older blog post that said, “Let’s stop chasing the train of content and get back to creating an impressive experience.” Do you think that content is being overvalued in some way right now?
Michael : I think people are focusing too much on content marketing . I mean, there is always an emphasis on “we need to do more content, we need to do more content.” It’s not necessarily about doing more, often optimizing existing content, and then some of them might just be technical fixes . If you are thinking of a large site with tens of millions of pages built on templates and the like, there are many technical optimizations that will dramatically improve the performance of this site.
While a lot of people will come and say things like “you know these are combo pages and there is no real content here.” This does not necessarily matter for this type of site. I think for the most part a lot of businesses are built this way, and then they think “we don’t have the content we need for content marketing.” This is not necessarily a fix for every business.
I really think this is a revaluation of , after all, the idea that it is a one-size-fits-all fix that everyone wants to use.In many ways, technical SEO or technical components for optimization in general has been understated in the past few years because it is difficult to understand what the technical aspects of SEO are. Many people don’t know anything about code and deal with developers, which is usually very difficult.
So business owners think, “Let’s just give up coding because we are marketers and we know how to do, in fact, advertise and place it all over the web.” Then they go even further in that direction, and I believe there is still a lot more to be done on the technical side if you just understand what is in this area.
Usually when you are doing content marketing and creating snippets of content, do you have a specific strategy in mind for creating successful content?
Michael : It’s not that we like to do the same for our customers. In fact, approaching how to get to the point where we know what we have to create is the same process. We don’t go to a client and say, “Well, we’ll make five infographics, because infographics will always work.”NO. We start with audience research market segmentation, to find out who their audience is, what they want, what they are motivated by, what they care about, and then analyze the existing content within those market segments.
Therefore, both quantitatively and qualitatively, to see how it works, what does not work, what can be changed, and then we have an idea of what needs to be created, because we essentially did this gap analysis on based on the audience.
We also do keyword research, which we then combine with the audience, so we can figure out what questions are being asked and what stage users are in, or where they are in the user journey when they search for a given keyword, and then we use it. to communicate what we call a Content Plan; where we outline what will be created; where he will live, what are the models, workflows and governance models for content creation; how it will start; how we will promote it.
So everything is planned based on their situation and then we figure out what we are going to create and then we move forward and then measure things based on these KPIs. If the KPIs are links, the question goes ahead to see if it’s traffic, leads, and so on. Then, based on this performance, we use the performance reports to determine what we will do next and further optimize the content campaign.
Usually, is the goal of a content campaign simply to drive traffic to your site or to increase the rankings of others?
Michael : It depends on the campaign, but in many cases it is about link building and then it all comes down to how we get links.Whether it will be done through outreach at the PR level or through standard blogger resource pages, broken link building, and other similar techniques. It determines how we are going to position the content because its PR base must be large enough for us to extract a series of different stories from it, because we need to effectively promote various news agencies, journalists, etc. have a story that they can tell that potentially no one can tell.
We then try to figure out how best to position content to achieve a goal, and in many cases when we talk about SEO, this is done in terms of links. Finally, in the end, we are trying to get traffic back to the site, no matter what channel it is on.
Obviously SEO or even hate search, this will be more qualified traffic because we have this intent, but in the end the user or client is looking for us to drive traffic that converts. Here’s what we are trying to do.
Do you also use PR companies in your outreach campaigns to help you attract journalists or media coverage, or do you do it yourself?
Michael : No. We really do it from our side. In many cases, our clients will have a public relations team, and therefore we can consult with them about this, but other than that, we do not cooperate with PR agencies in anything at the moment.
What two main outreach methods or strategies would you recommend to our listeners?
Razvan : I know that in the past you had a presentation that I checked. “Build Your Information Machine,” I think it’s called, and you talked about many of the technical models there on how to get the best coverage. What are the two main outreach methods or strategies you would recommend to our listeners?
Michael : In the presentation you linked to, I talked about a lot of different tactics, but I also talked about how we use machine learning for two specific things.
One of which is intended for exploration . Basically, if you’ve collected your leads and saved that data over time so that leads say, “This is a good prospect, there is a bad prospect,” you can use a machine learning model to essentially figure out which leads from a new set of leads. of them are likely. be good prospects for you. This allows you to automate the search process.
The next thing we do is automate objection handling .What do you find when you do your outreach and get constant objections from people who say, “We don’t take this type of content for links,” or “we only charge for links,” and the like. So, you’ll see what these trends are and you can figure out what those responses are going to be, and then effectively you can just use a chatbot to respond to that in your email and say, “Let’s talk about how you can do it. “.
In terms of general tactics, if you don’t want to do anything like what I described, video calling is the most effective tactic I’ve ever come up with.Just use a tool like Bom Bom, which allows you to send a short video as well as receive analytics from it. Technically, you can just use YouTube for this, but you only get the number of views and all.
Make a short video, no more than a minute, just introduce yourself and say, “Hi! I have content that I was interested in giving you a link or getting a link from you. ” The reason I think it works so well is one: it is different, so that you are different from all other emails that people receive, and the other is that it shows that you are a real person, as if you are not just spam.bot. I got such a high response. I don’t study anymore. We have received such a high response rate from such events that this is by far the best.
Did you just include this video as a YouTube link in your newsletter ?
Michael : We don’t use YouTube, as I said, we use its so called Bom Bom, which is similar to an email platform for sending video emails, but YouTube will do. I would recommend if you are into YouTube you need to take a screenshot of the video and then the link.On social media, there is a play button for me in the screenshot and you can choose one of them because then it looks interactive and the user clicks on it.
Another tactic that we use in our work with Elijah, which is very effective, is to find the most common content on the site using any number of tools and refer to them. It is more likely that people have already spoken to them about this content, so they will be more receptive if you use it in your newsletter. We get a lot more feedback with this tactic.
How do you collect prospects?
Razvan : You told us about how to actually conduct outreach, about the techniques of outreach, but about who people should contact because there are many methods of gathering leads. How do you collect perspectives?
Michael : It all depends on what you have. We are using a tool called Pitchbox, which essentially automates the collection of leads for us and allows us to do things like filtering on based on whatever metrics we look at, be it domain authority or citation flow or some of the metrics. estimates that some other tools provide. If you also have a very large list of Twitter followers, I would say use that because you can simply combine that list with the root domains linking you in your link profile.
A lot of people put links on their Twitter profiles, then you just want to use them as a URL expander to turn them from shortened links into actual URLs, then extract the domains and compare that to the list of linked root domains in your link. profile. Whoever follows you and has a site or writes for a site that doesn’t link to you are all good prospects because they already have some kind of brand connection, so you know this is a good way to do it. or you could use any number of tools, as I said, we use Pitchbox.
There is another tool that I use a lot. I will get back to you on this matter. I cannot remember its name. There are many tools that allow you to perform searches based on search terms and the like.
Do you think it’s hard to go viral with content? How difficult is it to create viral content?
Michael : I just remembered the tool. It is called Ontolo, this is ONTOLO.
Regarding your question, I’m not looking for content that goes viral because I’m more targeted at a very specific audience. If it goes viral it will be great, but I’m not going to do it. I want to create something that suits the purpose, and that’s pretty much it.
Do you use multiple tools, or do you have a specific set / minimum number of tools to work with in SEO?
Michael : I definitely use a lot of different things. When people come here, they are kind of like “There are so many tools. Where do I begin? “Because it’s very easy for me to jump and use my best. I definitely use a lot.
Razvan : There is no perfect tool. There are good tools out there for certain things, but I don’t think there is one tool that covers all aspects, since SEO today is so wide and complex, at least from a technical point of view.
If you had the opportunity to tell everyone who starts marketing one thing, what would you tell them?
Michael : Learn to do something.I think one of the things that sets really good marketers apart is that they get their hands dirty and are able to really understand the nuances of things. When you just talk about things that basically end up when you are a consultant or working for an agency, or even if you work for a company, but not the one who actually does something, it is very difficult for you to turn an idea into an embodiment. even if you can do it, you may not have the strongest idea because you don’t know what it takes; it has indeed been accomplished.
I think this is really important and I am looking for when we hire people so you can really do something.
What’s your biggest mistake – failure that you’ve experienced in your career, and what have you learned from it? If you had errors, maybe not.
Michael : No. I’ve definitely made mistakes. If you don’t make mistakes, you are not trying hard enough. It’s hard to say because I make a lot of mistakes. I definitely learned from them and tried not to repeat them again. It’s also hard to be like “this is a huge mistake” because I learned a lot from that again. Working at iAcquire was ultimately a mistake, but again, I learned a lot from facing many things in the role I did to that end, and this is not a mistake.
Most recently, when we bought it from Undergroundhiphop.com, I immediately started doing search engine optimization, content, and so on, but it would have been much wiser to go into paid media first. It’s a pretty standard thing in e-commerce, but I didn’t do it because I was so confident that we could knock it out of the park based on what we do for all of our clients. These are two key mistakes.
Can smaller brands also apply?
Razvan : You have worked with some of the largest brands such as Microsoft, Citibank, LG. What is the most important thing you learned working with them? Can smaller brands apply this too?
Michael : This is interesting because we see differences between smaller brands and how they work, and also between larger brands. What I have learned from the bigger brands is that I never want to get to the point where we are so big that we cannot be flexible and efficient. We have worked with so many organizations, and they simply cannot do something, because there are too many people involved in the decision-making chain, and not only. There are so many political things going on that prevent the organization from moving forward.
This is the main thing I’ve learned working with large companies. I just never want to be in a situation where our size alone stops us from innovating .
Did you also notice something positive that a smaller brand could use?
Michael : There are processes and quality standards that some of these big organizations are introducing and demanding. It sounds like it might contradict what I just said, but at the same time, I want to be thoughtful about everything we do, and also just make sure we maintain a quality standard because small organizations want to move so fast. what they don’t think about. They just don’t think about what they are trying to do.
I think smaller organizations can benefit from taking a step back and showing strategy, but not slowing themselves down so that they are not flexible .I think there is a fine line and a good balance that needs to be maintained in order to be effective, and also just to present yourself in the same way that some of these larger organizations do.
Let’s imagine ten years from now, what do you think the SEO landscape will look like? Will there be an SEO concept?
Michael : In ten years, I think the technology will be very different, but I believe that search will be our main interface for everything. I think that someday, perhaps in the next ten years, the search will primarily depend on the voice. This does not mean that the desktop environment will disappear, but I think that the main mode will become voice. At this point, it gets a lot more difficult because voice search won’t give you ten answers, it will only give you one. It will be much more important to be number one, but I think personalization will be as important as voice search, which is the interface.
It will create these filter bubbles based on your implicit request and your explicit request, so depending on where you are, who you are and what you showed interesting. These are implicit vectors, whereas the explicit thing is exactly what you asked for. I think the personalization is going to be overwhelming and will really require us to create hyper-specific content to get into these filter bubbles and be that one answer.
The hip-hop site you mentioned; Is this your project site or are you totally focused on it? Are you dedicated to this professionally?
Michael : Undergroundhiphop. com. We bought this at the beginning of the year. Basically, we treat him like a client. Just like one of our clients gets X hours a week. Of course, I am the owner or the majority owner, and a lot of things are needed in order to simply run the business, and therefore we have a couple of people on the staff who are engaged in this. We have a guy who writes boxes and ships them. We have a guy who does inventory and sales. The iPullRank team then manages the website, social media and everything else.We treated us like a client, but that’s not all for me.
Do you see a difference in the prospect of owning this side versus treating it as a buyer?
Razvan : I mean, how do you, as a business owner, in your outlook provide consulting services to a client or work independently and get advice from someone on this particular case?
Michael : This is definitely different, and it made me realize that in some consulting matters, I think this is true for most agencies, there are gaps between what you represent and what the client can do. I think it allowed us to or inform us about what we are doing in such a way that we can improve it because we essentially had to eat our dog food, so to speak. We found that this is not always enough for someone to take this document and then get down to business. Because of this, we have made a number of improvements to our strategic work to be better for our clients. I think this is really good.
If you have 1 million dollars to invest in a business or to start a business, what would you start? Or what would you invest in?
Michael : Maybe I wouldn’t start a business maybe I just buy a bunch of Bitcoin.I’m very fascinated by blockchain. I’ve been digging into it. We’re actually doing an initial coin offering pretty soon. I would definitely invest a million dollars in a blockchain app; probably built on the theory at the start. Then I will pivot in my own blockchain later. I think that space is really interesting. It definitely hasn’t matured yet and it definitely feels a lot like SEO did when I first got into it. It is so much to learn and there are no rules.
There are a lot of opportunities to do really cool things. But to the point of it not maturing there hasn’t been a blockchain app or block chain-driven app that’s better than a centralized app yet. What’s really interesting to me is creating something that is that good, creating something that not only did you get the benefits from a decentralized application but you also get benefits of speed and create something that just changes what we do on the internet rather than just creating something that already exists and putting it in a block shape.
Razvan : It was a pleasure talking to you Mike.We talked a lot about a lot of things such as SEO, Bitcoin, in the end, and your agency. Would you like to add anything more to this end of the discussion?
Michael : Check what I’m working on. Like I said, we’ve got this ICO coming out soon called scratch. I’ve got undergroundhiphop.com and of course, I’ve got ipullrank. com. We’ve got some really cool content coming soon. We are wrapping up a guide to machine learning for marketers which I think is going to be really interesting for a lot of people.Just keep checking up what we’re up to.
Razvan : It needs to be digestible when we’re talking about content and when you’re talking about machine learning to present it to marketers. Machine learning is very complicated so you need to present it in a very nice format so people can understand it and digest it.
Michael : That’s definitely the goal we have. If you’ve seen the guide to Google tag manager that we did it’s gonna be very similar to that.Hopefully, it is digestible. My whole goal on talking about machine learning to marketers it demystifies it and kind of make something where it’s not too different from how we approach everything else.
I really like to think that when most people do digital marketing they are doing an educated form of guess and check. Thinking such as “Let’s build this thing and see if it worked if it didn’t work we need to try something else”. Effectively, that’s what you’re doing with machine learning. You’re trying to trade a model and then you try different models based on one, your experience and then two, just trying different models. Then you see if that model ultimately gives you the results that you expected and if it doesn’t, you need to try another model.
I think bringing it down to that frame makes it more approachable for marketers and also just there being so many tools out there that abstract the math and also the programming of it make it a lot easier for people to try it out.
Razvan : Thank you very much! It was a very interesting discussion and I would love to have you later on our podcast.
Michael : Thanks for having and me peace out! 90 036 90 000 Read When the lights go out online (completely and free) page 3
MICHAEL. John Parker! Listen to me! I told you I found a gold mine. I will share with you!
PARKER (interested) . Thanks Michael! What kind of gold mine is this?
MICHAEL.Catch the dogs!
PARKER. Catching dogs?
MICHAEL. Yes, dogs. Wanderers, stragglers, stuck, well … and others. There are enough dogs for everyone!
PARKER. What to do with them?
MICHAEL. Wow! Have you read it in the newspapers? “The Italian greyhound dog has disappeared. Daisy’s nickname. The finder will be given a reward. ” There are many such ads. And for another little dog, some crazy lady will dump a hundred. And if you fail to return it to the owner – they buy dog meat for sausages, and furriers buy the skin. The most suitable business for you, Parker! In the evening, after work in the office, like a walk in the fresh air.
PARKER. But I can’t catch dogs.
MICHAEL. It’s not tricky. The first is sausage. (Takes a piece of sausage out of his pocket.) As the dog senses this spirit, not one will stand, will leave every owner. And then … I came up with such a loop. On a cane. See? I’m walking with a cane. I see a dog. I lure. (Game.) Then like this. (Demonstrates.) Clap! And you’re done. And money in my pocket. Then on the leash (takes a leash out of another pocket) – and let’s go! I’ll teach you one evening.Do you agree?
PARKER. I really don’t know. You will still get caught.
MICHAEL. For a start, you can catch the stragglers, in fact, the lost ones. “The dog has stuck!” And nothing but gratitude. I guarantee that the wedding will be brought closer by five, if not ten years! Come with me, I will show and tell you everything.
PARKER (hesitantly) . Let’s go, perhaps …
The long corridor of the Bachelor’s Orphanage. Parker and Michael Groth are walking. Parker’s face is worried. The melody of the “accounting symphony” sounds quietly, intertwining with the “symphony of love”.
Michael’s room. Bed, table, stool. Above the table are boxing gloves under a withered laurel wreath. On the walls are old posters and posters with portraits of Michael Groth when he was a boxer.
Under the table are two dogs tied to the legs of the table.
MICHAEL. Here’s my booty yesterday. Waiting for ads in the newspaper.
PARKER. How does Mrs. Green allow …
MICHAEL. She loves dogs, just imagine. Those who howl, I keep those in the barn. (Quickly puts a cap on his head.) So I’m ready. Go! (Parker exits without his hat.)
Street. Parker and Michael leave.
Another street. Parker is alone in the crowd on the sidewalk. Parker’s hand holds a cane with a noose. He is very worried.
Sees a lady with a dog. Takes out a sausage. Approaches the dog. He puts down his hand with the sausage.
At this time, the lady turns to Parker. She is very beautiful.Casting a caressing look at him.
Parker embarrassedly hides the sausage in his pocket, walks away, mixed up in the crowd.
A dense man with a dog. Parker tries to catch the dog, but it turns out to be on a leash. Smelling the smell of sausage, it lingers. The master pulls her, shouts: “Caesar!” – and turns around.
Mr. Parker recognizes the chief accountant of Gray & Co.. Parker dives into the crowd in panic.
Garden corner.Parker sits on a bench with his head bowed. Draws with a stick in the sand. Couples are passing by.
The symphony of love sounds.
An old woman wanders. A decrepit lapdog waddles behind her.
Parker tosses a piece of sausage to the lapdog. The lapdog stops. She sniffs, but cannot eat – she has a muzzle. Parker grabs the dog. She squeals.
The old woman looks around, shouts.
OLD WOMAN. Kado! Kadoshka! Oh! My God! What are you doing with my dog?
PARKER (with a dog in his arms, confused) .Excuse me … I really love dogs …
OLD WOMAN. But you grabbed her so roughly! You wanted to steal it! Keep it!
A crowd gathers.
Parker leaves the dog and runs.
Shouts from the crowd:
– Hold! Stop thief!
Parker escapes. An ever-increasing crowd pursues him. Police whistles. They also join the chase. Parker runs, bumps into oncoming passers-by. Runs out into the street, causing disorder in the movement of cars.
Whistles, beeps, shouts.
Running around a stopped car, Parker turns a corner. He sees the barber shop and flies into it.
After a while a crowd appears. Runs past the barber shop.
Hairdressing salon. All seats are occupied.
After finishing shaving and cutting, the hairdresser removes the towel from the client and shakes it. The client rises from the chair.
Parker flies in, out of breath. He snatches the towel out of the barber’s hands, wraps it around his neck, and sits down in a chair.
HAIRDRESSER. Let me … This towel was in use … I’ll give …
PARKER (panting) . Nothing … get off … hurrying … to the train … Po … shave me …
HAIRDRESSER. But … you’re clean-shaven …
PARKER. I shave twice a day … Please hurry! (Impatiently grabs a brush and lathers all over her face.)
Police and two of the crowd run into the barber shop, scan the premises, and run out.
Parker sees their reflection in the mirror, sighs in relief.
Through a wide window, a crowd can be seen running past the barber shop.
HAIRDRESSER (finished shaving) . Ready.
PARKER (without getting up from the chair and looking cautiously at the window) . Now … please wash my hair.
Hairdresser washes. Washed out.
PARKER. Now … cut my hair.
HAIRDRESSER. After washing?
PARKER.Then you can still wash. I’m in a hurry (choked) , so I’m used to it . .. (Looks out the window.)
The hairdresser finally removes the sheet from Parker.
Parker walks towards the exit. Still looking at the window cautiously. Before him appears, like a white vision, a fabulously beautiful girl in a white coat. She has golden hair and a radiant look. She smiles at him affably.
Parker looks at her spellbound, forgetting about everything.
Close up of Parker’s face. Mimic play: surprise, admiration, delight …
MEG MORRIS (smiles more and more, seeing Parker’s admiration) . Would you like to get a manicure?
PARKER (does not understand, does not hear. After a pause). How?
MEG (louder as a deaf man) . Would you like to get a manicure?
PARKER. Oh yes, yes! Manicure! I never get a manicure. Please, please! (He holds out his fingers to her as if he is ready to give them to be cut off.) With the greatest pleasure!
Parker and Mag sit opposite each other at a small table with tools and manicure accessories.
MEG (deftly starts work. Speaks loudly). You are very fussy about your nails.
PARKER. Yes, yes … sorry! This will never happen again. But why are you talking so loudly?
MEG. Because you didn’t answer my question and I thought you were deaf.
PARKER.No, no, I’m not deaf. I’m just a little … (Hot.) I’m ready to get my nails done … fifty times a day, if only you will take care of my nails.
The barber shop is being transformed. The clanging of scissors turns into the clicking of nightingales, the dressing gowns of hairdressers – into bushes of blooming white lilacs. Frosted lamp on the ceiling – to the moon. Parker and Mag are surrounded by white lilac bushes. The “symphony of love” sounds powerful.
PARKER (dreamily) . How good these lilac flowers smell!
MEG.In our hairdresser we always use the lilac cologne.
With these words, the vision disappears.
MEG (wielding shiny tools) .
