What is a Level 3 personal trainer?
Get the Basics. ..
- To become a personal trainer in England, you need to obtain a Level 3 certification.
- A Level 3 personal trainer has met the requirements set forth by the Register of Exercise Professionals.
- In most cases, you need a Level 2 certification prior to studying for your Level 3.
- However, some programs do allow you to study for the two certificates simultaneously.
Level 3 is an England-based certification. In England, you must complete this certification to become a personal trainer. The program needs to comply with the Register of Exercise Professionals guidelines.
Most Level 3 programs require you to have already completed a Level 2 qualification before enrolling. These Level 2 qualifications include the Level 2 Certificate in gym and fitness instructing, the Level 2 diploma in health, fitness, and exercise instruction, and the Level 2 diploma in instructing exercise and fitness.
Some programs will allow you to study for your Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications at the same time.
These combination packages allow you to get both certificates in a shorter period of time. You might choose to do this program if you wish to start working right away as a personal trainer and not work as a group fitness instructor.

What Do You Learn in a Level 3 Personal Training Program?
There are a few different types of personal training programs, and they might have some slight differences. Most of them will last several weeks. Almost all programs recognized by the Register of Exercise Professionals consist of 10 modules covering various personal training topics.
Some of the topics included in the course are anatomy, physiology, cardiovascular training, and general training principles, physical activity promotion, health, and safety. You will also learn how to develop a training program based on your client’s needs and fitness level. Additionally, you will learn how to put together a diet plan and give nutritional advice.
Many of these programs are available online for distance learners, so it is not necessary to live in the United Kingdom to take these classes.

What Else Is Required to Become a Personal Trainer in England?
In addition to the Level 3 certification course, you should get a First Aid certificate and personal trainer insurance. The Health and Safety Executive-recognized first aid certificate is also known as the Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. It is important to understand how to prevent injury and administer basic first aid in the case of an emergency during training. You need to renew your first aid certificate every three years.
It is also a good idea to get personal trainer insurance if you plan on working for yourself, even though it is not a mandatory requirement. If you do not have insurance and a client gets injured during a training session, it could be your responsibility to compensate the client. If you work for a fitness center, a healthcare facility, or another large company, you should be covered by your employer’s insurance.
What Is a Level 2 Certification Course?
You’ll need to pass your Level 2 certification before moving on to Level 3. Level 2 programs teach the basics of fitness instruction. There are no pre-requisites for this certification, but experience in a gym is helpful. In a Level 2 program, you will learn human anatomy, physiology, safety in a fitness environment, and the principles of health and exercise. You will begin to learn how to implement an exercise program and work effectively with your clients.

Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification
Personal trainers provide exercise instruction, support and guidance to a wide range of clients typically on a one to one basis. The emphasis is on building supportive relationships and providing sessions that are tailored to the clients needs and abilities.
The focus is on improving how they look, feel and function by working towards agreed fitness goals. Client needs can be varied and complex and this is where successful Personal Trainers come into their own, skillfully designing exercise programmes for results.
A key factor here is being aware of the responsibilities that come with the role.
Demonstrating exercise and technique
There’s a right way and a wrong way to exercise. Clients will expect you to offer exercise instruction and guide them through the correct technique to keep them safe and deliver maximum results.
Health and safety first
Clients will inevitably be keen to push themselves by working harder and for longer. They may tell you they can lift heavier weights and do more repetitions, or that they can work at higher intervals or inclines. You are the expert and it’s your reputation at stake if something goes wrong. So keep things safe and follow your client care checks and procedures every time.
Expect the unexpected
Personal training is an active profession and things can happen quickly. Think on your feet and be ready to adapt at all times. If a client is running late and can only do a half hour session, HIIT offers a great workout option. For the client who’s had a tiring stressful day at work, flexibility training is a great choice.
Being adaptable is also a great way to help clients through the highs and lows as they progress towards their goals.
Think on your feet
You will have already prepared the exercise programme for your client, but the ability to be one step ahead is key to delivering a great PT session. Develop your plan B with plenty of progression and regression options. It’s also really handy to have some exercise alternatives according to client preferences to help maximize motivation.
Registration Levels
All registered exercise professionals are allocated a level of registration in acknowledgement of both industry experience and the industry qualification attained. The levels of registration accommodate all existing expertise in the field and help to coordinate service delivery and provide identifiable career progression opportunities for registered professionals.
The following table outlines the qualification and registration term requirements for level allocation.
Registration Levels
Level 1
The introductory level represents the beginning phase of a professional’s career. Level 1 registrants are learning to execute professional skills and are simultaneously beginning to apply technical knowledge in their role. They are starting to familiarise themselves with mainstream equipment, facilities, settings and all aspects of exercise professional service delivery including screening, assessment, prescription, delivery, re-assessment and program modification. Ideally, a Level One Professional will receive periodic guidance and mentoring from a Level Three exercise professional.
Level 2
At the intermediate level, the exercise professional builds on their skill and knowledge and applies it to clientele and in settings according to their role. During this stage, the professional is gaining broader experience and may typically extend their capacity and range of roles through continuing education or higher qualification.
Level 3
The advanced level represents an exercise professional who has a more progressed level of knowledge and skill and has considerable experience to draw upon. It is expected that a professional at this stage of development can combine the use of competencies, experience and critical thinking skills in practice. This professional is most likely to assume a leadership and mentoring role for other exercise professionals. It is important to recognise that Level 3 is not an end point for professionals, but only a description for a higher developmental stage.

6 Things you Should Know About Fitness Qualifications
Whether you are about to start your career in fitness or have already made a start on your journey, make sure you know the facts about fitness qualifications.
From how you can advance beyond Level 3 to making sure a course will be recognised by a future employer, here are 6 things you should know…
1.) “Fitness instructor” and “personal trainer” are not the same thing
Becoming a fitness instructor is the first stage of a career in fitness, and requires completing the Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing. At Level 2, fitness instructor courses give you a foundation of knowledge about anatomy and physiology, fitness principles and health and safety. This means you can, for example, work on the gym floor and deliver inductions to new members.
To be a personal trainer requires progressing to Level 3. As well as giving a deeper knowledge of anatomy and nutrition, Level 3 gives the training for those who qualify to be able to plan and deliver successful workouts to their clients. If you do not hold a Level 3 personal training certificate, you are not able to call yourself a personal trainer.
2.) It doesn’t have to stop at Level 3
You can take your personal training career further with the Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral. This course is designed for fitness professionals and personal trainers who wish to join their local register and work with people who’ve been medically referred onto an exercise programme. With the Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral, you can then go on to Level 4, which looks at two key areas that affect a lot of people, opening up new client bases:
- Diabetes and obesity – train to gain the skills and the insight to help clients better manage obesity or diabetes.
- Lower back pain – learn how to prescribe, plan, conduct and review programmes to address the needs of clients with low back pain.
You can also become a Level 5 personal trainer. This requires training your client’s mindset as well as their muscles. With modules on human psychology, counselling and stress management, you will be equipped to help clients across all areas of their lives, from quitting smoking to managing stress.
3.) CPD courses can help you find your niche
CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. CPD is a way for exercise professionals to demonstrate that they continue to learn and develop throughout their careers, and keep their knowledge up to date.
CPD can also set you apart from the pack. In a gym full of personal trainers, perhaps you will be the only one qualified in teaching kettlebells and Olympic weightlifging, making you the go-to for those training for muscle mass. Or perhaps you’re in an area full of expectant mothers that mean being trained in antenatal or postnatal fitness will give you the edge.

4.) You can get creative with exercise to music
If you’re interested in teaching group fitness but don’t want to be restricted to a set programme, T3 high intensity interval training workoutsare programmes that will deliver results for your clients, but also give you the freedom to have some flare.
Being a T3 instructor, for example, gives you access to six different workouts, allowing you to keep your classes fresh and to cater to different audiences. Deliver a martial arts-inspired workout with a full body HIIT workout with T3 fight.
Rather than being locked into pre-set choreography for weeks, T3 allows you to adapt as you see fit and mix up the tracks to keep your class on its toes.
To teach group exercise, you will need to complete an exercise to music course and hold either the entry level Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Exercise to Music) or the Diploma in Exercise to Music.
5.) Make sure your fitness qualification is REPs-accredited
REPs is an independent, public register that recognises the qualifications of fitness professionals in the UK. Being REPs-accredited shows employers and clients that you meet a certain standard of competency. Level 2, Level 3 and CPD courses should all be REPS-accredited. Avoid training providers that offer non-awarding body certificates and in-house certificates. All of TRAINFITNESS’ courses are REPs-accredited.
It is not compulsory to register with REPs once qualified, but it is regarded as a badge of professionalism by the fitness industry. Some employers may expect it and it will give your clients peace of mind that they are in safe hands.
6.) Being a personal trainer does not make you a nutritionist or dietician
As a personal trainer, you should certainly encourage your clients to make changes to their diet that encompass recognised healthy eating guidelines.
However, personal trainers have a responsibility to not endorse celebrity or trend-based diets, or encourage restricted eating patterns. Personal trainers should also not write individual, bespoke nutrition programmes for their clients.
An alternative to a four-year degree to become a nutritionist is to enroll in a programme such as body fxnutrition course.The body fx nutrition programme is a 16-week programme designed to give personal trainers the knowledge to help their clients achieve the body, health and happiness they desire.
The programme can be delivered to small groups or with one-to-one clients, and provides them with a comprehensive journey featuring continuous guidance and support to achieve the body, health and happiness they desire.

90,000 Fitness Skill in The Sims 4, Sports in The Sims 4
In The Sims 4, there is no sports skill per se. In the game, it is called fitness. You can improve this skill by watching the sports channel, books:
“Fitness. Volume 1. Say “No!” milkshake “(75 simoleons)
” Fitness. Volume 2. Become the Strongest in the World “(150 Simoleons)
” Fitness. Volume 3. How to Reap Iron “(250 simoleons).
And, of course, sports. There are 3 types of exercise equipment in The Sims 4: punching bag, treadmill, and exercise machine.The last 2 were also present in 3 parts of the game, and the punching bag is a completely new thing. At first, she can simply push Sim aside, and he will simply fall. But as the skill improves, the sim will box better and better.
Sims can’t practice with a music player and TV (like in The Sims 3).
Characters practice best in a fierce and agitated mood. The first state can be achieved by a major quarrel and even a fight. And for the second, it is enough to take a refreshing shower.
In an excited state, the sim has additional fitness options – if you press on the ground / floor, the “physical education” icon will appear, if you click on it, you can choose 3 types of action: push-ups, swing abs and stretch. Also, when you click on a sim, you can choose the action “brisk run”. And Sims with the “active” trait can perform these actions with any kind of mood.
The Active Trait can be selected in Create a Sim, which makes Sims more likely to be in a “Horny” mood.
You can also choose the “Sport” aspiration, then the Sim will have an additional character trait – “Increased Metabolism”, with which it is much easier to keep the Sim in shape. And with the Snooper trait, Sims get tired of exercise much faster and their fitness skill develops more slowly.
Fitness can be done with other Sims, and Sims can encourage each other to exercise.
With each skill level, Sims have new opportunities:
Level 3: endurance running on a treadmill;
Level 4: practicing boxing punches on a bag;
Level 5: Light jogging on the treadmill and protein shake at the bar;
Level 6: Sims can show off their muscles;
Level 7: climbing a hill on a treadmill;
Level 8: intense exercise on the simulator;
level 9: Sims can train strikes on other characters;
Level 10: Sims can supervise the teaching of other Sims.
After level 10, the sim gets the achievement “Jock”.
Sim is showing off their muscles.
You can also use the codes in Sims 4 and select the desired skill for your Sim. To do this, enter TestingCheats true (or AutomationTestingCheats true ) and then stats.set_skill_level Skill_Fitness 10 , so your Sim will immediately have fitness level 10. Instead of the number 10, you can put any number from 1 to 10.
