Championship weekend in both men’s and women’s Division I lacrosse has a uniform feel — three Atlantic Coast Conference teams and one from the Big Ten in each tournament.
Each also features the top four seeds, which means North Carolina, the top seed in both, remains in the hunt for a sweep for the second time in five years.
In the men’s bracket, the Tar Heels (13-2) will face reigning national champion Virginia (12-4), and No. 2 Duke (14-2) will play No. 3 Maryland (14-0). Those games are Saturday at UConn’s Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut. The championship is Memorial Day.
On the women’s side, North Carolina (20-0) will meet Boston College (16-3) and second-seeded Northwestern (15-0) faces Syracuse (16-3). Those games are at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Maryland, on Friday, with the championship on Sunday.
For the men, the quarterfinals were nail-biters for the most part as three went into overtime, with only Virginia able to cruise to victory, 14-3 over Big East champ Georgetown behind six goals from Connor Shellenberger. UNC escaped against Rutgers, winning 12-11 on Connor McCarthy’s goal with two minutes left in the extra period. Maryland averted its first loss of the season with a 14-13 win over Notre Dame, thanks to Anthony DeMaio’s tally just 39 seconds into overtime. And, Duke beat Loyola Maryland 10-9 on Joe Robertson’s goal with under a minute left in OT.
In the women’s quarterfinals, North Carolina rallied from a two-goal deficit to beat No. 8 Stony Brook 14-11 as attacker Jamie Ortega scored four goals, Northwestern topped Duke 22-10 behind six goals from Lauren Gilbert and five from Izzy Scane, Syracuse took control in the second half to defeat Florida 17-11 behind six goals from freshman Emma Ward, and high-scoring Boston College easily topped Notre Dame 21-10 as Charlotte North had eight goals and Jenn Medjid added five.
Syracuse coach Gary Gait, a two-time national player of the year during his playing days in college with the Orange, is impressed.
“This year, it’s just been the most talented lacrosse year ever,” said Gait, who won three national championships at Syracuse (1988-90). “Each team is so stacked with those extra players (because of the coronavirus pandemic). It’s just been incredible lacrosse. The skill level’s been off the charts.”
Other things to know about the men’s and women’s NCAA lacrosse tournaments:
GAIT’S TIME?
The Syracuse women finished the regular season ranked No. 3 in both media polls, but coach Gary Gait is still chasing that elusive championship as his 14th season at the helm comes to a close. He’s guided the Orange to 12 NCAA appearances and two title games and is facing an unbeaten Northwestern team that has always presented problems.
The Wildcats have won seven titles, but the last was a decade ago and the Orange have won six of the past eight meetings, including 16-11 last year at Northwestern.
“We actually took it to them pretty good, so that’s a little bit of a confidence-builder to know that we match up pretty well against them,” Gait said. “At least it’s not like we’re a big underdog. It’s just a matter of who’s going to step up and play well, make big plays. ”
Wildcats junior attack Izzy Scane leads the nation in goals (94) and points per game (7.80).
Northwestern will be the 10th top-five team the Orange have played this season. The Wildcats lead the all-time series, 14-6.
The Orange will be without high-scoring Megan Carney (49 goals), who suffered a season-ending injury in April. Meaghan Tyrrell has 40 goals and 102 points, the fifth player in Syracuse program history to crack the 100-point barrier.
ACC DOMINATION
The ACC has three teams in the final four of the women’s championship for the fifth time in league history (1998, 2011, 2014, 2015) and has had at least one team in the national semifinals in 31 straight tournaments and 35 times overall. The ACC also is already guaranteed to have at least one team in the national title game for the 11th time in the last 12 tournaments.
SOWERS SWAN SONG
Michael Sowers figured he was going to lead Princeton to big things his senior year before the coronavirus pandemic short-circuited those dreams. Last season, Sowers averaged 9.4 points per game (16 goals, 31 assists) as the Tigers started 5-0 and were ranked No. 3. Then the Ivies canceled the rest of the 2020 season and after some soul-searching Sowers got his degree and departed as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 302 career points (121 goals, 181 assists). He landed with the Duke Blue Devils as a graduate student for his final year of eligibility and has 35 goals and 44 assists heading into an NCAA semifinal, those dreams still alive, just in a different uniform.

90,000 Bad TV antenna signal – what to do?
A poor TV antenna signal immediately affects picture quality. And sometimes sound. If you love watching TV, this cannot but be frustrating. Our technicians will help you eliminate the problem of poor antenna reception quickly and inexpensively.
Why is there a bad signal on the TV antenna?
Experts identify 5 main reasons why the antenna signal is deteriorating.
- Loose or faulty contacts on the TV antenna connector, tuner, spacers, cable.Try to slightly wiggle all the connectors that are within your reach. If the picture changes, the reason has been found.
It is impossible to change the connections, especially if it is a TV or antenna connector, as there is a chance to completely damage the socket. Buying a new nest is expensive.
- Cable. If there are gaps or kinks along its length, this is reflected in the TV picture. A coiled cable is a source of interference to an indoor antenna, especially if it is nearby. If the antenna is located on the roof, the signal loss in the cable can be significant. In any case, you need a specialist with equipment for the repair of electronic or satellite systems.
Do not repair the cable yourself. The technician will replace the damaged section, cut off excess lengths, or advise on measures that will improve reception without replacing the cable. And you don’t have to spend a lot on it.
- Amplifier malfunctions. If the antenna serves you for more than 5 years, the amplifier capacitors fail.On Chinese antennas, their replacement will be required even earlier. In addition, if the antenna is passive, the amplifier deteriorates due to constant operation, power surges. Weather conditions also affect if the antenna is installed outside.
What will the master do in this case? He will repair the amplifier if it needs to be repaired and replace it with a new one if necessary.Sometimes a bad TV antenna signal is due to the amplifier not being powerful enough for your coverage area. After measuring the signal quality, the wizard will recommend the model with which the picture of your TV will be ideal.
- Antenna damage. This will be visible to the naked eye: the antenna is crooked, tilted down, dropped, the grille is curved. Branches, heavy objects, ice and snow on the antenna are also causes of interference. In some cases, you just need to rotate the antenna correctly and the reception will be perfect.
What to do if the TV antenna signal is bad? If before that the antenna was catching excellently, and you are able to correct it yourself – go for it. If you need to determine where to install it, call the wizard. - External. This includes malfunctions of the TV itself, interference due to buildings, weather, background obstacles, a weak signal from the TV tower, and so on. The maximum that the master will help here is to recommend a model of an antenna or amplifier that can amplify the signal, or move the antenna to another place where there is no interference.
What if the antenna signal is bad?
Workshop “ARS-Master” professionally eliminates problems with the antenna signal. If you have poor reception or interference, call us!
- Only repairers who have received the appropriate education, qualifications and experience. This excludes negligence and unprofessional approach to business.
- We repair terrestrial and satellite antennas, digital TV. It doesn’t matter whether your equipment is old or new, Chinese or European assembly, the masters will figure it out.
- Warranty. If during the time specified in the warranty card, the problem appears again, the technician will repair the antenna free of charge.
What should I do if the TV has no sound, poor sound, or low noises (clicks, crackles, interference)?
Strange noises are heard
If your TV is in standby mode or is muted, strange noises (clicks, pops) may be heard from time to time.
These noises are the result of simple mechanical contraction and expansion of certain parts inside your television. Such noises can be heard during TV operation, up to an hour after turning it off, or when turning on the TV from a cold state. Also, clicks can be observed when the TV is performing background service operations (checking for channel updates, software) when the TV is in standby mode.
Please note that this is normal and should not be corrected by Sony.
No sound at all or bad sound
If there is no sound or the sound quality is unsatisfactory, please use the steps below to troubleshoot the problem. Each of these steps individually can be a solution to the problem.
Check the built-in speakers (TV’s internal speakers)
1. To determine if the problem is with the TV’s internal speakers and not the external audio system, please disconnect the HDMI cable from all audio devices.
2. Press the Volume + button on your BRAVIA remote to increase the volume. If the volume does not change with the remote control, see My remote control seems to be not working
3.Press the MUTE button on the remote control to check if the sound was accidentally muted. If there is still no sound, press the MUTE button again to return to the previous state.
4. If the sound is still not what you want, reset all sound settings by clicking Home> Settings> Sound> Reset and enter the desired sound settings.
5. In the [Sound] settings, make sure [Speakers] is set to [TV Speakers].If it is set to [Audio System], sound will not be heard from the TV speakers, regardless of the volume setting on the TV.
Check the external speakers (cabinet / soundbar / home theater system)
1. If using external speakers and an HDMI connection, be sure to use a High Speed HDMI cable.
- If you are not using any broadcast receiver: Make sure your audio system is connected to the HDMI jack on your TV labeled HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel).
- If you are using a TV broadcast receiver: Be sure to connect an external audio system to the receiver, and not directly to the TV!
2. If an external system is connected to the TV, there will be no sound until the following settings are selected in the TV menu: On the TV remote control, press the Options button or Action Menu > scroll down to Speakers> Audio System.
Check cables and connections of external devices
1. Make sure all cables are connected correctly. Disconnect and reconnect if necessary.
2. One of the cables may be faulty. Therefore, if possible, replace the cables with other cables of the same type.
3. If using an external device, check the operation with another similar device.
Make sure the latest firmware is installed on the TV and all audio devices.
If the firmware is out of date, some or all channels may be distorted.Check your software version and update if required.

Wifi on the TV, what to do if we have problems with receiving the signal
Wifi on the TV, I’m sure this “miracle” will not surprise us anymore.
Although, probably remember, the beginning was with a LAN connector, and then many installed a Wifi adapter via USB.
I have the case when Wifi on the TV is already in the package. But, I confess, for some reason I first used the LAN connector.
Probably because there (at the TV set) a cable has already been installed. But when it was time to renovate the apartment, I thought about it.
Why do I need all the cables, wires.
WHY?
Resolved, switching to Wifi Internet connection to the TV.And I have it kind of cool, if not like UHD or more familiar – 4K.
Of course there are solutions called Smart TV.
Connecting to the Internet on modern devices is the easiest procedure. If we want to watch a movie or receive the Aunt Shura service via Wifi, we need a router.
Probably all of them have, I emphasize, a router with Wifi.
Note that not every modern TV has built-in wifi.
But if such a module is not installed initially, the issue is solved simply. It is advisable to purchase and install Wifi via USB!
Of course, first find out which USB modules the manufacturer recommends. So you save yourself the headache with the selection of compatible devices.
Check your router settings before connecting directly. The main thing is that the DHCP service is connected in the LAN settings.
Connection itself. Connecting a TV to the Internet is no more difficult than connecting a computer.Of course, each device has its own unique features, but the idea is the same everywhere.
Wifi on the TV, set up the connection.
Next, you will have to deal with the settings in the TV itself. I want to say that when you turn on Smart TV for the first time, it is proposed to connect to the network either via wifi or by cable.
* Turn on the TV and press the Settings button on the remote. Maybe it will be called something else. But the meaning is the same. You should get into the settings menu.Next, I will explain using the example of an LG TV. As already noted, I have exactly LG.
* There is a Network tab in the settings. In it you need to select the “Network Connection” item.
* Next, you need to click on the item “ Set up connection “.
* The screen will display a list of available wireless networks. We choose the right one.
* Enter the password , if, of course, there is a need for this, and such a need will be if the router already has a password.
If the password was entered without errors and there are no problems with the network, a message will appear on the screen saying that the wireless network is working properly. Confirm by clicking ok.
Wifi on TV, why clicking?
I’m kidding, my TV has two remotes. So in the working (small) there is a bear function, like on a computer, An arrow is visible on the TV screen, which you point to the desired one and click with the remote control wheel.
Distracted, but not a problem – CONTINUE.
Sometimes you may be asked to enter IP or DNS. Select “Automatic”. A network map can be created in the same way. As you can see, there is nothing difficult to start watching movies on TV via wifi.
If your router and TV support WPS technology, then you are a happy person!
Just press the WPS button on the router and in the TV settings select the appropriate item – “WPS”. The TV will immediately connect to the network and will not require additional data to be entered.
But if you connected and the signal is bad, even with interference, then it makes sense to dig further.
The wifi channel in the router settings.
Due to the fact that interference appears on the channel, many problems arise in the operation of the Internet via Wi-Fi. We are talking about router channels, yes, there are such channels!
Frequent disconnections of the Wi-Fi connection , low connection speed, unstable operation, etc. All this may be due to the fact that on the channel on which your network operates, other networks start to work and it turns out that the channel is very downloaded.
Because of this, there can be problems with Aunt Shura, and of course if you watch a movie from a computer on TV.
So the conclusion is one, the signal of your router and the neighbor’s (house, entrance, apartment) intersect, which means that they work on the same channel.
Because of this, unpleasant problems arise: low speed of the Internet, disconnected connection and many, many other problems.
As a result, something should be done with this byaka.
I recommend changing the value of the channels immediately when installing the router if you are almost sure that your neighbors probably have a Wifi network. And this is in the 21st century, for sure, or exactly!
We think it’s logical, with the factory settings, a single channel is selected, to which all Vasya’s neighbors are connected, they also do not know about the channels in the router. Therefore, it is best to set it to AUTO at the beginning.
This means that the device itself will search for a less loaded element and connect with its help.
But this does not always give success or, I shall say, the best choice.
To select a static value, analyze your network with the inSSIDer utility. It will show the load of all elements. So you can choose the most free one for further connection to it.
Change settings.
The change occurs differently on different devices, so below I will show how to do this on popular models.
TP-Link
First you need to go to the control panel of the device. Having connected to it, enter the address in the address bar,
The login and password are the same everywhere: admin.
Now take a close look at the panel on the left.Find the same menu item highlighted in the photo below. In the “Channel” item, select the required number.
Save changes.
As you can see, this is very easy to do. Just reboot the router so that it rebuilds to a new value.
D-Link
Entering the settings is exactly the same as for the above-described router.
With this router, the situation is much simpler. Open the tab named “Wi-Fi” and find the appropriate item.
Just enter your number and save.
By the way, in some models you can see the load of each element, so there is no need for different programs.
Asus
The input is the same, so go to the settings and with the knowledge gained, solve the problem. Of course, if you have it.
Here, changing the Wi-Fi channel in the router settings is similar to the D-Link device. Only the tab is called “Wireless Network”.
After saving the settings, you don’t even need to reboot. He will do it himself.
Zyxel
Login data remains like other routers. Go to the “Wi-Fi network” and change the data in the corresponding item. Save all changes.
Tenda
Maybe not the most popular router, but to someone it is nicer than all the others. The login is the same, but you don’t have to specify the password. Open the highlighted tab. And in the “Channel” point, enter your value.
Save your changes.
Further tips will follow.
* Do not use 12 or 13.Some devices may simply stop seeing your Wi-Fi, so don’t risk it. Choose any unoccupied number.
* When making the necessary changes to the settings of your router, be sure to check if it has correctly identified your country. This is necessary for the correct display of the items available to you.
* After scanning your network, you find that all the elements are busy, then you need a 5 GHz router.
Buying a new device with a different frequency will solve your problems. The speed there is much better due to the low workload, so if you can get a new device, then choose with that frequency.
* HOWEVER, I think everything should work well in auto mode. If there are any problems, then you can reboot the router and it will choose a different channel.
And if you forcibly install, say, the second channel, which will be chosen by several people, then nothing good will come of it.
So we act as mentioned above!
If nothing good came out of it, or you have a desire, you can use the inSSIDer program, or WiFiInfoView to find a free channel.
Good luck, Friends!

Modern TVs are multimedia gadgets that not only broadcast programs, but also perform a lot of other functions. The user can play games, watch his favorite films and series on various online services, use the archive of television programs, as well as communicate on social networks and surf the Internet.
“Smart” equipment, like any other device, can fail or work slower than necessary. Today we will figure out why Smart TV freezes, as well as what to do if the TV slows down.
Why Smart TV freezes: possible reasons
Since Smart TV is a complex device, there are many reasons why the equipment may not work at full capacity. Some of them can be solved by a simple reboot, while others can only be solved by specialized specialists. If you notice deviations in the operation of the equipment, it is preferable to contact technical support. This will not bring additional damage and will help correct the situation while maintaining the factory warranty, if it is still valid.
Among the factors that affect the quality of Smart TV work are:
- low speed of the Internet connection;
- high load of device memory;
- full cache of the built-in internet browser;
- outdated version of the software used;
- breakdown or incorrect operation of the router.
Often the reason why Smart TV freezes from Samsung, LG, Sony can be hidden in the settings of the technology.
Internet connection
Network access is mandatory for such devices. The picture on the screen may pause or not work at all if the Internet connection is incorrect.

The TV’s access to the network is via a router. That is, Smart TV must be connected to the Internet directly via a cable or via a Wi-Fi wireless network.
If you have a router with Wi-Fi support, you need to enter the menu, find the section on wireless connection and enter the login and password from the wireless network to connect. With this method of connecting to the Internet, Smart TV may slow down due to the low speed of Wi-Fi. Since it has a lower data transfer rate than connecting directly to the router.
To access the network through a cable, you need to connect it to a TV and a router. If your ISP provides dynamic IP services, the connection is automatic. It should be noted that this option can be activated additionally. To do this, you need to contact the provider to clarify the details.

With PPPoE, PPtP, L2TP protocols, simply installing a network cable will not be enough. You will need to enter your username and password from the Internet. They can be found in the service contract or check with the operator by phone, calling the contract number. This method guarantees a higher speed of the Internet, that is, data transfer to Smart TV will go faster.
If you are still not satisfied with the Internet speed, you can use our form to find out about other possible connections at your address. Just enter the city, street and your house number.
Full device memory
Every smart TV, regardless of brand and operating system, is equipped with an online store. It has a large number of different applications and widgets. For example, social networks, online cinemas, video hosting, games and other options.
Similarly to smartphones, when downloading a large number of widgets, the device memory can be almost completely filled, which negatively affects the performance of the equipment. In such cases, it is preferable to delete unclaimed applications that simply take up the device’s memory.

Overflowed embedded browser cache
This issue can occur when using a browser rather than applications. For example, on Smart TV, movies freeze when watching online. and not through a video service application. To solve this, you need to clear the cache in the built-in Internet browser:
- Enter the menu and select a browser.
- Go to the settings section.
- Select the “Clear cache” line.
Using legacy software
Hardware manufacturers regularly release software updates for their smart TVs. Some device models independently check for new versions of the system and offer the user to update them, while on others this option can be disabled. Therefore, the user should himself regularly check for updates and install them.
If, for any reason, you cannot install new software on your TV, you can download it to your computer. For this you need:
Go to the official website of the equipment manufacturer.
- Find the section about software updates on Smart TV.
- Download the new version to your computer.
- Copy it to an external medium, for example, a USB stick.
- Connect the USB stick to the TV.
- In the menu, select the software installation via USB.
- Run the update file.
Faulty network equipment
A router or modem can also cause the TV to freeze or malfunction. It is worth updating the firmware of the network device if the Internet connection does not work:
- via a wireless network or cable;
- after resetting the factory settings of the router;
- when an error appears about getting network settings on the Smart TV screen.
Also, the problem may be on the side of the provider. For example, technical work or problems with signal transmission for interactive TV.

Human factor
It is impossible to exclude such a reason as the deceleration of the speed of the device due to its user. For example, children or adults may accidentally press a combination of buttons on the remote, which will launch background applications and fill up the device’s memory.
If your Smart TV starts to freeze after the child has played with the remote control, you can reset all the settings of the equipment to the factory settings. Each TV has a reset button – Reset. Most often it is located on the back or side surfaces of the case. It can be made in the form of a hole, which is pressed with a pen or paper clip.
Pressing this button resets all individual settings, returning the vehicle to its original state. It is worth considering that the software can also roll back to the version that was relevant at the time of purchase of the device.
Why is there no signal on the TV with a set-top box and what to do?
Many owners of equipment using a digital set-top box want to understand why there is no signal on the TV.In most cases, translation problems are easily resolved without calling a wizard or contacting a service center. It is worth talking in more detail about what to do if the signal on the set-top box disappears, how you can achieve troubleshooting.
Symptoms of malfunction
Situations when there is no signal on the TV are not so rare. At the first connection of still unconfigured equipment, with a software failure or incorrectly set parameters, modern TVs with a prefix usually show not “white noise”, but the corresponding inscription. If it appears, while there are no messages about preventive work on individual channels, you will have to study more carefully the possible ways of occurrence of a breakdown.
For example, if the set-top box breaks down, the signal from it does not come completely, when turned on, the screen saver of the brand that released it will not be broadcast on the screen. This can be considered a direct indication that the TV is in order. In addition, a broken set-top box does not respond to commands from the buttons and the remote control. If the flashed firmware is to blame, when turned on, the message Reboot may light up on the information display.
If the image on the screen is barely visible due to the noise grid, this is also a sign of a problem. It is necessary to study all possible sources of their occurrence. The disappearance of the signal at the time of watching TV programs belongs to the same category.
What is the reason?
There can be many reasons why the signal disappears on a digital TV set-top box, and they are not always directly related to malfunctions of the receiver itself. Moreover, most often the problems are temporary. When connecting via an antenna, the loss of the TV signal can be associated with other nodes involved in the connection. Sometimes the reception does not work due to maintenance or equipment imperfections. In bad weather, digital TV quite often does not show due to a large amount of interference and poor signal transmission.
The most common causes of such a malfunction should be considered in more detail.
- Equipment breakdown. Problems with signal transmission are not always caused by its poor quality. Antenna, receiver and TV also have components and blocks that can fail. It is necessary to check the serviceability of each element.
- Weather conditions. If the reason is precisely the precipitation, it is enough just to wait for the change in conditions outside the window. Sometimes only 1 channel package (10 out of 20) works, it is worth checking if all programs are missing.
- Accidents and technical work. They happen even with modern equipment. If the cause of the problem is a breakdown of the main signal source or its preventive shutdown, it is worth returning to TV viewing later. The channels will automatically return to their place in the broadcasting grid.
- Broadcast break. A number of channels broadcast non-round-the-clock, interrupting their work for 1-2 hours at night. It is worth using the program guide to clarify the details.
- Wrong TV data source selected. In the menu of the TV itself, the set-top box is usually connected via video channels, and not directly. It is worth making sure that when you connect it, the device was put into the desired mode.If the signal suddenly disappears, it is also better to check which mode is on: TV (outdated), AV, HDMI.
- Settings failed. In this case, the STB itself cannot find and broadcast channels. It happens quite often with cheap equipment.
- Weak signal. If the information on the TV screen reports something like this, the cause of the problem should be looked for in the antenna. Perhaps branches fell on it, there was a displacement due to gusts of wind. In addition, if the broadcast from the first connection goes with obvious failures, it is recommended to consider the possibility of installing a signal amplifier. Perhaps its source is simply at a considerable distance.
- Unable to configure the equipment, the TV “ignores” the set-top box. This problem is most often encountered by owners of new set-top boxes when connecting for the first time. In this case, on the TV screen, even if you do everything according to the instructions, the inscription “No signal” flaunts.
- Some channels are missing. In fact, digital TV signal receivers receive 2 multiplexes – packets of 10 programs each. If one of them is mandatory, broadcasted throughout the country, the second may work in certain regions in test mode or not be connected at all. Then you can search for additional channels as long as you like, they still won’t appear.
These are the main reasons why there is no broadcast signal on the TV when using a set-top box for digital TV broadcasting.
What to do?
To accurately determine the reasons for the lack of a signal on a TV with a digital set-top box, it is worth checking all possible sources of this kind of trouble. It is better to start by clarifying the presence of a signal on the provider’s website – they are in every region , if preventive work is carried out, data on this will certainly be found. In addition, you can check the quality of digital TV from your neighbors. If there is no signal on all devices in the house, you should wait for a while until it appears again.
In bad weather or when the antenna is located near sources of interference (for example, a busy road), transmissions may be interrupted for a short time. In this case, you will have to look for ways to move the antenna to the zone of a more reliable signal, or simply change its direction.
In identifying problems with technology, you need to act according to the situation.
- If the signal is interrupted, and with it the TV or set-top box turned off, you should make sure that the power supply to the house or apartment is not interrupted. When using sockets with surge protectors, you need to check if the shutdown button has worked, if necessary, press it.
- If the receiver is out of order or “freezes”, do not try to carry out repairs yourself, especially if the period of the factory warranty is still valid. You need to contact a specialist for diagnosis and possible detection of marriage.
- If a damaged cable or its pins are the source of the problem, simply purchase a replacement. This will completely restore the signal.
The malfunction of the TV in the case of the absence of a signal on it may be due to damage to the input responsible for the transmission of the “picture”. If it is damaged, the image will not appear, repair will be required. A temporary solution may be to use other connection methods to broadcast the digital signal from the antenna. In addition, the equipment can be damaged by a power surge in the network – in this case, it is better to contact the service center.
If the set-top box has a settings error, the only solution is to reset to factory state. It is carried out in accordance with the instructions attached by the manufacturer.
At the end of this process, you can re-make all the settings, search for channels.
If you identify an antenna problem as a source, check how tightly the cable is secured in the socket. In addition, is important to pay attention to the nature of the interference. If they continue for a long time, you need to change the direction of the antenna, experiment with mounting and installation. This will ensure reliable reception of the 20 main television channels. Sometimes it turns out that your own antenna amplifier is not enough, and there is only one way out – to buy new, more powerful equipment.
If you have a problem with the lack of channels on your TV after purchasing a set-top box, you should choose the simplest way. There is a “hot line” to help residents of the Russian Federation switch from analogue to digital broadcasting. In addition, sometimes a simple reboot of a set-top box that is already connected to the TV helps. And also it is worth checking the correctness of the input selection, especially if the connection is made through a “tulip”. As soon as the set-top box is recognized by the TV receiver, you can start auto-search for available channels in its menu.

Why is cable TV bad?
Cable TV is an analog TV, the TV signal of which is transmitted over coaxial cable , which goes to the subscriber.
Most common causes of cable TV failure:
- TV plug incorrectly installed or not fully inserted into the socket;
- Coaxial cable defective broken, cable exceeded service life, especially if the cable is copper-bonded. With such a cable, signal loss increases over time;
- Incorrect cable connection when connecting a TV divider when wiring to several TVs in an apartment or using low quality splitters;
- Also, a blurry image can be due to the large diagonal of the TV , since screens with a diagonal of 40 inches and above are designed for high-quality broadcasting, in particular – HD (1280 × 720) and Full HD (1920 × 1080).In turn, cable TV channels are broadcasted mainly in 720 × 576 resolution;
- The reasons for the deterioration / loss of the quality of the cable TV signal can be barbarity and unauthorized connections. The cable TV network is connected throughout the house and if you cut the cable, for example, on the 1st floor, then it is highly likely that this will affect the cable TV signal reception of the residents of the upper floors.
Ways to solve cable TV “bad picture” problems:
one. Check all connections, splitters , TV connectors . If, when checking, you see oxidized, rusty, damaged wiring elements, then they must be replaced. If a bad connection is found, then the F-connector must be reinstalled.
Check cable for damage. If the cable is pinched, it is also damaged.
2. If the cable TV is connected with a copper-bonded television cable, then to improve the signal quality, it is necessary to replace the copper-bonded cable with the copper .
3. If your TV does not support DVB-C standard, then you need to install digital set-top box that supports this standard. Digital set-top boxes on the modern television market are presented from the simplest ones (supporting only DVB-C standards, some also DVB-T2 to multifunctional ones (supporting, in addition to cable TV, satellite and terrestrial television, IPTV, Internet applications, etc.
