This intensive camp is not for the faint of heart – it’s tailored specifically for travel, all-star, and rep team players who are ready to take their skills to the next level.
What sets this camp apart from others? It’s the combination of rigorous training, expert coaching, and a focus on both physical and mental aspects of goaltending. Campers can expect to be challenged in ways they’ve never experienced before, all while learning from some of the top names in women’s hockey.
World-Class Coaching Staff: Learn from the Best

How do these coaches contribute to the camp’s success? Their diverse experiences and expertise allow them to provide a well-rounded approach to goalie training, covering everything from fundamental techniques to advanced strategies used at the highest levels of the sport.
Intensive On-Ice Training: Perfecting Your Game
The heart of the Girls Elite Goalie Camp lies in its comprehensive on-ice training program. With approximately 22 hours of intense instruction spread over six days, goalies will have ample opportunity to hone their skills and develop new ones.
Daily Training Schedule

- Monday-Friday: Two 90-minute sessions daily, focusing on specific skills and goals
- Additional 1-hour session exclusively for individual goalie development

What specific skills will goalies work on during these sessions? The curriculum covers a wide range of essential techniques, including:
- Stance and movement
- Angle play
- Rebound control
- Puck handling
- Save selection and technique
- Reading and reacting to offensive attacks
How does the camp ensure that goalies are constantly challenged? By employing a dedicated shooting staff comprised of pro, junior, collegiate, and AAA level players, the camp can adjust shot speed and strength based on each goalie’s age and experience level.
Advanced Training Techniques: Pushing the Boundaries
The Girls Elite Goalie Camp goes beyond traditional training methods to give participants a competitive edge. By incorporating cutting-edge techniques and technologies, goalies can accelerate their development and gain insights into their performance.
Innovative Training Tools
- Screen boards
- Deflection boards
- Mirrors
How do these tools enhance a goalie’s skills? They help sharpen anticipation, reaction time, and form, allowing goalies to make split-second decisions with greater accuracy and confidence.
Another key feature of the camp is the use of instant video feedback during on-ice sessions. This real-time analysis allows goalies to immediately see their performance, identify areas for improvement, and make adjustments on the spot.
Off-Ice Instruction: Building a Complete Goalie
Recognizing that goaltending success isn’t limited to on-ice performance, the Girls Elite Goalie Camp offers a comprehensive off-ice program. This accelerated training regimen focuses on various aspects of physical and mental preparation.
Key Components of Off-Ice Training
- Speed and agility training
- Shooting skills
- Stick handling circuit
- Team building exercises
- Techniques and tactics discussions
How does the camp address the mental aspects of goaltending? Through interactive lectures and discussions, goalies explore topics such as:
- Advantages and drawbacks of different goaltending styles
- Analysis of professional situations, saves, and breakdowns
- Mental preparation and visualization techniques
These sessions provide valuable insights into the psychological aspects of the position, helping goalies develop the mental toughness required to excel at higher levels of competition.
Physical Conditioning: Building the Ultimate Goalie Athlete
The Girls Elite Goalie Camp recognizes that top-tier goalies need to be exceptional athletes. To this end, the camp incorporates a rigorous physical conditioning program designed to enhance various aspects of a goalie’s physical performance.
Focus Areas for Physical Development
- Foot speed
- Agility
- Flexibility
- Core strength
- Balance
How does the camp approach these areas of physical development? Through a variety of specialized training methods and equipment, including:
- Ladder drills
- Gorilla steps
- Dot Drill mats
- Power Slide boards
- Medicine balls and resistance bands
By focusing on these key physical attributes, goalies can improve their overall performance on the ice, enhancing their ability to make quick, agile movements and maintain proper form throughout a game.
Team Building and Leadership Development
While goaltending can often feel like an isolated position, the Girls Elite Goalie Camp emphasizes the importance of teamwork and leadership. Through specially designed team challenge activities, goalies learn valuable lessons about cooperation, trust, and motivation.
How does the camp foster these qualities? By engaging goalies in group exercises and discussions that highlight the critical role of teamwork in hockey. These activities help goalies understand their position within the larger context of the team and develop the leadership skills necessary to inspire and support their teammates.
Key Team Building Concepts
- Communication skills
- Trust-building exercises
- Problem-solving challenges
- Leadership workshops
Why is this aspect of training important for goalies? As the last line of defense, goalies often play a crucial role in directing their teammates and maintaining team morale. By developing strong leadership and teamwork skills, goalies can have a more significant impact on their team’s overall performance.
Performance Evaluation and Feedback
One of the most valuable aspects of the Girls Elite Goalie Camp is its comprehensive approach to performance evaluation and feedback. Throughout the week, goalies receive ongoing assessments and constructive criticism to help them identify areas for improvement and track their progress.
Evaluation Methods
- Daily on-ice feedback from coaches
- Video analysis sessions
- Personalized stats from scrimmages and games
- Scouting reports from accredited player scouts
How do these evaluations benefit the goalies? By providing detailed, personalized feedback, the camp helps each participant understand their strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to focus their efforts on the areas that will have the most significant impact on their overall performance.
The culmination of the week’s training comes in the form of professionally coached end-of-week games. These games, complete with referees and personalized stats, give goalies the opportunity to showcase their newly honed skills in a competitive environment.
What makes these games particularly valuable? They provide a realistic simulation of high-level competition, allowing goalies to test their improvements under pressure and receive final feedback from coaches and scouts.
Preparing for the Next Level: College and Beyond
For many participants in the Girls Elite Goalie Camp, the ultimate goal is to compete at the collegiate level and potentially pursue professional opportunities. The camp’s curriculum and coaching staff are uniquely positioned to help goalies prepare for these higher levels of competition.
College Preparation Aspects
- Exposure to college-level training techniques
- Insights into collegiate recruiting processes
- Guidance on balancing academics and athletics
- Networking opportunities with college coaches
How does the camp help goalies stand out to college recruiters? By providing high-level training and evaluation from respected coaches and scouts, the camp gives participants the skills and exposure needed to catch the eye of college programs.
Beyond college, the camp also offers glimpses into the world of professional women’s hockey. With coaches and instructors who have competed at the highest levels, goalies gain valuable insights into what it takes to succeed in the pro ranks.
What unique perspective do these professional players bring to the camp? They can share first-hand experiences about the challenges and rewards of playing at the elite level, providing inspiration and practical advice for aspiring professional goalies.
The CAN/AM Philosophy: Developing Complete Goalies
At the core of the Girls Elite Goalie Camp is the CAN/AM philosophy, which emphasizes the development of complete goalies who excel in all aspects of the game. This holistic approach to goalie training sets the camp apart from others and contributes to its reputation as one of the premier development programs for young female goalies.
Key Elements of the CAN/AM Philosophy
- Balance of physical and mental training
- Emphasis on both individual skills and team play
- Focus on developing adaptable, well-rounded goalies
- Commitment to pushing players beyond their comfort zones
How does this philosophy benefit goalies in the long term? By developing a comprehensive skill set and a strong mental game, goalies who embrace the CAN/AM approach are better equipped to handle the challenges they’ll face as they progress to higher levels of competition.
The camp’s motto, “Sacrifice, sweat, and countless hours of repetition and practice,” encapsulates this philosophy. It reminds participants that success in hockey requires more than just talent – it demands dedication, hard work, and a willingness to push oneself to new limits.
Why is this mindset crucial for aspiring elite goalies? As the level of competition increases, the margins between success and failure become increasingly thin. Goalies who have internalized the CAN/AM philosophy are better prepared to put in the extra effort needed to stand out and succeed at the highest levels of the sport.

Girls Camp – Midwest Goalie School
MGS Girls Camp is a new concept first brought to the lineup in the summer of 2015 and has proved to be a giant success, consistently selling out and attracting phenomenal talent of goalies varying from mites to midget AAA.
“Growing up a student of the camps, I remember that every summer there would be one or two girls that would come to MGS and absolutely dominate on the ice. When I transitioned to a coach I, along with Chico and Kelly Gee, were so impressed with not only how talented some of these female goalies were but how they were year in and year out the nicest and hardest working students in the camp. Alex Rigsby, Corinne Boyles, Erin Callahan, Erin Kirchiver, all whom played NCAA D1 hockey, just to name a few, made their names coming to MGS. It was upon my recollection of this, coupled with the fact that the market in Chicago has exploded for girls hockey over the last handful of years, I felt it was our obligation to form a camp specifically designed to nurture the growing talent and prove that stopping a puck knows no gender. Everybody comes together to make the group of 18 goalies better, stronger, and more educated in what it takes to become an elite level female goalie.” – Eric Levine
This camp brings the best of both worlds as MGS brings back some of their top female goalies playing college or pro hockey to teach, along with the full time staff and use both male and female paid shooters. Open to goalies of all ages, Younger and Older groups will be made after final roster is set and each will go through their own off ice program involving goalie specific hip strengthening exercises, flexibility practice, agility training and a professional yoga session.
Students will go through the MGS curriculum on the ice, abiding by our 30:90 model. The first 30 minutes will be focused goalie skating and puck playing drills, followed by 90 minutes of in net drills. Goalies will be divided into groups of 3 based on skill level for on ice stations and the corresponding variations of drills will be tailored to the overall age and needs of the group.

Goalie Evolution Academy — LXTC
Directed and coached by Trevor Tierney and Ryan LaPlante
The challenges facing lacrosse goalies today are immense. The position is one of the hardest to play in all of sports, yet there are very few coaches out there who know how to train goalies in an effective manner. Also, a lot of the traditional teachings for goalies that most coaches use are outdated and ill-conceived for today’s game.
In response to these problems, LXTC has decided to create the Goalie Evolution Academy directed by Trevor Tierney and Ryan LaPlante. This academy is a ten-week, high-end and advanced clinic for goaltenders from 10-18 years old. The size of the clinic will be limited to 20 spaces so that each goalie gets plenty individualized attention throughout the ten week program. Personalized evaluations will be given to each goalie as well at the end of the program.
Trevor Tierney is the only goalie in the history of the game to have won an NCAA Championship (with Princeton University in 1998 and 2001), a MLL Championship (with Baltimore Bayhawks in 2005), and a FIL World Championship (with Team USA in 2002). Trevor won the NCAA DI Outstanding Goalie of The Year as he led the nation in save percentage and goals against. He grew up learning how to play goalie from his father, Coach Bill Tierney, and all of the great goalies of that time including Larry Quinn, Quint Kessenich, Scott Baciagalupo, Bill Daye, and Sal Locasio. From that background, he created a curriculum entitled the, “Evolution In Goaltending” to help younger goalies that is available to watch for free on YouTube. Trevor also served as an assistant coach at the University of Denver for the past six years where he coached the goalies and helped guide the team to their first ever National Championship.
One of Trevor’s greatest protegés, Ryan LaPlante, grew up playing lacrosse in Colorado. These two goalies and friends started working together when Ryan was only 13 years old. Ryan grew into one of the finest college goalies in the nation at the DI level, and led the University of Denver to win the 2015 National Championship. Ryan has taken what he learned from Trevor and shaped it into his own style and built upon it to pass down to future generations of goalies.
Both Trevor and Ryan are excited to start their first full-time goalie academy together and they hope to make it a continuous year-round opportunity for Colorado lacrosse goalies to grow and develop from. Both Trevor and Ryan get requests all the time to do individual lessons, but unfortunately due to busy lifestyles, those are an impossibility, which is why they are bringing this opportunity to goalies and their families.

Football Skill Academy Football Training Camp
Hello! Maxim 2003 and Dima 2007 were in the camp in 3 and 4 rounds. We flew there with great joy, because were still last year and knew what awaited them there. Now, when the Summer Championship games have continued after the holidays, we, parents, can observe the results of training in the summer camp. In his football school “Chertanovo” Dima plays as a defender, and earlier, when approaching the goal, an opponent felt a certain fear of losing the ball or hitting the goal.He tried to give a pass to the attacker. Of course, this is correct, given his position. But now he has more self-confidence in his soul, and he knows that he himself can break through! And our head coach transferred him to the strongest four of the team and even named him Marcelo!) We would like to say special thanks to Dimin’s coaches in the camp – Suchkov Denis Nikolaevich, who not only developed his abilities, but also brought up human qualities. Also Dima’s coach in the 4th race – Vitaly Olegovich Rozhkov.Vitaly Olegovich was Dima’s coach in the 2016 season and, of course, Dima was very happy to be on his team again. Our eldest son Maxim improved his qualifications in the oldest group. I think that the coaches Maxim Valerievich Sukhomlinov, Sergey Sergeevich Krokha and Alexander Valerievich Nikolayenko coped with the most difficult task, finding an approach to 14-16-year-olds! Thank you for not setting a rigid framework for them and allowing them to fool around a little, and sometimes you did it with them.So we were on the same wavelength with them and understood them! That’s cool! Thanks to the organizers of the camp for the thoughtful program, effective training, interesting evening events, prizes and awards! And, of course, let’s not forget that the camp is located on the Black Sea coast, where children not only improve their skills, but also gain health for the entire next academic year. Next year, if the schedule of games and trainings allows, we will definitely be with you! And yes: from the wishes we would like to, as in the camp in 2016.children were tested at the beginning and at the end of the race. So that we can see the results of their training and enjoy their success.

- receive and transmit
- maintenance
- juggling

These are the basic skills that we focus on in all exercises. But also, in independent training, special attention is paid to deceiving movements, blows. All, without exception, the years of training camps showed serious progress of basic indicators when tested at the end of the shift. With tests of , the correctness of the implementation of technical elements, individual and team tactical interactions, physical development are analyzed. 90,000 Psychologist’s advice – preparing for summer camp
By the time your child breaks into the house screaming, “Hurray! Holidays!”, It would be nice
to decide what he will do in the summer.
Psychologists believe that if a child is 7-9 years old, he is healthy in body and soul, then rest
with peers separately from his parents is simply necessary for him. Your child is growing up, he needs
“get rid of the umbilical cord”, and the youth camp in this case is an excellent vaccine
independence.
Before deciding to buy a camp ticket, look at your child
impartially. Of course, you have it the best, the most wonderful! What else?
Independent – dependent, proactive cheerleader or timid quiet, accurate
or hot daredevil. He had situations in his life when he was alone for a long time without
parents, will he be able to stand up for himself, is it easy to converge with peers, is he able to follow the
cleanliness of their body and clothing. All this is important!
And the problems of summer health camps remained the same. Here are both junior and senior
schoolchildren and their parents most often face the same experiences, with
questions of adaptation of the child in the camp.
Of course, at first he will have to experience some stress. After the arrival of the child at the camp,
within 2–5 days the child is adapting to a new place and team. For this period
accounts for the largest number of calls home, with requests to pick up a child from the camp
(especially if this is the child’s first independent trip).
Psychologists recommend that parents not succumb to the child’s despondency, and try to adjust it
in an optimistic way, to convince that he is already an adult, and his parents are proud of him
independence.
Usually from the second week of camp, when the child makes friends,
actively participate in camp life, calls home generally stop. Very important, in advance
to warn the child what he may face and in what ways he can solve this or
a different problem.
I emphasize that first he must try to solve it himself and only then turn to
for help
counselors or parents. The fact that mobile communication is now available is great. But many
modern children are so accustomed to call their parents on any trifle that calls are not uncommon
from girls to mothers – what dress to wear at the disco.
When sending a child, you need to educate him about how much money is on his mobile account,
how much an outgoing call costs, how often it should get in touch. It happens that
themselves
parents prevent their children from leading a normal camp life. How a child will feel,
whom mom calls after each meal with questions, what and how he ate? Not worth
worry that children will go hungry – this practically does not happen if there is a boy for lunch
refused the cutlets, then for dinner he will ask for the addition of porridge.
The biggest challenge is adapting to a new team. What to say about children,
even if adults who come to a new place of work or go on vacation with a stranger
companies think about how relationships with new people will develop.
According to scientists, each person with his characteristic type lives in his own “stressful background”
of the social environment, showing selective sensitivity to various kinds of influences and
definitely reacting to them.Symptoms of maladjustment can be aggression towards people and things,
excessive mobility, constant fantasies, feelings of inadequacy. Stubbornness,
inadequate fears, hypersensitivity, inability to concentrate, lack of confidence in
making any, even simple, decisions, increased excitability and conflict,
frequent emotional disorders, feeling different from others, deceit, noticeable
solitude, excessive gloom and discontent.
Teach him to rest.
Some parents do not send their children to camp for reasons of principle:
will pick up there it is not known what, it will be contacted by someone unknown, the food is probably awful,
discipline and collectivization – you cannot understand, whether it is an army, or a prison. In general, it is better to let it be from sin
will get bored farther away in the country. There, too, the air is fresh.
Other parents, on the contrary, send – and how! On a trade union ticket with a discount, for all
three shifts so that it doesn’t get in the way under your feet. The child is fed, looked after, doctors are watching him –
What else do you need? But parents can work calmly and relax.
These two seemingly opposite positions actually have a common flaw. They do not contain
words are not said about what the child will do – in the country, in the camp.
Proper rest is a great art that can and should be learned. If your child is
will go to an interesting camp, we can assume that he was lucky: he will not receive the experience of a long and
tedious idleness, which usually reigns in the resorts, and invaluable lessons of outdoor activities.
But, suppose, for some reason, you still cannot send your child to the camp from
rich cultural program. Then take care of his camp leisure and vivid impressions
falls on your shoulders. No, this does not mean that you urgently need to quit your job and go to
camp as a counselor. But the child can receive appropriate instruction from you about
spend your free time in a boring camp as interesting as possible. And then he will have a chance
to become an organizer of unforgettable leisure activities yourself.
Teach him intellectual games, give an idea to stage a small “home” performance,
to organize a fashion show or carnival. Surely counselors will support such undertakings, provided that
that the children will promise to do everything themselves.
So the basics of entertainment science will come in handy in an ordinary camp.
Child Psychologist Tips:
If you decide to send your child to the camp, then you need to prepare him for possible
problems and together in advance to look for ways to solve them. It’s good if for the first time a child
will go not alone, but with a friend – together it is easier to get comfortable in an unfamiliar environment.
Even in the best camp, children will miss home, so you need to give them a
favorite toys, interesting books. If suddenly the child has become unusually quiet and withdrawn, talk to the counselor,
doctor, find out the reasons for this mood.
What if the kid asks to be picked up from “this awful place”? Don’t fall for
the temptation to immediately go to “rescue” the child, but take a balanced approach to solving the problem.
Find out what he doesn’t like there (bad company, strict counselors, bad food). But already
if you decided to pick it up before the end of the shift, come and take it away, but do not settle
is near – do not try to solve his problems for the child.
When collecting your child for the camp, take care of the clothes – buy what his peers wear. In this
at the age of clothes plays the role of a kind of signal: “our” – “stranger”, so a teenager so
it is important to be dressed not only comfortably, but also psychologically comfortable. If the son or daughter has
non-standard figure – all the more you should take care of a fashionable “outfit”, pick up things
stylish, hiding body flaws.

90,000 Camp competitions. Games, quizzes, competitions in the camp for children.Preparation for the event at the summer camp
The time of childhood is the time for games and entertainment. We offer a series of contests and games for schools, camps.
COMPETITIVE GAME PROGRAMS
Competitive play programs (CIP) can be conducted both within the school or children’s camp, and within the class or detachment. The instrumentation is simple:
1. Competitions. Emphasis on the moment of competition (the child performs actions in front of an audience).
2.Game form. There must be an element of play, entertainment.
3. Inclusion in competitions of the maximum number of children, so that everyone will try their hand at this or that competition.
4. Awarding not only the winners, but also the participants of the competition.
In our opinion, it is inappropriate to prescribe the text for those who lead the instrumentation, since in the competitive game program often all the pre-prepared words of the moderators are not spoken. Instead, there is a lively dialogue between the presenter and the competing participants.

The lesson develops imaginative thinking, logic.

Summer holidays for children – the most wonderful time! That is why it is so important for its organizers to make it rich, interesting, exciting, and also useful both for health and for the development of a full-fledged personality. A very striking example of this is competitions in the camp for children. How to organize them correctly, what scenarios to use for their implementation – this will be discussed in this article.
Creative contests in the camp for children
It’s no secret that many guys just love to draw. And the most common is the asphalt drawing competition. It can be a separate thematic event or one of the parts of a larger one. When developing contests in a camp for children, it should be remembered that the main thing in them is not victory, but participation. Therefore, it is necessary to reward not only the winners, but also all participants without exception. You can also run wall newspaper and poster contests. And the exhibition is a real journey into a fairy tale! And let the guys themselves evaluate, throwing their token into the closed piggy banks placed in front of each craft. You can give the guys three different-colored cardboard rounds worth 1, 2 and 3 points. There are interesting contests in the camp for children for staging fairy tales or songs, for expressive reading of poetry, for the best performance of numbers. It is appropriate to hold these events in and attract guests to them: moms, dads, grandmothers, grandfathers, sisters and brothers. Let them, together with the children, draw and sing, dance and solve riddles!
in summer camp
Everyone’s favorite “Merry Starts” is popular with both adults and kids. They are next to them in the first lines in the rating of the competition “Mom, Dad, I am a close-knit family.”
An entire program of a sporting event can be developed, which includes a team orienteering competition, moving around the terrain with obstacles, guessing charades and performing creative tasks. For example, each team is given a plan with a specified checkpoint. There the participants are met by consultants or judges. After completing a certain task (guessing a charade or a rebus, depicting a live picture, performing an amateur performance number), team members receive the following plan with a marked second checkpoint. And in the “waybill” the judges make a note: you can indicate the number of points received, based on the time of arrival and the quality of the task.
Contest “Miss and Mister Camp”
Perhaps this is one of the favorite activities in the children’s team. They spend it already in the second half of the shift, when sympathy has been determined. Those who wish to take part in it are invited to the stage. It is best to start the holiday with a concert program. Each competitor will show what he has prepared, and independent judges will evaluate the performances on a ten-point system. Then you can hold a “beauty contest”. It’s best to make it funny. For example, you might ask everyone to choose an attribute of clothing in order to present it to viewers as the “squeak of fashion.” Newspapers, medical bandages, a plastic wicker bread basket, a dog collar, a colander and other, at first glance, completely inappropriate items will act as attributes. The humor and resourcefulness of the contestants is assessed. Then the representatives of the stronger sex are invited to invite the lady that they liked the most to dance. The judges give marks to the couples. And the points scored by the participants should now be added: the competition will be doubles. It is conducted “on tickets”, which contain tasks such as: “to portray a pantomime a commotion before the school principal arrives at the house” or “a meeting in the forest with a wild tiger – a pantomime”. Couples can be given a few minutes to prepare. After such a contest, Miss and Mister will be determined for sure!
All educators know that children learn best through play. Therefore, the entire educational process must be structured in such a way that they are simply interested. But it should also be noted that during the rest, the child must learn about the world and gain new knowledge. In this article, I would like to consider various competitions in the camp for children: funny, mobile, but most importantly, educational.
Competition “Who can count better”
The first comic competition game will tell you which team can count better. To do this, you need to create two groups of children, in which there will be 8 people. The guys line up, and numbers from 1 to 8 are attached to their backs, randomly.Children do not know what number they have on their back, but they can see the number of the player in front. The essence of the competition: line up as soon as possible so that the score is correct.
Competition “Artist, or Like a chicken with a paw”
You can also use creative competitions in the camp for children. Here, for example, is an excellent competition that will help reveal a non-standard artist in a child. To do this, you need to take one person from each squad. The essence of the game: you need to draw a drawing (the same for everyone) using a pencil and feet (not hands!).For example, a house or a flower. Whoever does the best won.
Competition “Crocodile”
It should also be remembered that competitions in the camp for children should also be very fun. So why not play good old Crocodile with the kids? To do this, you need to choose one person who will be the presenter. Children from different teams sit in front of the main player and try to guess what he is showing. In this case, the presenter should not use words or other sound prompts. The winner is the team that scores the most points for the entire competition. Each guess by a team member is 1 point.
Competition “Cooks”
You should also remember that competitions in the camp for children should also teach children something useful. This is exactly what this competition is. For him, children are divided into two teams, one of which “cooks” soup, the other – compote. That is, the participants must take turns calling the vegetables or fruits. And so on, until one team knows what to say. Alternatively, it can be a captains’ competition, where the name of vegetables and fruits will not be a whole team, but only one person.
In search of treasures
When choosing interesting contests for children in the camp, you must not forget to organize a game for the children called “In search of treasures.” To do this, you need to hide the treasure in a certain area and hang out hints that should help the players move forward. As a result, the winner is the team that found the treasure before the others. Attention: this competition also requires adults. After all, it is best to hide the treasure somewhere in the forest.
Animals
What other contests are there for children in the camp? Merry! So, you can just fool around. For this, the guys are divided into two teams. The players of one meow, the other grunts. Then everyone is blindfolded, the children are mixed with each other. Purpose of the game: with your eyes closed, find all members of your team, holding hands in a chain as a result.
Contest for attentiveness
This is an individual competition. That is, everyone here plays for himself.Although, as a result, the winner can also represent the entire team. So, all the children stand in a row. When the leader says “sea” – everyone should jump forward, “land” – back. Also, the presenter can say “water”, “river”, “lake” and so on, that is, everything that refers to water. And the same with land. Variations: “shore”, “earth”, “sand”. Those of the children who jump incorrectly are eliminated from the game. There should be one person who will bring the winning ball to his team.
Portrait
It often happens that you have to spend some time in a building. To do this, you need to have in reserve various contests for children, in the camp indoors which can be held without much difficulty. An excellent competition in this case is for the ability to draw. So, each player chooses a “victim”, that is, the person he draws (from those present). Further, all other participants must guess who is depicted in the portrait. The winner is the one whose drawing is recognized by more people.
Prize
We consider further contests and games for children in the camp. So, you can ask the children to get the prize as soon as possible. That is, a large barn lock is hung on a drawer or cabinet. Children are given a bunch of keys, among which they need to find the right one as soon as possible. If there is no way to hide something interesting, you just need to ask the children to pick up the key to the lock.
Young sculptors
There are also very funny contests in the summer camp for children. For example, all the kids will definitely like the “Sculptor” game. The props here are simple: balls and scotch tape. From the inflated balloons, you need to glue a man or a woman so that it is as similar to the original as possible.Next, you will have to explain your creation, so the most fun will be yet to come.
Sports competition “Marine”
You can play this game in the gym, which, by the way, will be even better. Here – every man for himself. An admiral is chosen, that is, the commander-in-chief of the ship. He will give orders that players must obey.
- “Starboard!” – all the kids run to the right wall.
- “Port side!” – the guys run to the left wall.
- “Korma” – children go to the back wall.
- “Nose” – towards the front.
- Set sail! After this command, everyone should immediately stop and raise their hands.
- “Scrubbing the deck!” In this case, all children pretend to wash the floor.
- “Cannonball!” After this command, all children squat.
- “Admiral on board!” In this case, the children should freeze and “salute” the commander-in-chief.
Out of the game is the person who did the wrong command or was the last to run to the wall. And so on until one or more players remain.
Fill up the mammoth
There are also very funny and at the same time sports competitions for children in the camp. This game is more suitable for junior squads. To do this, you need to imagine that the whole team is a tribe. The counselor chooses a mammoth, that is, the one who needs to be piled onto the nearest bed or mat. In principle, there can be no winners. But you can try to keep track of how long this or that mammoth will last.
Aiming game
You need to choose those games, contests for children in the summer camp that kids really, really like. So, guys love the following fun, which also develops accuracy. To do this, put a plate of sand or flour on the stool. All children in turn should throw there, being at a certain distance, a coin or a bottle cap. The team with the most items in the bowl wins.
Games on paper
If you can’t go outside and even to the gym, you can keep yourself busy with a very fun and simple game. To do this, all participants are given a piece of paper and a pen.One long word is chosen, from which the participants need to add many small ones. There can be two winners here. One – who has added the most words. Another is who of the longest word has put together the longest.
You can also play the good old “Sea Battle”.
If it is very boring
What other contests can there be for children in the day camp? Why not start your day in a good mood? To do this, all the children sit in a row, and each says a compliment to his friend or wishes something good.It can also make you make a funny face.
Make a mummy
The kids also really like the contest game, the goal of which is to make a mummy out of a person using toilet paper. That is, you need to wrap the player so that he looks like her as much as possible. The winner is the one whose mummy the audience likes best.
As a small conclusion, I would like to say that when choosing games, quizzes, contests for children in the camp, you need to take into account not only the age of the kids, but also their interests. After all, you need to work with different children in completely different ways. Someone needs more sports competitions, someone – fun, and someone – intellectual.
How to make the summer holidays that children spend in leisure centers, tourist or sports camps comfortable and interesting? How to entertain children, how to introduce each other and help them get comfortable in a new environment? Of course, with the help of general squadron affairs, events, competitions and a variety of fun and educational entertainment. Therefore, counselors and organizers of children’s recreation before the start of the season would be nice to replenish their “game piggy bank”.
Proposed games and contests for children’s summer vacations
is a selection of interesting new and popular old entertainment, mostly of a creative and educational nature, ideal for organizing children’s summer activities.
1. Developing creative game “Word game”.
The game is suitable for children from primary school age.Children are lined up in a circle. Their hands should touch so that one child’s right palm rests on top of the other’s left palm.
The game begins with a countdown, after which the presenter names the area of reality from which the word should be named:
We will find words everywhere: in the sky and in the water,
On the floor, on the ceiling, on the nose and on the hand.
Have you heard that? It doesn’t matter, we play the word …
Lead:
Looking for words in … the sky!
Here children in a circle, at a fast pace, must name something that occurs in the sky: a bird, an airplane, a cloud, the sun. When calling a word, a person slaps his palm on the palm of his neighbor.
If one of the children got confused and did not say a word or called it, but it was wrong, then he is out of the game. At the same time, the presenter starts reading the counting rhyme again, and the topic changes.
2. Creative game “Wonder-yudo-fish-whale”.
Announce to the children that now they will draw an animal, but not a simple one, but a fantasy one. To do this, divide the guys into teams of three people and give each group a sheet of paper folded in three according to the principle of an accordion.
The first member of each team must draw the head of any animal – it cannot be named to anyone. The leader must also watch so that the rest of the team does not see what the first player is drawing. Why you can build partitions from books on the table. Having wrapped part of the sheet with the drawn animal head inward, the sheet is passed to the second player. He draws the body of any beast; the third one needs to complete the drawing with “feet”, that is, with paws, flippers, hooves, claws, etc.
As soon as the drawing is over, invite the teams to unfold the sheets and look at their wonderful animal.Be sure to provide these masterpieces for review by the rest of the teams, and then offer to jointly come up with names for the received “monsters”. The best name is supposed to be awarded with a sweet prize.
An exhibition of the created drawings will be a good ending to the game.
3. The game “Neither .., nor me ..”
Many, probably, have heard that about those who do not answer the question posed, they say that he is: “no, no me.” The essence of this creative game
is that you have to say your “be” and “me”, and the opponents have to guess what you mean.
So, the guys are divided into equal teams and receive a card with the name of the tale, an excerpt from which they must tell using only the first syllables. For example. The tale “Turnip” will look like this: “By de re. You are re bo bo. Ty de re, but you are not my … “. The second team guesses and proposes its own version.
This is not so much a competition as just an excuse to have fun (it is better to stock up on more cards with fairy tales, for sure, the guys will want to repeat this fun again).
4.”High-speed mail”.
This kind of fun is best done at the very beginning of the season, it gives the opportunity to playfully focus on the names of all participants. Preparing for it, the organizer needs to draw two large posters with the names: Vitya, Nina, Sasha, Klava, Daria, Julia, Sonya, Kira, Slava, Borya. But you need to write these names so that you can cut them in half afterwards. We put the sheets with the endings of the names on two tables at the finish line. We cut the rest of both leaves into strips so that the beginning of each name falls on a separate card: Vi, Ni, Sa, Kla, Dar, Yu, So, Ki, Sla, Bo.These cards will be the “letters” that zealous workers of “high-speed mail” should deliver to the addressee.
We recruit three or four little postmen for each team and give them a back bag containing cards with the beginning of the names mentioned. Their task is to quickly go to the table, open their bag, get the first card they come across and correctly attach it to the end of the name written on the sheet. Then the child returns to his team and gives the bag to the next player.
The team receives three points for the quick completion of the task. Then points are awarded one for each correct name. The winners in this dating game are determined by the total score.
5. Fun game “Cuckoo, sing in your ear!”
The organizer of the game explains the condition to whom he will unexpectedly (!) Point with his hand (or a pointer), must quickly show his answer not with words, but with a movement, while everyone shouts in chorus: “That’s it!”
How are you?
– That’s it! (you can show your thumb)
– How do you swim?
– That’s it! (show swimmer movements)
– And you see?
– That’s it!
– Are you running?
– That’s it!
– Are you waiting for lunch?
– That’s it!
– Are you waving after?
– That’s it!
– Do you sleep in the morning?
– That’s it!
– How are you naughty?
– That’s it!
7.”Little Princes and Princesses”.
First, it is worth telling the children a little about the Little Prince and his wonderful travels to different planets with such funny and even sad inhabitants like the King, Rose and Lamb. It would be very nice for the general cultural development to show the kids reproductions of Exupery’s author’s drawings and to clarify that the writer not only invented his characters out of his head and recorded in the words of his characters, but also painted them.
Then you can invite the kids and themselves to be “authors” and come up with their own planet with special inhabitants. And then, like little princes, travel on them. To do this, they will need inflated balloons and colored markers. Let the presenter show you how you can draw different inhabitants of this small blue, pink or green planet on a ball using felt-tip pens. Moreover, warn the guys that these will not necessarily be people: you can dream up and come up with some new creatures.
We do not recommend giving children a time limit, as this will reduce the level of creativity.Give your little ones the opportunity to express themselves in a relaxed environment, and then ask everyone to talk about their inhabitants.
8. According to the “Stages of development”.
Scenarios for the summer school camp (Games, contests).
Summer camp is never boring.
Every day new interesting contests,
song events and lots of fun.

Not one, not two, not three, but seven, look!

“On the seas, on the waves …”
We invite you guys to take a fascinating journey along the rivers and seas. Why did we choose the nautical theme, you ask? Therefore, the sea is a symbol of light, space and freedom. How many artists, poets, composers have dedicated their works to the seas and rivers! And how many interesting films the directors have made! I’ll tell you guys, I’m talking about the ocean now.
The kid-neighbor asked the other day
At the trickle pouring from the tap:
Where are you from? Water in response:
From afar, from the ocean.
Then the baby walked in the forest,
The glade sparkled with dew.
Where are you from? – asked the dew.
– Believe me, and I’m from the ocean!
You soda, why are you sizzling?
And from the bubbling glass came a whisper:
– Know, baby, and I came from the ocean.
A gray-haired fog lay on the field,
The kid also asked the fog:
Where are you from? Who are you?
– And I, my friend, from the ocean.
Surprising, isn’t it?
In soup, in tea, in every drop,
In a ringing piece of ice, and in a teardrop,
And in a rain, and in a dewdrop
We will always respond to
Ocean water.

“Fight – Gel – Show”
Good evening, girls!
Good evening, boys!
Good evening, “LESNAYA POLYANA” !….
Only today you are sitting in this hall somewhat unusual, because you and I are at … (the hall shouts: “Boy-Gel-Show”!). Well done! A show is always a holiday, it is always a game .. But, like any game, we have our own rules. So, what can and cannot be done on our show? I will call these rules, and you will show them. Did you agree? Throughout the evening you can:
stomp and clap! (audience shows)
scream and hoot!
dance and sing!
greet each other with applause!
boys greet girls with a whistle!
girls – screeching!
air kisses can be sent to each other!
wave your hands!
And just greet each other!
You all understood the rules, and now I want to introduce you to our esteemed jury, headed by ………………………………………… (presentation of the jury)
I suggest you go in search of the truth. And where is this truth to look for? We thought, thought, and did not come up with anything better how to travel back in time. You are ready? … Do you want this? .. Can you do it? What do you think, in which century is it better to start looking for the truth of the eternal dispute? Well, of course, in stone! Close your eyes …
(space music sounds)
And now, we find ourselves in the Stone Age. What were people doing there? What was going on there? I will name the various actions, and you will show them.
Men hunted animals …
threw stones … and threw spears …
Women fanned the fire … and collected roots …
Men shot from a bow … and chased animals with shouts …
Women spanked disobedient children … and grinned their teeth …
And all together they jumped around the fire, thinking that they are at the disco !….
And now we are inviting our participants to the stage – 1 boy and 1 girl from each squad.
(Rhythmic music sounds, the teams go up to the stage;
participants call their names)
So, let’s start our first competition. Of course, the very first thing that ancient people, ancient men, went to do was “hunting for a mammoth”.
1. Mammoth hunting competition.
To participate in this competition, we invite our boys to go down to the hall.
“Mammoth” will be a regular inflatable ball.Spectators chase the “mammoth” around the hall, the participant who touched the ball gets it. Contestants can move around the rows.
(rhythmic music sounds)
To participate in the next competition, I invite our girls
What did ancient women do in those distant times? While the men hunted mammoths, the women rested. As soon as the men returned with their prey, the women began to carve the skins of mammoths in order to sew clothes for their husbands. Our next contest is called “Skins stitching”.
2. Competition “Sewing of skins”
Participants need to “sew” a large strip of skins on the stage. And “skins” are the clothes of the spectators. Contestants can go down to the auditorium, spectators cannot go up to the stage.
(Here and in subsequent competitions, the Host, together with the audience, counts from 1 to 10 and the competition ends).
3. Competition “Rock Painting”
Each participant of the competition is given a jar of gouache of any color and a brush. Boys paint “portraits” of girls on “rocks” and stones, and girls – portraits of boys. The winner is the one who draws the best portrait.
(The jury announces the winner).
You and I saw that in the Stone Age we were stronger …
Maybe in the Middle Ages everything was the other way around? A dead silence ensues in the hall … our “time machine” is working.
(Space music sounds)
And we are getting ready to portray what men and women were doing in the Middle Ages.
Men fought with swords and swords …
Women waved handkerchiefs at them … and pretended to be afraid of them.
Men sang serenades under the windows to the girls ..
And the girls shyly turned away and blushed …
Men galloped on horses …
Women shook in carriages and fainted …
For the next competition I invite girls.
Here are charming, beautiful girls standing before you. They do not yet know that they will have to travel far, far. The fact is that the favorite pastime of men of that time were “crusades”. This is the name of this competition!
4.Competition “Crusades”
Assignment: the girls are given military commands. Sitting astride their “horse” (mop), the girls execute commands.
The girl who followed the orders most accurately and faithfully wins.
Commands:
Company, knock on horses! Right! Left! Around! In a circle at a trot, march!
Stand in one line!
(The jury sums up the results of the competition).
I invite boys to participate in the next competition.
Of course, in the Middle Ages, girls were very fond of balls.
Oh, what balls they were! .. What dresses they were! .. And what hairstyles they were! Our next contest is called “Hairstyle”.
5. Hairdo competition
(1 girl from each squad with accessories is invited to the stage)
(While the teams in the front row are preparing their “masterpieces”, a game is held with the audience.)
But that’s not all. The XX century awaits us!
In the 20th century:
Men fly on airplanes …
Women milk cows …
Men watch football …
Women repair rails …
And all together – they have fun at discos !….
6. Find your half
Girls are blindfolded and by their hair they must identify their boys who are sitting in the same row.
7. Competition “Cinderella’s Shoe”
All competitors will take part in the next competition. Blindfolded boys will have to put on their girls’ shoes. Girls take off their shoes, shoes are dumped in a common heap. Boys look for shoes by touch and dress them for their girls.
8. The most observant
Boys and girls stand in two rows with their backs to each other. In turn, each one is asked questions:
– What color … .. is your partner?
– How many buttons does your lady have on her blouse?
– What color is the hairpin?
– What kind of shoes does your boy have?

36.6 (YOUNG DOCTORS)
Dear guys, I don’t like you! Sit all day in beds, do not go to sports fields. So you in our camp will not live up to the end of the race. Just eat and lie on the beds – you can get shortness of breath. Measures are needed, then maybe they will also survive, at least they will survive until the end of the shift. Our game is called 36.6. It is 36.6 – the normal temperature of a healthy person. Health is the greatest value given by nature to man, but like all values, it can be lost. Each person should be able to take care of their body, otherwise it is difficult to hope for good health, well-being, and relationships with others. And also all people should live in movement, because movement is life. And you in our camp should not be passive. Well, if you do get sick and your body is in danger, the first thing to do is see a doctor. A polyclinic is a medical institution where specialist doctors work. Every medical specialty has a name that can be long and difficult to pronounce because it is of Greek or Latin origin. And now all together we will try to understand the names of specialist doctors.
1 Competition “Who heals”
Children are offered cards with the names of medical specialties, which are written out of order with the decoding of the activities of a particular specialist. The task: to put an appropriate lesson against each doctor.

4 Competition “Neuropathologist”

It is a worthy thing to bring people health! But a person, in order not to go to doctors, must take care of himself, he must take care of his health. Remember: no one cares about you better than yourself.
We wish you that your body temperature is always 36.6.Be healthy!

Question on the agenda:

Nose in love with fragrances,
Nose drooping, guilty.
Nose covered from frost,
Reddened like a rose.
Nose cold, snotty
And pecking nose, sleepy.
Nose up – stupid,
Taking a trail – from a dog.
A button nose – in childhood,
A frivolous – in coquetry.

As soon as the nose is in the circle, the participant is allowed to remove the bandage and quickly return to his team, passing the baton-carrot to the next participant in the relay. The winner is the team that finishes the es-tafet faster.

90,000 Syrian refugee camp: work, hope and football
We are escorted inside the camp. Before that, we were shown how medical offices work, who complains about what, where lessons for boys and girls take place (they study separately), where you can work for yourself, for example, sew. Fortunately, electric cars run smoothly. You can wash your clothes – there are washing machines along the walls in a separate room.
We were immediately warned that if someone refuses to be photographed, it is better to listen.
“Many do not want to show their faces. Several girls with covered faces. If they don’t want to – don’t, don’t insist. Understand how difficult it is for them, “says one of the employees.
But no one shouted after us if we persistently photographed girls in niqabs (most often, a black scarf that completely covers the face).
In one of the classes we ask a boy, about ten years old, how his studies are going. He shows his thumb – good! And how, we do not calm down, here at all? This time he shows two thumbs up.
In the container town we get to know the Circassians.
“Wait, otherwise the conversation won’t take place,” says one of the Circassians and leaves for the kitchen, returns with the Circassian flag: “Now let’s talk.”
He recalls what happened in his homeland with a smile, without any tragedy in his voice. We ask if it was scary. “Well, of course,” he replies, “of course it was.” “But now it’s not scary! Look how we live: there is food, there is electricity, children are playing football, old women are sitting and talking. Life goes on,” the interlocutor notes.
An elderly Muhammad, who speaks decent English, intervenes in the conversation. He is emotional, so he pronounces every word very clearly: “I have a Circassian wife, I myself am an Arab. Now I will call her. Come here, come.”
“Do we want to return to our Motherland?” She asks. “Where – to Syria or the Caucasus, to Russia? To Syria – yes, if without war and cannonade.”
“And if to Russia?” – we ask.
“We will return. We hope to return,” the woman says.
The camp resembles a separate eastern quarter. There is a special, non-Turkish atmosphere here, although this is the territory of Turkey. And it’s not just a matter of fast Arabic speech.
“At first we offered them food that was familiar to us. And then we realized that something was wrong,” the employees explain.
“We looked, thought and decided – let them cook their usual food. And it is true, even though we border, but this is the difference,” – they say.
“We help Syrian refugees and treat them like our family members. They are not strangers to us.We help them not only in terms of shelter, but we also educate their children in schools. We do not want the children to remain illiterate due to political upheavals, “the camp staff say.
