Benefits of Participating in Fusion Camps
Attending Fusion Camps, whether for soccer or dance, offers numerous benefits for children and teenagers. These programs provide more than just skill development in their respective disciplines; they contribute to overall personal growth and well-being.
Physical Development
Both soccer and dance camps provide excellent opportunities for physical exercise and development. Participants improve their coordination, balance, strength, and endurance through regular practice and training.
Social Skills and Teamwork
Camps create an environment where children interact with peers who share similar interests. This setting naturally encourages the development of social skills, communication, and teamwork. In soccer, players learn to work together towards common goals, while dance camps often include group performances that require coordination and cooperation.
Confidence Building
As participants improve their skills and overcome challenges, they gain confidence in their abilities. This self-assurance often extends beyond the specific activity and into other areas of their lives.
Discipline and Time Management
Structured camp environments help children learn the importance of discipline and time management. They must follow schedules, practice regularly, and balance different activities throughout the day.
Creative Expression
Particularly in dance camps, but also applicable to soccer, participants have opportunities for creative expression. This fosters imagination, problem-solving skills, and emotional intelligence.
Exposure to New Experiences
Themed camps like “Slumber Party World Tour” or specialized soccer training sessions expose children to new concepts, cultures, and ways of thinking. This broadens their horizons and encourages curiosity about the world around them.
Preparation for Future Endeavors
For those interested in pursuing soccer or dance more seriously, these camps provide valuable experience and training. Advanced programs like the Elite Soccer Camp or Ballet Intensives can help prepare participants for competitive play or auditions.
Making the Most of Fusion Camps
To ensure participants get the most out of their Fusion Camp experience, consider the following tips:
Choose the Right Program
Select a camp that matches the child’s age, skill level, and interests. Fusion Camps offer a wide range of options, from introductory programs for young children to advanced training for teenagers.
Prepare Properly
Ensure participants have the necessary equipment and attire for their chosen camp. For soccer, this might include appropriate footwear, shin guards, and a water bottle. Dance camps may require specific clothing or shoes depending on the style being taught.
Set Goals
Encourage participants to set personal goals for what they want to achieve during the camp. This could be learning a new skill, making new friends, or gaining confidence in a particular area.
Stay Hydrated and Nourished
Physical activities require proper hydration and nutrition. Ensure participants bring water and healthy snacks, especially for full-day programs.
Encourage Practice
Many skills learned in camp can be practiced at home. Encourage participants to continue working on their new abilities outside of camp hours to reinforce their learning.
Collect Feedback
After each day or at the end of the camp, ask participants about their experiences. What did they enjoy most? What challenges did they face? This feedback can help guide future camp selections and provide valuable insights into the child’s interests and development.
Fusion Camps offer a diverse array of summer programs that cater to various interests, age groups, and skill levels. Whether a child is passionate about soccer, dance, or both, these camps provide structured environments for skill development, personal growth, and fun. By combining physical activity with creative expression and social interaction, Fusion Camps create memorable summer experiences that can have lasting positive impacts on participants’ lives.

2021 Fall Fusion Football Skills & Drills Camps
For the last two years, the BMFA has been working hard behind the scenes to bring the newest innovative football development model to Burlington; Fusion Football. https://www.burlingtonfootball.ca/fusion
This hybrid game bridges the gap between flag and traditional tackle, making it a perfect fit to grow community football. Covid has disrupted our plans numerous times, mainly due to provincial lockdowns and public health guidelines. Currently, it seems that any contact sport, especially football, won’t see a return to play plan until late fall 2021.
Our solution is to offer a series of one-day, 3-hour Fusion camps. These camps will introduce athletes and parents to the benefits of Fusion football. Fusion players wear a TackleBar harness around their midsection that holds two removable foam bars on the lower back. The design teaches players to use the proper shoulder tackling technique by requiring them to wrap up the ball carrier and pull off the foam bar to end the play. This approach allows players to refine their technique without tackling players to the ground, decreasing impacts as they learn to play the game. Due to Covid restrictions, players won’t be wearing the TackleBar harness; instead, we will be using specialized equipment to remove player-to-player contact while still teaching the fundamentals of Fusion football.

Children’s sports and recreation camp “Damkhurts” celebrates its birthday

The 45th anniversary of its foundation and the 15th anniversary of the status of a municipal educational institution of additional education for children will be celebrated on August 14 by the sports and recreation camp “Damkhurts” – a piece of Pyatigorsk in the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia.
The celebration will not be complete without congratulations and gifts that the camp will receive from the Head of the city of Pyatigorsk Lev Travnev and guests of the holiday. 130 young residents of Pyatigorsk, having a rest within 4 shifts, will become active participants.
The program of the holiday is subordinated to the traditional daily routine and, of course, will be full of pleasant surprises.
General ascent on this day in the camp at 8.00. It will be followed by musical exercises, a lineup with cheerful chants, rewarding squads for victories in the previous day’s competitions, and breakfast.
At 10.00, the site of the “Damkhurts” camp will be radically transformed – the Festival of Colors will be the first cheerful chord of the holiday.
From 11.30 the instructors of the Russian Youth Union will begin a rope tour: the children will have to go through 11 “stations” and determine the most athletic squad.
A healthy appetite for a festive dinner at 14.00 is very welcome, and then the whole camp will rest for a couple of hours. A quiet hour is required.
After 4 pm, a chess and checkers tournament starts in Damkhurts, as well as master classes in photography, video shooting, a variety of creative activities and even landscape design.
After dinner at 20.00, the stage will be given to the most artistic and lively ones, but by the way, there are no others in Damkhurts. The script creators of the event were inspired by the Soviet comedy film “Welcome or No Unauthorized Entry”, which will be presented in an original modern reading.
Another “trick” is a fire. Not a small one, made of several logs, but a huge, hot one, symbolizing the birth of a strong childish friendship, presented by Damhurts. And, of course, the camp birthday fireworks and disco until midnight.
No wonder people, once seeing this amazing place at the confluence of the turbulent Laba and the crystal Damkhurts, invariably dream of returning there again. And Pyatigorsk schoolchildren are provided with such an opportunity annually. More than 300 children spend unforgettable weeks at the camp every summer.
Fans are added every year. For 15 years, during which the municipal sports and recreation camp accepts children, only schoolchildren have rested about 5.5 thousand.

Kamloops boarding school was founded in 1890
In Canada on the territory a former boarding school set up to assimilate indigenous peoples, a mass grave with the remains of 215 children was discovered.
The discovery of a mass grave in Kamloops, British Columbia, was announced Thursday by a community calling itself the Fusion People (Tk’emlups te Secwepemc).
According to their data, the remains belong to the inmates of a boarding school that closed more than 40 years ago.
The autonomous government of the Fusion People is currently working with museum specialists and the coroner’s office to establish when and for what reason the children died.
The head of the Kamloops community, Rosanna Kazimir, stated that the burial was never documented by the school administration.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called the British Columbia discovery “a painful reminder of a shameful chapter in our country’s history.”
In the 19th and 20th centuries, boarding schools operated in Canada, where indigenous children and adolescents were placed for the purpose of forced assimilation.
Kamloops boarding school, founded in 1890 and initially run by the Roman Catholic Church, was one of the largest in the country and operated until 1978.In the 50s of the last century, the number of its pupils reached 500 people.
What is known about the found remains
Community representatives said that the children’s remains were found during the study of the territory of the boarding school using GPR.
“To our knowledge, the deaths of these children were not documented. Some of them were no more than three years old,” said Rosanna Casimir.

Investigation of the found remains has just begun
The community has contacted the relatives of the children attending school and expects to submit preliminary findings by mid-June.
British Columbia Chief Coroner Lisa Lappoint told CBC broadcaster that the investigation is at an early stage in the intelligence-gathering process.
The news of the discovery of a mass grave of children in Kamloops shocked Canada.
Justin Trudeau tweeted that it “broke his heart.”
Secretary of State for Relations with Indigenous Peoples Caroline Bennett said that such boarding schools were part of “infamous colonial policy” and promised that the government “will perpetuate the memory of the lost innocent souls.”
Between 1863 and 1998, more than 150,000 children went through indigenous boarding schools from their own families.
Inmates of boarding schools were often forbidden to speak their native language and practice their cultural customs. Often in these schools, children were mistreated and abused.
A Special Commission on Truth and Reconciliation, established in 2008, found that many children who had been admitted to indigenous institutions never returned to their home communities.
The commission’s report published in 2015 called this policy a cultural genocide. In 2008, the Canadian government officially apologized for the system.

Mount Munku-Sardyk (3491 m above sea level) is located on the territory of the Republic of Buryatia and, at the same time, Mongolia, since the border of the Russian Federation runs right along the top. Therefore, you will not only climb to the highest point of Eastern Siberia, but also visit the border of Mongolia. The name of the mountain is translated from the Buryat language as an eternally white char. This is actually so: the Munku-Sardyk massif is covered with a glacier, and even in summer there is snow here. At the foot, at an altitude of 2650, there is a lake of incredible beauty.Absolutely round, framed by the majestic mountains of the Big Sayan, from above it resembles a dragon’s eye: bluish-green in summer, and frozen from the cold and frozen in winter.
The ascent is planned from 05/01/2020 to 05/03/2020.
Action plan:
I day: at 11.00 am gathering of the participants of the ascent near the supermarket “Plantorozhnik” (Shelekhov, Traktovaya st., 23 B). Then we go to the border control point in Mondy. Further from the bridge we move to the arrow (the confluence of the Bely Irkut and Muguvek rivers). We set up the base camp. Overnight stay.
