We use the most advanced flight simulation software available which also allows campers to simulate taking off, flying, and landing. It also lets campers test their skills in a variety of weather patterns, settings, and types of aircraft.

Build a Rocket

The T-6 Texan was called the “Pilot Maker” because it was the last training plane young pilots flew before taking on the WWII Warbird fighters and bombers. Follow flight school basic training as you learn the science that a pilot needs to know, how physics is used to control the aircraft, and the mechanics inside the planes. Practice simulator flying skills on the flight trainers, just like the pilots of World War II, then move on to pilot challenges and modern fighter jets. 6. Destination Aviation Summer Camp – Lakeland, Florida
The Aerospace Center for Excellence on the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus offers programs for both day and residential campers. If your child is 11 to 18 years old, he or she can participate in the 5-day program. The classroom portion includes learning about the airplane, including the cockpit, its instruments, and much more. Campers get the opportunity to fly a Piper Cherokee over the east coast of Florida. Campers log flight time, including takeoff and landing.
5. Air Camp, Inc. – Dayton, Ohio
The place where the Wright Brothers invented and perfected heavier-than-air flight welcomes children in grades 4 through 9. If your child loves math and science, this flight camp is the perfect experience.
he aviation summer camp offers two separate programs: one for kids in grades 4 through 6, and another for kids in grades 7 through 9. In the first program, kids will learn about flight history, as well as the science and technology behind aviation and aeronautics. They will get the chance to go to the workplaces of industry STEM professionals for a meet-and-teach. The program for older students is more challenging. Kids attend flight ground school and pilot a plane. They also engage in fire and rescue lessons at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
4. Aviation Summer Camp – Long Beach, California
For a select group of children ages 9 to 15, this 5-day day camp in Long Beach, California introduces would-be aeronautical engineers to problem-solving and plane design. Kids learn how to design planes by building and flying models.
They take a field trip to Long Beach Airport, meet flight professionals, and even get time with a flight simulator. They even have the opportunity to fly a radio-controlled plane. The camp is limited to twelve students.
3. Military Teen Adventure Camp – Colorado
Open only to children of Military Personnel, this camp accepts children ages 14-18 for a strength and leadership-based weekend course to introduce them to the functions of the Air Force and all branches of military service. Students are housed at the Colorado State University Mountain Campus.
For all major activities, the campers are divided by gender and ability. Hiking, challenge courses, and whitewater rafting are part of the curriculum. A hike to the location of the B-17 crash site is the highlight of the experience.

If they’re enthusiastic about STEM, your child will thrive in this unique experiential program at the museum. Campers get to learn about airplanes, and also get a chance to fly in one. They visit a spectacular aviation and aeronautics exhibit, the Destination Moon gallery that features the Apollo 11 Command Module, Columbia. The University of North Dakota’s International Aerospace Camp is a full week of aviation
adventure! This “college seminar” is similar to attending a week of actual college.
Additionally, what makes this seminar unique is the amount of flight training each
student receives. We are very interested in students who truly want to experience
collegiate aviation.

The John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences at the University of North Dakota

If you choose the R-44 helicopter introductory flight option, there will be an additional
$350 charge. Full payment is required to hold your registration. If for some reason
you cannot attend, a full refund is available up to March 1st. A refund of 50% is
available up to May 1. No refund will be available after May 1. Online payment is
required. Further instructions are given when you register.
Housing and Transportation
You’ll stay right on campus in one of UND’s residence halls and eat in one of our
student dining halls.
Transportation to Camp
You are responsible for transportation to Grand Forks, North Dakota. Delta and Allegiant
airlines serve Grand Forks. The Grand Forks International Airport has two gates. We
provide transportation at no additional cost to and from the airport in Grand Forks.
The free shuttle service will begin at 1 p.m. on the first day of camp and continue
until all students have arrived at the residence halls on campus. Students are permitted
to drive to campus with their own vehicle; however, there will be no driving of personal
vehicles during camp week.
Check-In
Check-in is 1-5 p.m. on the first day of camp, with camp orientation at 5:30 p.m.
Make travel arrangements early, as camp housing is available only for the camp time
period. UND is not responsible for lodging/meals for early arrivals or late departures.
Check-Out
Check-out of the residence hall is by 12 p. m. Closing activities will be held on the
last day of camp and students may leave the night of closing activities. Shuttle service
to the airport will be arranged in two trips based on student departure schedules.
Registration
Unfortunately, this summer’s 2021 Aerospace Summer Camp has been canceled.
Each session of camp is limited to 28 students (number of campers is subject to change).
Registration acceptance is based on the date of registration and when the deposit
is received at UND Aerospace.

Flight Camp | Summit Aviation
Cancer patients who are in remission often hear the phrase, “The sky is the limit” in the wake of their hard-earned good health, but Flight Camp makes that saying a reality!
Each morning starts with participants and their certified flight instructors conducting a pre-flight inspection on Summit’s aircraft before the group gathers for a short briefing on the day’s flight path and taking to the skies over Montana’s beautiful landscapes! All flight lessons take place above some of the best views Montana has to offer, including routes to Spanish Peaks, Big Sky and Bear Trap Canyon, as well as over the Bridger Mountains and Paradise Valley. On each flight, campers learn basic aircraft control and how to perform basic maneuvers; by the end of the week many are performing their own take-offs and landings!
Campers return from their morning flights to delicious themed lunches donated by various local businesses. Afternoons consist of tours of Bozeman International Airport facilities (including emergency response operations, the air traffic control tower, and private jets) and a ground lesson where instructors go over flight controls and aerodynamics, helpful tips for landing smoothly, and how to plan a cross-
country flight, which also becomes a reality for the camp participants.
The week culminates in a graduation flight to Driggs, ID, during which campers get a bird’s eye view of the majestic Yellowstone National Park and Grand Tetons. While in Driggs, the group stops for lunch at the Warbirds Cafe and tours Teton Aviation Center’s Warbird Collection before making their final flight back to Bozeman.
The transformation these individuals go through during the week is amazing to witness. For some, it’s a chance at an incredible experience after stolen opportunities; for others, it’s about removing limitations and revealing new skills and abilities. No matter the journey they take, the destination is one of new-found freedom, confidence and ability.

PILOT MAKER
10-12 years old
The T-6 Texan was called the “Pilot Maker” because it was the last training plane young pilots flew before taking on the WWII Warbird fighters and bombers. Follow flight school basic training as you learn the science that a pilot needs to know, how physics is used to control the aircraft, and the mechanics inside the planes. Practice simulator flying skills on the flight trainers, just like the pilots of World War II, then move on to pilot challenges and modern fighter jets. Finally, test your ace skills in simulated dogfights against your camp mates.

ACES AND LEGENDS
10-12 years old
Take a close look at the planes and people that made history. The battles in the skies started with the race for dominant engineering to make the next bigger and faster aircraft design. Examine a different warbird each day up close to see how differences in technology meant life or death on the battlefield, and learn about the pilots and crew that relied on that machine to get the job done. Then hop in our networked flight simulators to recreate their missions with your fellow campmates making up a squadron to defend a bombing run, attack ground targets, and dogfight in the sky.

Program:
1.Acquaintance with nanotechnology and the unique properties of nano-materials.
2. Entertaining robotics, which is subdivided into modular and creative. Each shift has at least three areas of robotics. Dear parents, please pay attention to those directions that are present at a particular shift, specify if you are interested in a specific direction (transfers are possible).
3. Study of modern trends in the field of information technology (computer literacy), which may be useful to them in life.Children are offered a choice of training in computer painting, various animation (Flash-, Gif-, 3D-), web design, modeling, digital photo, video and its processing, industrial design. At the end of the shift, the guys will bring their work on DVDs (along with memorable photos and video of the shift).

Nizhny Novgorod Denis Kornilov has long been a living legend of ski jumping.The 33-year-old has already taken part in four Olympics and is now aiming to compete in the 2022 Winter Games.
In the Kornilov family, not only Denis is devoted to sports, but also his dad Alexander Sergeevich . A long-term coach of the national team of the Nizhny Novgorod region in ski jumping from a springboard, and at the age of 65, continues to disappear in training and training camps.
And now Denis Kornilov’s son Leo is growing up. The boy plays with his father’s medals and tells everyone that he wants to become a champion.

It seems that Alexander Sergeevich Kornilov will have not a single birthday at the training camp, because Denis is not thinking about retirement yet: “I still enjoy every jump and I still have sporting goals.”

“In recent seasons I have been constantly training with the national team of the Nizhny Novgorod region and therefore spent a little more time with my wife and son. I felt that it was getting harder and harder to leave them, ”Denis confesses.

Perhaps, the question of retirement could have arisen in front of Denis Kornilov, if not for his wife. Maria Kornilova from the very beginning was ready to become a support for her beloved.
“For a man, career always comes first, and the family should help! – Maria Kornilova is sure.“When we began to meet with Denis, I saw that he was just burning with his sport.”
For the sake of a successful career for her husband, Maria was ready to make any compromise. Suffice it to say that even the wedding had to be played only when Denis had a forced downtime. In 2012, Kornilov underwent surgery and remained outside the sport for some time.
And with the joint weekends and holidays in the family, things have always been difficult.
“Once we decided to celebrate the New Year together and flew with Denis to Germany for the next stage of the World Cup,” recalls Maria.- But apart from the airport, the hotel and the springboard, I didn’t see much. Since then I have decided: “Netushki! I’d rather wait for my husband at home! ”
Once upon a time, the second half of Alexander Sergeevich Kornilov had to go through a similar path. And the patience of Maria Kornilova, it seems, is actually limitless. And even when the son of Leo was born, she never started a conversation with Denis about retirement.

“I have long been accepted into this friendly family. And now I am also officially entering it, ”jokes Maria Kornilova, secretary of the Nizhny Novgorod School of Olympic Reserve in Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined.

But the youngest in the Kornilov family does not go to school for flying skiers yet. Six-year-old Lev plays football in kindergarten, is engaged in the sambo section and, according to Denis Kornilov, is not very interested in skiing.But Maria has no doubt that her son will definitely try himself in sports.

“The lion sits down in the landing of a flying skier for a year. He constantly carries Denis’s medals around the house and says: “I will be a champion, like dad!” And his favorite game is when he and his grandfather jump in length. Alexander Sergeevich began to train him on the sly long ago – he teaches him to push up, pulls the ankle. And from next year, Leo will begin to engage in classic skiing.I would like my son to try his hand at ski jumping too. This is a beautiful sport that I really like. And he is not nearly as traumatic as many think. ”
Who knows, maybe if Lev Kornilov also chooses ski jumping for himself, we will be able to see three generations of this family in the team of the Nizhny Novgorod region at once.
