Why Summer Camp Matters
Summer camp provides a safe environment to try new activities, live with new people, make new friends, eat new foods, and sometimes deal with homesickness. It is in this time, out of their comfort zone, that children develop life skills, independence, and self-confidence. At camp, kids learn to express themselves. We often hear “Camp allows me to be myself. At camp, I belong.”
Why Camp Woodstock is Special
Two things set Camp Woodstock apart from other summer camps. First is our culture, which is driven by our CHoRR (pronounced “core”) values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. The CHoRR values are how we connect with campers, and how campers learn to connect with others.
Second is our counselors, who are passionate and committed to your child’s well-being during his or her Camp Woodstock experience. Nearly every one of our counselors was once a camper at Camp Woodstock, and has come up through the ranks of our selective and rigorous leadership training program. Each counselor is an excellent role model for your child.
We are known as The Friendship Camp for good reason: Campers have been making lifelong friendships “down by the lake” since 1922!

Summer Camps
Mystic Seaport Museum offers a number of summer camps and programs that provide a unique learning adventure! Our wide selection of Summer Day Camps offers campers ages 4 to 16 a kid’s-eye-view of maritime history as they explore the Museum. Community Sailing day camps let kids ages 6 to 15 build and refine their sailing skills with our sailing instructors out on the Mystic River. Our residential, Joseph Conrad Overnight Camp invites campers 8 to 15 to spend a week with us, learning to sail by day, doing fun maritime themed activities in the evenings, and sleeping aboard a historic ship by night. And teens 15 and up can sail along the coast as part of the crew of the schooner Brilliant. Select the camp that best suits your children and give them a summer to remember at Mystic Seaport Museum!
Summer Day Camp (Ages 4-16)
With many different day camps to choose from, campers ages 4 to 16 get a kids’-eye-view of maritime history as they explore Mystic Seaport Museum, take part in hands-on activities, play unique games and create fantastic craft projects. They’ll discover the secret lives of sailors, learn what life was like at port, meet the citizens of Greenmanville, investigate the superstitions of the sea, and more. All of our programs are licensed by the State of Connecticut and are staffed by experienced museum educators.

CONSENT FOR MEDICAL INTERVENTION, print and sign. If you do not have such an opportunity, you can sign all the necessary documents on the day of arrival at the camp itself.
You don’t need to take a contract with you.
Clothing marking
In order for all collected items to be returned, we recommend labeling the child’s clothes. This can be done on labels or on the inside with special markers that do not spoil clothes.
Alternatively, you and your child can make a list of things that are in his suitcase and hand it over to the receptionist at check-in.
Camp Rules
We do not recommend giving your child expensive items and gadgets. The administration is not responsible in case of their loss.
We also care about the health and safety of children, so we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the list of products that are allowed to pass to the child.
Download memo
By downloading the checklist, you can check whether you have collected everything you need and get acquainted with our recommendations and a list of what your child may need during the shift.
When your child is at camp
Visiting Rules
The best time to visit during the shift is from 14:00 to 16:00 during quiet time, so as not to distract the children from classes, as we have a very busy schedule. But you can choose another time convenient for you, taking into account the mode of your child. Contact the administrator and he will accompany the child to the gate.
We also have a parent’s day every summer session. This is a grandiose reporting musical with the participation of all the guys, which you should definitely visit. We inform about dates and times in parental viber chats.
How is the resettlement and distribution of units?
When submitting an application, indicate your wishes for resettlement in the registration form. If you want to make any changes, please contact your manager.
Resettlement and division into teams takes place a week before arrival for a shift, taking into account the age of the child.
How do I know what my child is up to?
On the first day of the shift, we create viber chats with parents by squad. In them, on a daily basis, our counselors publish photos, as well as descriptions of classes and activities.
When applying, please provide your phone number to which Viber is linked.
Documents required upon departure
Departure from the camp is carried out from 9:00 to 12:00.
If you are picking up your child yourself, no documentation is required.
If you cannot pick up the child yourself, you need a free-form written power of attorney indicating your full name and passport details.
If you need to pick up your child before the end of the shift, you must fill out an application to leave the camp.
What to do if you forgot things in the camp?
In our VK group, a special photo album has been created, where you can find your forgotten thing.
