Ascent Stick Flex and Stiffness
One of the standout features of the Maverik Ascent is its specialized flex profile. Unlike most complete sticks geared towards beginners, the Ascent has an exceptionally stiff flex engineered for elite-level performance. This rigid construction gives players ultimate command and control for pinpoint passing and blistering shots.
By utilizing premium carbon fiber and aircraft-grade metals in the shaft construction, Maverik achieved a flex rating of “X” in the Ascent. This provides minimal flex even under the hardest checks or wildest rips. Such stability allows for deadly shooting accuracy and bullet-speed feeds.
While ultra-stiff sticks can make cradling and quick stick work more difficult for novice players, the Ascent’s stiffness offers a pro-level feel for advancing midfielders, attackmen, and defensemen alike. For precision players who value accuracy above all else, the Ascent’s next-level flex profile delivers.
Ascent Pocket and Stringing
One of the keys to maximizing ball control and feel with any lacrosse head is dialing in the ideal pocket and stringing setup. With the Ascent, Maverik looked to strike the perfect balance between hold and quick release.
Right out of the box, the Ascent comes strung up with a mid-low pocket depth using Maverik’s signature S-curve pattern. This gives players a grippy pocket for carrying and cradling, while still allowing for fast passes and shots. The pocket is designed to center the ball securely while meeting all legality requirements.
For elite players looking to customize, the Ascent head gives you options. The rail and sidewall design accommodate adjustable top strings, mid-pocket nylons, and shooters for tweaking the channel and whip. Maverik also designed this head to pair ideally with third-party mesh and stringing kits. Dial in the pocket of your dreams with the versatile Ascent.
Ascent Stick Durability
In the fast-paced, physical sport of lacrosse, equipment that can’t withstand abuse won’t last long. That’s why Maverik engineered the Ascent stick using only premium materials to achieve maximum durability.
The high-strength alloy shaft feels ultra-lightweight but resists dents, cracks, and warping even after huge checks. The head utilizes aircraft grade metals in critical joints to prevent damage from missed shots off the pipe or deep slashes. The pocket nylon is thick and weather resistant as well.
By combining carbon fiber, titanium, and the strongest alloys available, Maverik produced one of the most rugged and impact-resistant sticks on the market in the Ascent. It maintains its precision and responsiveness even after the rough and tumble of game play. This exceptional durability also provides great value over the life of the stick.
Ascent Stick Accuracy
When it comes to performance lacrosse sticks, accuracy is everything. Whether you’re looking to hit corners on shots or deliver pinpoint feeds, the Ascent has you covered.
With its stiff flex and Raptor Rail sidewall technology, the Ascent head resists twisting and warping even during the most powerful shots and passes. This stability keeps the head square to the ball for superior precision.
Additionally, the optimized scoop shape and center channel stringing on the Ascent head guide the ball smoothly out of the pocket. Combined with the textured grip of the Saber Pro handle, this complete stick gives players the utmost control over ball flight and placement.
From free position rips to clearing length feeds, the Ascent stick delivers deadly accuracy game after game. For developing players looking to fine-tune their shooting and passing, this stick offers pro-level precision.
Ascent Stick Ball Control
Maintaining possession is crucial in lacrosse, and the Ascent gives players the tools for excellent ball control. Between the head shape, pocket design, and shaft grip, this stick keeps the ball locked in and centered.
The mid-high offset head provides superior hold for carrying and cradling. With the Raptor Rail sidewalls stabilizing the head shape, the ball stays put even when being pounded by checks.
The pre-strung mid-low pocket on the Ascent also enhances control. Its S-curve channel and nylon give just the right amount of grip, allowing smooth scooping, cradling, and quick releases when needed.
Finally, the textured contour grip on the Saber Pro handle maximizes feel while minimizing slip. Together, these technologies make the Ascent one of the most ball-control friendly sticks out there.
Ascent Stick Speed
When tenths of seconds can mean the difference between scoring and getting checked, speed is everything in lacrosse. The Maverik Ascent is engineered for lightning-quick sticks skills and release.
The ultra-lightweight Saber Pro shaft minimizes weight while providing strength, giving players faster handle speed for quicker shots, feeds, and stick tricks. Its narrow diameter also enhances control for speedy yet precise ball handling.
The head’s stiff cross-section and supportive rails offer exceptional ball guidance as it rockets out of the pocket. For players who like to push transition and excel in the open field, the Ascent stick delivers the speed they crave.
Whether you’re ripping shots on the crease or pushing one-handed feeds up the field, the Ascent stick’s combination of responsiveness, stability, and strength gives you the tools to leave defenders in the dust.
Ascent Stick Shooting Ability
For elite lacrosse players, being a threat to score from anywhere on the field is a must. With its pro-level technologies, the Maverik Ascent complete stick empowers players’ shooting abilities.
The stiff alloy shaft gives you the control and power needed to rip shots with velocity. Combined with the head’s stability and optimized scoop, the ball accelerates smoothly through its centered channel.
The Raptor Rail sidewalls also resist twisting on impact, keeping the head square through the most violent shots. This accuracy paired with velocity makes the Ascent a scoring machine.
Whether you’re muscling in crease rip shots or winding up on the run, this stick gives you the tools to pick corners with confidence. For players looking to take their shot-making to the next level, the Ascent delivers.
Ascent Stick Passing
Delivering accurate passes to teammates is a fundamental skill in lacrosse, and the Ascent stick provides the performance to make crisp feeds. Between its stiff profile and optimized scoop, this complete stick improves passing precision.
The supportive alloy shaft gives players superior command over the head during passing motions, eliminating unwanted flex that can send feeds off target. The grippy texture also enhances handling.
Additionally, the Ascent head’s scoop and pocket channel guide the ball straight out of the stick. With minimal wobble, even hard, long-distance clearing passes stay on point.
For developing players looking to sharpen their feeds upfield, through traffic, or on the crease, the Ascent stick delivers next-level passing accuracy thanks to its dialed-in technologies.
Ascent Stick Ground Balls
Ground balls are one of the grittiest and most competitive aspects of lacrosse. The Maverik Ascent gives you the tools to come out on top in ground ball battles.
With its extended lower rail and optimized scoop angle, the Ascent head excels at getting under ground balls for quick pickups. The stiff alloy shaft also gives you the control needed to protect possession once the ball is corralled.
Additionally, the textured grip and centered channel stringing keep the ball locked in once it’s secured. You can wheel away from pressure with confidence thanks to the Ascent’s excellent ground ball performance.
Whether hacking through traffic off the faceoff or tracking down a key loose ball to regain possession, this complete stick has the specs to help you vacuum up grounders like a pro.
Ascent Stick Faceoffs
In lacrosse, winning the faceoff can set the tone for a possession. The Maverik Ascent gives you the specs to gain an edge right off the whistle.
Thanks to its stiff alloy shaft and supportive head shape, the Ascent provides exceptional clamp speed for jumping on 50/50 balls off the draw. The textured grip also enhances handling when battling for initial possession.
If the clamp is lost, the Ascent’s scoop design excels at tracking down ground balls to regain control. And once the ball is corralled, its excellent ground ball retention helps you power away from the scrum.
