I think many of us are superficially familiar with the Under Armor brand.
Only a few buy its products, this is due to the fact that it is not officially represented on the territory of the Russian Federation and is available either from resellers, or in a limited edition from some sports stores.
In this review, I would like to briefly introduce you to the Hustle II Backpack. Compare it with the previous model and talk a little about the brand itself.
A little about the brand
Under Armor is an American sports brand, quite young (founded in 1996), whose logo is a sort of cross of two letters U.
x, and partly in films (I think UA is the most pushed brand in US dramas)
The offline brand is very poorly represented, even in the states the first store opened quite recently in 2007. But now the company is trying to expand more and more by opening stores around the world. I think in a couple of years this store will open in the Russian Federation.
Why Hustle II
Hustle II Backpack This was not my first purchase from this brand.
I have their various hoodies and sneakers, as well as the first version of the Hustle.
When choosing the first backpack, I started from the following factors
- It should attract attention and talk about my personality (I think this is the main purpose of things if you are a shopaholic)
- Its quality should be at least 4. I was going to wear it in a variety of situations.
- Water permeability and various technologies that make it easier to use and increase my comfort go shopping with it, or take it somewhere on a trip.Also, it should not be too huge, since I was mainly going to use it in the city.0004
Having worn the first hustle for 2 years, I decided to buy a second such backpack, as it suits me in almost all respects.
Price, delivery, purchase
A small digression, I decided to insert a link from the off site, as well as the price tag from there, the lots for which I bought were deleted.
I bought both backpacks in England, on ebay, with up to a direct rate in Russia.
The first cost £12.39 with shipping included 4.95 ($10 coupon apparently applied) 1296 rubles
The second cost £20.98, shipping included £5 (with coupon 15 from 25,) at the time of debiting the price in rubles 1754.
also in both cases I got about 20% of the cache.The recommended purchase price is 54.95, so you should rely on my second price tag when buying. From time to time they appear at English sellers, I monitored the purchase in the states, but for some reason it turns out to be more expensive, and also without delivery.
Delivery was the usual trackless par avion, within a month to St. Petersburg. Packing is an ordinary package without protection (the package is strong, there is nothing to break). Appearance, review and comparison
The backpack is made in a sporty style, but without unnecessary dressings.
Version II is more of a nominal character, very often offices simply re-release the old version with a minimum of changes to stir up interest, here they must be looked for in the corners.
The material itself is dense, in the first version I saw some kind of impregnation with texture, in the second I don’t see (apparently standard invisible)black

Graphite looks nobler and more stylish than black, it’s not a shame to wear it to the office or to any meeting.
On the backpack you can clearly see two x’s and two inscriptions, one of which is ua storm 1, in the first version it was just ua storm, I don’t think they reworked something.The inscriptions themselves are dark silver shiny stickers, in the first version they perfectly withstood 2 years. Large X is embroidered with threads of the same dark silver color. But why did they make the inscriptions shiny? The graphite color rather predisposes to a non-flashy appearance, and the sparkles spoil everything.

There are 4 compartments in the backpack and 2 nets for bottles on the sides, you can also see 2 dressing lines in front, their purpose is not entirely clear to me, apparently they made such a fashion style.
In the main 2 compartments there are 2 fasteners, in the other two, one each. Pros – sometimes, sticking something huge really helps. The zipper itself is made of plastic, the fasteners are metal, with medium bandages, for convenience with a blind grip of the fingers. In the first version, these were plastic, bending, corrugated fasteners on the ears.hidden text↓
The first minus in comparison, in the previous version it is really more convenient, there was a perfect grip of the clasp that did not slip and it was possible to open the compartment with minimal effort. The clasp didn’t rattle either.
There are no complaints about the zipper itself, initially the dogs walk tight, but over time the move will improve.
0003 Nets for bottles – ordinary nets, they don’t sag over time, I’m used to putting garbage in there, chocolate and tangerine wrappers and, oddly enough, an umbrella (hello St. Petersburg), they are quite dense, so no one will understand what is there. hidden text↓
The bottom handle is made of soft elastic material, inside is a white foam pillow (filled with small balls), the handle is sewn on quite tightly, according to the previous version, it began to diverge in the internal seams, all the same, the material from the bottom of the handle is softer for ease of carrying. How did I know about balls? After 2 years, some of them crumbled down and the handle lost weight. It didn’t affect the transfer in any way.
There are 2 straps on the back of the backpack, they are also filled with foam inserts, soft and elastic, on the inside there is also softer material. There is a bright shiny logo on top of one strap, unfortunately the designers made a mistake here, it looks more like a bright silver spot, it was necessary to make the X sign from silver.
The HeatGear tag is on the bottom. Fastexes are small, without latches, they have the inscription Under Armor on them, no complaints, they hold perfectly, lugs at the end of the belt.
As for the straps, the backpack perfectly held 7-10 kg on one strap, it is difficult to stuff more there. Doesn’t press.
The back of the backpack is made of an ergonomic foam insert, which is stitched with compartments.
The insert softens the back, so things in the backpack will not hit the back. At the same time, it acts as a kind of insulation (it warms the back in winter)But in the summer, proprietary technologies fail and the back will sweat, so you should wear a backpack with one strap.
The bottom part of the backpack (bottom from the outside) is made of some kind of synthetic rubberized material, it is easy to clean it with ordinary water.
Let’s move on to the branches
Let’s start with the small ones.
The top is small, it has a giant company logo sewn on it, one zip closure, suitable for coins, keys, some kind of card, soft fleece inside, pleasant to the touch (I personally don’t, I hate fleece, even in Canada goose pockets)hidden text↓
In the first version opening this pocket reveals the PROTECT THIS HOUSE I WILL easter egg.
It is missing in the second one, apparently there is a reference that this pocket is for keys, and Under Armor reports that it will cope with this function. (just kidding, it’s just a company slogan)
To sum up, a very comfortable pocket with the perfect size. It should be in every backpack, it is here that you should put small things for constant use of easy accessibility.The lower compartment, although small in appearance, in reality goes deep into the bag, acting as a kind of bag, there is only one dog, it occasionally catches the material that, due to the options of the bag, is not tightly fitted.
As planned by Under Armor, this pocket should act as a bag for change, socks, T-shirts and the like.
It’s strange, there is no silver cleaning technology or something else, I doubt that this will have a positive effect on the smell if you put a dirty uniform there, shoes are even possible, but difficult to shove there. I use this department for a knife, nippers, an apple can be put.

Now it’s a full-fledged pocket, protected from any small things.

User experience, pitfalls.
The backpack never let me down, I wore it every season. It didn’t lose its appearance, nothing flew off, the upper handle, slightly parted from the inside, I would rather attribute it to improper operation.
About his Water Resistant protection…
I’ve always tried not to walk with him in heavy rain, but once in a while I don’t have to.In a heavy downpour (for 2 years of wear), he got wet, through both coatings.
I did not wash it until it got wet, just as a light rain should not have shaken its impregnation, which means it either disappears with time or, which is more likely to be more aesthetic. I strongly doubt that the second version is better than the first, so all the same I advise you not to try to stay in the rain for a long time.
The graphite back is made of dark color, the black one was made of light gray, as a result of which, a year later, dirt began to eat in there, no cleaning helped, and I decided to wash it. After that, I discovered that some kind of coating began to peel off in a large inner pocket on top. So it must be a Water Resistant coating, but is it applied to the backpack itself from the outside, double protection? from any factors? or just such a manufacturing process. Why is it shabby in one main and not in others? In general, it is not clear. Conclusion
Summing up, Under Armor has rebranded the old model, only slightly improving a couple of options and somewhere completely taking a step away, not bad for the price it sells. The backpack is stylish, it can also be worn by an adult audience. Excellent workmanship is spoiled only by the fake function of Water Resistant.
The price for which I bought it is ridiculous, in the Russian Federation up to 2 tr you will get some sort of non-named trashy student backpack. In stores, it costs about 5tr (but this is already too much)
I would recommend it for purchase and everyday wear. Pretty good for getting to know the brand. Small post scriptum
