How do I register for camp?
We encourage early registration as camp fills very quickly.
Camp applicants are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Campers must be age 8 and not older than 16 by the first day of camp to be eligible. Campers are assigned to living spaces by gender and age. Although an effort will be made to accommodate a roommate request, we cannot guarantee to meet the request. Any such request must be made during the registration process for consideration.
The link to our online Camper Registration will be posted on this website at the top of the REGISTRATION page on or about February 1 each year.
Once a registration is completed, an email will be sent to you advising that your child has been assigned a spot at camp. It is important that you take whatever steps are appropriate for your email environment to ensure that [email protected] is not flagged as Spam or Junk. The email will contain a link to forms that must be returned no later than June 1 to maintain your child’s spot at camp. An email will also be sent if camp has been filled and your child has been placed on the Waiting List.
If the bed availability listed in the box on the HOME page shows an age/gender group is full, please proceed with registration to be placed on the Waiting List.
Refund policy
Once your camper has been enrolled and accepted into camp (assigned a bed) and he/she is unable to attend camp, the fee is non-refundable unless Camp Celiac is able to fill the spot from our waiting list.
Are Need-Based grants available?
We do have a very limited number of need-based grants available, but you still must register for camp and provide full payment at the time of registration in order to be guaranteed a spot at camp. If and when a need-based grant is awarded, that amount will be refunded to you. Please see further information below.
Camp Celiac is fortunate to be able to grant financial assistance to campers and their families based on need. As a 100% volunteer based non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of others to provide this assistance and therefore we are good stewards of each dollar.
Each year our available funds vary and we try to help whenever we can. We ask that you only request what you truly need.
If you are interested in applying for a need-based grant, we request that the parent/guardian submit the following information to us by April 1:
• Camper’s name
• Camper’s age at camp this coming year
• Parent/guardian phone number
• Parent/guardian e-mail address
• Parent/guardian mailing address
• Brief description of your specific financial need
• Amount of relief requested
All entrants must register for camp, providing full payment with their registration, and be notified that placement has been secured in order to be guaranteed a spot at camp. If and when a need-based grant is awarded, partial payment will be returned in the amount of the grant. If this is a financial hardship, please contact us for special accommodations.
Submissions are due by April 1 to info@campceliac.

Need-based grant recipients will be notified by June 1.
Celiac and Gluten Free Summer Camp for Kids
Research has now confirmed what anyone with a gluten free child probably already knew: being around other kids with the same dietary restrictions helps gluten free kids feel normal. Gluten free summer camps for kids are a great way to do just that.
Kids who attend a dedicated gluten free summer camp are buoyed even further: they leave the experience with a more positive outlook and self-perception, as well as an improved sense of well-being and emotional outlook.
“All seemed to benefit from a gluten free summer camp, no longer feeling different from other kids or feeling frustrated with a restricted diet,” reported researchers in the journal Pediatrics. While all of the children enjoyed the camp experience, those who had been on a gluten-free diet for less than four years benefited the most. These children left camp no longer feeling embarrassed or isolated from other kids because of their restricted diet.
Campers also learned new coping mechanisms from others in camp who had been living gluten free for a longer time.
All this is to say that gluten free summer camp is a worthwhile endeavor; luckily many camps around the country are answering the call!

The entertainment and educational camp “Super Adventure” will be held in Kotseny from July 19 to 25, children aged 8 to 15 can take part in it. The camp provides full gluten-free meals.
“The end of the school year remotely has been a big challenge for children diagnosed with celiac disease or gluten intolerance, who, even without the quarantine imposed due to Covid-19, are significantly limited in society.
In order to give them at least a summer opportunity to spend time with their peers, meet old friends and make new ones, relax together and learn new skills, our society traditionally organizes a summer gluten-free camp, which will be held in compliance with all precautions and government requirements aimed at to limit the spread of Covid-19″,” says Anna Wilsone, chairman of the “Gluten Free Life” society.
Children and teenagers on a strict gluten-free diet find it difficult or impossible to go to a regular camp. Therefore, for the seventh year in a row, the Gluten Free Life Society has organized a special summer camp for children and adolescents with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. This is a great support for their families, because even without the quarantine imposed due to Covid-19, they are limited in their opportunities for outdoor recreation.
This year the participants will experience unforgettable adventures, vivid emotions and interesting games in the Koceni Sports House.
At the end of the camp, the coronation of Super-heroes will take place. The program of the gluten-free camp includes entertaining, educational and creative activities, active outdoor games, sports tournaments, photo orientation, strategic puzzle games, adventure games, movie nights with popcorn and other useful and fun entertainment. The novelty of the season will be the Million Run game. Camp Description (LV)
The camp provides four meals a day with the support of gluten-free food manufacturers Schar and Nestle.
