Who Is The Ball Glove King?
Chris Bangert loves gloves. As the man behind Ball Glove King, he is on a mission to unite the ball glove nerds.
JustGloves sat down with Chris to discuss his brand, the best baseball gloves, where he sees baseball in five years, and everything in between. Let’s dive in.
What made you start Ball Glove King?
I had been collecting baseball gloves for about 5 or 6 years and I had always wanted to make videos on them. It reached a point where I had over forty high-end gloves and my wife simply encouraged me to start recording. Honestly, without her encouragement I doubt that I ever would have started any of this.
Where did your passion for gloves come from?
My freshman year of highschool I bought my first high quality ball glove. I simply fell in love with the process of breaking in a glove as well as understanding the different types of leather.
When did you start playing baseball and what position did you play?
My first time on a team would have been tee ball. I always loved pitching the most but I played shortstop up until my sophomore year of highschool.
I then transferred over to the corners. I found myself mainly playing first by my senior year.
Wilson A2000 or A2K?
A2K all day!
Rawlings Heart of the Hide or Pro Preferred?
I’m gonna game a Heart of the Hide in the end but Pro Preferreds are the most buttery smooth gloves in the game!
>> Heart of the Hide vs. Pro Preferred. What’s The Difference? <<
What is the most important glove feature in your opinion?
I’ll have to go with the size. I’d rather have a super weird web at short than a 13” glove.
You are creating a custom glove from scratch. What does your glove look like and what features are you putting on it?
Tan palm, tan laces, tan everything. Then spice it up with some purple stitching. I’m a sucker for tan gloves and I just love when people add a little color to make it pop.
What is the best glove you’ve ever put on your hand?
Easily the Rawlings PRO-1000BC (from the 90’s).
It was the Original Horween and I cannot explain how nice it was. I sold that glove and I still regret it!
Which MLB player do you think has the best glove in the game today?
That is such a hard question to answer! I’m gonna have to go with Francisco Lindor. The REV1X gives him endless possibilities for designs!
If you could have dinner with three players, past or present, who are you choosing and why?
- Rick Ankiel – Growing up he was one of my favorite players and he’s got one of the most interesting MLB careers out there.
- Tommy Edman – Pretty weird answer but the dude is my favorite player right now.
- Barry Bonds – Because he’s Barry Bonds!
Favorite activity outside of baseball?
Goofing off with the family!
Where do you see baseball in five years?
I see it continuing on its current path. Home run or strike out. We’ve seen less and less strategy in baseball like bunting for example. Maybe the better way to look at it is that launch angle and exit velo have become the new strategy.
What is your number one tip for someone looking to buy a new ball glove?
My best advice is to go to a local store and feel around. See what you like and don’t like. Using YouTube can help a ton because every glove is designed for specific positions. Whether you watch me or someone else go get a second opinion! Then go online and buy the glove because often you can find cheaper prices. Plus, the gloves in store aren’t in very good shape sometimes.

The representative of the Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Aleksey Goncharenko was reprimanded because he spoke at the meeting in rubber gloves. Gordon reports.
Before the start of the PACE meeting, Honcharenko announced that he would wear gloves, Ukrinform notes. “After all, if our colleagues are going to open the doors for the Russian delegation today, they must clearly understand that it is necessary to provide all members of the assembly with chemical and radiation protection suits,” he said.

During his speech, the MP told Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland: “If you take hold of the PACE door handle, don’t forget to deactivate it.” After Goncharenko left the podium, the moderator of the meeting urged him “not to dress like on a theater stage.”

May 8, 2008 1:00 am
The second season of the popular show begins on Channel One.
Introducing the participants
Sergey Chelobanov quit drinking and smoking for the sake of the show.
Sergei Chelobanov, singer and composer
Boxing nickname – Omulu (the deity of the voodoo religion, severely punishes those who disrespect him)
Age – 46 years old
Height – 180.5 cm 90 003
Weight – 87 kg
Impact force – 200 kg
Fact of biography
How did Chelobanov meet Alla Pugacheva? The prima donna was given a cassette with his songs, and Alla Borisovna wanted to see the young talent. And here Sergei appeared before her. On that day, he wore rather tattered boots on his feet. Later, Pugacheva ordered Chelobanov to arrange the song “Thank you”, and gave out the fee with designer shoes.
Gediminas Taranda, dancer, head of the Imperial Russian Ballet
Boxing nickname – Viking
Age – 47 years old
Height – 184 cm
Weight – 100 kg
Striking force – 250 kg
Fact of biography greeted the entire staff of the Bolshoi Theater, where he began his career.
Taranda – yesterday’s graduate of the choreographic school – was supposed to appear in the eight bullfighters in the play “Don Quixote”. When he heard the shout “Taranda, on stage!”, He jerked with all his might. And on the run I discovered that I forgot to take off the knitted stockings that ballet dancers put on so that their muscles do not cool down. The dresser arrived in time, cut the “wool” with scissors. Gediminas in a panic again pulled away, stumbled and literally drove onto the stage on the “fifth point”.
Nikita Dzhigurda, theater and film actor, bard
Fact of biography
Once Dzhigurda decided to endure Great Lent. And his post turned out to be really great. For five whole years, the actor lived as an ascetic: he did not consume fish, meat, or dairy products. And for the first year and a half, he generally lived only on vegetables and fruits, occasionally allowing himself a piece of grain bread. I was terribly thin. But on the other hand, as Nikita himself assures, after many years of hunger strike his consciousness expanded greatly and he learned to hear the thoughts of other people, as well as to foresee the future.
Andrey Chernyshov, actor (series “Thank you for everything”, “Two Fates” and others)
Boxing nickname – Gorgeous
Age – 35 years old
Height – 189 cm
Weight – 87 kg
Impact force – 200 kg. So this handsome man was played by Andrey Chernyshov, after which real glory fell upon him. On the street, different types approached him and teased him with the phrase from the “beer” video “Do you want me to guess what your name is?”.
Mikhail Politseymako
Boxing nickname – Beater
Age – 32 years old
Height – 177 cm
Weight – 110 kg
Impact force – 250 kg
Biography fact he is said to be “the son of Semyon Farada”. That’s why he took his mother’s surname. The policeman never used his father’s name. Difficult times came – he got out himself. To earn money, he once even had to advertise vodka in a supermarket.
Otar Kushanashvili, journalist, showman
Boxing nickname – Fearless
Age – 37 years old
Height – 177 cm
Weight – 72 kg
Impact force – 150 kg
Fact of biography
Otar arrived to conquer Moscow after he was expelled for bad behavior from Tbilisi University.
He managed to get a job as a correspondent in one of the capital’s newspapers, not knowing how to write in Russian. And after a while, the arrogance and assertiveness of Otar attracted the attention of television people. He was invited to host the Sharks of the Pen show on the then TV-6 channel. In the very first program, Kushanashvili made Valery Leontiev faint by asking him just one question: “Is it true that you are in an intimate relationship with your dog?”
Serega (Sergey Parkhomenko), singer, producer
Boxing nickname – Gomelsky
Age – 31 years old
Height – 184 cm
Weight – 95 kg 9000 3
Impact force – 250 kg
Biographical fact
Serega shocked the world of show business by breaking into the stars only thanks to himself – without money, without sponsors, without producers. It is curious that Serega, in addition to performing and promoting his songs, also designs caps. The pinnacle of his collection is a series of glamorous fur baseball caps.
Artur Dmitriev, figure skater, two-time Olympic champion, current trainer-consultant
Boxing nickname – Big Bear
Age – 40 years old
Height – 183 cm
Weight – 10 4 kg
Impact force – 300 kg
Fact of biography
Artur Dmitriev is the first person in the history of figure skating who became the Olympic champion twice, and at the same time with different partners. In 1992, he won gold in Albertville with Natalia Mishkutenok, and six years later in Nagano he climbed to the first step of the podium with Oksana Kazakova.
RING RULES
Nothing has changed since last season in terms of rules in the show. Fights will be held on a circular basis: each participant will fight with everyone. Professional judges give points for fights. Those with the most points go to the final, which will determine the owners of third, second place and the main prize – the championship belt of the King of the Ring project.
