How we test training shoes
Your browser does not support the video tag.
A lot of the men’s Nike training shoes look good. The big question is: which of them performs? Enter: RunRepeat.
Since we just enjoy uncovering the details about each shoe, we made sure to get into the nitty-gritty details to see which one delivers. We do this through the following procedure:
- Collate all the user and expert reviews to find out what the majority say about the shoe.
- Buy the shoes and test them out ourselves.
- Calculate and assign Corescores to each shoe to show its overall performance.

The company was founded in 1964 by student Phil Knight, a middle-distance runner for the University of Oregon, and his coach, Bill Bowerman. At first, it was called Blue Ribbon Sports and specialized in ordering sneakers in Asian countries and then selling them to the American market. After investing $500 each, Knight and Bowerman ordered 300 pairs of sneakers from the Japanese company Onitsuka Tiger (now ASICS).
The company’s first self-developed product – released in 1971 Nike sneakers with a waffle-shaped sole design, the idea of which Bowerman got from his wife, or rather from her waffle iron. In 1978, Blue Ribbon Sports was officially renamed Nike, Inc.
The name comes from the name of the Greek goddess of victory, Nike, and not from the English word, which would be read “nike”. Ignorance of this fact led to the widespread use of the incorrect transcription “Nike” in the Russian-speaking environment, which was even used in the name of the official representative of the company in Russia /

Military
Our mission is to bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete*.
We are committed to expanding diversity within the Nike workforce by engaging leaders in the military veterans community who embrace innovation and are ready to inspire others. Here we will talk about development, growth and leadership.
WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF SPORT
Employees of NIKE, Inc. thank you to all who serve in the military. One way to show our gratitude is to support non-profit organizations that address the needs of veterans and active-duty military personnel. We do this as part of our Until We All Win community investment program. Last year, total donations to 20 US nonprofits helping military veterans and their families totaled $500,000. This money went to the development of gaming and sports programs, assistance in obtaining education and advanced training.

MEET THE NIKE TEAM
At Nike Inc. we value the leadership and innovation that our current and former military employees bring to our team. Their service-oriented mindset has an important impact on our company and the communities in which we live and work.
OUR PARTNERS
We are proud to support organizations in the communities where we live and work that provide assistance to military personnel and veterans. Nike is proud to partner with the following organizations: Team Red, White & Blue, American Corporate Partners (ACP), Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), and Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program.
• Team Red, White & Blue (RWB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of America’s veterans by helping them participate actively in the community through physical and social activities.
Since 2014, Nike has partnered with Team RWB to motivate program members to be physically active in communities around the world. We are an official sponsor of the RWB Veterans Assistance Program.
• Nike is proud to partner with American Corporate Partners (ACP), a non-profit organization that helps active-duty military personnel move into the non-government sector. For this, individual mentoring is organized with the support of those who have already tried themselves in business.
• Nike participates in the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program. This is an innovative 12-week military program that provides participants with the education and practical experience to successfully transition to civilian positions.
• At 19In 72, the Department of Defense organized the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) program. The purpose of this program is to promote interaction and understanding between military personnel and their civilian employers, as well as to help resolve conflicts arising from an employee’s military obligations.
